An Airbnb host was offered $10,000 a month by a county and state to house illegal aliens in a rental property. The host is considering the offer, as the property normally rents for $1800-$2500 long-term or makes $5000-$6000 a month on Airbnb. The host questions where the money is coming from and why it's not being used to house citizens. They are curious if other areas are doing this and if it's an investment opportunity. The host replied that they would do it if paid $240,000 for two years upfront, and the county/state is considering it. The host states that even if the house burned down, they would make the value of the house back.

Many people are coming into the country without proper vetting, mostly military-age men from China, Africa, and other places. What's concerning is that these individuals are given a cell phone, a plane ticket to any location in the country, and a $5,000 Visa card upon being processed. This means that while you may be struggling to make ends meet during the Christmas season, the government is providing illegal immigrants with $5,000 gift cards.

A person went to a secret migrant shelter in Massachusetts and was allegedly reported to the police. The speaker claims the shelter spends $100,000 per month on Lyft rides for illegal immigrants. According to the ex-director of the shelter, the shelter has contracts with Uber and Lyft and pays them directly, even for trips to Boston or New Hampshire. The ex-director estimates Uber and Lyft costs totaled $1,200,000 a year. The speaker also claims the shelter charges taxpayers for empty rooms at $180 a night, and also bills for meals in those rooms. The ex-director alleges there is a tremendous amount of waste and/or fraud. The speaker claims to have exposed millions more in fraud and will post another video if they gain 500 followers.

We received a letter from the Home Office with an offer we initially thought was a joke. The amount of money was considerable, about double our usual good year, for full occupancy on a rolling contract for a year. They wanted to house illegal migrants in our hotel, Camelot Castle. However, accepting would have meant laying off most of our staff, a devastating blow to the village where we are a major employer. The plan was to house around 300 people, and we were unsure if they would be allowed to freely roam the village. We were concerned, as other hotels in Newquay have experienced serious problems housing migrants. Our guests spend significant money in the village, supporting the local economy, which would be destroyed. Beyond the economic impact, we also worried about the cultural degradation this would bring.

As a Royal Hotel administrator, I oversaw nearly 5,000 migrants. The hotel provided everything from medical care to cribs, with numerous babies born weekly. However, the situation deteriorated rapidly. Alcohol abuse, underage drinking, sexual activity, and even guns became commonplace in this family hotel. I witnessed a drunk ten-year-old with two other intoxicated children whose parents had left them. Security guards frequently dealt with weapons and threats. Staff faced assaults and threats, needing escorts to their vehicles. Shoplifting escalated into physical altercations. My five years at the hotel have been the worst of my career, and the city’s handling of the migrant situation is alarming and unsustainable.

The US government is using BlackRock to house illegal immigrants in New York, paying homeowners $125 per migrant per day. With BlackRock owning many properties, they could potentially house multiple migrants, earning significant monthly income. This arrangement benefits both BlackRock and the migrants, with the government guaranteeing the payments. The influx of migrants into New York is incentivized by these programs, creating a profitable situation for BlackRock until the census.

The Biden administration has been allocating funds to facilitate and amplify illegal immigration, even redirecting FEMA money intended for Americans to luxury hotels for immigrants. This continued even after an executive order was signed to stop it. The administration created the CBP One app, literally flying people into the country at taxpayer expense, with a $100 million contract awarded to someone in London. The incentive is clear: maximize the number of potential Democrat voters by any means necessary. This is a voter importation scam. They're flying illegals into swing states. With a small, modular victory margin, injecting a large number of new immigrants can change the political landscape. This is a long-term investment that is guaranteed to pay off.

The men staying there would also receive their own money from social services. Food would be extra, potentially bringing the total to €62,000 a month, or about €250,000 a year for accommodation alone. The speaker declined the offer due to community ties. Someone else bought a building for €3,500,000 and could make €10,000,000 a year housing 300 people. The speaker noted the lack of a playground and difficulty accessing doctors in the town, while the housed individuals would have on-site medical care.

The Roosevelt Hotel is still operating despite Mayor Adams' June closure announcement. The hotel, owned by Pakistani and International Air, closed in 2020 but was leased by New York City during the migrant crisis for $575,000 a night, or $200 per room. With 1,025 rooms, the hotel housed over 3,000 migrants, costing New York City taxpayers $4,000,000 a week, or $16,000,000 a month for three and a half years. The speaker claims New York City has spent billions on this crisis and attributes it to open border policies. They state Obama deported over 3,200,000 people, while Donald Trump deported around 175,000. The speaker concludes the crisis is due to open borders and housing migrants in hotels at taxpayer expense.

Whistleblower, owner of a small B&B between London and Bristol, says he was "commandeered by the office of 10 Downing Street to rehearn refugee families." The first refugees reportedly included "no women" or children; "the people that turned up were men from the age of 19 to 30." He says the property can hold about 250; he "currently house a 150 immigrants." He "did receive quite a large sum of money" but was told to "fire all my staff" and that they will "supply security guards for the Britain breakfast." Two weeks ago a "large parcel" arrived; at 02:30 a.m. crates were loaded—"roughly between sixty and seventy really big crates"—whose contents he was not allowed to know. A letter with "names and numbers" identified refugees; a small parcel contained "a series of keys with numbers on them." Crates included "AK 47 machine guns" and "a number of hanging eights," with enough ammunition to wipe out his village. He plans to move the crates to a secure garage, saying, "it's obvious to me now that this is their plan."

They highlighted their capacity to scale up monitoring and detention services for potentially millions of individuals. The GEO Group's leadership discussed plans for enhanced transportation and surveillance programs, including alternatives to detention like the Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP). Despite potential legal protections for some undocumented individuals, the Trump administration's policies could lead to increased deportations, with pressure on local authorities to cooperate with ICE. The private prison industry generally thrives regardless of the administration, and past administrations have also enforced strict deportation measures.

Chairman Perry and members of the caucus, I thank you for inviting me to discuss what I describe as the most historic mass migration crisis ever to strike The United States. What has happened at the Southern border is history-making in scope with long-lasting second, third, and fourth order implications for American citizens. The mass migration that began around inauguration day 2021 calls for a broader public discussion about what it is and how it works. During its first year and now into its second, I interviewed hundreds of immigrants, most recently on an eight-day fact-finding journey to Tapachula, on the Guatemala–Mexico border. From my vantage point, there is one root cause most often cited by the immigrating foreign nationals for coming now: that President Joe Biden opened the American southern border wide to them. They see on social media, from hundreds of thousands who have gone before, secure quick releases and resettlement into America—the ultimate golden chalice—and they decide to gamble large smuggling investments that criminal smuggling gangs will get them in to stay too. With such an enticing return on smuggling investment, no thinking person should wonder why this global migration hit a national record of nearly 2,000,000 border patrol apprehensions in a single year with probably 500,000 more gotaways, an undercount. The caucus should know that nonprofit advocacy groups and, more notably, the United Nations appear to be working alongside the criminal smuggling organizations on the same mission. United Nations agencies such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) are providing hard cash, food, shelter, legal services, and psychological services along the migrant trails, which also materially facilitate journeys that everyone involved knows lead to illegal American border crossings. In various forms, the UN and the nonprofits it funds contribute to the current mass migration crisis. I found a UNHCR stamp booklet discarded on the Rio Grande riverbank on the Mexican side, and I observed handout cash debit cards to migrants in long lines. Workers reported that they give $400 every fifteen days to families of four, renewable every two weeks. The UN tells me only the most vulnerable receive this cash, yet in Reynosa and Tapachula, long lines at UNHCR offices revealed regular family units, many with debit cards, who said they might have to leave the migrant trail and go home without this money. The cards are part of a vast and escalating UN program called cash-based interventions along the migrant trail through Latin America, including unrestricted, unconditionally usable plastic cash cards, cash-filled envelopes in some areas, money transfers for lodging and pharmaceutical prescriptions, and something called movement assistance—transportation money to move forward when camps empty and reform further north. Credible reporting shows the UN is providing these forms of assistance along the trail from South America to Texas. On a Kakuta to Bogota, Colombia segment, the UN was seen handing out food, clothing, and necessities worth an estimated $200 to $300 per migrant per day. Non-cash assistance keeps migrants on the US trail; in Tapachula, Mexican asylum approval is important for permission to move legally beyond the southern provinces toward the US border. But many coming from Guatemala tell Mexican immigration they are seeking US jobs, which is not an eligible asylum claim, so they are denied. I did learn of a UN-funded migrant advocacy center where a full-time staff of certified psychologists helps migrants recover repressed memories of more eligible persecution. This manager said his group also trains migrants on how to pass muster with Mexican asylum interviewers the first time around, producing a 90% success rate for thousands a year. Other UN-funded psychologists offer similar work. If true, the UNHCR in Mexico has found another way to keep thousands more on the trail toward the American border. Some will defend this UN assistance as lifesaving; others will view it differently, and they will want to know more. Americans deserve to know the full extent of it, because the United States is the UN’s largest donor, and the US Congress appropriates a huge amount of money to the UN each year. Thank you. I note that the border is a national security concern. Recently, I reported a Venezuelan crossing the Rio Grande from Matamoros to Brownsville, and the FBI-wanted individual held in ICE headquarters here in Washington, D.C. intervened and demanded he be ordered released because he might get COVID in detention. He is now living freely pursuing an asylum claim in Detroit. Thank you.

Speaker 0 challenges Speaker 1 on leadership and promises, noting that public faith is essential to recover in the polls. They reference Speaker 1’s pledge to “smash the gangs” and point out that small boat crossings and the use of asylum hotels have continued to rise, asking if the mission is succeeding and whether the promise to end asylum hotels by the end of the parliament (2029) will be met. Speaker 1 responds that asylum hotels peaked at 400 and are now about 197, with some of that decline occurring before they came to power. The criticization centers on the previous government failing to process asylum claims, which allowed tens of thousands to arrive without determination. This, Speaker 1 argues, created a growing pool needing accommodation, making the hotel system “absurd.” The only long-term solution, he says, is to process those claims and determine who should stay and who should be removed. He claims they have removed 50,000 since taking office—the largest number in the best part of a decade—and reiterates a commitment to ending asylum hotels by the end of this parliament, though he notes it was not a fulfilled part of the manifesto. Speaker 0 presses again, asking for progress and whether the target will be met this year, emphasizing taxpayer frustration due to the last government’s mess and the tens of thousands in limbo awaiting decisions. Speaker 1 clarifies that there is no fixed date yet; he wants the timeline brought forward and accelerated, but he does not want to set a date until the team is confident it can be met. He asserts that the evidence of progress will appear in coming months, and, as they move into 2026, there will be visible steps toward closing the hotels. He stresses that the only lasting reduction in asylum hotels will come from swift processing of claims, ensuring those without a right to be here are removed, and that the pursuit of this objective must be brought forward, not delayed.

This is done so that federal dollars can flow in.
