“History shows that the government will spend whatever the tax system will yield plus as much more as it can get away with and now government is too big.” — Milton Friedman https://t.co/BDo1W5BktH

History shows government spends all tax revenue plus more. Government is too big, its programs aren't working, and it's doing more harm than good. No additional government programs are needed; existing, ineffective ones should be eliminated.

Speaker 0: Because otherwise, government will spend it. History shows definitely that the government will spend whatever the tax system will yield plus as much more as it can get away with. And and now government is too big. It's it's programs aren't working. It's doing far more harm than good. We don't need any additional government programs. We need to get rid of the ones that aren't work.

4 Essential Functions of Government according to Milton Friedman: 1) Defense from foreign enemies. 2) Protect the individual citizen from abuse/coercion by other citizens. 3) Define the rules. 4) Judicial System: Mechanism for adjudicating disputes around the meaning of rules. https://t.co/4SNrFnpqOm

Video Transcript AI Summary
The government should be limited to defending the country against foreign enemies, a function that seemingly cannot be privatized. Government endeavors generally cost twice as much as private enterprise. A second function is to protect individual citizens from abuse and coercion by other citizens, though the government performs this ineffectively due to overextension. Third, the government should define the rules, such as those regarding private property. Determining where to draw the line on such matters requires a governmental mechanism. Fourth, the government should provide a judicial system to adjudicate disputes about the meaning of these rules. These four functions are the only essential functions of government.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: The government should be limited, in my opinion, to very simple functions. Number one, to defending the country against foreign enemies. I have tried for a long time to see how to make national defense a private enterprise and I have never succeeded. It's easy to see how to privatize schooling, but I don't know how to privatize national defense. So I'm reconciled to the fact that we're gonna have to pay twice as much as we should have to pay in order to get an effective national defense. Because anything government does, on the average, there are some things that are more, some less, on the average anything government does costs twice as much as if it were being done by private enterprise. So, one function of government is to protect the country against foreign enemies, national offense. A second function of government, and one which it performs very, very badly, is to protect the individual citizen against abuse and coercion by other citizens. To keep you from being hit over the head, mugged on the street, your house broken into, and so on. And I believe that the government performs that function very ineffectively because it's doing so many things it has no business doing. A third function of government, a very important function, is to define the rules of the game we play. What's private property? If an airplane flies 10,000 feet over your house, is he violating your private property? If he flies 10 feet over your house, is he violating your private property? There's nothing natural about where the line should be drawn, so we have to have some mechanism for making the rules about that and that is an appropriate government function. And fourth, it's appropriate for government to provide a mechanism for adjudicating disputes about the meaning of those rules, the judicial system. Those are the four essential functions of government in my opinion and those are the only functions that are essential.

He encouraged critical thinking, but schools firing teachers like him hinder students' ability to form arguments. Warren's experience was challenging, and he hopes for privacy, freedom of speech, and dignity. He lost personal work when his computer was confiscated, and it should be returned to him.

@TheRabbitHole84 - The Rabbit Hole

Warren, who has now been fired, went viral for questioning why a student thought JK Rowling was transphobic. In the exchange, he asked the student to articulate specific reasons and cite evidence which made the student admit their stance could use more thought. Schools firing teachers who promote critical thinking is one of many reasons why so many students graduate unable to form cohesive arguments and acting like mindless NPCs. Teachers like Warren can be a part of the solution if schools grow a spine.

Speaker 0: So it happened yesterday. I was fired from my full time teaching position. Not going to I'd, it happened so quick. It happened in like 5 minutes. There's really no conversation so they clearly knew what they wanted to do. So it's not so much I don't think they're and I'd really genuinely I I'm not be because there's so little clarity on all of this, I'm really trying not to I I'm not interested in divulging anything. I had there's no utility in that. I never have. I never will. I think I have a right to articulate that I just lost my job and my basic observations, my life experience. There's no NDA. So, when you say we appreciate you not divulging, I I don't know if that means that you're threatening my severance package. I really hope not. I don't I don't even know what the severance package is. I'm still waiting but anyways, it was a bummer to lose my computer like that too. This could have been done. I understand if you disagree with me voicing opinions on YouTube or feeling like that's it's easier just to get rid of that. I understand. To get rid of a teacher like that. And I accept that. Sometimes how you do it though is important. I think this could have been done without just taking my computer and losing a book that I've been writing for 2 years. Multiple things I've been writing for 2 years. All the data from from 2 years. My digital life just I have my crypto accounts open. I have my my access to a plethora of my information at your fingertips. I really hope that you just do the right thing because honestly, I just want to be I hope I never see you again and I just want to live my life. I really am not interested in you guys. Good luck to you. I have devoted 4 years of my life to this school. And yesterday, it was like being a character in a video game and just being deleted. And the rest of it's like you were never there. It was remarkable by people that love to pretend they're your teammates. And, it's this is just my perspective on things, but and so the the reason was the reason I was giving, we don't trust you to not divulge information on online or upload online? Well, I've never divulged anything. I was I've Dave Rubin, doctor Drew, hours of podcasts. And not once did I ever cross any of the parameters that you laid out, that your lawyers laid out. And I I even praised you for and thanked you for making that so clear objectively recognizing what the rules were. There was no rules broken. You even said congratulations. The only time I've seen you in person this past year was maybe a week after that. Oh my goodness. It's our celebrity. What's on the docket? What up any upcoming events? Interviews? That was a quote and you know it. Yesterday was like a different person. So and I understand that had Elon Musk not tweeted that video, I probably this would have happened probably with the last 4 months ago when this initially happened. So all the the interpretation that I thought was objective seems to be malleable and subjective. And it seems to just be a matter of how something is received depending which way the wind's blowing. If it blows one way, then it's bad. If it blows this way and it's in your favor or there's eyeballs, if there's enough attention on it, then you'll just wait until that blows over. And I kind of logically, I I expected that I'll be honest but you're never quite prepared for it when you devote 4 years to something and the floor is pulled out and there's that sense of falling. Thank you all for your support. I don't regret trying. It's it can be challenging when you have a job that you love and all the dynamics that come with that. And a click of people that aren't happy with you going way back. And then things complicate and snowball and then they rise in power. And it's just you're trying to navigate all that and at the same time something comes along. And you know that if you don't try and make the most of it and just do your best with with both that you'll regret it. So you try and walk that line and juggle both. And it's hard when you do it when you do it alone and you don't have I can't think of a single time in the last 4 months that a single colleague, leadership, any of the principals, any of these people have ever how's the YouTube channel channel going? How are you doing? Is there any clarity we can offer? You just reference off another 5 minute meeting 4 months ago. In a one sentence email from 4 months ago when I was in the middle of this storm trying to navigate all this. It can be challenging navigating all this on your own. And best I can believe I've been doing my best. So anything that any perceived wrong that you may have, it was not intentional. I have done my best. And it's a shame that that this was coming for a while and I know it. So we'll see where it goes from here. Thank you all. Thank you so much to thank goodness for Wequel that I it's just this and Wequel now to try and make the most of those. I'm going all in. Thank you for your support. Sorry. This has been just a bit ranty.

However, evidence from Affirmative Action cases suggests that DEI does indeed give preference to less qualified candidates based on their group identity. The question that needs to be answered is why an individual's chances of obtaining a position should be influenced by their group identity. It remains to be seen whether @mcuban and others will address this question directly or continue to evade it.

@TheRabbitHole84 - The Rabbit Hole

The false claim that @mcuban and other demographic engineers in the DEI cabal pedal is that there is "zero evidence" that DEI entails selecting "less qualified candidates." They say this despite the extensive evidence that exists from Affirmative Action cases that indicates that DEI does, in fact, mean less qualified candidates get a leg up on the basis of their group identity while others are effectively handicapped. The question that these people owe us an answer to is a simple one: Why should an individual have a better or worse chance of obtaining a position on the basis of their group identity? I suspect they will continue to dodge answering this question directly and instead continue to obfuscate the issue to their followers. That said, if Cuban and others are genuinely unaware and change their stance after seeing the data then they will have my respect. The ball is in your court @mcuban

Perceptions can be skewed by selection bias, leading to a mismatch with reality. Media coverage can reinforce this, but reality often differs from what is portrayed.

After George Floyd: - White offenders were mentioned more. - Black offenders were mentioned less. In other words: White-on-Black homicides get more focus than Black-on-White homicides. In 2020, there were: - 876 White-on-Black homicides - 1,877 Black-on-White homicides

There is a discussion about the cost of putting kids on puberty blockers. Concerns are raised about the impact on bone density growth and mental development. A study is mentioned linking increased suicide risk post-transition. Elon Musk expresses plans to lobby against irreversible changes to children below the age of consent.

@TheRabbitHole84 - The Rabbit Hole

Yes, there is a cost to putting kids on Puberty Blockers. For example: - Bone density growth (on average) flatlines - "The teen’s bone density plummeted — as much as 15% in some bones — from average levels to the range of osteoporosis, a condition of weakened bones."

@TheRabbitHole84 is anyone studying mental development? How can it be safe to suppress hormonal development at that age but widely considered unhealthy to do certain activities like, go to a strip club?

@TheRabbitHole84 @jimjimmiejames This is a major problem. I will be actively lobbying to criminalize making severe, irreversible changes to children below the age of consent. Shame on those who advocate this! It is utterly contemptible.

Women, particularly Democratic women, are more intolerant of different viewpoints and thus more likely to block individuals with different views.

@ScottAdamsSays Affirmative action. We have allowed systemic racism to exist under the guise of progress for far too long.
