As expected, Tapper is running an op. This book isn’t about coming clean- it’s clean up. He’s trying to give public absolution to the Biden propagandists, so they can go forth and sin more. Zero accountability. Total bullshit. https://t.co/aBMFLeHmDq

According to the speaker, Joe Biden saw David Ignatius's August 2023 column suggesting he shouldn't run for reelection. The speaker claims Biden also watched a show where Joe (the person the speaker is addressing) and others discussed the column, agreeing that Kamala Harris wasn't a viable alternative. The speaker alleges Biden then told staffers he wanted to change Joe's mind and treated Joe like a key constituency. The speaker believes Biden specifically targeted Joe, Jon Meacham, and possibly Evan Osnos, to convince them he was fit for office.

Speaker 0: In your specific case, Joe, our reporting indicates that Joe Biden, who as you know, is a a frequent viewer of the show Mhmm. Saw when David Ignatius wrote that column in, I think, August 2023, saying that Joe Biden should not run for reelection because of what he had been hearing. Right. And he came on this show, and you guys had a robust conversation about this. You largely agreed that you had been hearing things about this, but that there was really no alternative, that Kamala Harris was not up to the job. That's what Democrats were telling you behind the scenes. Joe Biden saw that. Joe Biden said to staffers that he wanted to convince you that you were wrong, And he focused on you like you were a constituency, like you were farmers in Iowa, like you were the Kiwanis Club in New Hampshire, and he made sure that you thought Farming show. He made sure that you thought differently. I think he did this with a couple people. I think he did it with Meacham. He might have done it with Evan Osnos. He knew that there were people that had to be convinced that he was fine, and he and he tried to prove that to you.

For a solid decade, the libs have conditioned their audience to lurch from one made up Trump crisis to another. Now they’ve got no choice, no matter how pathetic it makes them look. Can’t get any attention otherwise. https://t.co/ci3VZwoAT1

Donald Trump's tariff plans are failing, with business leaders and congressmen expressing concerns about economic damage and struggling small businesses. Trump needs to get off the "crazy tariff train." The UK is putting on a show of a trade deal, but a 10% tariff remains, impacting small businesses. China initially refused to negotiate without tariff reductions, but Trump's stance is softening. Trump is seeking an exit from the trade war due to declining cargo ship traffic and the potential for a COVID-like supply chain crisis. Small businesses are still panicked, but Wall Street anticipates a resolution. Trump's recent statement that the stock market looks cheap signals his desire to end the trade war. Some in Washington agree that Trump is looking for an off-ramp to avoid difficult consequences and make some sort of deal.

Speaker 0: You. Donald Trump is backed into a corner. His grand plans of tariffs, tariffs, tariffs aren't working. Right? You're seeing day in and day out more business leaders, whether it's Warren Buffett or Jamie Dimon or Ken Griffin on big global stages saying this is going to crush us economically. And then you've got congressmen, senators from every state saying to this White House, our small businesses are strangling are are dying here. I'm not saying Donald Trump has changed what he thinks in his heart, but he's backed into a corner and he needs to get off this crazy tariff train, and he knows it. So what do we see with England? Right? Great Britain, you've got a PM there who's a a close ally of Donald Trump, and they're saying, let's put on a show. Let's create a theater, and let's say we've got a deal. And, yes, there aren't any details to it. There is still a 10% tariff, which is why Jay Powell is not cutting rates because 10% is more than triple what it was. So it's still going to be painful, especially for small business. But what's most important is the language around China. A Week ago, China was like, we're not showing up unless you lower the tariffs, and we didn't. Forty eight hours ago, Donald Trump said, we're not gonna lower the tariffs. Yesterday, he said, yeah. Maybe. And today, things are softening even more. So I absolutely agree with you that Donald Trump is looking for some sort of exit here. And four weeks from now, six weeks from now, we may be seeing a much better picture because he has been told that look at the cargo ships coming in to Seattle, the Port Of Los Angeles. Pick the port. Those were getting fewer and fewer ships with less and less cargo. And unless he turns this around, three weeks from now, you walk into a store, and we're going to have a COVID like supply chain crisis. And Trump is looking for exit. And while small businesses right now are saying, I don't see it yet. I'm still panicked. Wall Street sees it. One more point yesterday. What did he say? Stock market looks cheap. Buy the market. And I'm not saying Donald Trump is a stock market pontificator, but the last time he said that was April 9, the day he said, I'm gonna press pause. I believe he's giving lots and lots of signals to say this trade war, I'm looking for a way out. Speaker 1: Certainly, some in Washington agree with you, Steph, that this there's looking for an off ramp here, that he sees that the alternative would just be too difficult, make some sort of deal. And other headlines

Years ago, a teacher friend worked at a special program public school in a tough NYC area, where they provided top teachers and resources, including new technology and a low student-teacher ratio. Despite these efforts, there was no improvement in student scores or behavior over the years. She noted that only a few parents attended conferences, often just grandparents, highlighting the lack of parental support. This absence of a learning culture hindered progress, yet the education system continues to push for more resources without addressing these fundamental issues.

@BuckSexton - Buck Sexton

Had a teacher friend years ago who was assigned to a special program public school in a rough nyc area. Straightforward idea- flood this one school with top teachers and ample resources-then the low-income kids in it will excel. Replicate it elsewhere. She said the classrooms had brand new Mac computers, iPads, All the bells and whistles. Plus low student-teacher ratio. But nothing changed for the kids, scores or behavior issues, over years and years while she was there. Why? Well, she said out of 30 kids, maybe 3 would have parents show up for parent teacher conference day- often a grandparent. Without parental support, fostering a culture of learning, it won’t get better. You’ll never hear the truth from Randi W. and the rest of the Ed cartel though. They don’t care about the kids, only “more resources” (taxpayer dollars) for adults.

This flooding is inside Walter Reed National Military Medical center- source tells me following years of neglect, a critical steam system failure has crippled all non-emergency operations. Critical situation at military medicine’s flagship institution. https://t.co/rnmNDITHc0

I believe that Haitian migrants in Ohio are not illegal due to the Biden administration's executive decree, which protects them from deportation. While Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is intended to be temporary, I argue that Democrats will not enforce deportation when it ends. Additionally, Biden's use of "parole authority" has allowed many migrants to enter the U.S. legally, which I see as an abuse of immigration law. The original intent of TPS, established by Congress in 1990, has been stretched beyond its purpose, creating significant issues that I think could be addressed by future leadership.

@BuckSexton - Buck Sexton

The Haitians migrants in Ohio are not *illegal* The Biden/Harris administration decided, by executive decree, that they cannot be deported, and are de facto legal More importantly, Democrats will never, ever, deport these “TPS” recipients It’s not temporary, it’s forever

@BuckSexton - Buck Sexton

It’s supposed to be a temporary status, and when it ends, they are all “illegal” again in the sense that they are deportable. But Democrats absolutely will not deport them. That’s the whole game.

@BuckSexton - Buck Sexton

Also: Biden has exercised a “parole authority” so that many of these TPS designated countries have been allowed to fly hundred-of-thousands of migrants *LEGALLY* into the U.S. This an outrageous abuse of an immigration law loophole. However bad you think the Biden borders are, it’s worse

@BuckSexton - Buck Sexton

Temporary Protected Status comes from Congress, the Immigration Act of 1990. It’s supposed to be an emergency only measure. Biden’s White House has abused it far beyond the intent of the law, and created a mess. But Trump can turn it around and shut it down.
