We fought hard to keep the fire away from our properties, but we couldn't stop it. The water shut off, and even the firemen couldn't refill their trucks. The fire grew, and we felt defeated as we watched our houses burn. We did everything we could, but without water, we were helpless. It's heartbreaking to see our home destroyed. I was worried about his safety, and when he said we lost the house, it hit me hard. I was planning to retire, but now I have to start over. It's a new journey, and it brings tears to my eyes. I still love this place, despite everything. Moving to Honolulu is an option, but the people and the climate here are beautiful.

FEMA is present but hindering mission operations. Federal employees have booked entire hotels, leaving no room for those rescued from the mountains. The speaker and team have been working nonstop, lacking sleep and hygiene. The devastation is described as biblical and apocalyptic. Government helicopters are reportedly not being released to those on the ground in remote mountain towns who are requesting body bags. Rescue operations were halted for a presidential photo op, which is considered unconscionable. Donations can be made at saveourallies.com. Those needing rescue can submit information at saveourallies.org. Special operations personnel are working to reach inaccessible areas.

I voted for Donald Trump, and now our farm is at risk. We're in danger of losing it because the NRCS isn't upholding their contract with us regarding the EQIP program. This program, which cost-shares improvements like fencing and wells, was funded by the Inflation Reduction Act. However, executive orders have frozen the funding, preventing payments for completed work and future projects. This isn't just affecting me; other farmers are in the same situation. Before making business decisions, I verified the funding was secured per contract, not contingent. Now, they're breaking the contract due to the funding freeze.

What hurts most is the soul of the heart when you see people who were left with nothing, when you see the animals dead. We do fundraisers; I can’t even speak about the anguish we feel, we live here. This place for us is paradise, and they burned the paradise, man, they left, they ruined everything. And here what’s happening is they’re trying to sell Patagonia to all the Jews, man, this is known for a long time, everyone knows it here, it’s full of Israelis, everyone is buying the land, nobody does anything, and the only people who step up are the people who lost everything. They left us alone, alone.

America is under attack from natural disasters like hurricanes and wildfires, including one in Wyoming that burned hundreds of thousands of acres. This may not be random, especially since a 73,000-acre fire was allowed to burn for days near Acme, where rare earth minerals worth $1 billion were discovered. The Rock Springs uplift in Wyoming could contain 18 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent. North Carolina with its lithium and Florida with phosphate are also at risk of being ravaged for resources. This reflects a mindset that treats land as expendable, prioritizing profits over people's lives, potentially leading to a dystopian future. Many affected by the disasters in Wyoming lack insurance to rebuild, and homeowners in rural areas struggle with fire insurance coverage.

My name is Timmy from Ruidoso, New Mexico. Last summer, our town was devastated by the South Fork and Salt Fires. The South Fork Fire was caused by lightning, while the Salt Fire was arson. Just before the fires, we were discussing low-income housing and the impact of Airbnb in our small resort town, which attracts visitors from West Texas. Interestingly, a Hollywood film about Paradise, California, was being shot here, starring Matthew McConaughey, which drew attention to our town. A wealthy group, including politicians and real estate moguls, aims to profit from reshaping urban landscapes by buying fire-susceptible land through shell companies. Currently, our town is working with the USDA buyback program to purchase land from residents in flood zones who lack insurance, but it's unclear if the offers are fair market value or if they will use eminent domain.

There is a significant water issue despite no drought, as water is being diverted to protect a small fish species. This water, which flows naturally from Canada, could be used to benefit the land and forests, which are currently dry and at risk. The lack of water contributes to the high costs of forest fires, amounting to billions annually. Additionally, environmental regulations prevent proper forest management, such as raking and clearing debris. Simple maintenance could reduce fire hazards and improve forest health.

There’s a growing frequency of extreme weather events, like the 100 mph winds in Southern California, which should not have caught us off guard. We’ve known since 2018 that such occurrences are becoming more common. Insurance companies were already pulling fire coverage from homes in the area months before this event. In the past 70 years, timber harvests in California dropped by 75%, leaving behind 163 million dead trees. Regulatory policies like the California Environmental Quality Act hindered local governments from clearing this vegetation. Multiple bills aimed at wildfire prevention were either rejected or vetoed, including those to bury power lines. This disconnect between the increasing risk of wildfires and the lack of legislative action reflects severe negligence and incompetence.

As State Farm's Chief Innovation Officer, my role involves future-proofing the company against consumer trends and technological disruptions. Regarding the pullout from California, property prices appreciate quickly, but the Department of Insurance regulations are slow. We're saying homes in Malibu are worth more, our rating needs to increase to keep up, so we're constantly requesting rate increases, but the reviews take too long. If we are short $5 billion and the Department of Insurance doesn't allow us to adjust rates, we have to cancel policies. The California fires are predictable, especially in areas like the Palisades, which I consider a tinderbox due to its desert-like environment. Also, I've tasked HR with finding the demographic profile of America in 2040 with more Hispanic and Latino employees for our workforce.

Central and South Florida National Weather Service offices are reportedly 20-40% understaffed, from Tampa to Key West, including Miami. These staffing shortages are allegedly causing a nearly 20% reduction in weather balloon releases, degrading forecast quality. There's also a chance NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft may not fly this year, potentially leading to less reconnaissance and uncertainty about hurricane strength before landfall, similar to Hurricane Otis in Acapulco, Mexico. The speaker urges listeners to contact their representatives to stop these cuts.

Last night, I evacuated my home in LA due to wildfires, prompting me to reflect on a conversation between Joe Rogan and Donald Trump about wildfire management in California. Trump highlighted two issues: water management and forest maintenance. In 2023, California's policies led to the diversion of 195.5 billion gallons of water into the ocean to protect the Delta smelt, while forests remain overgrown with dead trees. A study found 91.4 million dead trees across California, which environmental policies have prevented from being cleared, contributing to devastating fires. Misguided environmental protections often harm both human lives and the very species they aim to protect. California's government struggles with ineffective policies, leading to increased homelessness and inadequate crisis response. While grateful for government support, it's clear improvements are necessary.

Speaker 0: I had a guy who worked, very, very, very high up at Citibank. And he told me around 2008, he said, Glenn, you know, don't worry about the financial system. And I'm like, uh-huh. And he said, you know, we're never gonna go broke. I mean, do you know how much just the national parks are worth? And I looked at him and said, are you seriously telling me that we should commoditize the national parks? And he said, it's gonna happen. And I wonder now if this is what he was talking about. If it was just a digital not actually selling them, it's just a digital commoditization of our parks. Speaker 1: Yeah. So apply this now to the the phrase that we all heard during the COVID era, you'll own nothing and be happy. Well Yes. There's certain people that want to own everything, and that includes things that have never been able to be owned before that were considered things like the public commons, like rivers, lakes, the ocean itself, natural forests, all sorts of it. These people want to put all of that into the financial system, fractionalize it, tokenize it, and sell pieces of it around, use it to speculate on. Mean, it's It's very insane. Yeah. And so, this is just one aspect of digital currency play. Obviously, there's a lot more than that just going on as well. I would argue that a lot of this push, particularly in The US for dollar stablecoins supposedly being better than a central bank digital currency, also falls into this paradigm we talked about earlier of, you know, moving from the public to the private of the public private partnership because a lot of these stablecoin issuers, you know, if the the big concerns about CBDCs was that they're seasable, they're surveillable and they're programmable, Well, all of those three things also can apply to stablecoins. The only difference is that you would have a private company issue it and control it. But we've seen time and again how a lot of these private entities are willing to do that. When contacted, just look at how Bank of America behaved with January 6, people accused of wrongdoing on that day, for You know, they have no qualms in doing that and engaging in those type of activities. And the biggest dollar stablecoin issuer, Tether, which just hired Bo Hynes from the White House, they have openly said that they are a close partner of the US government for dollar hegemony globally and have uploaded the FBI, the Secret Service and other aspects of the US government onto its platform directly and have seized tethers from people just because government told them to, and this was during the Biden administration. So they obviously are willing to do that under any administration, and it's essentially functioning as a de facto public private partnership, even though we're being told it's a it's much better than a CBDC, but in terms of its impacts on civil liberties, you know, that's not necessarily true. So, again, vigilance is is important here.

Illegal immigration is a federal crime, not a human right. President Biden is using national parks for the benefit of the 3 million illegal immigrants he released into the country. This bill aims to stop this misuse of public lands. However, the impact goes beyond that. It affects social services, schools, hospitals, homeless shelters, neighborhood safety, national security, and the rule of law. The American people must decide if they want this to continue or if they want a president who will prioritize recovering our nation's lands and sovereignty.

Braxton McCoy - Why is the US Government Selling Millions of Acres of Public Land? | SRS #213
Guests: Braxton McCoy
reSee.it Podcast Summary
In a recent discussion, Shawn Ryan and Braxton McCoy addressed the alarming proposal by certain U.S. politicians to sell between two and three million acres of public land, which is owned by American citizens. This land, originally set aside by Theodore Roosevelt for public enjoyment, was targeted for development into affordable housing. However, due to public outcry and advocacy from various figures, including McCoy, the proposal was removed from a significant bill. Ryan emphasized that this issue has been ongoing for nearly a decade and expressed skepticism that it won't resurface. Ryan criticized the current political landscape, likening Washington, D.C. to an elite brothel where politicians prioritize personal gain over public service. He called for the establishment of a third political party, highlighting the need for accountability and representation of the people's interests. McCoy shared his personal connection to public lands, recounting his upbringing in southern Utah and his military service, which included surviving a suicide bombing in Iraq. He passionately argued against the sale of public lands, asserting that it would harm both the environment and the American public's access to these spaces. The conversation also touched on the historical context of public land ownership in the U.S., tracing it back to wars, treaties, and purchases. McCoy explained that the current push to sell public land is often framed under the guise of addressing housing crises, but he argued that the motivations are more complex and potentially financially driven, benefiting developers and corporations rather than the average citizen. Both Ryan and McCoy expressed concern over the long-term implications of selling public land, including potential environmental degradation and loss of recreational spaces. They highlighted the importance of public lands for hunting, fishing, and recreation, emphasizing that these areas are vital for American heritage and identity. The discussion concluded with a call for vigilance and continued advocacy to protect public lands from privatization and exploitation.
