Today, the World Economic Forum acknowledges the diverse and profound challenges we face. Our world is more interconnected yet divided than ever before. We struggle with sluggish economic growth and inclusiveness in our societies is in doubt. Climate change poses relentless challenges to our environment, while technological innovation brings both opportunities and risks. These transformative challenges lead to uncertainty and pessimism, forcing us into short-term crisis management instead of long-term sustainable solutions. This undermines our collective trust in the future and risks making us more egocentric on a national and individual level. To break this cycle, we need a paradigm shift and must focus on rebuilding trust.

This is the first intercontinental conference of colored peoples, so called colored peoples, in the history of mankind. I am proud that my country is your host. It is a new departure in the history of the world that leaders of Asian and African peoples can meet together in their own countries to discuss and deliberate upon matters of common concern. Success. In spite of diversity that exists among its participants, Let this conference be a great success. Yes, there is diversity among us. Who denies it? Small and great nations are represented here, with people professing almost every religion under the sun: Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Jainism, Shikism, Zoroastrianism, Shintoism, and others. Almost every political faith we encounter here, democracy, monarchism, theocracy with innumerable variants. And practically every economic doctrine has its representative in this hall: marhainism, socialism, capitalism, communism, in all their manifold variations and combinations.

I attended the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2013 and realized that everyone there represented corporations, governments, or NGOs, with no individuals present. Speaker 0 explains that last week, leaders of the world’s seven largest Jewish communities convened in Australia as part of the twenty twenty five J Seven summit. This summit is organized by the ADL as part of the J Seven task force to combat antisemitism, and it brings together a convening of representative bodies of the largest Jewish communities on Earth. Speaker 1 describes the J Seven as comprising the seven largest diaspora communities. They meet every other week via Zoom to share information and best practices, including what has worked for their communities, what hasn’t worked, and what might work elsewhere. They share tips, draft legislation that might work in other countries, or discuss different litigation. A central element has been this consultation, where they can learn from each other, learn the trends that are coming in, learn the techniques that others have used successfully, and what might be coming their way. The point is that “what happened in Montreal could happen in Melbourne, and what happens in New York or London or Paris, will make its way to Buenos Aires.” That is the first emphasis. Second, they speak in one voice, in certain aspects on key advocacy. For example, when they left Australia, their call to action was on the Australian government to move forward the special envoy Jillian Siegel’s plan on antisemitism, which had been stalled for a number of months, to accept it and to implement it. It was significant that the leaders of the seven largest diaspora communities went to Australia to show solidarity publicly with the community, with government leaders, and with the media, and also to make this joint call to action. Finally, they have meetings that are some off the record, some on the record, with world leaders in which they share their community’s concerns and call for action. Thus, the J Seven is described as both a really important body for consultation and learning from each other as well as an effective tool when they can come together and speak in one voice.

Some people believe that the revolution we are experiencing involves a battle between robots and humans, with the expectation that humans will emerge victorious. Professor Klaus Schwab, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), has a controversial background. The WEF, established in 1971, is an international private organization that receives significant funding from its members and hosts an annual gathering in Davos, Switzerland. This event brings together world leaders, industry executives, celebrities, and influencers. The WEF's influence extends beyond the publicized event, with private parties facilitating deals and connections. Schwab has created initiatives like the Global Shapers and Global Young Leaders Program to shape the future and potentially infiltrate cabinets. The WEF's agenda includes promoting vaccination for everyone's safety. Schwab's call for a "great reset" in 2014 aimed to address urgent global issues.
