I'm concerned about X's content moderation. I want more open conversation, even with those holding extreme views. Hernando Arce, an investigative journalist, joined me to discuss the San Antonio migrant detention center, which remains operational despite the change in administration. He reports continued illegal immigration, primarily from Eagle Pass, with migrants staying for up to 45 days. The center's funding, estimated at $100-110 million annually, is a major concern. Hernando believes the Trump administration's spending freeze will impact NGOs significantly. He also discussed his recently hacked X account, urging viewers to follow his new account. Hernando's fearless reporting is invaluable; his dedication to exposing the truth is inspiring.
Speaker 0: Afraid he'll challenge anyone, go in anywhere. Had his x account stripped. Had he get a new x account? I love Elon Musk, but we gotta clean up, x even more. I don't wanna see your stupid community notes.
I really don't. Or reader notes. Don't wanna see them. They can put them in the, in the comment section. That's fine, but I don't need some random dude with purple hair and a nose ring wearing his mother's dress for the 1930s, sitting in the basement, writing a reader's note on my, on what I'm posting.
Don't need it. I don't need you to take down Hernando Arce's account and change it. In fact, I don't even want you to take down the insane people that are on x because I want to know who the insane people are. And I believe more conversation is better. It just is better.
So if we have Hernando if you can come on in, Hernando, that'd be great. I don't I I think he's on on in location. Okay. Let's bring him in. Hernando Arce.
Where you at, Hernando?
Speaker 1: Hey. Right now. Hey, JJ. It's great to be back on your show. I'm in Austin, Texas right now.
Speaker 0: What are you doing in Austin? Working. Working? Can you tell us
Speaker 1: who you My day job.
Speaker 0: Yes. Your day oh, your day job. Okay. Alright. Hey.
I have a lot to ask you because you are the guy that's been on the front lines for years now, giving us reports about what's happening in San Antonio at the giant migrant detention center. I hate calling it migrant detention, but the detention center that you nicknamed the American replacement center. Can you give us an update since Donald Trump has come into office? What does it look like there now? Are there still tens of thousands or thousands of illegal aliens?
Speaker 1: Well, to answer your question, JJ, the the American Replacement Center is still open for business. It's still operating under the jurisdiction of Catholic Charities of San Antonio and Family Endeavors. SAPD is still manning the gate, and it is still operating. The amount the amount of illegal aliens are still trickling in as I as I post on my on my ex account.
Speaker 0: How? How's that still going on under this administration?
Speaker 1: Speaking to the illegal aliens, they're telling me that they're the last of the last that we that that that are being processed at the border, mostly Eagle Pass. So, I I interview a couple of family units. I interviewed them, and they told me they were the last and the last to get, sent over from, the border. So, we're hoping that, they close down the central as soon as possible. The mayor of San Antonio has been quiet.
The council members, the sheriff of of Bexar County have not set a peak since the Trump administration took over.
Speaker 0: I'm going I'm gonna have to make some phone calls right after this because this is shocking to me because I'm talking to people in Arizona, Texas as well, and mainly in California, where they're saying that everything has stopped. No one is released. No one can be released. So how in the hell are illegal aliens being released from Eagle Pass and getting to San Antonio? That's unbelievable.
Speaker 1: Well, they have forty five days to stay at the at the center, where in the past, like, a year or two year ago, it was, only seven days to stay. So they can stay there forty forty five days or until the NGOs run out of funding. We know the NGOs, they go through the money like water. So it's just a matter of time before it shut down, in my opinion.
Speaker 0: You've done a lot of exposes on the Catholic Charities American Replacement Center. How much money do you estimate that Catholic Charities in one location in San Antonio has has received? Just give me a a round number that you think.
Speaker 1: Well, it's Catholic Charities and Family Endeavors. Family Endeavors, if you know, are part of the, unaccompanied alien children NGO. So they get mega funding in the billions. How much of that goes towards, excuse me. Alright.
Can you see me?
Speaker 0: Yep. I can. I can see you. Okay.
Speaker 1: Alright. Sorry. How much of that money goes towards the ARC? I don't know. But to answer your question, roughly a hundred to operate this facility, it's somewhere around a hundred hundred and $10,000,000 a year to run this ARC every year.
So that gives you an idea how much money we're looking at.
Speaker 0: Just that that's staggering. And I believe when you saw Donald Trump do that government hiring freeze, government spending freeze, that was more to the NGOs than anything. He's he's going to choke them to death. Meaning, if they don't get federal funding, all these NGOs just die. San Antonio doesn't have a hundred and $10,000,000 to give the Catholic Charities and endeavors.
The people in San Antonio will revolt. A hundred $10,000,000 is a lot of money, and that's just a tip of the iceberg of what the true number is.
Speaker 1: What are you Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 0: Now what are you what's your feeling as because you are the you're an investigative journalist from the cut from the cloth of the old time investigative journalist. What are your feelings of seeing what Donald Trump's done in his first nine days going on his tenth day? Are you feeling or seeing the impact of his decisions where you're at in Texas?
Speaker 1: Well, yes. I am here in San Antonio. I'm two hours from the border. So the, I'm I was happy to see that the active military are gonna be going to the border, the the marines. I thought that was an important part, of the of the plan.
They have been, target rates here in San Antonio as well, targeting Treindor Agua. And so, yeah, we're starting to see the effects not just in in San Antonio and in Texas, but we're seeing the effects now nationwide as everyone else has. So, it's an exciting time to to be a part of this, campaign. And, this is just the beginning, JJ.
Speaker 0: Are you starting to begin to see the, what Todd Benjamin has called the, it's like the the the sympathy porn. The the constant all these poor migrants and and this poor migrant and that poor migrant. Are you and and the activism and and, the protest, are you seeing any of that in Texas?
Speaker 1: Well, we had that in Dallas. There were some, Marxist socialist organizations that were protesting ICE offices. We're we're expecting to see more of that nationwide. So, yeah, between the LGBTQ, the, the radical Islamic jihad, and your crazy leftist, they're all gonna, combine their forces together to create chaos for ICE.
Speaker 0: That is a crazy group of people you just you just stated. I hope I almost hope they all come together because I think they'll kill each other. All of them will just kill each other. The LGBT and the Muslims and and Trinidad and Nicaragua. I mean, dear lord.
Now I wanna jump in I wanna jump into what's is a little more personal for you of having your ex account either stolen, canceled, or silenced. Tell our audience what happened to your social media account.
Speaker 1: And before I talk about that, I wanna let the audience know that the CBP one is still in operation, not for appointments to come in through the border or port of entry, but they are still, using the app to for the court hearing dates with ICE and for the DOJ judges, whether it's three months from now or three years from now. So the app is still functioning. That's very important. I tell my audience that it's it's functioning for the court, judicial system, number one. Number two, my my x accounts of 50,000 followers was hacked two weeks ago.
I don't know what who who did that. The, the profile is still up on x, but I have no access to it, which is why I had to go to my new account now.
Speaker 0: Alright. Well, hold on. Before before we go to your new account, are you telling me the CBP I the CBP one app was down. How are they circumventing that, Hernando, and getting court dates? They're not in America.
So how are they getting court dates? That that makes no sense. How are they circumventing that?
Speaker 1: The the ones that already been process in the interior are still using it.
Speaker 0: Well, they should be the I should be using that and sitting up at the courts and waiting for them to come and then arresting them right there and then deporting
Speaker 1: them. That's gonna be phase two.
Speaker 0: Yeah. I I I believe I believe in Tom Homan. I believe in Rodney Scott, who's gonna be the commissioner of CBP, and I absolutely believe in Donald Trump. They'll get it. Hernando, tell tell my audience where they can find you on x now because I believe the work that you do is I think your the work you do is powerful, and it and it it exposes.
And I and I told before you came on,
Speaker 1: I said, you wanna talk
Speaker 0: to someone that's fearless, that will go in and speak to anyone or any group? This is the man. He's unafraid. So I want my audience to follow you. Can and let's build you back up to 50,000 as fast as we can.
Speaker 1: Oh, thank you. Appreciate that, JJ. You can follow me on Rumble Hernando RC and on my new Twitter account until I get my old one back, hopefully. The t h e, the Hernando RC. Thank you, JJ.
Speaker 0: Alright, Matt. Thank you. Get back to work. You're always welcome back on our show. I love having you.
You're a friend. Thank you very much, Hernando.
Speaker 1: Thank you.
Speaker 0: Alright. Bye bye. Hernando Arce. I know him from I started at the very beginning of this new career, and I saw him and I was like, okay. I I would like to get contact with this guy because he's bold and he's he's boots on the ground.
And he just became a friend. He was in my documentary, invaded. He's just a great just a great American from New York City, left New York City. His family was in moved to Texas. His sister said, you gotta come to to Texas.
It's free. You're not gonna, he, as he says, I go home or when I was leaving New York, I didn't recognize that my neighborhood became infested with illegal aliens and it changed overnight. So this, this man has a very personal feeling and, and belief that drives him just like my belief in being a border patrol agent, seeing what I've seen drives me and my beliefs on the border and immigration. Fernando are say go to the Hernando are say on X And just go ahead and follow him. Just go there and follow him.
I don't he he deserves that. It got ripped from him. I'm sure some left wing nut job hacked in there, said some community bad things with community notes, and it got taken down. So the Fernando Arce, a r c e, edX. Awesome guy.
