I was born in Romania, waited years for a US visa, went through a long process to become a citizen, and voted for the first time in 2016. Now, I feel betrayed by the Democrats.

I understand the pain of racism and fight against it every day. If I didn't mention slavery, it's because it's a well-known part of the Civil War.

A Congressman from Texas states his district is white-majority and would have been won by Trump by 25 points. He says he is a direct descendant of a slave born on the Rosedown plantation. He believes he is being judged by the content of his character, evidenced by white people voting for him. He doesn't want to hear Whoopi Gobre's conversation about it being worse to be Black in America. The Congressman's 75-year-old father had to get sandwiches at the back door in the French Quarter, but his son is now a Republican Congressman in a white-majority district in Texas. He concludes that this is America and should be celebrated.

I used to be a blind Democrat, following my girlfriend's views. I switched to supporting Trump during the pandemic. I believe Trump has provided opportunities and wealth for black people. I think Biden was blindly voted in based on emotions. Biden's comment about black voters was offensive, and I believe he is unfit to lead.

I love my country because of the freedom I have. To the democrat party, if you think black and brown people need government assistance to succeed, it may be considered racist. It's time to reconsider.

I am a strong supporter of Donald Trump and I believe in his presidency. However, I want to emphasize that being black does not determine someone's political beliefs. Trump 2024. Trump 2025. Trump all day. People of color, especially in the black community, face unfair treatment based on their appearance, culture, and race. This discrimination needs to be addressed.

Local leadership appears corrupt, prioritizing profit over community welfare. We need Trump to restore America and believe he has a divine purpose in this.

How many of you used to vote Democrat? And how many have always voted Republican? We have a great mix here. I grew up as a Democrat but, after studying the issues, I realized I was actually a conservative. It's important to me, as a Black man, to have the freedom to choose how I vote. I find it racist when society dictates my political beliefs. Over the years, I've learned to think for myself and have come to appreciate conservative policies, which is why I am where I am today.

I talk to black folk all the time as somebody that's a child of a preacher. Listen. Most black people are not republicans simply because we just as like y'all racist. I can't hang out with the KKK in them. That's really what it is. But when we think about who we are as black people and we think about where we come from, most black people have very conservative values. That's right. Right?
