It's great to see such a massive turnout here today! Everyone in the labor movement, and those who value public service, recognize that enough is enough. An injury to one is an injury to all. They're counting on us giving up, but we can't. I know many of you have family, friends, and colleagues in the federal system who are scared. If you can, stand up. If you are able, decline to enforce illegal instructions. If the facts support it, use the whistleblower portals that the Senate Democrats have set up. We may be out of power, but we are not powerless. We're going to win.

Speaker 0: A good brother, a co fighter in this effort, our friend Brian Schatz, senator from Hawaii. I have to say I've been to this rally a number of years in a row, and this is maybe four or five times as big as it has ever been. We are all Right. Thank you. Yeah. And and there's a recognition, not just AFGE, but everyone in the labor movement, everybody who cares about public service, who cares about the American system of government is saying enough is enough. And an injury to one is an injury to all. Yeah. Now I just have one simple point. Reverend Barber made it, but I but it is worth repeating. They are counting on this sense of inevitability Yeah. Of being all powerful. Yeah. Of they can wave away laws that they find inconvenient to them. They are counting on all of us in the legislative branch, in the judicial branch, and out on the streets just giving up, but we cannot give up. Right. And and one of the things I just wanna say to you, and I know how hard it is. Everybody understands we've got family members, we've got friends, we've got coworkers in the federal system who are terrified about what's happening. That's right. If you are able stand up. If you are able Yeah. I want you to decline to enforce an illegal instruction. Yeah. That's right. Yeah. If if you are able and the facts support the case, sign up in one of those whistleblower portals that the United States Senate Democrats have put up. We are not powerless. We are out of power, but we are not powerless. That's right. That's right. And and it may not be right away, but we're gonna win this damn thing. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Alright. Thank you. Alright. Alright. Alright. Alright. I'm great. I'll take care. Always good to see you. Alright. Thank you all.

Alright, how we doing? On behalf of the labor caucus, we're with you. I'm Donald Norcross, I was a construction worker and electrician with the IBW. I'm from Jersey, and I'll say it: screw Trump. I'm Maxine Dexter, a doctor from Oregon and former UFCW member. I'm grateful for your strong stance protecting working families. I don't swear often, but we have to screw Trump. I've introduced the Stop Musk Act to protect federal employees from retaliation for resisting Elon Musk's unlawful actions. I'll stand with my union brothers and sisters every step of the way. We're going to fight for public servants, and we're going to get the majority in '26.

NBC News projects that Donald Trump has won Pennsylvania, bringing his electoral vote count to 266, while Kamala Harris has 194. This marks the third of seven major swing states called. The results present a significant challenge for the Democratic ticket. Trump is expected to speak soon at the Palm Beach Convention Center, where the crowd is eagerly awaiting his remarks. As the situation unfolds, it's clear that the electoral college favors Trump, and he might secure a popular vote majority. Despite concerns about democratic legitimacy and past events, if Trump wins, it aligns with the constitutional process. The focus now shifts to the preservation of American democracy and the constitutional order moving forward.

Speaker 0: Remarks because NBC News has a projection to make in the presidential contest in the swing state of Pennsylvania. NBC News now projects that that presidential contest has been won by Donald Trump. Now I believe that means that we are at a 266 electoral vote count for Donald Trump. Kamala Harris had a 190 4 electoral votes. So, to be clear here, this is the 3rd of the 7 major swing states that have been called. But Georgia and North Carolina and Pennsylvania, as those 3 states, presents an almost an an an unless there's a it presents an insurmountable, future here for for Kamala Harrison for the Democratic ticket. In terms of what's gonna happen here next, we are expecting that Donald Trump is going to speak to the Palm Beach Convention Center in Florida. We've seen in the backdrop there while we are speaking, with Vaughn, about we've seen how excited the crowd is. You see the crowd there now wrapped and waiting for Donald Trump to speak. We do not have guidance as to when Trump's remarks will happen, but we expect that it could be, any moment now. Chris Hayes, with the projection in Pennsylvania, we pretty much know how this is gonna end. Speaker 1: Yeah. I think it's pretty clear. I think the writing has been on the wall. And, you know, one of the jobs that we all have in the media is to be truthful with people and transparent. We're very transparent about the process that brought us to this point. I'll just say this as as we're preparing for Trump to take the stage. You know, Steve is going through the numbers. We have this very funky and terrible system called the electoral college, which decides elections in a way that's totally different than every other election in the United States is decided and the way that anything is decided anywhere else in the world. We should scrap it. From the perspective of basic democratic legitimacy, which is something I'm pretty concerned about, something we talk about a lot on this network. It looks possible that Donald Trump might emerge with a popular vote majority, when when all the Speaker 0: votes We won't know for a long time. Speaker 1: We won't know for a long time, but this is not outside the realm of possibility. The electoral college looks strongly in his favor. And if that is the case, if he has won the election, then he has won the election. And the reason I say that is because we've spent many years talking about democracy and its vibrancy and the importance of the peaceful transfer of power. We've had a violent insurrection staged against the constitutional order by the man we're expecting to speak here who urged his supporters to march to that capital where they assaulted police officers and attempted to essentially steal power away from the majority of the country that had voted for Joe Biden. It's really important to note that while I believe that institutions have failed dramatically in putting us in the position we are, including the Supreme Court and other institutions, the Republican Party, that if he won, then he won. And that's what the constitution says. It's what our current constitutional order says. It's what democratic majorities, at least in the swing states electoral college have said. And that, that means we're in a new world for this country, but the sort of preservation of American democracy and the constitutional order, begins as an ongoing process, anew tomorrow. Speaker 0: Steph, go ahead, but just keep your eyes on that monitor because we are expecting these remarks any moment.

Many immigrants at a Trump rally in the Bronx support his immigration stance, feeling they came legally and are overlooked by the city. Speaker 0: A little counterintuitive, but I did talk to folks in that crowd who themselves were immigrants. A lot of folks from the Dominican Republic. A lot of people that I talked to were born and raised in the Bronx. For some of them, this is the was their first ever Trump event. And when you talk to immigrants that are going to these Trump rallies, they agree with his message on immigration. Their point is, look, I did it the right way. I came here legally. And especially those living in New York right now, the sentiment I heard from a lot of voters was, you know, we have these immigrants right now that the city is taking care of in a way that I've never felt taken care of by this city. It was a large crowd and a diverse crowd. Yes, there were some people from Westchester, from New Jersey, but there were a lot of people there that were from the Bronx. Black and Latino voters that are sick of how much they're paying for gas and groceries, that are frustrated with the situation at the border. And that find that find president Biden's rhetoric when it comes to minority voters a little bit offensive. Take a listen. Legal troubles. Does any of that worry you at all? Speaker 1: No. At all. I think he's gonna be elected to president because everyone still wants him as the president. Speaker 2: In the world. Speaker 1: We're not the the great apple anymore. We're not the big apple. We are the rotten apple. Speaker 2: Biden went on the Charlemagne de God show and said you ain't black if you don't vote for him. I'm black because that's what I how I was born and what I am. And Trump And he's gonna be is the man that can save this country. Period. Speaker 0: So interesting to talk to those voters, Anna. And multiple people actually mentioned that Charlamagne the God interview. I did press back with some of those folks, mentioning some of Trump's rhetoric that's been seen as as racist and bigoted. They said they don't have a problem with that. They view his actions, over his words in terms of what he they feel he can do for their community. Again, the economy, those pocketbook issues over and over again, top of the list. It's important to hear from those voters. I'm glad you were there to get
