The war has resulted in devastating casualties for both sides, with countless lives lost. Ukraine is shattered under his leadership. To end this, you must talk to both sides, which hasn't happened. My hope is to see a ceasefire soon and restore stability in Europe.

America's strength lies in diplomacy, which we are pursuing with the current president. Russia occupied parts of Ukraine back in 2014, and despite numerous conversations and ceasefire agreements, they continued attacks. My administration is trying to prevent the destruction of your country. Everyone faces challenges during war, but you need to appreciate the support you're receiving. We've provided substantial financial and military aid. If you had to fight this war on your own, it would have been over in two weeks. Be thankful. Ukraine now seeks to deepen its cooperation with the NATO alliance through a membership action plan. Your nation has made a bold decision, and The United States strongly supports your request. In Bucharest this week, I will continue to make America's position clear. We support MAP for Ukraine and Georgia. Helping Ukraine move toward NATO membership is in the interest of every member in the alliance and will help advance security and freedom in this region and around the world.

I believe we should support Ukraine by providing weapons and training for their pilots. We need to issue an invitation for Ukraine to join NATO in 2024. This support sends a strong message to China and ensures our own military readiness with American-made equipment. The Ukrainian heroes have defended their homeland, serving the free world. Now, we must honor our commitment and provide them with the arms they need to win.

To solve the ongoing conflict, everyone needs to come together and quickly make a deal. It shouldn't be a difficult agreement to reach, and it can be done fast. If someone is unwilling to make a deal, they won't last long or be taken seriously. I believe Russia wants to make a deal. The people of Ukraine, who have suffered the most, certainly want a deal.

I am more encouraged about Ukraine's unity and resolve for 2024 and its strategic importance. I am also confident that Ukraine will have strong success this year, surprising Mr. Putin on the battlefield. Thank you.
