I am an Israeli professor of Holocaust studies, and I believe what is happening in Gaza is genocide. The events following October 7th, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,200 people, shocked me. Israel's response led to thousands of civilian deaths in Gaza, and it took time for me to confront this reality. Raphael Lemkin, who coined the term genocide, described it as the deliberate destruction of a group. There is clear intent from Israeli leaders to annihilate Gaza, as evidenced by their rhetoric and actions. The result is mass casualties, destruction of infrastructure, and displacement of the population. We are witnessing the second phase of genocide, where areas are prepared for Israeli settlements. Denial of this reality is widespread, but we must acknowledge it. This is genocide, and silence is not an option.

As a genocide scholar, I believe Israel's actions meet the legal definition of genocide. The destruction in Gaza is beyond comprehension, targeting children and using starvation as a weapon. People must protest, boycott, and sanction Israel. The roots of this conflict date back a century, with recent events escalating into a full-blown genocide. Time is running out to act before Gaza is lost.

I know war, and what’s happening in Palestine is not a war; it’s genocide and ethnic cleansing aimed at taking land from a specific people. This is fundamentally wrong. As an American and a patriot, I feel compelled to speak out against this injustice. The fact that US taxpayers are funding this situation adds to the frustration. We must put an end to this.

We condemn any Zionist aggression against Iran. I thought every Jewish person in the world wanted to bomb Iran. That’s what the media seemed to give us an indication about. It paid for the building of the Knesset. It paid for the building of the supreme court building with all its illuminati symbols all over it. And Rothschild Zionism has been used via Israel to devastate, slaughter, torture an entire nation of human beings while claiming to be against terrorism. This is the dictionary definition of genocide, the systematic and widespread extermination or attempted extermination of an entire national, racial, religious, or ethnic group. Never can what is happening in Palestine and Gaza have been described so accurately. More and more people killed through war, killed through bombing attacks, killed through shootings, killed through lack of food and adequate medical care. Gaza, the most crowded piece of land on earth, is little more ironically than a concentration camp, and the world looks on. And then we got this wall, sorry, security fence, which has taken great tracks of Palestinian land, right all against international law and all the rest of it. This green is Palestinian land in 1946. Then we see what has happened since. This is 2000. We're in 2010 now. It’s much smaller than that. What was I saying? The systematic and widespread extermination or attempted extermination of an entire national racial, religious, or ethnic group. And I say to these Rothschild Zionists, don’t you bloody dare talk about racism of others when you are behind this. It’s an elephant in the bloody living room, and people are terrified of going there because they’re terrified of being called racist and antisemitic and all that. They’ll call you antisemitic. People who have spent time in Palestine say it has made them cry for weeks. The horrors faced by Palestinians are heartbreaking. Israel is denying them basic necessities like food, water, and electricity. Palestinian civilians are being killed, and it seems like no one is paying attention. Supporting Palestinians doesn't require being Muslim, just being human. The ongoing genocide in Palestine is being witnessed on TV, yet no action is being taken.

Palestinian genocide is being disguised as Israel's self-defense, but it's truly about real estate and ethnic cleansing. Similarly, the Iraq war was falsely portrayed as fighting terrorism, when it was primarily driven by oil and money. It's crucial not to be on the wrong side of history. While every country has the right to defend itself, starving and bombing 2,000,000 people is not defense; it's a massacre. Let's spread the truth and support Gaza by donating for humanitarian relief.

These actions constitute war crimes, with an existential threat to international law. We must defend boundaries through arms embargo and sanctions; failure to do so risks the elimination of the Palestinian population.

Elders search for water under the rubble. Families are denied the right to mourn. The world's dehumanizing language and policy of collective punishment and indiscriminate killing by an occupying power cannot be justified. In 2023, how can such brutality and injustice be sustained? Defending a rules-based order loses meaning when the rules change based on the identity of the perpetrators or victims. Unhinged racism considers us less human and devalues Palestinian lives. The worst is yet to come. We urgently call for an end to the massacres and the prevention of further madness in Gaza and Palestine.

As a child of Holocaust survivors, I strongly believe in the principle of "never again." The current situation in Gaza is deeply troubling. It's important to understand that the conflict didn't start with Hamas, but rather with the displacement of 750,000 Palestinians in 1948 to establish the Jewish state. These people were relocated to Gaza, and now they are being targeted for elimination or forced relocation. This must stop. American Jews need to speak out and say that this is not happening in our name or with our tax money. We cannot allow this genocide to continue before our eyes.
