Why are we, as American taxpayers, funding social programs in Israel that many Americans oppose here at home? Yet, many of us are against universal healthcare and free education in our own country. It doesn't make sense to me that we can fund these things for Israelis but not for our own people. And this doesn't even consider the military assistance we provide, which seems to allow Israel to act without consequences, despite our financial support.
