October 7th was horrific. After seeing the videos of what Hamas did, I knew I had to do everything I could to put the truth out there. I realized that I am a part of the Jewish people. Though Lebanese by birth, Israel is home to me, more so than Lebanon. The Bibas family and the children really affected me; I couldn't stop crying. I was in the hospital with my daughter, who is now considering naming her baby Ariel in honor of Ariel Bibas. October 7th showed Israel that Jewish people have to bond together and be unbroken because the world won't save us. After the attacks, the world condemned Israel, not Hamas.

Our brave troops in Gaza and throughout Israel are continuing the legacy of Jewish heroes who have fought for our existence for thousands of years. From Joshua Benun to the wars of 1948, the 6 Day War, and the 73 October War, our hero troops are united in their mission to defeat the enemy and ensure our survival. It's essential to stand up for what is right, even if it means risking your life. Living under occupation is worse than death. This violence has deeply affected our family. We all know someone who has been shot, injured, or imprisoned. Recently, our cousin Emjed was murdered after he prayed at the mosque. He was caught during a demonstration, tortured, and shot in the heart at close range. He was only 14 years old.

Speaker 0: October 7 is a day that will forever live in infamy. It was the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah. It began as a perfect day, not a cloud in the sky. Thousands of young Israelis were celebrating at an outdoor music festival. And suddenly, at 06:29AM, as children were still sleeping soundly in their beds in the towns in Kibbutzim next to Gaza, suddenly heaven turned into hell. 3,000 Hamas terrorists stormed into Israel. They butchered 1,200 people from 41 countries, including 39 Americans. Proportionately, compared to our population size, that's like 29 elevens in one day. And these monsters, they rape women, they beheaded men, They burnt babies alive.

People are fighting back against the Israeli soldiers who shoot at them during demonstrations. Despite the fear, it is important to fight for what is right and not live under occupation. Many families have experienced the same tragedy of losing someone to violence or imprisonment. In our family, our 14-year-old cousin Emce was murdered after going to pray in the mosque. He was caught, tortured, and shot in the heart at close range.

Today, I stand here proudly to talk about recent events. In the past 6 days, there have been a series of attacks carried out by brave brothers who are working for the sake of Allah. Their actions have brought pride and victory to the Muslim Ummah. We are ready and patient to face any battle, and we will continue on this path until we die. We understand that the best way to leave this world is with Allah's pleasure. The enemy calls these brave warriors terrorists, but they are fighting for the liberation of the third holiest place.

We remember what Amalek has done to us, as our holy bible says. We are here also demanding life to the Palestinians, demanding to end the starvation, demanding life to the children in Gaza. This is the only way to move forward.

We are determined to resist the colonizer and fight for our homeland. We urge all our people and allies to join us in this struggle. Recent events have only strengthened our belief that we will achieve a liberated Palestine in our lifetime. The settler colony will crumble, and we will reclaim our homes. Palestine will be free from the river to the sea. Free, free Palestine.

While achieving total victory, which is ending the occupation and returning to our homeland, remains our ultimate goal, the recent confrontation with Israel marked a significant stride towards self-determination, freedom, and the right of return. The cost was immense, with over 50,000 registered deaths and thousands still under the rubble, but October 7th proved that Israel is defeatable. The international community's complicity, especially the West, prolonged our suffering. Palestinians seek nothing more than their rights under international law: an independent, sovereign state where they can live in dignity. Resistance is a legitimate tool for those under occupation, as recognized by international law.

Yesterday, there was incredible news as the Palestinian people demonstrated their right to resist. The heroes from Gaza broke down the border fence, emptied settlements, and shook the confidence of the occupiers. The media often portrays this war as starting only 48 hours ago, but we know it began 75 years ago when the British and Americans plotted to create Israel. The Palestinian people have been resisting for over 75 years.

God helped us defend our state after centuries of struggle. Many cities were taken, and Jaffa is nearly empty. Western media supports Israel, but we condemn attacks. Peace is impossible until terrorists are gone. We support Israel in solidarity.

The imperial western powers that have been hurting our people since the beginning, they must fall. And inshallah inshallah, they will fall.' 'My message to the people of Gaza and the oppressed peoples across the world is that there are people here, young and old, who are going to be willing to fight and are willing to put their lives and everything they can on the line to bring these empires down because they must come down.'

Today, three of us went to the Israeli consulate to watch previously unseen footage of the October 7th massacre. The 47-minute video showed deliberate and methodical acts of violence by Hamas, including burning victims and celebrating their deaths. This was a message to Israel, fueling their fears of genocide. While acknowledging the need for violence to stop and the civilian death toll in Gaza, it is difficult to ask Israel to be vulnerable when Hamas does not honor agreements and desires the destruction of Jews. The urgency to avoid further escalation is heightened, but finding a solution is challenging. Aid needs to reach Gaza, but Hamas has a history of diverting and misusing it. Understanding Israel's fears and our own history, the question remains: how do we make it stop?

Many of us have recently joined the fight to free Palestine and it can feel overwhelming. However, I've come to realize that in my efforts to free Palestine, they have actually freed me. They have opened my eyes to the suffering they have endured for 75 years, and now the world is waking up to this injustice. We are realizing the influence that Zionist Israelis have over America and we are saying enough is enough. We see protests and demands for a cease-fire around the world, and it's working. Palestine has freed us, and now it's time for us to free them. I am hopeful that this is what it will take, and despite the high cost, Palestine will be free.
