October 7th showed Israel that Jewish people have to bond together and be unbroken because the world won't save us. After the attacks, the world condemned Israel, not Hamas.

My mom returned from Gaza, where she witnessed kindness and provision from the Muslims there. She is a ray of light in our lives amidst the darkness. However, our hearts are with the 200 hostages still held there. We are relieved to hear that they are being taken care of, although we are unsure if this applies to everyone. Our thoughts are with our friends, brothers, mothers, and sisters who, like us, anxiously await the return of their loved ones.

Many families have experienced the same tragedy of losing someone to violence or imprisonment. In our family, our 14-year-old cousin Emce was murdered after going to pray in the mosque. He was caught, tortured, and shot in the heart at close range.

I grew up in a Jewish family in America, and I have family who were killed by Nazis. When we said "never again," it meant never again for everyone, including the Palestinians. It's disgusting to hear Israel use dehumanizing language and kill civilians. My heart goes out to Palestine. I hope they can be free and live prosperous lives. We, as Jewish people, also stand with Palestine and wish for a free Palestine. It's not about religion, but about a nation being killed by Zionists.
