Israel's war on Hamas has caused immense devastation and loss of life in Gaza. The United States, despite international outcry, has bypassed Congress to approve an emergency weapon sale to Israel. Secretary Blinken claims an emergency exists, but it's unclear who Israel needs to defend themselves from. The situation in Gaza is dire, with thousands killed and millions displaced. The Israeli government's actions seem to indicate a desire for their genocide to occur more quickly.

Gaza was previously under Israeli IDF control but was given up in 2005 for peace. However, it has now become a hub for terrorists, particularly Hamas. Despite receiving significant financial aid from the West, no new hospitals or schools have been built in the past five years. On the other hand, over the last two years, more than 30 terror tunnels have been discovered. It is worth noting that Hamas exploits children for their own purposes.

Israel cannot wage wars independently; they are American wars. The region has been manipulated by Britain, France, and the U.S. for a century, since the Versailles Treaty. There will be no peace while outside powers dictate terms. Tragedies in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, South Sudan, and Libya are attributed to the U.S. government and Israel. Peace requires the region determining its own future, free from outside influence. America provides financing, military backup, naval support, intelligence, and munitions to Israel, without which Israel could not fight or commit what is described as a genocide in Gaza. The U.S. is a major actor in the region, not on the fence. The region will lack safety and peace until the U.S. ceases manipulation and war. Empires divide to rule, and the U.S. is not acting on behalf of regional entities.

This is not a war with Hamas, but rather a war of annihilation against Palestinians in Gaza. There are two objectives: to expel Palestinians, which has failed, and if they can't be expelled, to murder them. The bombings are indiscriminate, killing many to target one Hamas figure. This is a ruthless and grotesque crime against humanity. It is causing Israel and the United States, who supports Israel, to face significant international criticism.

The bombing of the Gaza Strip is claimed to be the most destructive bombing campaign in human history, with over 70,000 tons of bombs dropped. The area bombed is a fraction of the size of Sydney and comparable to New York, with the entire strip marked in red to show bomb drops. Due to restricted access, NBC News cannot independently verify the current situation in Gaza. The Israeli military has not provided evidence to support their claim that the rocket was from Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Palestinian rockets are dangerous but typically do not result in such high death tolls.

Israel's bombing campaign in Gaza is backed by the US, allowing Israel to avoid accountability for its human rights abuses. The US has vetoed UN resolutions critical of Israel over 50 times since 1972, including those addressing illegal settlements and war crimes. Financially, the US provides $3.8 billion in military aid annually and even dispatched an aircraft carrier to the Eastern Mediterranean. While the US used to mediate peace talks, recent administrations have escalated support for Israel and ignored the plight of Palestinians. The US defends Israel's actions, even as it kills more people in Gaza than Hamas kills in Israel. This gives Israel a pass on potential war crimes.

What's happening in The Middle East, in particular with Gaza right now, we have some more responsibility for both sides in a way because we provide help and funding for both Arab nations and Israel. And so we definitely have a moral responsibility, and especially now today, the weapons being used to kill so many Palestinians are American weapons, and American funds is essentially are being used for this. But there's a political liability, which I think is something that we fail to look at because too often there's so much blowback from our intervention in areas that we shouldn't be involved in. Hamas, if you look at the history, you'll find out that Hamas was encouraged and really started by Israel because they wanted Hamas to counteract Yasser Arafat. And he said, well, that was better then and served his purpose, but we didn't want Hamas to do this. Then we have election, then Hamas becomes dominant, so we have to kill him.
