Yesterday I was on a call at Memorial City Mall about a report of six ICE agents. "That's where we think the real opportunity is to get organized because our enemy is really organized... Every day, they're allocating new money in some sneaky way to ICE agents or to the police." The goal: "a long term movement that fights back against deportations, raids, detention, and all other forms of immigrant immigration related terror." They’re inspired by BC Defensa/Ventura County Defensa, which built a volunteer network of "500 engaged active volunteers" and, "a month ago," had a six‑hour standoff with ICE at Glass House Farms, "prevented a lot of detention and a lot of detainment." They stress rights education and a "volunteer legal observer" approach, plan to recruit via a QR code, and aspire to mimic Ventura County. In Houston, there are about "150" volunteers; they aim for "500" to effect change. Houston LEADS runs a scout program for ICE sightings, with group chats, observers, and lawyers in the group.

The Department of Health and Human Services terminated a contract paying Endeavors $18 million a month to operate an empty migrant family housing facility in Pecos, Texas. After I tagged the US attorney Ed Martin in a post asking him to investigate, he responded saying that he was on it. Endeavors responded to my request for comment by email, stating that they were responsible for maintaining operational readiness at the Pecos Shelter, and ensuring the ability to scale to full use of 3,000 beds as needed. They also stated that decisions regarding facility use and migrant sheltering locations were made by the federal government, not Endeavors, and that any claims of corruption or mismanagement are baseless. I also claim that Endeavors received its HHS contract in 2021 after a former ICE employee and Biden transition team member joined the nonprofit. Endeavors' revenues shot up in 2021.

Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security, is facing impeachment due to his role in the ongoing border crisis. His connection to open borders began before his current position; he served on the board of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), which advocates for open immigration policies. The Biden administration has deep ties to various NGOs that facilitate immigration, including HIAS, which provides resources for immigrants and lobbies for amnesty. HIAS, founded in 1881, has shifted its focus to assist all refugees, receiving significant funding from government grants, including from DHS. Critics argue that these policies contribute to a crisis marked by increased crime and suffering at the border, contradicting the idealistic vision of immigration policy.

The transcript centers on allegations that Naftali Aaron Kranz is a paid protester and that a group called GetFree recruits and deploys paid demonstrators. A journalist questions whether there is someone they can speak to, and the conversation suggests the person of interest is on the other side of a park. The speaker asserts that Naftali Aaron Kranz is “a paid protester through and through,” and that he posts on LinkedIn to hire paid protesters for GetFree, a company advertising itself as a grassroots organization while paying people to protest. GetFree is described as hiring for part-time mobilization support contractors, seeking individuals with four-plus years of experience in leading direct action, large-scale mobilizations, demonstrations, and civil disobedience (which is described as experience getting arrested). Compensation is reportedly 3,500 to 4,200 dollars per month for an average of twenty hours per week. The speaker claims GetFree’s stated mission is to undo white supremacy, despite the assertion that Kranz and others are paid to protest. The narrative highlights Kranz’s participation in protests, including celebrating vandalism, with an example cited of “Crown Heights stay winning” after an egg was thrown at a stranger’s cyber truck and dog feces placed on it. The speaker places Kranz at an abolish-the-police rally, noting he is not leading the protest but blending in with recruits, enabling a later photo op. The claim is that this recruitment tactic blends various leftist causes to inflate the appearance of each individual cause. The speaker also states Kranz works with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and was encountered at a DSA Tax the Rich rally. LinkedIn activity is cited again, with Kranz posting about paid protester roles and recruiting nationwide in Chicago, the Bay Area, and Baltimore to expand turnout at events. When clicking a linked job posting, the contract is described as nine weeks, part-time, paying about 3,400 dollars in stipends issued biweekly, with responsibilities including recruiting and training people to drive turnout. The speaker identifies Nicole Cardi at the top of the Get Free movement and attributes a belief that George Floyd protests were a factor in Biden’s 2020 victory. The transcript connects protest NGOs to political goals, claiming donations to Get Free are funneled through ActBlue, which the Department of Justice is investigating for foreign contributions. It also asserts ActBlue funds activists like Indivisible Twin Cities, which allegedly orchestrates resistance to ICE agents in Minneapolis and has been paid protesters, receiving over 7.6 million dollars from Open Society Foundation, funded by George Soros. The speaker concludes with a personal note to stay away, and the journalist states they have to go.

Are you worried about migrant groups working to obstruct ICE? Federal officials report that activists are increasingly tracking ICE movements and educating migrants on their rights, such as not answering questions or allowing entry without a warrant. Some believe these actions protect criminals and hinder law enforcement. In New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy has housed a migrant at his home, challenging federal authorities to find her. This approach is seen as reckless, with concerns that it endangers people and defies legal processes. If charges arise against the governor for his actions, some believe he deserves them for protecting someone unlawfully present in the country.

The Vera Institute of Justice, a criminal justice reform nonprofit, is expanding its immigration arm. According to Vera's associate director, Santiago Mouquet, they created notification systems to alert illegal immigrants of ICE agents and impending raids, and maintain databases of ICE activity. These databases include information on where ICE keeps, moves, and detains individuals. Critics like Jessica Vaughn and Tom Homan suggest such actions obstruct law enforcement and endanger ICE officers. One individual was arrested for shooting at officers at an ICE detention center. Vera denies illegally tracking or notifying immigrants, but admits to using an ICE database. While Vera denies Jeff Bezos is a donor, MacKenzie Scott donated to the organization. The Gates Foundation provided a $4 million grant in 2023, though Vera claims none of it goes to immigration work. The Trump administration cut Vera's funding, but Vera is suing to reinstate it.

Illegal crossings at the southern border have decreased by 35% since the start of the Trump administration. According to Todd Bensman at the Center for Immigration Studies, the UN and NGOs have used billions of US tax dollars to support illegal southern border crossings. These organizations plan to spend $1.4 billion in 2025 to support 2.3 million foreign nationals traveling to the US through 17 Latin American countries. Bensman says this collaboration between the Biden-Harris State Department, 230 NGOs, and 15 UN agencies has been ongoing for four to five years, using at least $6 billion to aid migrants on their journey to the US border. Religious groups like Haius, Keritas, Lutherans, and Seventh Day Adventists are involved. Bensman urges the Trump administration to cut off funding to these organizations, which operate waystations from South America to northern Mexico.

The subcommittee is addressing efforts to nullify federal immigration laws by "sanctuary cities," which allegedly harbor violent criminals who prey on citizens and immigrant communities. Over the last four years, Democrats purportedly trafficked over 8 million unvetted and illegal migrants, including dangerous criminals and cartels, into the country, ignoring warnings from law enforcement. The speaker claims that President Trump enforced immigration laws, leading to a 96% plunge in illegal crossings and a 99% drop in migrants crossing the Darien Gap. ICE has supposedly arrested over 100,000 illegal migrants, most with criminal records. The speaker calls for the "largest mass repatriation in history." Democrats are accused of obstructing immigration law enforcement, with examples given such as Adam County, Washington, Chicago, and Denver suburbs. Gavin Newsom is said to have approved $50 million for legal defenses against the Trump administration. San Francisco is allegedly leading a lawsuit against the Trump administration to prevent withholding federal funds from sanctuary jurisdictions. President Trump directed law enforcement to ensure sanctuary jurisdictions do not receive federal funds and sued jurisdictions like Illinois and New York. The speaker urges Congress to enact stronger laws to prevent future administrations from reversing these policies.

He noted concern about leaks endangering law enforcement, criminals, and the community. Del Cueto stated that under the current administration, agents are patrolling areas, deterring illegal crossings, unlike under the Biden administration when agents were stuck in processing centers. According to Rick Grinnell, Venezuela has agreed to resume flights to pick up citizens who broke US immigration laws. Tom Holman suggests going to prisons to find more individuals who are in the US illegally. Del Cueto stated that prosecutions are up, and criminals are being detained and removed from the country. Secretary: Today, we are announcing that we have stopped all grant funding that's being abused by NGOs to facilitate illegal immigration into this country. It's amazing to me the hundreds of millions of dollars that have been spent by the federal government that has been sent to NGOs to facilitate this invasion of our country. I have taken action to stop that funding, to reevaluate it, and to make sure that we're actually using taxpayer dollars in a way that strengthens this country and keeps us safe. People are curious how grants given out by federal agencies are utilized, and that evaluation needs to be done. We're not spending another dime to help the destruction of this country. We're going to follow through on what president Trump promised, to secure our border, depart those who are here illegally and committing criminal actions, and ensure taxpayer dollars aren't spent to assist it. Speaker: And, Madam Secretary, I don't think people fully understand the role that NGOs play in facilitating illegal immigration. I want to share these numbers up on the screen: we spend over $380,000,000 in 2024 for sheltering and service programs for illegal immigrants. But the vast network of NGOs that help facilitate it through Panama, through Mexico, and make it a landing spot here in the United States is a massive contributor to illegal immigration. So what you're telling us today is that now stops? At least the federal funding of that stops? Secretary: Yes. The Department of Homeland Security has stopped spending those dollars to fund those NGOs. What’s been revealing is that many of these NGOs actually have infrastructure and operations set up in Mexico on that side of the border, telling illegal immigrants to come to them, and they will get them across the border. So they're not just operating in the United States. They're operating outside of the United States to help make it easier for those who want to break our laws. And while I was one of those Americans years ago when somebody said NGO to me, I thought, oh, that's amazing—a nonprofit telling somebody about Jesus or spreading faith and charitable work, helping people less fortunate. Then I realized over the years it's been perverted into this shadow government. An NGO is sometimes an operation that does things the government cannot do, can't legally do, so they create an entity to use government dollars, taxpayer dollars, to do something that the federal government isn't allowed to do—to perform a shadow government operation that has recently been used to undermine our country's national security.

We are announcing the cessation of federal grant funding to NGOs that facilitate illegal immigration. Hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars have been misused to support this issue, and we are committed to reevaluating these funds to ensure they strengthen our country and enhance safety. Many NGOs operate in Mexico, encouraging illegal immigrants to cross the border. Initially, NGOs were seen as charitable organizations, but they have evolved into entities that sometimes undermine national security by performing actions the government cannot legally undertake. While some NGOs do valuable work, their role in facilitating illegal immigration is concerning.

Arabella operates through groups like the Institute for Responsive Public Government and the Center for Secure and Modern Elections—classic DC groups with names that are hard to argue against.
