Punishment for speech is a form of censorship because it creates an atmosphere of fear to speak. Also, being algorithmically shadow banned is another form of censorship. Many accounts with blue checks wonโt engage with non blue check accounts because it negatively affects them in the algorithm. In the same way Chinese social credit score users wonโt associate or engage with those with low social credit scores because it will negatively affect their own score.
X is using an algorithmic social credit score system. The organization badges are a way to enforce collective punishment for groups if one group member says something that is not โallowedโ speech.
