Netanyahu said that we will go to war. What he meant was The United States will go to war for us. The rationale seemed to be that military force was the go-to solution. Weeks later, I learned of a plan to "take out seven countries in five years," starting with Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran. I worked with every Israeli prime minister from Yitzhak Shamir forward. It would have been fantastic to own the Twin Towers. After 9/11, I was very lucky that Governor Spitzer helped me collect $4.5 billion in insurance money. There was a decision to pull the building and watch it collapse. Post 9/11, Iraq, Iran, and Libya were racing to develop nuclear weapons. Action was needed, and the first regime was the Taliban. The next step? Military action should happen first against Iraq.

Never can what is happening in Palestine and Gaza have been described so accurately. More and more people killed through war, killed through bombing attacks, killed through shootings, killed through lack of food and adequate medical care. Gaza, the most crowded piece of land on earth, is little more ironically than a concentration camp, and the world looks on. Israel seized the Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights, and the rest of Palestine, creating 300,000 new Palestinian refugees. While the Sinai was returned to Egypt, the other territories remain under Israeli control. Despite the map showing Palestinian territory, it is subject to Israeli military occupation and law. Settlements have further diminished Palestinian land. The ongoing occupation is presented as security, but it is described as continued expansion and conquest.

The IDF allowed the Hamas attack to invade Gaza. Jewish history is filled with war and violence, believing they are chosen by God to kill. Some believe in Jesus' message of salvation for all, not just one group. Success and suffering have alternated for the Jews. The future may bring either victory or worse outcomes. Netanyahu may aim to erase Palestinians, but the consequences could be dire. The situation is complex and unsettling.

Israel wanted peace with the Arabic world since its existence. The PLO was founded in 1964 when the West Bank was in Jordan's hands and Gaza was in Egypt's, not because of occupation, but to eliminate Jews. Palestinians lost Gaza and the West Bank in 1967 because they preempted an attack against Israel. In 2000, Ehud Barak offered 97% of territories back, but it was refused. In 2005, Israel withdrew from Gaza, removing its people and even Jewish remains from cemeteries. Greenhouses exporting $50 million in flowers were left for Palestinians, but they destroyed synagogues and greenhouses. Hamas then had an election. A woman was elected to the cabinet of Hamas because she had videos of her sons dressing as suicide bombers. Hamas put Palestinians in a prison in Gaza. Gaza could have been Singapore, but instead, Hamas built tunnels instead of helping their people. Palestinians brought this on themselves.

One such massacre was at the Arab village of Deryassen, where Jewish fighters killed around 110 Arabs, mostly women, children, and the elderly. The Israeli military at the time consisted of criminal gangs seeking to establish a Zionist state. The atrocities committed, including throwing people into ovens and wells, were part of a strategy to scare neighboring villages and clear the land. Without these massacres and ethnic cleansing, Israel would not exist. The continuing struggles with Palestinians are seen as a result of a strategy that was stopped too early.

My interest in the conflict grew when friends returned from birthright trips and spoke negatively about Palestinians. I took multiple courses in college to gain a well-rounded understanding of Israeli-Palestinian politics, which solidified my pro-Palestine stance. The history of colonization and exploitation by Britain and the US led to the establishment of Israel on Palestinian land. The current leadership, like Benjamin Netanyahu, prioritizes wealth and military power over the well-being of Palestinians. Israel's actions constitute a genocide, slowly eroding the will of the Palestinian people while benefiting the primary stakeholders.

Nations don't go to war easily, sometimes needing to be bombed into it, like Pearl Harbor in World War II and September 11. Removing Saddam's regime would have positive effects, as he used weapons of mass destruction and sought nuclear weapons. A year after September 11, the U.S. had the courage to win. The terrorists attacked and killed 3,000 citizens before the freedom agenda in the Middle East. The main reason for going into Iraq was the belief that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, which turned out to be false, and had nothing to do with 9/11. Some suggest the U.S. sometimes needs a catalyst for war, like Pearl Harbor or the Lusitania. Covert actions against Iran were mentioned, including intensifying pressure. Netanyahu reportedly said the September 11 attacks were good for Israel. Some left the military due to being lied to about weapons of mass destruction and ties to Al Qaeda. Instructions were given to shoot at anything that moved after IED explosions, desensitizing soldiers by dehumanizing Iraqis. There was a total disregard for human life. One individual apologized to an Iraqi man, finding it redemptive.

After JFK's assassination, US aid to Israel tripled. Israel launched surprise attacks in 1967 and 1973, leading to the neoconservative movement's rise. The Likud party's doctrine emerged, advocating for the destruction of Israel's enemies. The US invaded Iraq in 2003, and Libya denuclearized voluntarily, but was still attacked. Israel bombed Syria's nuclear program in 2007. The Arab Spring led to further instability. Iran developed a proxy network to deter Israeli attacks. Post-October 7, Israel aims to eliminate Iranian proxies, potentially leading to total regional hegemony, controlling trade and pivoting the US to the Pacific.

Before Arab armies joined, Israel committed 16 massacres and ethnically cleansed 200,000 people. Israel is oppressing people and has invaded the West Bank. They bombed the USS Liberty in the 1960s, knowing it was a US ship. Israel mistreats Palestinians, calling them subhuman and keeping them in concentration camps. They steal from them and harm their children. Israel's actions may lead to nuclear war. Arab governments are also involved in this sick order, causing chaos to establish a dictatorial regime.

The war in Syria originated not from Bashar Al Assad, but from a decision in Washington in 02/2011 to overthrow Assad, a desire originating from Jerusalem and the Israeli government for over 25 years, with Netanyahu aiming to reshape the Middle East in Israel's image by overthrowing opposing governments. This aligned with the CIA and the U.S. government, leading to Operation Timber Sycamore, a program where the U.S. and regional countries trained rebels, including jihadists, to overthrow the Syrian regime. This resulted in chaos and 600,000 deaths. The CIA's goal in 02/2011 was for a jihad group to take power in Syria after being armed by the U.S. Peace in the region requires real diplomacy, not CIA operations, and an end to Israel's militarization of the Middle East. The Syrian war is one of six wars Israel has promoted, including in Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, and Sudan. In 02/2001, Wesley Clark was shown a Pentagon paper outlining a plan for seven wars in five years. The only war that hasn't occurred is a U.S. war with Iran.
