So we are going to discuss about 3 things To avoid and then 3 things to consume in order to minimize, the fat in your liver and Prevent the fatty liver to progress into scarring, fibrosis, and eventually cirrhosis of the liver. So three things to avoid. The top 1 would be avoiding sodas and juices. Both of these are empty calories. They wreak havoc on your liver leading to fatty I get asked this question a lot of times that is diet soda okay? My answer to that is That, these diet sodas have artificial sweeteners like aspartame, which can disrupt your delicate gut microbiome. So I would recommend, avoiding, sodas and juices. You could choose water, sparkling water as a replacement. The second thing we should avoid if you're suffering from fatty liver is deep fried foods. So There is a saying called if we are deep frying, we are dying. So deep frying foods should be avoided. If you still like to consume deep fried foods, I would recommend consuming the foods made in air fryer. So air fryer is a lesser evil As compared to deep oil frying. Make sure that when you use air fryer, you use high smoke oils like avocado oil or ghee. The third thing which should be avoided to, minimize the fat in the liver is Ultra processed foods. Things like chips, candies, sugary cereals, hot dogs, and instant noodles. The sugary cereals, the the generic kind, those are known to be serial killers. And this is what goes in the mouths of Millions of kids around the world as a first thing in the morning. So sugary cereals, we need to switch it with something healthy. Alright. So three things To consume if you are suffering from fatty liver. The number 1 would be the beverages, and that would be Black coffee, black tea, green tea, matcha. Make sure you don't overdo these. 1 to 2 cups a day is sufficient to get The health benefits of these beverages for the fatty liver. Do not add sugar. It is okay to Add a touch of honey into your black coffee, tea or green tea. If you suffer from any sleep issues, You can consider going the decaf route. The decaf options also have plenty of antioxidants which are great for your liver, so feel free to use those. Second thing you should consider consuming if you have fatty liver is turmeric. Turmeric has a compound called curcumin, which Has anti inflammatory potential. You can plan to consume half to 1 teaspoon of turmeric daily. Try to incorporate that into, you know, soups or, marinades. Make that a part of your routine. You can also add that to yogurt if you like to eat yogurt, every evening, which by the way I love to do. Yogurt has a lot of probiotics, and when you add a touch of Turmeric in it, that adds to the anti inflammatory potential of yogurt. The third thing I would advise you to consider is, Consuming ginger. Because ginger has a compound called Gingerol, which also has tons of anti inflammatory properties. So try to consume ginger tea regularly. Just cut half an inch of ginger root and, you know, you can boil it or you can just steep it with boiling water and consume it. Speaker 0: Pineapple enzymes, that's a good question. Let me show you that. Now notice, notice that the stomach releases Pepsin and it releases, and the duodenum via the pancreas, trypsin and chymotrypsin, those 3 are proteolytic enzymes. Proteolytic and proteolytic enzymes break down protein, and there are 2 plants that have proteolytic enzyme. 1 is the pineapple, and the pineapple has bromelain in it and that is a proteolytic enzyme. And the papaya, has papain in it. So proteolytic enzymes break down protein. So your proteolytic enzyme is trypsin and trimotrypsin and pepsin, and these also are proteolytic enzymes, the good news is you can buy Bromelain and Papain in a tablet form, a concentrated form. And I personally would prefer someone use the lemon juice or the cayenne pepper because it boosts your stomach to make its own, but if someone has pancreatic problems, pancreatitis, pancreas, that is cancerous, they need the proteolytic enzymes. Many people with pancreatitis or pancreatic cancer, die of malnutrition. Can you see why? Because the pancreas is the main organ of digestion. So if anyone has pancreatic problems the proteolytic enzymes pap propane and bromelain are vital for them some products have something called porcine in it and that's an enzyme extracted from the stomach of the pig. I'm not interested in that. So be mindful when you read your labels. And there are some herbs that are very bitter and they stimulate the release of digestive enzymes, liver enzymes and pancreatic, and that is Gentian and dandelion in Saint Mary's thistle or sometimes it's called milk thistle. Speaker 0: I had water only for 3 days. This is what happened. Now, earlier this year, group of us spanning 6 countries, totaling over a 100, decided to come together to do a period of fasting. Some did 3 days, some 7, some 10, some 14. And, people lost up to ยฃ20. I started off the fast at a ยฃ181 with normal blood pressure, normal urine. I started a fast on Thursday night. I had my last meal Thursday evening at about 8. And so, by Friday morning, which would have been my typical breakfast, I skipped that. So that morning, I went to work having water only. But for the water, I typically would add some pink Himalayan salt, a sprinkle in my first glass of water to make sure that I'm getting my 60 essential minerals every day. And this was spring salt, a new brand on the market. That Friday morning, I went to work at about 8, and I worked for 9 hours that day at the office up and down seeing patients. And I felt okay. I didn't feel weak. I would occasionally feel hunger. My first bottle of hunger came on about midday 1 o'clock, and I drank some water, and that hunger went away within 15 minutes. My stomach felt full, and I continued working. Work till the evening. 9 hours had passed, and I was feeling okay. At the end of the day, I went home, and I was able to do some exercise. As you can see on the screen here, I did a 15 minute run on my treadmill. I did 30 pull ups, and I did 45 dip. I felt strong that day. My blood pressure to my blood sugar on screen now you can see, and by the end of that day, I almost lost 1 pound. I went to bed pretty early. I slept overnight for 9 hours. When I got up, I exercised. I did 500 abs that morning. That took me about 12 minutes to do the 500 abs. Got ready, and went to church. At church, I was involved in a panel discussion. Having my water bottle with me sipping throughout the day, I didn't feel hungry as my mind was on so many other things. To be honest though, during the day I started to feel a little nauseated, you know, drinking water for so many hours with nothing else in the stomach you know I was feeling nauseated. So when I got home from church I had to go drop for some ginger tea. So you know ginger tea bag no sugar added nothing but ginger and water, and that really was very helpful, to ease in nausea. I think I rested the rest of the day, but by evening, we decided to go to the movies. The movie started about 9 PM and I was at the movies until about 1 am. That evening before I go into the movies I did some measurements as you can see on the screen and by this time I was down to 178.6 having lost almost ยฃ2 in just 2 days. My blood pressure was normal, My blood sugar was pretty good. My body was beginning now to make, its own blood sugar because I ran out of my stored glucose. My urine test, showed nothing yet, so I'd not started to make any ketones. Following day was Sunday morning, so having gotten home at 1, I slept until about 7, 7:30 that morning. So, I got 6 hours of sleep that night. Woke up pretty rested, a little weak now, so I decided not to exercise that morning. So but, I went off to work. So, work was again another typically long day. Started work at about 8:30, 9, and I worked throughout the day. I didn't feel my strongest, but having checked my urine, I realized that my urine was lots of ketones. My blood had begun to break down. My fat stores now. That's the evidence of ketones in the urine, and I was no longer running on carbohydrate because I hadn't eaten. So there was no carbohydrate in my system. During the course of work that day, I completed 3,900 steps in the office that was monitored by my smartwatch here. I had by evening begun to feel much stronger. I had no nausea. I had no headaches. I was mentally clear. That day I must be honest with you, I worked and I was thinking straight, my memory was good, I was very sharp, there was no lapse in my concentration, I didn't feel sleepy and over time I've found out when I'm not eating I'm more alert, more awake, concentrate better, and my mind is much faster. That's what I've observed for me. So at Sunday evening it was time to break the fast, and to be honest I really was tempted to go longer, to go another day or 2 because I was feeling so great. Now, I didn't persist because my weight loss was so rapid, so at this time, no, I've been down to ยฃ176. So having started at 181, I was now down almost ยฃ5 in 3 days. So I broke my fast in the evening with some soup. So why did I go through all of this? Why did I fast? What are the benefits? Now, there are many benefits for fasting, and I'm gonna give you a few of them. First one is actually obvious, weight loss. You do lose weight when you restrict calorie intake, and the weight loss can be dramatic. One of my group members lost almost ยฃ20 in 14 years of fasting and she felt absolutely great, was able to go to work and do all her daily activities on just water and a few sips of tea without sugar. Found that through animal studies that when you fast your body breaks down first for energy, you're damaged and devitalized tissue. So, if you have some injuries, some joint issues, some muscle injuries, whatever it is your body scavenges those damaged tissue and use them for energy and then renews them. How does the body renew them? We found also that during fasting the amount of stem cells in your blood increases dramatically. Stem cells are those pluripotential or multipotential cells that have the ability to transform into any type of cell in your body. So if you have some muscle injury, yes, stem cells can go to that site transform into muscle cells and repair those tissues. The other benefit of fasting is what we call hormesis. In simple terms, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So we've found that putting your body through adversity, heat, cold, hunger, exercise seems to activate mechanisms in your DNA that makes you stronger. So in rats, for example, they have found that fasting them for 3 days increases their lifespan, and we've been able to increase the rats lifespan by up to 40% by fasting them intermittently. This has been found to be through DNA or gene mechanism so fasting turns on a group of 7 genes we call sirtuins and these genes once activated enhance longevity. Additionally for weight loss we found that fasting causes you to burn first abdominal fat. That's the difficult fat to lose off your body. Now, fasting causes you to lose abdominal fat. That's the hardest fat to lose, but when you fast your body seems to go for those tours first. So, as you can see, waist went from 34 down to 33.1. So, I lost almost an inch in just 3 days of fasting. Imagine if you're gone for 14 days. Some people lost 4 or 5 inches off their waist in my group of fasting. Fasting has many benefits. It won't kill you. It will make you stronger. And if you are courageous enough to take it on, start slow, intermittent fast, then do one day fasting, then you may want to go to a 3 or a 5 day fast. I guarantee you, you will not die. It doesn't matter if you're diabetic, hypertensive, you know, consult with your physician and have someone monitor you, monitor your urine for ketones. You can do fasting safely and repeatedly and reap the many benefits. Because we may not be eating the healthiest food all the time. We have cellular waste inside of our body. How do we get rid of that? How do we clear it? So this is why our body has a lymphatic system. A lymphatic system helps us remove toxins inside the body, but we need to help our lymphatic system stay strong. So tapping on those areas, massaging our lymphatic system, especially the lymph nodes, areas where we carry a lot of toxins really really helps with that. And when you consider that the life of the flesh is in the blood, cayenne pepper is a wonderful healer and you can put cayenne pepper with any other herb and it'll intensify its action. So let's begin by looking at how you can use cayenne pepper internally. By the way, how would you take it? Well, a medicinal dose may be a quarter of a teaspoon and a little bit of water and throw it down. Won't it burn? Well, I prefer to call it tingle. It might feel like it's burning but it will never burn. Internally, it'll heal a stomach ulcer because what the cane does it causes a constriction of any open blood vessels. So just for a moment, let's look at externally. If you have a cut cut, you pour cayenne pepper into it and it'll stop the bleeding. Broke my arm and my bones were sticking out. I'd be very thankful for a doctor to perform an operation to get my arm working again, but there are lots of little tiny bits and pieces that the natural remedies will fix. So any cut, put the cayenne pepper on it. Yes, it will hurt but it's already hurting and remember it'll settle down and then bind it up because it'll constrict the blood vessels and cause them to shut. Now internally, if there's a bleeding ulcer and you take cayenne pepper, won't it hurt? It'll give a little bit of a tingle, but it will never hurt, meaning it will never cause an ulcer. And by the way, it has been shown today that aspirin causes brain bleeds. This is very, very safe with no side effects. Now if someone is on warfarin or aspirin and they're a little concerned, I would suggest start taking a quarter of a teaspoon 3 times a day. And most people, if they're on warfarin, they have to be tested, yeah, every few weeks or every month. And the doctor will say, your blood's getting so thin, we can reduce your medication.
