Rep. Thomas Massie expressed concern over Congress funding USAID, noting that every continuing resolution (CR) includes this funding. He highlighted that he was the only House Republican to vote against the CR containing USAID funding in March and plans to do so again in September. In response, another user referenced a previous discussion, prompting Massie to recall the silence in the Rules Committee when he spoke out about the issue, indicating he does not need to prepare new remarks for the upcoming discussions.

@RepThomasMassie - Thomas Massie

Many conservatives are rightfully upset that Congress has been funding USAID. Every CR we pass has the funding for USAID within it. In March, I was the only House Republican to vote against the CR which contained the funding for USAID. I will also vote against the CR in Sept.

Speaker 0: Can we be honest with the American people about what's going on here? This is political theater. I'm gonna call out both sides right here. It's all posturing. It's fake fighting. We all know where it ends up. This is Groundhog Day. I don't care if the democrat is the speaker or republican is the speaker. We always get a c r in September, and then we get an omnibus. Sometimes there's a twist on that. We might get the omnibus before Christmas, but if we're not good, it comes after Christmas. But that's what's going to happen. And in the meantime, it's political theater. You know, we've got some it's good theater. We've got great writers. I wish they just come up with a new plot. It's the same plot every fiscal year. What should we be doing? It's already been discussed. We should have done 12 separate bills. We should have done 12 separate bills. But, again, whether Democrats are in control or Republicans are in control, we never do the 12 separate bills. What did what why do we always spend at least as much as we did last year, and why do we never cut spending? It's because Democrats wanna grow the welfare state, and republicans wanna grow the military industrial complex. And we're we're eventually gonna get together, and they're both gonna go up. I guarantee it.

@RepThomasMassie - Thomas Massie

@Chesschick01 I remember this. You could have heard a pin drop in the Rules Committee when I started speaking the truth. I don’t even need to make a new speech for this year. 😒

Chesschick01 mentioned that Scott Bessent was an executive for George Soros for over a decade. In response, Elon Musk called Bessent a "Soros stooge" and criticized his math skills, while also noting that positive polling a year ago led to Trump utilizing him frequently.

@Chesschick01 - Natalie F Danelishen

Do you know Scott Bessent was an executive for George Soros for over a decade?

@EricLDaugh - Eric Daugherty

🚨 Holy SMOKES: Scott Bessent with a message for Elon Musk... "The principles of DOGE were very popular. If you looked at the polling, Elon was NOT." "Those Board of Directors did not like this announcement [of a new party] yesterday." https://t.co/riAVdIdyMO

The speaker asks if Elon Musk starting a new political party worries the Trump administration. The secretary responds that the principles of Doge were very popular, but Elon Musk was not, according to polling. He believes the boards of directors at Musk's companies want him to run those companies, as he is better at that than anything else. The secretary imagines the boards of directors did not like the announcement and will encourage Musk to focus on business activities, not political activities.

Speaker 0: I let you go. It's not a big secret that you had your differences with Elon Musk when he was working in the administration. He announced this weekend that he is starting a new political party. Does that worry the Trump administration? Speaker 1: Look. The principles of Doge were very popular. I think if you looked at the polling, Elon was not. So, I believe that the boards of directors at his various companies wanted him to come back and run those companies, which he is better at than anyone. So I imagine that those board of directors did not like this announcement yesterday and will be encouraging him to focus on his business activities, not his political activities. Speaker 0: Thank you, mister secretary. Appreciate your time. Speaker 1: Thank you.

@elonmusk - Elon Musk

@Chesschick01 Bessent is a Soros stooge. And he's a political science major who can't even do math. The polling for me was very positive a year ago, which is why Trump used me so much.

I want to remind everyone that the FCC revoked a billion-dollar grant to Starlink intended for connecting rural America. As of now, that money hasn't helped anyone, while people are relying on Starlink for connectivity in rural disaster zones. It's tragic to think how many lives could have been saved if they were already connected.

@Chesschick01 - Natalie F Danelishen

This is a good time to remind you all that the FCC revoked a billion dollar grant to Starlink that was going to connect rural areas of America. Today not a single dime of that money has connected any rural areas and people are now independently using Starlink to connect rural disaster zones from #HuracanHelene. 50 plus people are dead but how many could have been saved if they were already connected to Starlink?

I'm gonna get great ratings on your surrounded by women as music blares in the background. After a while, Trump goes to greet three new guests. Among them, the financier Jeffrey Epstein. Come on in. Trump alternates between dancing and pointing out women to Epstein and the other man and telling Epstein about the cameras. Though exactly what they say is difficult to understand as they discuss the women and their appearances, Trump gestures to one and appears to say to Epstein, look at her back there. She's hot. And then Trump says something else into Epstein's ear that makes him double over with laughter. But as the president
