The ketogenic diet, originally developed for epilepsy, shifts the brain's fuel from sugar to ketones, activating repair systems, improving mitochondrial function, and reducing inflammation. It's 75% fat from sources like olive oil, avocados, nuts, seeds, and dairy. The speaker claims the diet can reverse diseases from autism to Alzheimer's to schizophrenia to depression. Sugar and starch are the main problem, causing metabolic dysregulation. A 10-day detox, while not fully keto, can yield 80-90% of the benefits. Historically, humans switched to burning fat when hunting was unsuccessful. The ketogenic diet flips the body into an alternative metabolic pathway, helpful for longevity and reversing chronic diseases. Removing ultra-processed foods, liquid sugar, and increasing good fats, protein, fruits, and vegetables can resolve most problems. Extreme cases of diseases like type 2 diabetes may require a stricter keto diet to fix metabolism.

The speaker identifies three drug classes that allegedly prevent healing. First, statins: they inhibit the HMG CoA reductase enzyme, which means you don’t make adequate amounts of CoQ10, heme, dol recall, print a late your proteins, etc., so you don’t make cholesterol. Second, proton pump inhibitors: you cannot deal because you shut down your digestion; you need stomach acid to digest food and to assimilate vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fats. Third, antibiotics: when you frequently take antibiotics, you kill the gut microbiome, and when you kill your gut microbiome, you cannot assimilate your nutrients, leading to leaky gut and intestinal hyperpermeability. The speaker emphasizes not taking antibiotics unless it’s an emergency. In summary, the three drug classes cited as harmful to healing are antibiotics, statin drugs, and proton inhibitors.

Ibuprofen is not harmless. 'Two things that are really bad to you.' 'Number one, it can wreck your kidneys.' 'I met people that have taken too much ibuprofen over the course of three to four days and needed kidney dialysis afterwards.' 'The reason for that is ibuprofen will cause changes in the blood flow to your kidneys.' 'And that chronic congestion in your kidneys will actually cause it to fail.' 'Number two is in your stomach.' 'Chronic ibuprofen use will actually strip your stomach of its protective thin coat layer of mucus and when that happens it can cause GI bleeding, ulcers, and other gastrointestinal issues that are not good.' 'So alternatives that you can take are bromelain, fish oil, arnica.' 'All of these things are anti inflammatory and will help reduce inflammation much better and healthier rather than loading up on ibuprofen.'

There's over 200,000,000 prescriptions written for these drugs every year. They're FDA approved for the treatment of acute gastroesophageal reflux disease. The reason was when people have acid reflux, they get Barrett's esophagus, which leads to erosion and then can eventually lead to gastroesophageal cancer. But the FDA approved these drugs for acute use, maybe at most a couple of weeks treatment, then you wean off of them. There was never any safety data on those drugs for long term use. So these drugs basically shut down stomach acid production. In 2015, it was first reported that people have been on PPIs for three to five years have anywhere from a twenty to forty percent higher incidence of heart attack.

A cardiac surgeon recommends avoiding mouthwash for two reasons: it harms healthy mouth bacteria and can cause high blood pressure. The speaker claims that healthy mouth bacteria are essential for controlling blood pressure and that destroying this bacteria can lead to hypertension, a risk factor for strokes and heart attacks. Instead of mouthwash, the speaker suggests limiting mouth breathing, flossing or using a water pick twice daily, and brushing or scraping the tongue at least twice a day. The speaker emphasizes that using mouthwash is a personal choice and encourages everyone to inform themselves, understand the data, and make good decisions.

Medicine is important for specific treatments, but primary care should emphasize lifestyle changes before prescribing medication. It's easier to prescribe drugs like omeprazole than to advise weight loss and dietary changes, but these medications can cause problems like osteoporosis or C. Diff. Overweight patients often need higher doses of medication, but weight loss should be the first step. Doctors may over-prescribe medication to allow patients to continue unhealthy habits, like eating steak. Instead, people should balance indulgences with healthier choices. Doctors may favor drugs like Ozempic because they offer a quick solution when lifestyle changes seem improbable. Insurance may cover weight loss medication but offer limited support for nutritionists. There should be incentives in the workplace to encourage exercise.

If you experience random acid reflux, consider using baking soda instead of Tums or Rolaids. Baking soda can effectively relieve heartburn, sour stomach, and indigestion. Simply mix half a teaspoon in 4 ounces of water, or a quarter teaspoon in 2 ounces for a quick shot. This method provides immediate relief, often resulting in a satisfying burp that clears discomfort. I've been using this for a while and find it works much better for me than traditional antacids. After just 30 seconds, I already feel great. This simple remedy could really change your life!

Doctor Sessa explains that ibuprofen, despite being available in pharmacies, is not harmless. He emphasizes two major risks from ibuprofen use. First, ibuprofen can damage the kidneys. He describes cases where taking too much ibuprofen over the course of three to four days led to the need for kidney dialysis. The mechanism, he says, is that ibuprofen causes changes in the blood flow to the kidneys, which leads to blood backing up in the kidneys and congestion. This chronic congestion can cause the kidneys to fail. Second, ibuprofen can harm the stomach. Chronic ibuprofen use can strip the stomach of its protective thin coat of mucus, which can result in gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and other GI issues. As alternatives to ibuprofen, Doctor Sessa mentions several anti-inflammatory options that may reduce inflammation more healthily. These alternatives include bromelain, fish oil, and arnica. He presents these as effective options for reducing inflammation without relying on ibuprofen.

I put three autoimmune diseases into remission, not to mention a bunch of other health conditions that I was dealing with, and I want to share how I did that. A little disclaimer: I am not a doctor and I have no medical background whatsoever. I was a desperate person who refused to believe I had to be on medication for the rest of my life or endure this pain forever. I did research, studied, and took matters into my own hands. After a lot of trial and error, two years later I am a completely different person, and I’m going to share what I did. It’s going to feel too good to be true or too simple, but I’m telling you right now that the way you eat changes everything. The best way I can describe it and simplify it for others is that humans need to be eating food in their truest form. I view it as the way God put it on the earth is the way it should be eaten. The more processed it is, the more terrible it is for our bodies. So I eliminated all processed food, and if it is processed, it is very minimally processed. A perfect example: I will eat potato chips, but I have to pick up the bag, look at the label, and if it says potatoes, sea salt, avocado oil as the three ingredients, I will eat those because it is very simple ingredients. I’m not going to pick up a bag of Lay’s. Another example: I am not going to buy bread at the store. Bread at the store or any flour is empty calories, bleached, all the nutrients taken out. Instead, I buy whole wheat berries, mill them myself, and make bread from that because that is bread in its truest form. I believe we should be able to eat dairy and gluten, but it all needs to be in its truest form, and when it is, our bodies can handle it. The reason people are sick and cannot eat certain foods is because of the way they are processed or modified. I think the biggest issue with humans and why we’re all so sick is because we are eating all of the wrong things and not getting enough nutrients in our diets. If you eat whole grains in their truest form, dairy in its truest form, lean protein, fruit, vegetables in their truest form, meaning no pesticides, no glyphosate, organic fruits and vegetables. I don’t think all fruits and vegetables have to be organic—only some are sprayed with pesticides, but it’s called the dirty dozen; look into that. As long as we are eating things in their truest form and avoiding processed junk, processed sugar, soda, fast food, we are giving our bodies what it needs to thrive and to heal itself. Not saying this fixes everything—there may be conditions that can’t be fixed by this—but people could be surprised by how many issues would go away if we ate the way we were meant to. If you want, I can share an example of a day of eating. Just say the word. I hope you have a great night and remember you do not have to be sick. Doctors are not taught nutrition in medical school—they are taught to prescribe medication. A lot of us think we have to be on medication for the rest of our lives to feel good, when in reality we just need to eat differently.

The speaker recommends alkalizing the body quickly as the most common use. They note this should not be done by consuming baking soda daily as a food. If experiencing a gout flare-up or an acid level attack, with inflammation in the digestive system or joints, they advise using half a teaspoon to a teaspoon of baking soda in water. Drinking the solution is described as a very quick way to shift the body back toward a more alkaline state.

What is the number one best anti inflammatory food in the entire world? Can you take a guess? You think it's omega-three fatty acids, fish oils? Not even close. There are so many things that create inflammation. We have gluten, we have refined sugars, seed oils, alcohol, junk food, etcetera, etcetera. But most inflammatory conditions, I'm talking about autoimmune, I'm talking about arthritis type problems, originate in the gut. You can drink all the fish oil you want, it's not gonna do anything. You must change your diet. And the primary food that I'm gonna recommend that can heal the gut, which is the food that has the most glutamine. Glutamine is like a healer of your gut, and the food that has the most glutamine is red meat. Okay? Beef. That is the food that is the best healer for your gut.

"This has about a pH of three." "Hydrochloric acid has a pH of one." "So actually you're lowered in acid, therefore the sphincter, the lower esophageal sphincter staying open allowing the acid to reflux back into your esophagus and may even affect up your throat." "By adding a little bit of this apple cider vinegar, this is going to hold that sphincter tighter, prevent that acid reflux, and you're gonna feel much better."

Step one is to adopt a proper human diet, which is a ketogenic diet, a ketovore diet or a carnivore diet. All three of these dietary options are very un inflammatory and will help your stomach and esophagus heal. Step two is to realize you cannot stop these medications cold turkey. You must wean them down or you'll suffer from severe rebound reflux. After a few weeks of a proper human diet, you're gonna start taking your Prevacid Prilosec Nexium every other day. You're gonna do this for two weeks and then you're gonna start taking it every third day and do that for two weeks. Only then can you stop it completely with no heartburn whatsoever. Check it out.

For years, people have been told to take a baby aspirin every day to prevent a heart attack. That advice is wrong. It's dangerous, and it can be deadly. So unless you've recently had a coronary stent put in, there's no reason to be on aspirin. And even then, it's only for a short period of time. That was a lie that's been fed to us for over fifty years. Daily aspirin doesn't protect you. It doesn't fix your damaged arteries. It doesn't stop inflammation. It just makes you bleed. Stomach bleeds are common. You can wind up dying from that. The largest trials have confirmed this. Trials like Arrive, Asprey, Ascend.

Speaker 0 explains that baking soda can relieve reflux and indigestion more effectively than Tums or Rolaids for some people. He notes that the back of the baking soda box lists uses for heartburn, sour stomach, and indigestion, and shares his personal experience where it provides immediate relief and a noticeable burp that clears the feeling quickly. He mentions that he sometimes uses it when he drinks V8 Energy on an empty stomach, which can trigger a burning sensation. He provides two dosage methods: a traditional recommendation of half a teaspoon in four ounces of water, and his preferred method of a quarter teaspoon in two ounces of water, which he then “shoots.” He describes his mixing technique to make it easy: fill the cup halfway to mix it aggressively, then fill it the rest of the way for a final stir. The resulting drink tastes like salt water, and the relief is rapid, with the feeling lasting around thirty seconds before he says he feels perfectly fine. He concludes by hoping that others didn’t know about this method, suggesting it could change their lives, and signs off.

No.1 Herbal Medicine Expert: This Over The Counter Drug Is Quietly Killing You!
Guests: Simon Mills
reSee.it Podcast Summary
Simon Mills, a pioneering herbal practitioner with more than fifty years in natural medicine, argues that conventional medicines have saved lives but carry long‑term risks and that we overuse antibiotics, fueling resistance. He emphasizes that many people could benefit from plant‑based medicines that act quickly and diversely, sometimes alongside standard care. Mills frames his mission as helping people become stronger by using plants within a scientific framework that complements conventional healthcare. He notes that traditional plant knowledge was displaced by modern pharmaceuticals as urban living reduced practical knowledge of herbs, and he describes how different cultures still rely on plants as medicine, including in Europe, China, and parts of Asia. Mills stresses that the body’s biology is accessible through the gut. He explains that digestion, the microbiome, and the liver connect to virtually all health outcomes, including brain health, immune function, and inflammation. He cautions that inflammation is a natural defense, not the enemy, and that chronic inflammation often has upstream causes in the gut and microbiome. Antibiotics not only wipe out pathogens but also disrupt gut diversity, contributing to resistance and longer healing times. He cites WHO figures and recent prescribing stats to underscore urgency. In practice, Mills sees thousands of patients with chronic conditions, including cancer, autoimmune disease, gut disorders, and hormonal problems. His approach is to fine-tune health by addressing root function—digestion, liver and kidney function, and circulation—rather than merely treating symptoms. He shares case examples: Heather, a 65-year-old with a severe skin condition linked to infections and gut-lung interplay, who improved rapidly after gut and lung support; and Karen, 37, with panic and anxiety whose liver function and sugar cravings were targeted, yielding cycle stabilization and mood benefits. Both illustrate that plant remedies often work through the gut-liver-brain axis. Mills demonstrates practical remedies: ginger and cinnamon teas warm and clear airway congestion; cayenne plasters and mustard baths can relieve joint pain by increasing local blood flow; garlic as a prebiotic with potent antiseptic properties; echinacea for upper respiratory infections; resins like frankincense and myrrh for mucous membranes. He discusses turmeric’s curcumin, its microbiome-mediated effects, and its potential in arthritis and brain health; green tea and rosemary as neurovascular protectors; cacao and dark chocolate as brain and heart supporters. He promotes dietary richness—eating the rainbow, prioritizing color-rich polyphenols, root vegetables, greens, and diverse plant foods—to nourish the microbiome and health. He cautions about long-term uses of acid-suppressants like omeprazole, proposing the raft method with slippery elm or seaweed-based products to protect the gut while wean off acid suppression. He also notes that lifestyle changes and intermittent fasting have context-dependent value. The discussion closes with practical advice on cost-effective, plant-forward eating, and the need for more reliable, evidence-based herbal resources. He also touches on the tastiness and versatility of foods and spices, including ginger, cinnamon, garlic, echinacea, rosemary, green tea, cacao, and matcha, highlighting how these can support heart, brain, gut, and immune health through polyphenols, prebiotics, and microbiome interactions. He emphasizes that there is no one-size-fits-all diet and that plants function as medicines best when personalized to the individual.

PREVENT DISEASE With These Simple IMMUNITY BOOSTING Habits! | Dr. Robynne Chutkan
Guests: Robynne Chutkan
reSee.it Podcast Summary
Stomach acid plays a crucial role in digestion and serves as a defense against viruses. Many individuals take acid-blocking medications, such as proton pump inhibitors, which create an alkaline environment that can increase susceptibility to infections, including COVID-19. A study indicated that those on these medications had a significantly higher risk of testing positive for COVID-19. While some people need these drugs for specific conditions, many can manage symptoms through dietary and lifestyle changes. Viruses, often viewed negatively, can also be beneficial. Our bodies contain more viruses than bacteria, and some viral material is integrated into our genetic code, contributing to health. For instance, certain strains of herpes simplex virus may protect against diseases like HIV. The concept of terrain theory suggests that the health of our microbiome and immune system influences how pathogens affect us. Diet plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy microbiome. High levels of the beneficial bacteria *fecalibacterium prausnitzii* correlate with better health outcomes, especially during viral infections. A diverse diet rich in plant foods enhances gut health and supports immune function. Short-chain fatty acids produced from fiber fermentation are essential for gut integrity and immune regulation. Mucus, often misunderstood, is primarily produced in the gut and helps trap and expel viruses. Maintaining hydration and a healthy diet supports mucus function. Fever is a natural response that can inhibit viral replication, and understanding these bodily responses can empower individuals to take charge of their health. The book "The Anti-Viral Gut" explores these themes, emphasizing the importance of host health in combating viruses and improving overall well-being.
