I've been reflecting on the current energy crisis and its multifaceted implications. The government's approach, including significant reductions in oil and gas leasing and rising costs, is pushing individuals into debt while causing inflation. The irony of needing gas generators for electric vehicles due to grid overload highlights the contradictions in our energy policies. The situation in Germany and California reveals a broader trend of energy shortages and misguided climate agendas. Meanwhile, the elite seem exempt from the burdens imposed on the general public, raising concerns about equity in energy access.

Up to 75% of emerging diseases originate in animals. Deforestation and habitat destruction create conditions for diseases to spill over from animals to humans. Health, ecological, and climate crises are interconnected. The pandemic has demonstrated what can be achieved by investing in science, such as the rapid development of vaccines. However, vaccine inequity persists, with high-income countries having vaccinated one in four people, compared to one in over 500 in low and middle-income countries. The international community, governments, and vaccine developers must address vaccine inequity.

Speaker 0: Today, up to seventy five percent of all emerging diseases come from animals. And as we are cutting down forests and destroying habitats, we are creating the ideal conditions for diseases to spill over from one animal to another and then to us. And we can no longer separate the health crisis from the ecological crisis, and we cannot separate separate the ecological crisis from the climate crisis. It's all interlinked in many ways. And during this pandemic, we have seen what we can achieve when we put resources into science. Vaccines were developed in record time. But so far, on average, one in four people in high income countries have received a coronavirus vaccine compared with just one in over five hundred in low and middle income countries. And the international community, governments, and vaccine developers must step up their game and address the tragedy that is vaccine inequity.

Physicist Brian Catt says people "do not need to panic" over man made climate change. "What is happening now is almost totally normal." @ticerichard | @catandman

Video Transcript AI Summary
People shouldn't panic about global warming because current changes are normal based on Earth's natural history. Over the last 10,000 years, temperatures have fluctuated by about one degree at the Equator and two degrees at the poles every thousand years. The current rate of rise is about one degree per century, which is not unusual. The IPCC's models are flawed because they assume no natural change. The greenhouse effect is small compared to other atmospheric factors like solar radiation and gravity, with oceans and clouds primarily controlling climate stability. The pre-industrialization period used as a baseline by the IPCC was the lowest point in the last ten thousand years. It is currently one degree above that low but two degrees cooler than the warmest period in the last eight to ten thousand years. During the last interglacial period, it was six degrees warmer, and hippos and elephants lived in England.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: I think we we look. We all accept we're in a period of global warming, but a lot of people are are panicking, aren't they? Yes. Are they right to panic? Speaker 1: No. They they should relax, basically, simply because if they were to go and look at the natural history of the Earth, which has all been unraveled since these climate myths were created by the UN, they'd find that actually what is happening now is almost totally normal. And the Earth, on the short term forget ice ages. It's confer that's a confusing thing. But for the last ten thousand years, which is a short warm period within an ice age cycle, it goes up and down about a degree at the Equator, two degrees at the poles about every thousand years, and it's perfectly normal. And the rates of rise now before people starts obviously, people might phone in with this one. The rate of rise is not unusual either. It's about one degree in a century, and it goes up and down while it's it can go up and down a degree while it's doing that. Yes. And that's a global average over thirty years. It's not the weather. So so we've got Speaker 0: on one side, we've got the intergovernmental panel on climate change. We've got thousands of supposed experts Yeah. All stuffing stuff stuff into their models. Why are they wrong? Speaker 1: Well, because their presumptions that they feed into their models are wrong. And I think we talked briefly about this. It's called GAIGO, garbage in, garbage out. Speaker 0: That's the point. Speaker 1: And one of the assumptions they put in is there's no natural change. So if the change that they assign to carbon dioxide is actually natural, there is no anomalous diff what's the word I want? Additional change to be observed. So it's not actually happening, and there's a very good reason why that could be so. Stop me if it you. The which is that it's a very small effect, the greenhouse effect. Within the overall parameters of the atmosphere, there are much bigger things at work, like the sun shining on it and the gravity pulling the atmosphere onto the ground, which basically sets what the temperature gradient all this sort of stuff. But the control is from the oceans. The clouds control. The clouds are the control of Earth's climate stability. Speaker 0: So so in a sense, you think that people are panicking unnecessarily, and we've been warming now for the last sort of hundred and fifty years or so, give or take, since about 1850. There's something interesting about that that period, isn't it? Tell tell us about that because it why did they choose that point? Speaker 1: Well, oh, that's because it's the lowest point. We are at one degree above the coldest it's been in the last ten thousand years, which Speaker 0: Just let's just repeat that. I mean, that's remarkable. Speaker 1: And the other remarkable thing is it's two degrees cooler than the warmest it's been in the last eight, ten thousand years, which is the Egyptian and the Minoan period. So this Speaker 0: is really important, folks, because this is data and that, essentially, the IPCC, they always talk about that we are one degree higher than than the pre industrialization period than a hundred and fifty years ago. But what you're saying, Brian, is that was the lowest point in the last ten thousand years. Correct. So so in a sense, that's why we shouldn't be panicking and that it's been much warmer in in two or three previous periods. Speaker 1: Yes. And in the last interglacial, which was a 130,000 years ago, when the country is much pretty much where it is now, about fifty degrees north from the equator, there were hippopotami and elephants on the banks of the River Thames. That that Speaker 0: would be quite a sight now, wouldn't it? Speaker 1: It would. And and it's well known. This is natural history. And it's it was six degrees warmer than it is now. And there were humans wandering around the place, presumably hunter gathering happily. We're a tropical species. Speaker 0: So

President Biden is in Colorado announcing new bans on drilling and mining on 225,000 acres and designating Camp Hale a monument. The president believes he has done enough to help Democrats in the midterms. Biden claims that if Republicans get rid of the Inflation Reduction Act, drug prices and medical costs will rise, and tax credits for weatherizing homes will disappear. The president plans to focus on the bipartisan infrastructure law, the Inflation Reduction Act, and clean energy jobs during this trip. His decision on whether to run for reelection will be made after the midterms. Biden stated that he does not think Americans need to prepare for a recession, but if there is one, it would be slight.

Speaker 0: Shannon Bream and Fox Business anchor David Asman both here to analyze what's going on in the race with twenty seven days to go. But let's make a stop with White House correspondent Peter Ducey, who is with the president in Cape Hale, Colorado. What's the focus there today, Peter? Speaker 1: Good afternoon, Martha. President Biden is not giving in to calls from critics to drill more here in The United States as gas prices go up and up. In fact, he is doing the opposite. Today in Colorado, he's going to announce new bans on drilling and mining on about 225,000 acres here, and he's also gonna designate Camp Hale a monument to the tenth Mountain Division that trained here for World War two. We are also now hearing that president Biden thinks he's already done enough throughout the course of his term to help Democrats in these midterms. Speaker 2: The thing they said they're gonna do is get rid of the inflation reduction act. And so what's that do? They're gonna raise drug prices, raise medical costs again, be sure that we're gonna no longer be able to have the ability to have tax credits for weatherizing your homes Speaker 1: Right. Speaker 2: Money. I mean, I don't know what they're for. Speaker 1: We've been told not to expect much emphasis from the president this trip on crime or immigration. Instead, we are told the president wants to talk about the bipartisan infrastructure law, the inflation reduction act, and clean energy jobs. And it sounds like these midterms will weigh heavily on the president's decision to run for reelection. Speaker 2: Well, look, I'm not gonna make this about my decision. I'm gonna make this about this off year election. After that's done in November, then I'm gonna be in the process of deciding. Speaker 1: President Biden is also saying he does not think Americans need to be preparing for a recession, but that if there is one, it would just be a slight recession. Martha? Speaker 0: Peter, thank you very much and beautiful.

Europe's energy crisis stems from allowing a 16-year-old girl to dictate energy policy, shaming the continent away from nuclear energy and hindering energy independence. This placed Europe in a fragile position, now worsened by the lack of Russian energy. The speaker claims that both a 16-year-old girl "who knew nothing" and a president whose language turned people off contributed to the crisis. The speaker asserts that Trump was right about German and European reliance on Russian gas, despite the German delegation "snickering" at his warnings. The speaker suggests that the eagerness to judge Trump's delivery led to embracing a 16-year-old with no scientific or technological background to dictate energy policy. The speaker reminds the audience that she was nominated for a Nobel Prize.

Speaker 0: Reasons that Europe are in an energy crisis really should be discussed honestly. So number one, an entire continent essentially allowed a 16 year old girl to dictate their energy policy. And when Greta Thunberg was able to shame an entire continent into basically walking away from nuclear and not really evaluating how you can actually have energy independence. What they did was they put Europe in an incredibly fragile position. And at the beginning of this war, it wasn't clear how much damage the lack of Russian energy would do to the European economy, but now it's absolutely clear. How did they not see that, Jamal? We set it on the We set it on the pod in February. How did they not I mean, Trump said it years ago. I mean The thing we said How is it not obvious? The problem is you had these look. To be honest, you had these two goofballs. You had a goofball on the left, which was a 16 year old girl who knew nothing, and you had a goofball on the right, which is a president whose language turned people off even though the message that he was delivering was a 100% right. When when Trump went to the United Nations, he was clear, he was precise, and in hindsight and I'm saying this as a democrat, he was right Oh. About Obviously right. Yeah. German reliance on Russian gas and and the European reliance on gas. What did they think would happen? The important thing was was the reaction. Remember the German delegation snickering while he was walking? They were laughing. But but we're we're we're but we're missing the real lesson. The real lesson is that in all of our haste to basically overtly judge Trump because of his delivery and his, you know, his personal style or whatever, we ran towards a 16 year old person who has no rooting in science or technology to dictate the energy policy of an entire continent. I mean, the she was nominated for a Nobel Prize. Just to remind you guys, this is how insane all of these people were.

The WBCSD includes companies like 3M, Apple, Bloomberg, BMW, Chevron, BP, Dow, DuPont, Google, IBM, IKEA, Kellogg's, Nestle, and Procter and Gamble. The report claims that in the near future, the world may need to resort to lockdowns again to tackle a climate emergency. Under a climate lockdown, governments would limit private vehicle use, ban the consumption of red meat, and impose extreme energy saving measures. Fossil fuel companies would have to stop drilling. To avoid this scenario, the report says we have to overhaul economics and change capitalism.

The four horsemen – famine, disease, war, and death – often appear together, with hunger leading to opportunistic diseases, chaos, and war. While the West worries about food and heating, the speaker questions the "feed the world" mentality. Al Gore's predictions from "An Inconvenient Truth" have not materialized, yet he lives lavishly. The speaker notes that while Gore predicted the ice caps would be gone, they've grown, and polar bear numbers have risen despite his warning they would drown. Gore bought a $9,000,000 villa on the coast of California, despite saying Manhattan would be underwater. The green agenda requires extensive mining of metals and minerals, dependent on fossil fuels. The International Energy Agency predicts fossil fuels won't be set aside until 2207 at the earliest. The Biden administration predicts CO2 eradication cannot occur before 2242, even if all governments keep their promises. The speaker believes people today deserve a better life and shouldn't be sacrificed for a fantasy built on lies.

Speaker 0: The four horsemen of the apocalypse are usually pictured together and for a reason. Where there's a famine, there will soon be disease and then war and always always death. During times of hunger, most of the dying is caused by the opportunistic diseases lying in wait. Chaos soon reigns and war is invariably the consequence as factions fight to seize or to maintain control. The shadow of the four will loom yet again over hundreds of millions of the world's poorest and most desperate people. And in the West, shivering in our homes, wondering for the time in generations what sort of food we will have to eat, how we will heat our homes, won't be throwing our arms around anyone except ourselves for warmth, feed the world, I don't think so. Another ghost from the past is worth a look now. In 02/2006, Al Gore launched his film An Inconvenient Truth about the imminent end of civilization due to man made global warming. The real inconvenient truth is that Gore's predictions from a movie that netted $50,000,000 at the box office have not come to pass. The Prophet of Doom now worth $300,000,000 who said, we could all help save the world by changing our lifestyles has a $2,500,000 home in Nashville with an annual energy bill of $30,000. It's worth wondering how often he sits inside and notes that while he said the ice caps would be gone by now, they've grown in size or how often he remembers that while he said the polar bears would drown, the numbers have risen steadily for the last fifteen years. The man who said Manhattan would be underwater on account of rising sea levels just bought a $9,000,000 villa on the coast of California. Always remember this, the green agenda for being sold is absolutely not green requiring as it does the unprecedented mining of hitherto unimagined amounts of base and rare earth metals, also rare minerals, all of that effort dependent upon fossil fuels, the never ending rate of the world we're supposed to be saving. The International Energy Agency predicts it will be twenty two point zero seven at the earliest before fossil fuels are set aside. In The US, the Biden administration predicts that even if all governments keep their promises, CO2 eradication cannot occur before 2242 more than two hundred years from now. There's food aplenty in this world, there's energy aplenty, but we are to be denied both by yet more of those corrupt politicians. Here's the thing, it's the people alive today here at home and around the world, the poorest included who deserve life, a better life, they deserve a future that we could give them now. Who with a human heart would sacrifice today's living for nothing more than a fantasy spun from lies? Not me.

The WBCSD published a report in October 2020 called "Avoiding a Climate Lockdown." The WBCSD includes companies like 3M, Apple, Bloomberg, BMW, Chevron, BP, Dow, DuPont, Google, IBM, IKEA, Kellogg's, Nestle, and Procter and Gamble.

Not me.

I've been reflecting on the idea that the USA is not a sovereign nation. Various posts highlight concerns about foreign influence, particularly from Israel, on U.S. policies and laws. Examples include the involvement of Israeli officials in U.S. negotiations and the lobbying efforts that shape state laws, especially those targeting the BDS movement. There's a sense that these dynamics undermine American autonomy and credibility on the global stage. The ongoing debate about the implications of such influences raises questions about the true nature of U.S. sovereignty.

Israeli media are framing the presence of Mossad’s chief and Israel’s Minister for Strategic Affairs in Rome - coinciding with the Iran-U.S. negotiations - as a calculated show of influence. The timing and coverage are designed to suggest that Israeli officials hold a central role in directing the Trump administration’s approach to the talks. The question is how this display will be perceived by Iran and by the broader international community: It certainly does not project American strength. It does not convey strategic independence. It casts doubt on the autonomy of the U.S. negotiating team and its capacity to pursue a policy grounded in good faith and mutual interest. @realDonaldTrump and @SteveWitkoff would do well to consider whether allowing Israeli interference serves American interests—or whether it undermines the credibility of their own negotiator by making him appear as Netanyahu’s proxy?

Israel's influence on US state laws, particularly anti-boycott legislation targeting the BDS movement, appears unique. Twenty-seven states have adopted such laws, promoted by Israeli lobbying, a scale unmatched by other countries. While nations like Ukraine and Egypt lobby federally for aid or trade, no evidence shows them shaping state laws similarly. The US-Israel alliance, with over $130 billion in aid since 1948, likely enables this. However, these laws face legal challenges, with some courts ruling them unconstitutional for violating free speech, while others uphold them as anti-discrimination measures. The debate continues, but no other country seems to replicate this state-level influence.
