I have an issue when it comes to targeting our kids and trying to change their gender. I don't care if a 40-year-old person wants to undergo gender reassignment, but I don't want to hear about it, pay for it, or be forced to acknowledge their chosen identity. My name is Chloe Cole, a former transgender child. Growing up, I identified more with boys and struggled with body image issues and trauma. At 13, I began medical transition, including puberty blockers and testosterone, culminating in a double mastectomy at 15. This experience led me to realize the value of my femininity and the desire to be a mother. Detransitioning was challenging, but I found support among others like me. Initially afraid to speak out, I discovered that conservatives welcomed me with compassion. I want to protect children from the harm I experienced and believe Donald Trump will safeguard their innocence and uphold the sanctity of women’s spaces. He values free speech and understands that rights come from a higher power. I care about the future of our children, which is why I am voting for Donald Trump.

My pronouns are they/them, but for this meeting, I'm sharing that I use she/they/him. This often leads to complex discussions about gender, which we don't typically have. I once asked my father, "Do you know what it means to be a man?" He said no. Then, "Do you know what it means to be a woman?" Again, he said no. And that's where I'm at too. My womanhood isn't defined by childbearing or feminine behavior, and my manhood isn't about my genitalia. Understanding gender identity is a key part of being in the LGBTQ community.

The reaction to having two trans kids is often one of shock. Before transitioning, I felt incomplete and was nervous about telling my parents. Being trans means feeling different from the gender assigned at birth. Recently, I started hormone blockers to prevent menstruation and breast development, which can be mentally challenging. People often question if I'm too young to know I'm trans, but I wonder if they are too young to know they're cis. Olivia identified as transgender from age 4 and socially transitioned at 5. Some think younger kids mimic older siblings, which made us hesitant about her transition, but this is who she is. Initially, I felt defensive about Olivia transitioning, thinking it was my experience, but I now see her as a girl, and she always will be.

I believe transgenderism is a mental health condition, but I support open conversation. I met two young women who had regretted their decision to have surgeries as teenagers. I think adults should have the freedom to live as they choose, but we must protect children.

You can be anything you want, regardless of your skin color. How we treat people should be based on their character, not their race. Children naturally see beyond color; they love everyone who is kind and smart. Critical race theory aims to change this innocent perspective, but I want my child to understand that hard work and determination are what matter. She can make friends with anyone, no matter their background. We need to reject CRT because children inherently embrace love and kindness without seeing skin color. We should focus on supporting those who are hurting.

I am a non-binary middle school special education teacher. Only my two paraprofessionals know about my gender identity, as I am not ready to discuss it with parents and administration. Recently, one of my students referred to me as a beautiful king, which brought me immense joy and validation. It made me experience gender euphoria. Have a great day.

I have three young children and my wife shops at Target regularly. I recently discovered that Target was selling bathing suits that were marketed as "thoughtfully made for any type of body," which seemed inappropriate for children. I don't want my kids exposed to that kind of stuff. On another note, my kids love ice cream, but I wouldn't let them eat it for every meal. Similarly, I don't think it's right for children to choose their gender at such a young age. It is crucial to create a safe environment for these children, without leaving room for judicial discretion to deny their gender identity. As someone who has raised black sons in California, I appreciate judicial discretion, but it can sometimes be problematic because judges are human beings. Therefore, it is necessary for every judge in California to understand that affirming TGI children is in their best interest.

I have a trans kid, my seven-year-old son is in the middle of unmedically transitioning. Thankfully, we live in New York, which is very accepting and a sanctuary state for trans kids. However, with Donald Trump and JD Vance gaining influence, I'm worried they'll prevent my child from getting the hormones she needs for her medical transition. My child has been exposed to a progressive learning environment, and the media she consumes emphasizes inclusion and acceptance. This has helped my son, Carl, realize that she's a girl named Carla. Now, I fear Trump and Vance will block her access to the hormones she needs to become the woman she wants to be. This is fascism and a human rights violation.

Gender affirmation varies for each person, but family acceptance and social support are crucial. It's important to recognize that people, regardless of age, are constantly evolving and changing. What affirmation means at one stage of growth may differ significantly from another stage.

Trans people are simply human, deserving of the freedom to be themselves without fear or hatred. When allowed to express our true selves, we can shine brilliantly. An 8 or 10 year old deciding to be transgender should face no discrimination. Many transgender women of color are being murdered, with the number possibly at 17 this year. Every daughter should have the same rights to be who they are.
