BREAKING: Three students in the Columbia University Palestine solidarity encampment have been suspended. Their IDs have already been deactivated. https://t.co/t8uoD7yjom

Video Transcript AI Summary
We received emails from Barnard saying we are interim suspended. They warned us to disperse or IDs would be deactivated by 9 PM. IDs worked this morning, but now they're deactivated. We thought they were bluffing. We're staying, even if expelled or jailed. This area is for protests, but we didn't book the zone. Bureaucracy. Wow.

A few Barnard ministers came in and warned everybody, saying that if we didn't disperse, disperse, they would what what was it? That we would be interim Deactivate our they would deactivate our IDs by 9 PM, which didn't happen. I was able to use my ID this morning, but I guess it kicked in just now. Yeah. I guess they, Speaker 0: they decided to go through with it. Speaker 2: But I thought they were bluffing, actually. Because this morning when my ID worked, I was like, okay. Speaker 1: But you guys are still staying. Speaker 0: Oh, no. We're gonna stay. Yeah. We're staying. Speaker 2: Bro, they can They can expel me and I'll stay. MUST WATCH Former NATO chief & current Zelensky advisor Rasmussen says NATO members should - be prepared to "take action" with ground troops in Ukraine - go beyond promising NATO membership - “figure out exactly how could Article 5 cover a country that is maybe still at war” 😮 https://t.co/1vYhNPOVku

We need to continue joint training and exercises under EU and NATO flags in Ukraine. The ultimate security guarantee would be Ukraine joining NATO. Softening support for Ukraine globally is concerning, so we must end the conflict quickly by providing necessary weapons. The Kyiv Security Pact is modeled after the US-Israel security arrangement. NATO should outline a roadmap for Ukrainian membership and provide security guarantees until then. A strong Ukraine is crucial for European stability and addressing global challenges like China.

Speaker 0: We should sustain joint training and exercises, under EU flag and NATO flag, also on Ukrainian side. We're speaking about 1,000,000,000 of dollars or euros, but we're already doing that. I mean, this is a codification of what we're already doing. Speaker 1: But extending the timeline Yes. For a very long period. Speaker 0: Yes. But we're already stating that we are in this for as long as it takes. Ultimately, the only, security guarantee I would I would say the ultimate security guarantee would be for Ukraine to join NATO and be covered by article 5. Speaker 1: And polling has shown that in some parts of the world, notably the US and Europe, support for you can Ukraine's cause has been softening just a little bit. Does this concern you as you look to try and get these massive commitments of dollars? Speaker 0: It is a matter of concern, obviously, and an argument why we should put a quick end to this conflict. And the way we can put a quick end to the conflict is to deliver all the weapons the Ukrainians need. As I said, longer range missiles, heavy battle tanks, fighter jets. Speaker 1: I have read references to the US, guarantees that it gives Israel for its security. Is that very much like what we're talking about here with Keith? Speaker 0: Yes. It is. Obviously, there are differences between Ukraine and and Israel. But, basically, we have modeled, the Kyiv Security Pact, over, the security arrangement between the US and Israel. We should not just repeat the language we decided already back in 2008, that Ukraine will become a member of NATO. We decided that back in 2008. It's it isn't sufficient just to repeat that. We should do something more. And I think, NATO should decide to say, okay, we outline a road map towards Ukrainian membership of NATO. Step 2, in the run up to the NATO summit in Vilnius, some countries led by the US should sign a document giving security guarantees to Ukraine until Ukraine can join NATO. We'll need some time to figure out exactly how could article 5 cover a country that is maybe still at war. Speaker 1: How do you think Russians go Russia is going to react to this? I don't care. So just to sum up here, tell us why it's so important in your view to formalize this in this security compact. Speaker 0: The Security Compact is important to, so to call so to speak, fix the Russia problem. We need a strong and stable Ukraine to ensure more permanent peace and stability on European continent. And by that, we will free up resources to address the real long term global channels namely China.
