Speaker 0: What the do I have to do in this council in order to get respect as a black woman? I'm not afraid of anybody here. When I make a mistake, I will be clear. I don't hate you as a white woman. I don't hate you as a white man. I am sick and tired of this body so stupidly racially divided, so afraid, so depraved. People with no faith because they are afraid of their losing their advancement. They're afraid of bargaining. They're afraid of leveraging. These people have, oh my god. I can't even call you cowards because desperation deserves mercy. Cancer to redistricting. Fine. We give it to a white woman. Can we all get along? Can we get together? Can we love each other now? Can we make sure that black and brown babies don't die? Can we make sure that cops don't kill before people are proven innocent? Can we do that? No. No. No. No. Because this body crucifies you first because of allegations. This is not a court. You don't get to crucify people before they're proven guilty. They're innocent until proven guilty. Amen. Now after this, I will look forward to working with you because I have stamina. I believe, as Baldwin said, what you do not what you say. Your votes here sometimes are racist. And I am here to tell you, if the voters don't vote me back Speaker 1: We are get votes back.

We have Juan Horace and Randy Fine with us, who gave us their endorsement earlier. They were early supporters and have been great friends. We also have Joe Gruters and Anna Maria Rodriguez, who have been incredible and supportive from the beginning. Anna Maria Rodriguez is currently working on important matters and sends her love.

I notice a lack of diversity in this crowd, particularly regarding people of color, and I'm curious about the reasons behind it. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we acknowledge Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman on the U.S. Supreme Court, appointed by Joe Biden, who aimed to follow in Jimmy Carter's footsteps by appointing more women and Black women to federal judgeships. General Brown, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, may also be present, though it's hard to confirm. I did see Jim Clyburn here.

It is an honor to stand with colleagues as we honor Latino Advocacy Day. A mother of three was detained and is on expedited deportation for wanting a better life. Latino Advocacy Day started because of unlawful and inhumane actions against immigrants. Dolores Huerta marched with us in 2008, fighting for humanity and dignity, and marched with us yesterday. We have Ladd because historically, buildings like this have not been open to black and brown people. We created a day to say you are welcome in the people's house. Latino advocacy day is a day when our communities have the courage to show up, and they get deported. I am ashamed today.

The speaker acknowledges that Allegra Stratton has resigned and pays tribute to her achievements. They admit that the handling of the subject in the rehearsal was frivolous and inexcusable. However, they highlight Allegra's contributions as a colleague and effective spokesperson for COP 26. The speaker expresses sympathy for Allegra on this sad day.

I am resigning as Speaker of the House of Commons due to recognizing an individual during a joint address, causing pain to various communities. My resignation is effective tomorrow to allow for the election of a new speaker. Thank you for your support during my term.

First speaker: Calls the indictment unjust and says intimidation tactics have been pervasive, with weeks showing different members seeking sanctuary in hopes of intimidating and distracting from the Epstein files. They look forward to their day in court to prove themselves and state the truth. If Congress becomes about intimidation and scare tactics, especially attacking minorities, they will keep fighting for the district. They have received much support and will continue fighting until the district gets fair prices, housing, and fair representation in Congress. They note that those who hate the fight will come for them. They urge some colleagues to step down or resign, arguing they weren’t elected by those who are in the district. They insist they will keep fighting for the people and work to ensure only those who elected them make decisions. They reiterate that they are here for the people. Second speaker: Questions about the investigation into the congresswoman’s families, stating that this is part of congressional duties. They say the congresswoman is under investigation for congressional ethics regarding violations of campaign finances and assert that she must answer to the people of her district.

Vivek, who is new to the party and voted for Obama, may not be aware of this, but it is crucial for our party to address this issue correctly. As a suburban woman, I understand the importance of getting it right.

Our President, Joe Biden, couldn't be here today but is recovering well and eager to return to work. I want to highlight his impressive accomplishments in just three years, which are unparalleled in modern history. Let's give him a round of applause.

Congratulations to Brian and others. There are a couple of senators here, but the speaker doesn't particularly like them, so they won't be introduced. Over the course of this amazing season, the members of this team gave us some of the most in Washington. The speaker didn't think it was that big a deal, actually.

Good evening, everyone. I'm Charlotte Clymer, and my pronouns are she, her. I'm thrilled to be part of this historic gathering of women. I won't reiterate the insightful points made by the previous speakers or those who will follow. Instead, I want to share a brief story about my support for Vice President Harris.

I made a mistake in calling Mr. Parnas a Republican witness, he is actually your witness. I was a Republican for Trump. The committee is in recess due to votes, we will reconvene in 10 minutes.

It's great to be here in the New Year. A year ago, I never imagined I'd be running for Congress, but I've always stepped up when needed. Things up there in Congress are a mess. When the congresswoman called and said she was retiring and wanted me to take her seat, I was surprised. She's a straight shooter. The congressional seat is much larger than my house seat, where I was getting into a rhythm with constituent services. We've got trouble and also the amazing Madam Williams, who is holding it down in the seat of the legendary John Lewis. She honors his legacy. This is the message she wanted to send today.
