I read: Trump says Congress is antisemitic and isn’t serving the Jewish lobby; a referenced claim has him saying Iran’s leaders are ‘gone’ and its navy, air force, and communications wiped out, and they almost won. How can someone lie so much?

As president of The United States, I will always support Jewish Americans and I was always I will always be a friend and a champion to the Jewish people. I have been and I will say, you know, if you go back ten, twelve, fifteen years ago at the most, the strongest lobby in Washington was the Jewish lobby. It was Israel. That's no longer true. You have to be very careful. You have a congress in particular, which is becoming anti Semitic. You have AOC plus three. You have those people. Ilhan Omar, she hates Jewish people. And you have to be very careful because there's been a big change. You know, if you go back fifteen years ago, I'm not Jewish, but my father was very friendly with many, many Jewish people. He was honored by federation. I would go with him to federation of Jewish philanthropies and many other things. And, we grew up respecting and loving Jewish people. You know, you don't even think about it, in Brooklyn, in Queens mostly. And my father didn't go to Manhattan. He never went to Manhattan from the standpoint. He could never understand how in Brooklyn you could buy a piece of land for $3 a foot and how in Manhattan you had to pay a thousand dollars a foot. He said, I can't get that. I don't like it. I like to buy it for 3. So it was different. It's a different thinking. In a way, I'm glad he didn't do that because he let me have some of that fun. And it was I had a lot of fun in Manhattan. We did great. But my father would tell me the most powerful lobby that there is in this country is the Jewish lobby. It's the Israeli lobby. It's not that way anymore. You have a lot of people in your way. You have a lot of people that, don't wanna help Israel. You have a lot of people in congress that don't like Israel. You have a lot of people in congress that, in a way, I think, Mike, we could say it. Right? You're there. You're doing an amazing job, Mike Lawlor. You they hate they hate Israel. They hate Israel. And if you would have told me fifteen years ago that that was possible, Jason, I would have said there's no way. There's no way that's possible. But it's happening. And, obviously, it's getting progressively worse. Less so in the Senate, but the Senate's starting also. You get glimmers, you know, when I'm in the back rooms talking to people. You get glimmers of statements that you say, woah, where did that come from? So we have to be, Sid, we have to be very careful because it's bad things are happening. And then you see what goes on in Australia or October 7. How about October 7? And then you have people that deny it ever happened. How about the people that deny like, they deny the Holocaust, but, you know, you figure, well, that's just many years. Well, October 7 is not many years at all. ❌𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 ➜ Robert Kraft turned Patriots stadium into a spy center for Israel. His Blue Square crew watches and store every post online against Jews. They claim is for “safety” https://t.co/vJtt0Jmn1E

Video Transcript AI Summary
Inside the Patriot Stadium, a command center tracks hate speech online, showing where it’s coming from, the time of day, and how it’s trending, especially among younger people. It’s noted that heat and antisemitism are growing across the country and disproportionately on college campuses and in high schools. In response, Kraft partnered with the United Negro College Fund and Hillel International to host unity dinners across the country. Baruch College students Aidan Hirslinger and Akish El are among the more than 450 students who’ve attended at least one of the dinners. They describe the dinners as about finding commonalities between the Black and Jewish communities. “The dinners are about finding commonalities between the black community and the Jewish community. So we really talk about anything and everything. It’s not just about politics and opinions. It’s about treating each other as humans. We mainly talked about our families, why we have communities, and how our communities are similar, more than different.” When asked why Jewish students with Black students, the response highlights a historical connection: “Because, historically, we had that connection. It’s a connection that’s gotten a lot done, and I think we can continue to get a lot done if we come together.” The segment notes a historical parallel: in June 1964, three college students fighting for civil rights in Mississippi—James Cheney (Black), Andrew Goodman (Jewish), and Michael Schwerner (Jewish)—were murdered by the Ku Klux Klan with law enforcement. The host emphasizes that those bonds have been challenged by current conflict, including a war in which more than 1,200 people have been killed in Israel and over 70,000 in Gaza. Despite divisions, the message conveyed by Kraft and the organizers is that people should not tolerate hate for anyone—whether Jewish, Black, Latino, or Asian—and that individuals should stand up to ignorance and hate. Speaker commentary notes that using the Super Bowl—a platform watched by millions—to share this message is meaningful. The FBI is cited as reporting that antisemitism is currently one of the greatest threats to the country and its democracy.

Speaker 0: Inside the Patriot Stadium, a command center of stats tracking hate speech online. It shows where it's coming from, the time of day, and how it's trending, especially among younger people. Speaker 1: We saw that not only is heat and antisemitism growing across the country, it's disproportionately growing in college campuses and in high schools. Speaker 0: Which is part of the reason Kraft says he partnered with the United Negro College Fund and the Jewish organization Hillel International to host unity dinners throughout the country. So let's get to it. Baruch College students Aidan Hirslinger and Akish El are among the more than 450 students who've attended at least one of the dinners. What do you talk about at these dinners? Speaker 2: The dinners are about finding commonalities commonalities between the black community and the Jewish community. So we really talk about anything and everything. It's not just about politics and opinions. It's about treating each other as humans. We mainly talked about our families, why we have communities, and how our communities are similar, more than different. Speaker 0: Why Jewish students with black students? Speaker 2: Because, historically, we had that connection. It's a connection that's gotten a lot done, and I think we can continue to get a lot done if we come together. Speaker 0: And when you heard those students talk about the history of blacks and Jews working together, consider this. In June 1964, three college students fighting for civil rights in Mississippi were murdered by the Ku Klux Klan with law enforcement. Those activists were James Cheney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner. Cheney, a black man, Goodman and Schwerner, Jewish. Right now, we know those bonds have been challenged by a war in which more than 1,200 people have been killed in Israel and over seventy thousand in Gaza. But you guys, overwhelmingly, his message he's saying is we shouldn't tolerate it for anyone. You know, whether you're Jewish, whether you're black, whether you're Latino, whether you're Asian, it shouldn't matter. People should be standing up to ignorance and hate. Speaker 3: Right. And I I love that he's using the Super Bowl, which is one of the biggest platforms in the world to share that message. Speaker 0: Millions of people watch. Speaker 3: The FBI has, as we all know, reported that antisemitism right now is one of the greatest threats in our country and our democracy at this very moment.

❌ 𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗞’𝗦 𝟵/𝟭𝟭 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗬 Every day, driver took Lutnick’s kids to school. Except that morning. Lutnick himself dropped his son at kindergarten. Survived the hit. https://t.co/jo9qnW5dKx

Video Transcript AI Summary
Harold Lutnick, head of Cantor Fitzgerald, describes how he viewed business and life differently after the terrorist attack that struck while he was away on his son’s first day of kindergarten. He spoke with business correspondent Terry Keenan about the impact on his firm and the families impacted. Lutnick explains that Cantor Fitzgerald is focused on ensuring the 700 families who lost a member are cared for. He says he spent the day talking with their insurance company, CNA, which told their people that they would treat the deaths as accidental, and would double the policy for all of the victims upstairs and for everyone connected to the firm. This added $35,000,000 to the group upstairs. He notes, however, that while $35,000,000 sounds like a lot, dividing it by 700 people yields only about $50,000 per family, which he says is not enough and underscores the need to work on their foundation. Lutnick mentions that Cantor Fitzgerald has established the Cantor Fitzgerald Foundation to raise money for the victims and to ease their lives. He says the foundation will go to take care of and try to help the victims of the tragedy, with aims such as paying for health insurance long-term, providing additional financial support when possible, and making lives easier in various ways. He emphasizes that the foundation is intended to help the victims and their families, and he invites donations from anyone who can contribute. When asked about the needs of the young families, Lutnick details the demographics: the average employee is around 33 years old, most are newly married, with about a dozen women pregnant with babies who just lost their husbands. He notes there are more than a thousand, possibly 1,500, children who have now lost a parent and the breadwinner. He reiterates the commitment to raising money for the foundation to support these families and relieve some burdens related to health insurance and living expenses. Lutnick reflects on how he felt during the events: he did not arrive early enough to be inside the building, stood outside at the door helping people evacuate, and tried to locate higher-floor survivors. He describes standing under the building as the second collapse occurred, feeling incredibly lucky to be alive, and expresses gratitude for that survival. He says he feels a responsibility to do his best for the 700 families and that his brother and sister are part of his family who were lost. He acknowledges his own survival, saying he is thankful, and emphasizes that he must work to support the group and that Cantor Fitzgerald’s traders, as well as his colleagues at East Speed and TradeSmart, are doing their best to support the victims. He closes by calling his employees heroes, along with the victims’ families, and repeating that he is one of them.

Speaker 0: Center. The head of Cantor Fitzgerald, Harold Lutnick, just happened to be out of the office that day that the terrorist struck. Mr. Lutnick was taking his son to his first day of kindergarten. Now he says he has a very different view of business and life. He spoke to our business correspondent Terry Keenan earlier today. Speaker 1: We are really focused on trying to make sure that our 700 families who lost a member of their family are taken care of. And so I spent the day yesterday and part of the day in talking to our insurance company. Our insurance company CNA told me that they would well, they they told our guys. They didn't tell me, and then they told me that that they were willing to treat this as an accidental death, which means that they would double the the policy for all of my my victims upstairs and all of and all of all of us. And and so that added $35,000,000 $35,000,000 to that group upstairs. But but the sad thing is so $35,000,000 sounds like so much money. But if you divide it by 700 people, it's it's only $50,000. It's not it's not enough to so that's why that's why we need to work on our foundation. Speaker 2: Yeah. And you've you've set up that foundation. We'll give the information to our viewers. Explain the the needs of these these young families. Many of your traders were just in their thirties. Speaker 1: We've got we've got the average employee we have is around 33 years old. So they've got they're they're just married. We have we have probably a dozen women who are pregnant with babies who just lost their husbands. We've got lots and lots and lots and lots. We must have more than a thousand children, 1,500 children who've now lost one of their parents, and they've lost the breadwinner that makes all the money. So we are dedicated to raising money for our foundation, which will which will go to to take care of and try to help the the victims of this horrible tragedy and try to make their lives a little easier, whether that pays for, you know, health insurance for a long, long time or gets them some extra money or makes their lives even this much easier. I mean, that that's what we're doing. That's what we're driving for, and it's called the the Cantor Fitzgerald Foundation. And, you know, anyone who can, can make a donation to it is gonna help a lot of people who really, really need it. Speaker 2: And just finally, you know, it was just, you know, the accident of timing and luck on your part that that you weren't in the building, and I know some of the other survivors here. How did how do you feel it must, you know, tear you in so many different directions? Speaker 1: You know, I don't know why I'm alive. I I not only was I did I I didn't get to the building early enough so that I wasn't in it, but then I stood outside at the door helping people out and telling them to come come on, get out, get out, and ask them what floor they were on trying to find the higher and higher floor so that I could hopefully find someone coming down from 101 so that that meant our guys and our women had survived. But, you know, I'm standing under the building when the number two collapses, and and I'm just I'm just lucky to be alive. And I I don't Speaker 2: know why I am, but, you know what, I'm I'm I'm just thankful, Speaker 1: and it must be because I've got the responsibility to try to do my best for for this group of 700 families, 700 families. Speaker 2: And I'm just I'm just one of them. Speaker 1: I lost I lost my brother, my sister's here, which is part of the family, and, Speaker 2: you know, that's my responsibility. And I'm and I'm gonna do my best, Speaker 1: and my fantastic employees at Canter and East Speed and TradeSmart, they're doing their best to support these guys, and that's what's driving them. And, you know, I think they're heroes. They're really they're really all heroes.
