Speaker 0: Speaking to reporters in Berlin. I can just bring you some of his comments. He said a short while ago, in some previous, comments earlier that we must be prepared for scale of war our grandparents or great grandparents endured. If we deliver on our commitments, though, the tragedy can be prevented. That was in reference, I believe, to Ukraine. And you cannot keep The United States safe without a safe Europe. And going on to add that he is positive that The United States and Europe can get on the same page regarding Ukraine. There has obviously been great division between the views of the White House under Donald Trump in his second presidency and that of European allies and that of, Ukraine itself as well. In response to that, there has been a push to increase defense production capability within the European Union and the continent of Europe, including The United Kingdom as well. That's following pressure from the White House and Donald Trump for for Europe to to do more to ensure its own protection. And today, Mark Ruta is saying that allied defense spending must, rise.
