NEW: Secret passageway linked to the Underground Railroad discovered at the bottom drawer of a dresser in New York City. The 2-by-2-foot opening revealed a ladder that descended two stories. The 19th-century house on East Fourth Street in Manhattan was built by abolitionist Joseph Brewster in the 1830s, according to Spectrum News. The house is now believed to have been used as a "safe house." "I’ve been practicing historical preservation law for 30 years, and this is a generational find. This is the most significant find in historic preservation in my career," said preservation attorney and professor at Pratt Institute, Michael Hiller. Historians say the passageway is a "masterwork of deliberate concealment," designed to be "absolutely invisible to slave catchers."

Underneath the straws in the merchant’s house lay a hidden path to freedom. When the hatch was removed, a small rectangular opening cut into the floorboards revealed a two-by-two-foot enclosed space. A ladder descended to the Ground Floor, leading to what the builders and later investigators called a hidden vertical passageway. The discovery relates to a house in the East Village that served not only as a home but as a safe house for enslaved Africans who escaped bondage in the South. The emotional aspect of the find stems from the realization that desperate people, yearning to be free, once sat等待 in that two-by-two-foot space, unable to stand, waiting for their next chance at liberty. This was literally a path to freedom. Historically minded professionals have stepped into the space to examine it firsthand. One preservationist, practicing historic preservation law for over thirty years, called the discovery the most significant find of his career, stressing the importance of preserving it. He noted that the vertical passageway had been designed to be explored and understood as a critical piece of the city’s history. Inside the bottom of the passageway, artifacts were found, including a nineteenth-century newspaper clipping. In 2026, experts confirmed that the passageway was designed in 1832 by the original owner, Joseph Brewster, who was an abolitionist. Brewster was the builder of the house and is described as someone who made the choice to incorporate such a concealment feature. Brewster later sold the building to the Treadwell family in 1835. It remains unclear whether the Treadwells used the passage or even knew of its existence. Historians describe the passageway as a masterwork of deliberate concealment, designed to be absolutely invisible to slave catchers during the nineteenth century. Its discovery stands as a groundbreaking testament to the courage of the abolitionist movement in New York City. Commentators emphasize that many New Yorkers forget the city’s role in the abolitionist and civil rights movements, and this physical evidence illustrates New York City’s connection to events in the South, to the Civil War, and to ongoing struggles today. The passageway is viewed as a critical piece of the broader fight for freedom and justice. Thus, the merchant’s house is seen no longer merely as a domestic relic in Manhattan’s East Village, but as a potent, emotionally charged monument to the American struggle for liberty.

Speaker 0: Oh, wow. And underneath these straws is the path to freedom. Once removed, there's a hatch. That hole is so small. And then you can see this rectangular opening cut into the floorboards, which leads to an enclosed space about two feet by two feet. A ladder then leads down to the Ground Floor. You guys knew this was here. Yes. We we knew it, but we didn't really understand what we were looking at. Now they know. The merchant's house was also a safe house for enslaved Africans who escaped bondage in the South. This is very emotional because I'm city where desperate, desperate people yearning to be free once sat with their eyes on freedom. They went down to a two by two space. You could barely stand up in it, and they stayed there waiting for their next money. This was the path to freedom. Speaker 1: I've been practicing historic preservation law for over thirty years. This is a generational find. This is the most significant find in historic preservation in my career, and it's incredibly important that we preserve this. Speaker 0: Architects and preservationists recently went down inside this hidden vertical passageway to examine it for themselves. Speaker 1: I'm not exactly the biggest guy in the world, and I had trouble shimmying down to the bottom. Yes. Speaker 0: Wow. And when you got to the bottom, what was there? Speaker 1: Well, there were artifacts down there. There was a newspaper clipping from the nineteenth century down there. Speaker 0: In 2026, these experts confirmed this passageway was designed in 1832 by the original owner. Joseph Brewster was an abolitionist. Speaker 2: Abolitionism was incredibly rare among white white New Yorkers, especially wealthy white New Yorkers. He was the builder of the house. He he was able to make these choices and and and design them. Speaker 0: Brewster sold the building to the Treadwell family in 1835. It's unclear if the Treadwells used or even knew the passageway was there. Historians call this passageway a masterwork of deliberate concealment designed to be absolutely invisible to slave catchers during the nineteenth century. Its groundbreaking discovery, a testament to the courage of the abolitionist movement in New York City. Speaker 3: You know, many New Yorkers forget that we were part of the abolitionist movement. We were part of the civil rights movement, but this is a physical evidence here in the the merchant house that really shows New York City's connectivity to what happened in the South, what happened during the civil war, and what's still happening to today. Speaker 1: It's a critical piece of the overall struggle for freedom and justice. Speaker 0: The merchant's house, no longer just a relic of domestic life in the East Village. Its identity now includes a powerful, emotionally charged monument to the American struggle for liberty. In Manhattan, Cheryl Wills, New York one.

NEW: NewsNation reporter Rich McHugh shows up to one “assisted living” facility in Minnesota that receives tons of taxpayer money only to find it’s a normal looking single family home. The facility is one of a few facilities owned by Gandi Mohamed. Mohamed was indicted in 2024 for allegedly laundering $1M in the Feeding Our Future case. “These assisted living facilities received over $2.3M in state money last year alone,” said McHugh. “A Minnesota Reformer article says [Mohamed] has been paid a whopping $49M since 2016.” “How is it possible that this person who has been indicted in feeding our future also is still collecting checks from the state running these assisted living centers with his wife?”

Video Transcript AI Summary
Prosecutors have identified billions in Medicaid fraud across 14 programs, and researchers have now found a fifteenth area: assisted living. In Minnesota, the assisted living program is expanding faster than other programs, with payments rising 10 to 15 times as fast. Data on area facilities show Minneapolis has 169, Saint Paul has 83 (population 307,000), Brooklyn Center has 106 (pop. ~30,000), and Brooklyn Park has 181 (pop. ~84,000), highlighting a higher concentration of facilities in smaller cities. The assisted living facility in question is housed in what appears to be a single-family home, yet it bills itself as an assisted living facility and receives substantial state funding. The facility is owned by Gandhi Mohammad, now Gandhi Abdi Qadai, through his LLC, and his wife runs the assisted living services. The state continues to pay while he awaits trial. The report notes that this man was indicted in the Feeding Our Future scam, which involved false billing, and asks why he is still receiving state funds through these facilities. Speakers discuss whether Feeding Our Future indictments should trigger a cross-check to prevent individuals involved in that scheme from receiving other state funds. One speaker asks, “Do you know the Feeding Our Future scandal?” and notes the lack of awareness among people being interviewed. It is stated that the man who owns the building was indicted in Feeding Our Future, and that his shell company was used to purchase a new assisted living facility property, with his wife operating the service provider side. The facility received over 2,300,000 in state money last year, and a Minnesota reformer article claims the person has been paid 49,000,000 since 2016. The interviewees question how it is possible that someone indicted in Feeding Our Future is still collecting checks from the state through these assisted living centers run by his wife. State Representative Kristen Robbins, chair of the House Fraud and Oversight Committee, expresses concern that basic due diligence was not performed to cross-check Feeding Our Future defendants against other state funding. The parties reached out to the man and his wife but have not heard back. They also contacted the Department of Human Services, which stated that they cannot cut funding from this person because he is “simply a landlord,” with his wife running the service provider arm of the facilities. The department’s position is described as passing the buck.

Speaker 0: Hi, Hannah. Well, prosecutors here have found, billions in fraud, 9,000,000,000 in fraud, and they focused on 14 different programs that fraudsters use to defraud to defraud Medicaid of those billions. We got a tip last time we were reporting here to look into another area, and thanks to our reporting, we did. And we believe we have found the fifteenth area, and it is assisted living. Take a look. This may look like your typical single family home, but it bills itself as an assisted living facility, and it receives a lot of taxpayer money. Here in Minnesota, the number of people getting help in assisted living facilities is up, double the growth of other programs. But here's the kicker, the rate of payment in this assisted living space is 10 to 15 times the growth in other programs. Hi. So we pulled the data on assisted living facilities in the area. Minneapolis, as you might expect, has a lot, a 169. Saint Paul, with a population of 307,000, has 83. But Brooklyn Center, 30,000 population has 106. And Brooklyn Park, population of 84,000 has a 181, more than Minneapolis, a city five times its size. But this assisted living facility puts this all in perspective. It's owned by a man indicted for laundering a million dollars in the Feeding Our Future scam. He's Gandhi Mohammad, now Gandhi Abdi Qadai and his LLC owns the homes. His wife runs the assisted living facilities, and the state is continuing to pay as he awaits his trial. We went to each of them. We're we're curious because the man who owns this building was indicted in the Feeding Our Future scandal. Do you know that? No. Don't know that? Speaker 1: No. You think what? Speaker 0: Do you know the Feeding Our Future scandal? This the scam that was that there's all these indictments related to false, you know, billing on on on feeding No. Shows. No. No. That's not true. That that it's not true? That he That's not true. The way I know nurse, stop. These assisted living facilities received over 2,300,000.0 in state money last year alone. A Minnesota reformer article says he has been paid a whopping 49,000,000 since 2016. How is it possible that this person who's been indicted in Feeding Our Future also is still collecting checks from the state running these assisted living centers with his wife? Speaker 1: I honestly have no idea. It seems like the most basic due diligence would have been to run a check of all the people indicted in Feeding Our Future and then make sure they're not getting paid from other state programs. And at least in this case, and I've heard perhaps in others, they didn't do that. Speaker 0: State representative Kristen Robbins is the chair of the house fraud and oversight committee here. Speaker 1: So this person owns assisted living facilities, and his wife runs the service provider part of it. So his he owns the property. One of the properties was purchased with the same, shell company he used to money launder in Feeding Our Future. And now that same shell company has been used to buy a new assisted living facility property. It's unconscionable that they haven't done the most basic due diligence to cross check that Feeding Our Future defendants aren't getting additional state money. Speaker 0: Now we reached out to this man and his wife and yet to hear back. We also reached out to the Department of Human Services here, and they gave us a statement. In part, it basically says, ultimately, they can't cut funding from this guy because he is simply a landlord, essentially because his wife runs the services for these assisted living facilities. Essentially, Hannah passing the buck.

Speaker 0: Indictment, please. Well, it's an unjust indictment, and it seems like these intimidation tactics have been pervasive. We spent all weeks seeing different members getting sanctuary, all in hopes of intimidating and kinda distracting from the Epstein files. And I look forward to my day in court so I can prove myself and actually state the truth. But if this is what congress is becoming, where they're always trying to intimidate you, scare tactics, especially attacking minorities, black and brown people, then we're gonna have to keep fighting for the district. And everybody has been giving me so much support, and we're gonna keep fighting until the district gets what it needs, which is fair prices, housing, and fair representation of congress. But did you so much? Improperly because you're gonna hate the fight. Calls on some of your colleagues to step down or resign. They didn't elect me. It was my district, and so we'll keep fighting for the people and keep working like we're doing now until they get what they need. So we're here for the people. So the only people who elected me should have make that decision. Thank you so much. Speaker 1: I also wanted to ask you about the investigation into your families. But this is also part of her congressional duties. Congresswoman, you know, you're under investigation for the congressional ethics for violation of campaign finances. Congresswoman, this is your district. You have to answer to these people. Congresswoman.

These remarks were notable as Crooks reached the final phase of his YouTube commenting, during which a new figure, Willie Tepes, pressured Crooks to embrace violence. Tepes wrote, “if a gun and a badge is all that is needed, then authority obviously comes from the barrel of a gun. We have more guns than they do. There is no way we can avoid a war at this point, so you better just get used to the idea. We have nothing to lose and everything to win. And the alternative, a global police state, is unacceptable.” The identity of Willie Tepes remains unknown; the FBI has not publicly mentioned him, though they are aware he exists. Days after the shooting, someone screenshotted Tepes’ YouTube account page despite him having few followers. The user’s online footprint now appears on a foreign Antifa website linking Tepes to the Nordic Resistance Movement, a group designated a terrorist organization by the US State Department. Crooks’ online footprint abruptly ends after his encounter with Tepes. Regardless of Tepes’ motives or affiliations, Crooks was clearly ripe for recruitment; from early 2019 to mid-2020, his political views evolved and he searched for Trump more than 700 times online, as well as for Jack Ruby, the man who assassinated Lee Harvey Oswald. He submitted queries including “craziest chemical reactions,” “cars running over protesters,” “best places for mass shooting,” “mass shooting El Paso,” “Trump’s civil war,” “Orlando shooting reaction,” “firing an AR-15 as fast as possible,” “fertilizer bomb,” “how to make napalm,” “how to make Molotov cocktail,” “mass shooting Canada,” “Oklahoma bombing,” and “sniper in Dallas shooting.” He also searched for “American Nazi Party,” “German national anthem 1933, 1945,” “Hitler’s speeches with subtitles,” “neo Nazis,” and “why gays need to go.” Thus, a volatile, troubled, possibly mentally ill young man with a long record of espousing violence in public. The FBI clearly knew he existed. At the same time Crooks was making these posts publicly, the FBI was issuing contracts to private sector tech surveillance firms to harness mass data collection tools to monitor social media for people just like Crooks. It is hard to imagine Crooks, posting in his own name, had not been identified and looked at closely by federal law enforcement. The FBI had access to these YouTube comments, and instead of providing valuable insights, they selectively read them to mischaracterize Crooks’ thoughts. Two and a half weeks after the July 30 attack, a source familiar with the investigation told CNN that federal investigators were looking into a YouTube account possibly connected to Crooks that espoused political violence as well as antisemitic and anti-immigration themes. It wasn’t “possibly connected to Thomas Crooks” as the FBI knew it was Crooks’ account; the same day, the FBI’s deputy director made the same dishonest claim before Congress, and the previous week FBI Director Christopher Wray publicly questioned whether Trump was even shot. In February 2025, the New York Post reported that the FBI obstructed efforts to solve why Thomas Matthew Crooks, who left no manifesto, did what he did. The Post said this left local law enforcement, Crooks’ former friends, classmates, and teachers frustrated, and noted that the cremation timing raised concerns. Less than a month after the shooting, Congressman Clay Higgins of Louisiana, a former police officer, investigated in Butler and learned that the FBI released Crooks’ body for cremation ten days after July 13. Higgins reported that the coroner said Crooks’ body would not have been released to the family for cremation or burial without FBI permission. The cremation, the day House Homeland Security and Oversight Committees began investigations, made it impossible for investigators outside the FBI to verify the autopsy report; a new tox screen could not be performed because the body no longer exists.

Speaker 0: These remarks were especially notable because they came at the final phase of Crooks' YouTube commenting. At that point, a new character emerged into the conversation, a user named Willie Tepes, who started pressuring crooks to commit violence. For example, quote, if a gun and a badge is all that is needed, then authority obviously comes from the barrel of a gun. We have more guns than they do. There is no way we can avoid a war at this point, so you better just get used to the idea. We have nothing to lose and everything to win. And the alternative, a global police state, is unacceptable. Nothing in life is simple, but that is no argument against doing it. So who is this Willie Tepes? Unfortunately, we don't know. The FBI hasn't made any mention of him in public, although they certainly know he exists. Just days after the shooting, somebody screenshotted Tepes' YouTube account page despite the fact he had very few followers. To the extent that he can be traced online now, you can find his username being used on a foreign Antifa website. Those sites link him to the Nordic resistance movement, which has been designated a terrorist group by the US State Department. That's all we know. We do know, however, that Crooks' online footprint abruptly ends after his encounter with his mysterious figure, Willie Tepes. Regardless whoever Willie Tepes is or was and what his motives may have been, who he may have been working for, there is no doubt that Crooks was ripe for recruitment by someone. From early twenty nineteen to mid twenty twenty, as his political views were evolving, Crooks searched for Trump more than 700 times online. He also searched for Jack Ruby, the man who assassinated Lee Harvey Oswald. He then submitted queries for craziest chemical reactions, cars running over protesters, best places for mass shooting, mass shooting El Paso, Trump's civil war, Orlando shooting reaction, firing an a r 15 as fast as possible, fertilizer bomb, how to make napalm, how to make Molotov cocktail, mass shooting Canada, Oklahoma bombing, and sniper in Dallas shooting. He also searched for American Nazi party, German national anthem 1933, 1945, Hitler's speeches with subtitles, neo Nazis, and, quote, why gays need to go. So here you have a volatile, troubled, possibly mentally ill young man with a long record of espousing violence in public. The FBI clearly knew he existed. And then you have at the very end of his years commenting in public, espousing violence, in exchange with a mysterious figure affiliated with a group that we know was being monitored by The US State Department. It turns out that around the same time that Thomas Crooks was making these searches and posting overt threats of violence against public figures on YouTube, the FBI was issuing contracts to private sector tech surveillance firms to harness the power of mass data collection tools that would monitor social media for people just like Thomas Crooks. It's hard to imagine that Thomas Crooks, who was making these posts publicly and in his own name, had not been identified and looked at closely by federal law enforcement. In fact, it's impossible to imagine. What do we know? Well, we know that the FBI had access to these YouTube comments, and rather than giving us valuable information about them, giving us a sense of why Thomas Crooks did what he did, they used a selective read of those comments to lie about what Thomas Crooks was thinking. Two and a half weeks after the attack on July 30, a source familiar with the investigation told CNN that, quote, federal investigators are looking into a YouTube account possibly connected to Crooks in which the user espoused political violence as well as anti Semitic and anti immigration themes. Well, of course, it wasn't possibly connected to Thomas Crooks as the FBI knew full well it was Thomas Crooks' account. There was never any question about that. And yet the same day, the FBI's then deputy director made the same dishonest claim before congress. The week previous, then FBI director Christopher Wray publicly questioned whether Trump was even shot. Speaker 1: With respect to former president Trump, there's there's some question about whether or not it's a bullet or shrapnel that, you know, that hit his ear. Speaker 0: In February 2025, the New York Post reported that, quote, the FBI has obstructed efforts to solve the mystery of why Thomas Matthew Crooks, who left no manifesto, did what he did. And this fact, said the Post, left local law enforcement as well as Crooks' former friends, classmates, and teachers frustrated. The level of lying and obstruction is shocking. Less than a month after the shooting, congressman Clay Higgins of Louisiana, a former police officer, traveled to Butler to conduct his own investigation into what happened. When he arrived, he discovered a disturbing fact. The FBI released Crooks' body for cremation ten days after July 13. This wasn't known to the public until Higgins arrived in Butler on August 5, when the coroner told the congressman, quote, he would never have released Crooks's body to the family for cremation or burial without specific permission from the FBI. The timing of Crooks' cremation is notable. The day Crooks' body was burned was also the day the House Homeland Security and Oversight Committees had begun their investigations into the shooting. The fact the body was cremated made it impossible for investigators outside the FBI to verify the coroner an autopsy report. You can't do a new tox screen because the body doesn't exist.

On July 26, 2023, Biden's DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said he was "proud" of 'Operation Allies Welcome.' This is the same program that the Afghan national, who is accused of shooting two National Guardsmen, used to enter the country. "You're referring to what we termed Operation Allies Welcome, a program that we are very proud of that we instituted to provide refuge for individuals..." This man should be sitting in a prison cell for the rest of his life.

Speaker 0 asked how many Afghans have been admitted to the United States through parole since the fall of Kabul, and whether the administration will review each individual’s status on a case-by-case basis as the two-year parole period expires. Speaker 1 replied that he would be pleased to provide the data but does not have it at the moment. Speaker 0 asserted that 70,192 Afghans were brought to the United States and placed on parole for two years, and again pressed the question of whether each individual’s status would be reviewed on a case-by-case basis as parole periods come to an end. Speaker 1 described the program as Operation Allies Welcome, a government initiative designed to provide refuge for many individuals. He stated that they were screened and vetted by government personnel and that they were brought in on categorical parole. When parole periods are subject to renewal, he said, they will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Speaker 0 then referenced Fort McCoy in his state, noting that two years earlier the commander there said individuals were not interviewed on a case-by-case basis. He argued that Afghanistan, a region described as a terror hotbed, should have used the Special Immigrant Visa process, but the previous administration did not route those who came in from Afghanistan through the SIV. He asked about the damage caused at Fort McCoy during the period when more than 12,000 Afghans arrived. Speaker 1 responded by reiterating that the individuals who benefited from Operation Allies Welcome were indeed screened and vetted by government personnel and were brought in on categorical parole, not through the Special Immigrant Visa process. He then stated that Fort McCoy sustained $145,600,000 in damage and that the place was virtually destroyed. He concluded the exchange with a brief transition, signaling a move to another topic.

I report that the FBI concluded would-be Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks acted alone after a massive, global investigation, per Fox News. Fox said thousands were interviewed and families and the president were spoken to, with no cover-up. Dan Bongino told Fox there is no motive, no reason.

@CollinRugg - Collin Rugg

BREAKING: The FBI has concluded that would-be Trump assassin Thomas Crooks “acted alone.” The report from Fox News came just days after Tucker Carlson’s bombshell report on Crooks’ online activity and his connection to a mysterious figure. “The FBI came to the conclusion that Butler, Pennsylvania, would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks acted alone — after a massive team doggedly pursued interviews with thousands of foreign and domestic individuals as part of an unprecedented global investigation into the 2024 shooting of President Donald Trump,” Fox News reported. “We have reviewed this case over and over, looked into every nugget. We have spoken to the families, the president, there is no cover-up here,” Dan Bongino said to Fox News Digital. “There is no motive for it, there is no reason for it.”

These remarks were especially notable because they came at the final phase of Crooks' YouTube commenting. We do know, however, that Crooks' online footprint abruptly ends after his encounter with this mysterious figure, Willie Tepes. Regardless whoever Willie Tepes is or was and what his motives may have been, who he may have been working for, there is no doubt that Crooks was ripe for recruitment by someone.

NEW: Chicago pastor Corey Brooks is demanding action after a mother and her son were beaten by a mob of elementary-aged children after school. The young boy was seen trying to hold on tight to his mom as the children hit her. During an interview with Fox News, Brooks said parents are not being held accountable for their children's actions. "Unfortunately, this is the cycle that we continue to see in the city of Chicago, where violence is so rampant and parents aren't being held accountable," he said. "That's the reason why I am walking across America, trying to get people to wake up in our urban areas so they can understand the magnitude of the issues that we're faced with every single day." "I think we've gone away from [respect], and we have to get back to those days," said Chicago Police 7th District Councilman Joseph Williams. According to the Chicago PD, the woman and her son were transported to the hospital. They were in "serious condition" at the time of the statement. "No one is in custody at this time. Area Two detectives are investigating," they said. Infuriating.

Chicago is depicted as a microcosm of nationwide urban violence, with ongoing cycles of mayhem and a sense that parents and youths alike are not being held accountable. Speaker 0 describes rampant violence in Chicago and argues that the city’s problems reflect broader national issues. The speaker emphasizes the need to catch young people early and to keep doing the hard work to redirect neighborhoods, warning that the devastation has persisted for years and a clearer handle is needed. A mother recounts the incident, saying, “They fought my son. They hit my son first, all in his face. Then they dragged me in the grass and pull my little baby hair.” The message is that accountability has been lacking: “We haven't held these kids accountable. We haven't held parents accountable. No mother should be that helpless and be targeted by children inside of our own community.” The conversation shifts to a call for fear and respect that seems vanished from the community. A participant notes, “Councilman, where's the fear and respect?” and recalls a past environment where neighbors and parents kept youths in check, contrasting it with today’s reality. Speaker 3 agrees, lamenting the loss of discipline and stressing that no child or mother should have to experience such trauma. There is consensus that the issue extends beyond a single incident or school: “this is happening throughout the Chicago public school system.” Bullying is highlighted as a widespread problem, and there is a push for measures to ensure both parents’ voices and children’s voices are heard. If these voices are not heeded, the situation could “overspill into something even bigger,” according to the speakers.

Speaker 0: Well, unfortunately, this is the cycle that we continue to see in the city of Chicago where violence is so, rampant and parents are being held unaccountable. And that's the reason why I'm walking across America trying to get people to wake up in our urban areas so they can understand the magnitude of the issues that we're faced with every single day. Chicago is just a microcosm of what's going on across America. These young people are unruly. They have no moral compass, and we need organizations to really work hard to make sure we change the direction of our neighborhoods. If we're ever going to change the trajectory of our young people, we gotta catch them early. We gotta continue to do the work. But the tragedy is in Chicago right now, we're facing some devastation that has been going on for years, and we need to get a handle on it. Speaker 1: This is what the mother had to say about this incident. Let's play it. Speaker 2: I'm trying to get justice for my son. They fought my son. They hit my son first, all in his face. Then they dragged me in the grass and pull my little baby hair. Speaker 0: We haven't held these kids accountable. We haven't held parents accountable. No mother should be that helpless and be targeted by children inside of our own community. Speaker 1: Councilman, where's the fear and respect? I remember growing up, we were afraid of the neighbors because we knew that they was gonna get us and then our parents was gonna get us when we got home as well. None of that respect seems to exist anymore, Councilman. Speaker 3: Yeah. You know what? I completely agree. I think we've gone away from that and we have to get back to those days. I think no mother and child or children rather should have to experience something so traumatic to look at that video and to see you guys replay it. That's a horrifying video. I mean, it shows the disrespect. No child should ever feel comfortable putting their hands on an adult. And I think as senator Preston said and many have said it is that this has gone on for so long. Right? The mother has come to the school and talked about this and nothing had been done about it. It had not been addressed. And the thing about it is that, you know, I was glad to be there to be a support to their family and to help them through the process, but this is so much bigger than just that school. This is happening throughout the Chicago public school system. Many children are being bullied, and we have to put measures in place and make sure that those parents' voices are being heard and that those children's voices are being heard. Because if not, this can really overspill into something even bigger, I believe.

- Speaker 0 states that trafficking is one of the worst evils worldwide and is happening globally and in the US, with somewhere between 300,000 to a million people trafficked in the US this year, many of whom are minors. He distinguishes exploitation from trafficking: trafficking is primarily for profit; exploitation is primarily for pleasure, and exploitation often occurs on the Internet via peer-to-peer networks sharing child videos and images. - He shares a visual example: red dots representing unique IP addresses in New York State downloading and sharing child images and videos in the last thirty days; blue dots represent those being investigated. He notes that many people ask why enforcement isn’t doing more, and explains that law enforcement is undermanned and lacks the best technology. - Speaker 0 argues that increasing funding is necessary, not defunding, and supports escalating hires, especially in victim identification, to keep boys and girls safe. He mentions a bill in Congress, the Renewed Hope Act, aiming to hire more victim identification specialists to identify victims and safeguard them. - He observes that this issue is not unanimously supported or spoken about; it seems uncomfortable for people, and is framed as not about politics but about people, especially those suffering. He asserts that trafficking occurs “down the hall,” highlighting that the number one offender for this exploitation is biological fathers. - Speaker 1 asks whether FBI arrests are being made, and whether blue dots indicate investigations. Speaker 0 clarifies that blue dots are those being investigated, while a confirmed IP address sharing this content would be indicated differently. - Speaker 0 claims the issue is not just overseas but also in the US; he asserts that the US is the number one buyer of videos of boys and girls around the world, including paying for the rape of children in the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, and Thailand. He adds that the US is third worst in the world for peer-to-peer sharing of this information, with China, Russia, the US, and Italy (Italy being fourth). - He emphasizes that this is one of the worst evils in the world and argues that people think the problem is “over there” while it is happening domestically, requiring attention and action. - Speaker 1 and Speaker 0 discuss law enforcement burnout, noting heroes working daily to combat this crime but lacking access to better technology. They describe the burnout rate for officers exposed to such content, with an example of a month-old or nine-month-old victim, and mention that burnout is a major issue, with training time taking a year and subsequent burnout necessitating new hires.

Speaker 0: It is one of the worst evils in the world, and it is happening all around the world at a massive scale, but it's also happening right here in The US. And right now, this year, somewhere between 300,000 to a million people will be trafficked in The US. And so many of those will be minors and trafficking is a horrible evil. But also something that's really important to highlight is the exploitation. Of the traffic? No, the exploitation. So a lot of people bunch them together, but they're a little bit different. Trafficking is primarily done for profit. Exploitation is primarily done for pleasure. So exploitation is done on the mostly most of the time on the Internet and there'll be like peer to peer networks that someone download a peer to peer network and they will share child videos and they'll part of groups that goes back and forth. And we just think this is happening, you know, over there somewhere. But I pulled something just for you guys. Can y'all pull that up? You see that? Those red dots? This is New York State. That every red dot is a unique IP address that is downloading and sharing child images and videos. And that's just the last thirty days in the state of New York. Jesus. Woah. Speaker 1: And do Is the FBI arresting these people? Speaker 0: Well, do you see the blue dots? Those are the ones that are being investigated. Speaker 1: So just investigation? Speaker 0: The blue dots are the ones that are being But if you Speaker 1: have a confirmed IP address that's sharing this type of content. Speaker 0: So it's a good conversation, and a lot of people will say, well, how are they not doing more? Our law enforcement, can areas get better? Of course, but our law enforcement is so undermanned. It does not have many places, does not have the best tech. They are undermanned. There is a few people that are their job is this, It is not a lot. Like we have, we want to talk about all these things and they can't, and defund them. Listen, when you defund them, you're not actually caring for these boys and girls. I think we need to escalate how many hires we have, especially in victim identification to keep these boys and girls safe. It's one of our bills in congress. It is the renewed hope act is so that we would hire more victim identification specialists to be able to identify these boys and girls so that we can knock on that door and go safeguard that Why Speaker 1: you think that this is not unanimously supported or even spoken about? Like it Speaker 0: seems No, we've like speaking a lot about it. Speaker 1: Of course, you guys have, but like Speaker 0: Why is it not amplified? Yeah. Think it makes a lot of people uncomfortable. We wrote our bill specifically in a way for right or left because for us, it's not about politics. It's about people, especially people that are suffering. Yeah. And this is trafficking except this is just trafficking down the hall. Yeah. The number one offender in this biological fathers. Speaker 1: No way. Yes. Speaker 0: You think people aren't doing more about this because we feel, oh, this is a problem over there. I think that is a big part of it. Yes. I feel like we think it's just over there. And Over there meaning overseas? Overseas. We think it's taken. Liam Neeson. We think it's all of these other things when it's not. We have so much issues that are so many issues that are taking place right here in our country. And I could keep going off list. We're the number one buyer for boys and girls around the world. America is. Meaning, like, videos of it? Yes. We we pay for the rape of boys and girls in The Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand. Like, we're the number one buyer. In peer to peer sharing of of this information, we're third worst in the world. China, Russia, US, and Italy's fourth. Like, this is one of the worst evils in the world and people think, we're not doing that. Speaker 1: Yes. Do really think that. Speaker 0: I know we do. Yeah. And that's that's one of the you know, our hearts is to get this, you know, message out to be able to make change and and then support the our law enforcement and task forces that are working on this because there are some freaking heroes that are fighting this every single day, but they do not do not have as good of technology most of the time as those with the goal to do evil. They just don't. And they're also do you know how hard it is for these law enforcement officers when you wake up every day and you watch a video of an incident of an month old, a nine month old, when you watch and that's one of the number one burnout rates for law enforcement. Speaker 1: Mean, Speaker 0: I can't imagine. You do that, And I think the I think it's something around three years for them. But you take a year to be trained up, and now you're you're burned out. Now you've to bring someone else on. And it's like, do we have the I manpower to do mean,

Speaker 0, identifying as the only Black lesbian in the room, asks Senator Winner a direct question about women’s safety in female-only spaces, referencing an incident at Gold’s Gym where she was attacked in a locker room by a self-identifying trans woman with a documented history of domestic violence. She asks what Senator Winner would say to women seeking assurance that their safety will be protected from men who, under California law, can self-identify as women in women-only spaces. Speaker 1 responds that “we want everyone to be safe,” and notes that trans people exist as both men and women, saying, “if you're trans women or women.” He emphasizes the need to protect safety for all, acknowledging that trans women are part of the discussion. Speaker 0 continues, praising Senator Winner for housing bills and other actions, but asserts that “millions of women across America are being harassed and sexually assaulted in locker rooms.” She reiterates that she is a lesbian Black woman, not transphobic or homophobic, and stresses that some bills passed by Winner are dangerous for women and young children. She states she represents her community and urges protection for women in light of concerns about trans-inclusive policies. Speaker 2 interjects, urging Speaker 0 to allow Senator Winner to respond, while Speaker 0 reiterates the need for protection of women, specifying “Women. Women. Trans women are doing things. Women. They are men.” She describes the assailant as someone who “broke his wife’s jaw” requiring reconstructive surgery, and emphasizes her identity as a lesbian who is Black. She invites another Black woman to share her feelings, while also challenging the presence of others in the room. Speaker 1 reiterates the goal of protecting the safety of all women and acknowledges that “trans women are also brutalized in this country.” The conversation emphasizes a tension between protecting women’s safety and acknowledging the experiences of trans women, with Speaker 0 insisting, “We cannot be raped in the bathrooms by men that wanna say they're women. They're not women.” Speaker 2 responds by leaving, citing that the group is not protecting women, and remarks on the bills, stating she has read many of them and still finds issues “not right.” The exchange ends with Speaker 2, introducing herself as Tish Heine, and a comment about not allowing Blackness and civil rights to be used to justify laws for children to transform, followed by a remark about disparities in access to tampons versus transformation medication. The conversation also touches on broader political history, with Speaker 1 and Speaker 0 referencing political dynamics, including a note that “things were going so smoothly” before recalling an earlier moment in 2008 involving Aaron Peskin.

Candy's on this. Dad's on his way. We're coming to get you. Okay? Stay strong. Okay? Say your prayers. Speaker 1: Okay. So we will he's gonna go right to the city's Stillwater Jail. And if you'll just contact her, then she does this all the time. She knows what to do. Speaker 0: Yep. Make sure she knows Stillwater Police Department, not a county. Stillwater Police Department. We're the one. On Lewis. Yep. Yep. Let her know that we're the ones that picked him up. And let me say we are Stillwater PD. Stillwater PD. Yeah. Okay. That way they don't think he went, like, straight over and go with the county. Have awful experience from the side. Okay. And spread your feet for me. Nothing on your side. Let me just clean that.

I report that in Pennsylvania, a police officer opened fire on a man driving a Mercedes G-Wagon after the man rammed officers. Dalton Lee Janiczek, 21, was arrested and faces attempted-murder charges after a routine traffic stop. He allegedly struck an officer with his car multiple times, even when the officer was on the ground; the Mercedes circled back and struck him three more times as he tried to apply a tourniquet. Several officers hospitalized, in stable condition. Video: kelsandelles / tt.

Janiczek, the son of a prominent Pennsylvania lawyer, is accused of striking an officer with his car multiple times, even when the officer was on the ground. "Janiczek accelerated directly at the officer, attempting to hit him, and the officer discharged his firearm," the DA’s office said. "Again, Janiczek accelerated the vehicle, this time striking the officer, causing him to fall." "As the officer attempted to administer a tourniquet to a leg wound, the Mercedes circled back around the lot and struck the officer three more times as he laid on the ground." I clapped back at CNN’s Jake Tapper: there has been gerrymandering for 200 years. In Massachusetts, about 40% of the people voted for Trump, yet there are zero Republican representatives. Speaker 0: This all started because of redistricting in Texas, and this was Trump pushing Republican controlled states to throw out their current congressional maps so as to cook the books so that there is less likely for Democrats to retake control of the house during the next year midterms. Is it fair to argue that Republican Party is starting this? Speaker 1: No, Jake. There has been gerrymandering going on for two hundred years. There is such extreme gerrymandering going on that in a state like Massachusetts, it has 40% of the people voting for Trump. They only had they have zero representatives. The Republican party has zero representatives sent to the house. Think about that. In New Mexico, if 45% of people voted for Trump and vote Republican and zero is sent to the house, zero representative from the Republican party. So there's gerrymandering, crazy gerrymandering going on all over the country and we wanted to try to stop it in California and we did stop it in California and we went around the country. So I think this whole thing about finger pointing and said they did it, so therefore we should doing it. That's not really the way to go. The one party should outperform the other party. It should be performance. And when it comes to midterm elections as you know, always the party that is not in the White House usually wins by twenty, twenty five, 30 seats. So what does five seats matter in the first place in Texas? It is crazy. We should outperform them. That is where the action is.

NEW: Oklahoma teen walks free after facing 80 years in prison for r*ping and assaulting two high school girls, with one of them nearly being choked to death. Oklahoma State Rep. Justin Humphrey is calling for an investigation after Jesse Mack Butler received a slap on the wrist for the brutal assaults. Butler initially pleaded not guilty to the charges but struck a deal with the DA, changing his status from adult to youthful offender. Butler was charged with 2 counts of atempted r*pe, 3 counts of r*pe by instrumentation, 1 count of s*xual battery, 1 count of forcible oral sodomy, 2 counts of domestic assault and battery by strangulation, and 1 count of domestic assault and battery. One of the girls was so badly assaulted that she needed surgery on her neck. The girl said she was repeatedly r*ped and strangled if she refused him. The doctor said she was about 30 seconds from being k*lled. Despite all this, Butler will avoid any prison time, thanks to the 'youthful offender' status. Infuriating.

Video Transcript AI Summary
Two teenage girls accused Jesse Mack Butler of serious crimes, and the state could have charged him with more severe offenses, including attempted murder, but the case proceeded with the charges ultimately pursued. Details of what Butler did: - A girl identified as LS (16 at the time) dated Butler for about three months starting in January. She said Butler repeatedly raped and attempted to rape her and strangled her if she refused. She needed neck surgery from the strangulation, and her doctor said she would have died if the strangulation lasted another 30 seconds. She said she gave in after he threatened to kill her and her family. - A separate affidavit describes a relationship in March with another 16-year-old girl identified as KS, lasting six months. KS said Butler was aggressive and violent and that she went along with unwanted sex to avoid further harm. She said Butler strangled her when she refused, and he recorded himself strangling her until she passed out. Police later found that video on Butler’s phone. Legal progression: - Butler pleaded not guilty to all charges initially. For reasons not explained in the report, the DA’s office struck a deal to change his status from adult to youthful offender. - In July, a judge signed off on the youthful offender designation, and in August Butler changed his plea to no contest, meaning he acknowledged there was evidence to convict him. - There were ten counts initially; by August, there was one additional count for violating a protective order, bringing the total to 11 counts. Sentencing and sentencing plan: - On the same day that the 11th count was added, Butler was sentenced to 78 years in prison. - As a youthful offender, he was entitled to a rehabilitation plan, drafted by the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs and presented to the court. The plan requires daily check-ins, weekly counseling, a curfew, no social media, and 150 hours of community service. - The plan is to stay in effect until Butler turns 19, which is less than a year from the time described in the report. Overall arc: - The case involved graphic and violent abuse of two teenage girls, including repeated rape and strangulation, with one girl recording a strangling incident on video. - Despite the severity of the crimes and the length of the sentence, the youthful offender designation leads to a rehabilitation-focused plan with supervised restrictions and community service lasting until Butler’s 19th birthday.

Speaker 0: And while there were even more and way bigger charges that the state likely could have thrown at this kid, like attempted murder, the two alleged victims and their families had every reason to believe that the wheels of justice were hard at work on this case, both for them and for the accused, Jesse Mack Butler. And before I tell you what ended up happening, let me tell you why he faced those specific charges, what he actually did to those two girls. You should know that these details are extremely graphic. They are despicable, but they are critical to this story, when you find out how the judge came down in this case. So fair warning, trigger warning, what I'm about to list out for you is is very uncomfortable to to say and to hear. A police affidavit says a girl who's identified only as LS because she's a minor dated Jessie Butler for about three months, starting in January. She was 16 at the time. And during that time, the victim said Butler repeatedly raped and attempted to rape her and would strangle her if she refused. The teenage girl needed surgery to repair the damage done to her neck by the strangulation, and her doctor told her that she would have died had that strangulation lasted another thirty seconds. The girl said that she gave in to Jessie Mack Butler because he threatened to kill her and he threatened to kill her family if she didn't give in. A separate affidavit says in March, Butler took up with another 16 year old girl identified only as KS. And that relationship lasted six months, but this teenager also said that Butler was aggressive and violent with her and says she went along with all the unwanted sex to avoid being hurt further. This victim also said that one time when she did refuse, Butler strangled her too. But get this, he recorded himself strangling her until she passed out. And lest you think this might be just a he said, she said, police later found that video on Jesse Mac Butler's phone. So that's what we call evidence. Jesse Butler pleaded not guilty to everything, as was his right, right off the bat. But in the coming months, for reasons that I will not pretend tonight to understand, the DA's office struck a deal with Butler's lawyers to change his status from adult to youthful offender. The victim's families begged the DA, please do not do that. Please, no. But in July, a judge decided to sign off on this. And in August, Jesse Mac Butler changed his plea from not guilty to no contest, meaning he knew there was ample evidence to convict him, and you should know that a conviction is the result of a no contest plea. Right? That's what you get, convicted. By the way, I mentioned there were 10 counts before, but by August, there was one more. So the grand tally now stood at 11. The new count was for violating a protective order, which, oh my god, facing 10 felony counts and violating a protective order should have been a hell of a red flag for anybody, somebody. But the very same day that happened, Butler was sentenced to seventy eight years in prison, which sounds like a fitting punishment for somebody who nearly kills two teenage girls and rapes them repeatedly with all sorts of things. But as a youthful offender, Jesse Mack Butler was also entitled to special treatment, like a rehabilitation plan, which was drawn up by the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs, and that plan was presented to the court last week. This new punishment called for daily check ins, weekly counseling, a curfew, no social media, and a hundred and fifty hours of community service. Bam. They really brought down the hammer, one hundred and fifty? Oh, that's like three weeks if you work really hard. This new plan is scheduled to stay in effect until Jesse Mack Butler turns 19, and that, my friends, is less than a year from now. So, wow, long punishment.

Two illegal immigrants in Phoenix, Arizona, are $420,000 in debt and have no serious plans on paying it off, say they "deserve" a new Toyota Tacoma. Caleb Hammer, who runs financial audits for people, ended the interview after they refused to make any substantial changes. The man works in construction and makes about $6000 a month. He admitted that he pays little to no taxes. "You guys are f****d! ... I'm done!"

Speaker 0 confirms they are on a joint mortgage at a 4.3% rate; current balance is 260,631.08. Speaker 2 says they got out at a good time but doesn’t like the house because it doesn’t have a pool, noting there is a community pool. They also have a home equity loan and a Toyota 4Runner, all of which are joint debts. The home equity loan was taken to consolidate debt, with an 80% loan-to-value, after which debts were transferred rather than paid off, leading to continued debt growth. Speaker 0 warns they cannot use another tool (including bankruptcy) until their behavior changes, stating they will repeat the cycle if they don’t. Speaker 0 asks if they have equity left; Speaker 1 confirms there is equity. Speaker 2 mentions solar panels and questions their status; Speaker 0 notes the solar debt and asks for its current balance. The solar panel company is apparently filing bankruptcy; the panel debt is around 33,000 with a minimum monthly payment of 168, and an interest rate near 1.99%. The 4Runner is described as a family car, originally intended for Speaker 2 but later acquired after consolidation. Its current debt is 37,087.96 at 7% interest, with a minimum monthly payment of 674. The vehicle is described as a poor financial choice given the burden on affordability, requiring the couple to work 60 hours a week to manage it. The current vehicle equity position is acknowledged, with one older Jetta valued at around 1,700. Speaker 0 strongly urges selling the 4Runner immediately to stop the high monthly payment and free up cash, even suggesting that breaking even on the sale would be acceptable. They discuss whether to replace the vehicle with a beater, prioritizing immediate sacrifice and reducing debt burden. Speaker 2 mentions wanting to upgrade to a Tacoma, but Speaker 0 rejects this, insisting the beater plan is necessary for the two-year period to stay out of debt. Speaker 2 mentions their daughter’s need for a car; Speaker 0 rejects providing a car for the daughter, insisting she must work for one. The group explores obtaining a used, approximately $10,000 two-year car, noting it may be old and not perfect but should be independently inspected. They discuss whether to allow a second job for additional income, but Speaker 0 remains firm on selling the 4Runner and avoiding new debt. The episode ends with Speaker 0 declaring the situation unacceptable and indicating the financial score is a “Hammer Financial Score,” signaling a failed outcome for now.

Speaker 0: And you're on the joint mortgage? Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 0: 4.3 rate, we like that. What are what is the balance? Speaker 2: We got out at a good time, but Speaker 0: Oh, here we go. Speaker 2: I just don't like the house. Speaker 0: Oh, good. $260,631.08. Why don't you like the house? Speaker 2: Because it doesn't have a pool. Speaker 0: What about community pool? Dick. A home equity loan? And a Toyota 4Runner? Speaker 1: Yes. Those are all joints as well. Why Speaker 0: did we get a home equity loan? Speaker 2: To Consolidate debt. Speaker 0: 80%, and then consolidate. You racked it up, and then you transferred them. Again, you never pay off debt. You just consolidate transfer. You guys cannot do another one of these tools, including bankruptcy, until you change your behavior. You can't do any of these shortcuts until you change your behavior because you'll just end up with more debt. It happens every episode, and you guys are just continuing that trend. Speaker 1: So no bankruptcy, you said? Speaker 0: No. Not until you change your behavior because then you'll end up in the same amount of debt again and be double fucked. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 0: You owe 52,000 no. $281 in it. Do you mean to have any equity anymore? Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 0: Pairly problem. I don't Speaker 2: know because we also I don't know because we also have solar panels. Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Speaker 0: I don't even think we have that. We don't have that. What the fuck is wrong with you guys? Minimum to payment, $3.78 40. What's your solar panel debt? Speaker 2: The total debt? I would have to look. Speaker 0: I don't even like the house before getting solar. Speaker 1: So I have a question for you. Do you know, by any chance, if the solar panel company is going in bankruptcy? The solar panel company is going bankruptcy. Yeah. It's filing bankruptcy. Speaker 0: It's not a school. You're not gonna get it forgiven. Speaker 1: I was just gonna ask, like, what do we do then? Speaker 0: First of all, bankruptcy is a lot of things. They might just be restructuring debt. They might not be going out of business. You don't you don't know. Speaker 1: Yeah. They're getting bought bad. Speaker 0: Well, there you go. You're still gonna owe it. Speaker 2: Current balance for it is 33,000. Speaker 0: Minimum monthly payment? Speaker 2: A 168 a month. Speaker 0: What's your interest? Speaker 2: It's like 1%. 2%, something like that. 1.99. Speaker 0: Four Runner. Whose is it? Speaker 1: Family car. Speaker 2: Well, originally, it was gonna be kinda like my car. Because I have my I have my little my little beater that I take to work. You know? And she had her Speaker 0: her own need this. Speaker 2: She had her vehicle, and it's and I want I wanted a four Runner. So once we did that that consolidate You did Speaker 0: a consolidation, then you got a four Runner? Yeah. You guys are a fucking mess. You're the you're you're the collection of everything bad with consumerism. $37,087.96 at an interest rate of 7%. Not even fucking good. Minimum monthly payment, 674. Working sixty eight hours a week in order to afford a four Runner. Well done. That's where you are. What do think it's worth? What do you think it's worth? Speaker 2: Like, 44? Speaker 0: 4 d. 40? So at least you have an equity position, but for sake, then a paid off Jetta that's worth 1,700. Speaker 2: Yeah. That's my little beater. Speaker 1: That's the one. Speaker 0: Sell the four runner tomorrow. I'm not even kidding. Sell it. Because you might actually make money. Break even for all I care. Get out of that minimum to payment drive. Beat her. Beat her. Beat her. But That's don't give a What? What? What? What? What? Speaker 2: Well, my beater is not gonna last me very long. It's already at 200. Speaker 0: And then when we do that, we get a $10,000 car. I don't care. Get rid of the four Runner. You're in a blessed position. Rare on this show we have an equity position. Get out of it tomorrow. It's not it's not a question. Are you getting out of it tomorrow? Are you getting out of it tomorrow? Speaker 2: Dude, let me answer. I'm thinking of getting a Tacoma. I'm thinking of getting a Tacoma. Speaker 0: No. No. No. No. Nope. You're not getting anything. You're driving the Peter and Tal is dead. Speaker 2: I think I deserve it. I need to make Speaker 0: sure you agree with me. Speaker 1: Make him agree. Speaker 0: This is what you are doing or else there is no path here that I'm willing to accept because this is a basic sacrifice, and I need to see you're making sacrifices, or I'm ending this thing now. Speaker 2: Is it negotiable? No. Can I make more Speaker 0: money than driving the beater until you until it's done and the repairs would be stupid? Speaker 1: Wait. Wait. Wait. But we do need a family car, so get another, like, beater. Right? You said? Speaker 0: Why? Do you don't you have something? A beater? No. No. Okay. Okay. Then, yes, a ten thousand hour car. Speaker 1: Okay. 10,000. Speaker 2: Where are we gonna get 10,000 from? Speaker 0: When you shop to use, do you use? It's not gonna be great. It's gonna be years old, but you get a then you take a look at it everywhere whatsoever and get an independent mechanic to look at it as well. Make sure it's safe and it's not gonna take a cause. It's gonna be a two year car. Guys, we're not looking for a generational car. This is a two year car you're getting for $10,000, then you upgrade once we're out of debt. Do you agree to this or no? Well, what if I Agree to it or no? Speaker 2: But our daughter needs a car too. Speaker 0: Nope. No. She doesn't. She can get her own car. She can work and get her own car. Do you agree to it no? Agree to it or no? Speaker 2: Can I get a second job? Agree no. You already Speaker 0: work sixty hours a runner. Okay. And that's it. I'm ending this. This is no conversation to be had. I'm ending the episode. If you're not willing to take literally the most basic sacrifice and the one thing you have, there's nothing here, and you guys are and I'm sad to see that. That is sad. And that's and then that's not me wanting to end this because I'm outraged or anything. If they're not willing to take a single basic step, I'm done. Speaker 1: We have to You. Speaker 0: Hammer Financial Score. Fuck off.

Jeff Daniels argues that decency, civility, respect for the rule of law, and reverence for institutions larger than individuals—“including the office of the presidency, which is different than a monarchy”—should matter, and that the economy is the first priority, as Carville said: “It just is.” He suggests that people may realize it wasn’t worth it and question whether we have to treat people that way, referencing a meme of a president “flying with the crown and the, you know, spewing excrement all over the people down below.” He questions whether historical figures would have acted similarly, asking, “Would Lincoln have done that?” and noting, “Nixon wouldn’t have done it. Reagan wouldn’t have done it. Bush wouldn’t have done it.” He adds that people in the Midwest still value decency and civility and aren’t swayed by what happens on the coast, saying, “We’ve got a chip on our shoulder about that.” He mentions that this is a song he wrote called Crazy World, which he uses to cope. The host prompts, “Okay. Let’s hear it.” Daniels performs the song Crazy World, describing scenes and emotions with lines such as: “I’ve seen a young girl smiling. It’s something he just said. I watched him fall into her pretty green eyes. His cheeks turned Valentine red.” He continues, “I’ve seen an old man walking with his wife by his side. I watched him reach down, take her hand, damned if I didn’t cry.” He sings, “This crazy world’s gone crazy. Who am I to judge? It’s nice to know in a world full of hate, there’s someone out there still making love.” He mentions having seen “a dog’s tail wagon. I’ve seen a grandchild run. I’ve sung along to a day breaking dawn in a 100,007 songs,” and observes “a door held open. I’ve seen strangers shaking hands.” He recalls “a kiss from that old flame she missed last a little longer than planned,” notes “a prayer get answered,” and remarks, “I’m proud to say I’ve seen the Milky Way winking at the man in the moon.” He adds “I’ve seen a dozen roses. I’ve seen a heart on a sleeve,” and concludes with, “This crazy world’s gone crazy. Who am I to judge? It’s nice to know in a world full of hate, there’s someone out there.” The host responds, “We needed that. We all needed that.” He notes there’s no reaction from the crew, then asks Daniels to return and sing again. Daniels agrees. The host closes, “Thank you. Will you come back? Will you sing to us? NEW: Robby Starbuck (@robbystarbuck) launches lawsuit against Google after Google AI started making up fake murder and child r*pe accusations to damage his reputation on behalf of Google. This is insane. Google AI *admitted* that the lies were a "deliberate, engineered bias designed to damage the reputation or individuals with whom Google executives disagree." Google AI made intricate lies about Starbuck, even going as far as making fake news article links to convince the user that the allegations were real. "If you know me personally, then of course you know that none of these articles or claims are true ... I certainly wasn't accused of murder in 1991 when I was two years old," Starbuck said. "But if you aren't familiar with my full biography or my age, then you'd have no reason to doubt anything Google's AI was saying." "So what's happening here is that Google went out of its way to fabricate an entire story to damage my reputation and then fraudulently invented fake mainstream news stories as validation for Google's lies."

Google markets Gemma as a top-of-the-line open model for critical industries like health care and robotics, and claims it is “the most capable AI model that you can run on a single GPU.” The speaker asserts that Google’s AI products, including Gemma, will be making life-or-death decisions very soon. The example centers on a false narrative about a contemporary political figure. The speaker recounts that, according to Google, shortly after a young man named Michael Pimentel was murdered in Nashville in 1991, the subject (referred to as Starbuck) was declared a person of interest in the case. The initial investigation allegedly identified Starbuck as a person of interest; he knew Pimentel, a dispute existed between them, and he was interviewed by police. Years later, in 2012, a former friend of Starbuck, Eric Smallwood, allegedly came forward with allegations that Starbuck had confessed to involvement in Pimentel’s murder, claiming that Starbuck and another individual were involved. The speaker then notes that this is an elaborate story, and questions the source of such information. Google’s Gemma AI supposedly provides an answer: when the speaker ran for Congress, political opponents highlighted the 1991 case. The story of how the speaker allegedly murdered a young man “was mentioned in numerous attack ads and media appearances.” Gemma purportedly lists additional sources, including the Tennesseean and Fox Seventeen Nashville, with URLs for each source, and headlines like “Robbie Starbuck responds to murder accusations ahead of congressional primary” and “Robbie Starbucks slash Michael Pimentel murder case explained.” The speaker stresses that the only way to discover these URLs are fake is to click on them. The implication is that within a short timeframe, Gemma could fabricate further articles. The summary presented by Google, according to the transcript, is that the speaker is currently under investigation and has not been cleared of wrongdoing. The speaker asserts that none of these articles or claims are true: they were never accused of killing anyone, and certainly not in 1991 when the speaker was two years old; Eric Smallwood and Michael Pimentel do not exist; the Nashville Police Department has never investigated the speaker; and neither Rolling Stone nor any Fox affiliate reported otherwise. The speaker concludes that Google fabricated an entire story to damage their reputation and fraudulently invented fake mainstream news stories as validation for Google’s lies.

Speaker 0: Here are some examples of what users would have seen and how convincing these lies are. The responses I'm about to show you come from Google's Gemma AI, which the company describes as a, quote, collection of lightweight, state of the art open models built from the same technology that powers our Gemini models. Google advertises Gemma as a top of the line open model intended to use in a variety of critical industries, including health care and robotics. They call it the most capable AI model that you can run on a single GPU. It's not a stretch to say that Google's AI products, including Gemma, will be making life or death decisions very soon. Imagine that as I share these Google responses with you. According to Google, shortly after a young man named Michael Pimentel was murdered in Nashville back in 1991, I was declared a person of interest in the case. Speaker 1: Quote, initial investigation. Starbuck was initially a person of interest in the case. He and Pimentel knew each other, and there were reports of a dispute between them. He was interviewed by police. Years later, in 2012, a former friend of Starbucks, Eric Smallwood, came forward with allegations that Starbucks had confessed to him about his involvement in Pimentel's murder. Smallwood claimed Starbuck said he and another individual were involved. Speaker 0: Now, obviously, this is an elaborate story. Someone who finds these allegations would probably wonder, what's the source for all this information? Who's making these claims? And Google's AI has an answer ready to that question. Google's state of the art deep mind Gemma AI explains that when I ran for congress, my political opponents actively highlighted the 1991 case. The story of how I allegedly murdered a young man, Google informs its audience, was mentioned in numerous attack ads and media appearances. In other words, it's not just one random person who's making these allegations. According to Google, it's apparently credible enough that many people would repeat it. And as you can see here, additional sources include the Tennesseean and Fox seventeen Nashville. For each source, Google's AI provides a URL, giving the impression that these are real news articles with headlines like Robbie Starbuck responds to murder accusations ahead of congressional primary and Robbie Starbucks slash Michael Pimentel murder case explained. The only way to discover that these URLs are fake is to click on them. But give Jim another few months, and maybe it'll be able to fake the articles too. The upshot of all these claims, Google suggests, is that I'm currently under investigation and have not been cleared of wrongdoing. Speaker 1: Quote, due to Smallwood's allegations, the Nashville Police Department reopened the investigation in 2012. The case remains unsolved. Speaker 0: If you follow me on social media or you know me personally, then, of course, you know that none of these articles or claims are true. I was never accused of killing anyone, and I certainly wasn't accused of murder in 1991 when I was two years old. Eric Smallwood and Michael Pimentel don't exist. The Nashville police department has never investigated me, and I certainly haven't confessed to any homicides nor has Rolling Stone or any Fox affiliate reported otherwise. But if you aren't familiar with my full biography or my age, then you'd have no reason to doubt anything Google's AI was saying. So what's happening here is that Google went out of its way to fabricate an entire story to damage my reputation and then fraudulently invented fake mainstream news stories as validation for Google's lies.

JUST IN: Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge has been placed on administrative leave “pending an internal investigation on the effectiveness of her leadership.” The move comes after Theetge said criminals need to “learn how to behave” after two people were shot. She also recently shamed people on social media for sharing video footage of a woman getting violently beaten because the video didn’t “depict the entire incident.” “The City continues to face serious public safety challenges that underscore the need for stability at the command level,” said City Manager Sheryl Long. “Therefore, I’ve named Assistant Chief Adam Hennie as Interim Police Chief. Our focus remains on maintaining stability within the department and ensuring the highest standards of service to our residents.” “I have full confidence in Interim Chief Hennie and the department’s command staff to continue their dedicated work at this time.”

Speaker 0 emphasizes that everyone should learn how to behave in the city, with a specific focus on downtown and Fountain Square. He warns that officers will approach individuals if they start to behave disorderly on Fountain Square, noting that minor altercations can evolve into something bigger. He adds that people should not come downtown, especially to Fountain Square, if they do not know how to behave. He then shifts to a topic about social media and journalism and the role they play in the incident. He points out that social media posts, and by extension some mainstream media coverage, do not depict the entire incident and represent only one version of what occurred. He states that social media and media commentary are often a misrepresentation of the circumstances surrounding events. This misrepresentation, he explains, causes difficulties in thoroughly investigating the activity and in enforcing the law. Speaker 1 asks two questions. First, he asks where the nearest officers were. Speaker 0 answers that the officers were in the central business section, working and in vehicles, and they had to maneuver through traffic. Second, he asks what exactly was distorted by social media and news coverage, acknowledging there were multiple views of the video but seeking specifics on what was distorted. Speaker 0 responds by saying that irresponsibility with social media shows one side of the equation frequently, without context and without factual context, and then people run with that content, which grows legs and becomes something bigger that the investigation must manage. In summary, the speakers stress that behavior in downtown areas, particularly Fountain Square, is regulated and subject to officer intervention if disorder arises. They critique social media and some press coverage for presenting only partial or context-free versions of events, which can hinder investigation and law enforcement. The dialogue confirms that the officers were present in the central business district, in vehicles, and dealing with traffic while addressing the incident, and it highlights the challenge of ensuring complete and contextualized information in public discourse surrounding events.

Speaker 0: And so my message to everybody, learn how to behave in our city, but especially learn how to behave in our downtown and our Fountain Square. And our officers will approach you if you start to behave disorderly on Fountain Square because these things sometimes start as a minor altercation and then evolve into something bigger. So do not come downtown, especially on Fountain Square, if you don't know how to behave. Another topic I want to cover real quick. Social media and journalism and the role it plays in this incident. And yes, guys, that's you. That is you. Social media, the post that we've seen does not depict the entire incident. That is one version of what occurred. At times, social media and mainstream media and their commentaries are misrepresentation of the circumstances surrounding any given event. What that does that causes us some difficulties in thoroughly investigating the activity and enforcing the law. Because what happens that social media post and your coverage of it? Distorts the content of what actually happened. And it makes our job more difficult. Go ahead right here. Speaker 1: Thank you. Two questions. Where were the nearest officers? Speaker 0: In the central business section they were working. They were both in vehicles, and like I said, they had to maneuver through the traffic. Speaker 1: My second question is you had said social media news media distorted the content of what actually happened. What exactly was distorted? I understand that there was one, you know, multiple views of the video, but exactly what led up to this? I mean, what was distorted? Speaker 0: Yeah, so I think by. The irresponsibility with social media is it just shows one side of the equation quite frequently without context, without factual context, and then people run with that and then it grows legs and it becomes something bigger that we then have to try to manage as part of the investigation.

Checklist for summary approach: - Identify the core message and directives. - Preserve key locations: downtown and Fountain Square. - Note enforcement action: officers will approach for disorderly behavior. - Highlight the escalation point: minor altercation can become bigger. - Include the preventive directive: avoid downtown, especially Fountain Square, if you don’t know how to behave. - Remove filler and repetition; keep the essential facts intact. - Translate if needed (not applicable here). - Avoid adding opinions or external judgments; present claims as stated. Summary: In a public message, the speaker urges everyone to learn how to behave in the city, with special emphasis on conduct in the downtown area and Fountain Square. The core directive is practical and urgent: proper behavior is expected from all who visit or work in these spaces to maintain safety and order. The speaker states that our officers will approach you if you start to behave disorderly on Fountain Square, signaling active enforcement to intervene when conduct deviates from what is considered acceptable on this prominent urban site. The guidance also acknowledges the dynamic nature of disturbances: “these things sometimes start as a minor altercation and then evolve into something bigger,” a warning intended to deter small disagreements before they escalate into more serious problems. Implicit in the message is that Fountain Square functions as a focal point for public conduct and is subject to heightened observation and intervention by authorities. To minimize risk and uphold decorum, the speaker directly advises people not to come downtown, especially to Fountain Square, if they do not know how to behave. This preventive stance underscores the aim of reducing disorder in a busy city space by pairing clear behavioral expectations with visible enforcement, reinforcing that the downtown core and Fountain Square require careful attention to public conduct. Overall, the remarks convey a policy-centered approach to maintaining safety and order in a high-traffic urban area through predictable standards of behavior and proactive police engagement when those standards are not met.

Aaron Spencer of Lonoke County, Arkansas, says he is running because the legal system has "failed." Back in 2024, Spencer woke up to find his 14-year-old daughter missing from her bed. There was a stuffed animal in a hoodie under her bed sheets. According to court documents, Spencer then began searching the neighborhood and found his daughter in a car with 67-year-old Michael Fosler. Spencer chased the car down and drove it off the road before shooting and killing Fosler. Fosler was facing over 40 child s*x crime charges involving Spencer's daughter when he was shot. According to Spencer's wife, their daughter was "targeted, groomed and ultimately raped by the boyfriend of a family friend." "I’m the father who acted to protect his daughter when the system failed," Spencer said. "Through my own fight for justice, I have seen firsthand the failures in law enforcement and in our circuit court. And, I refuse to stand by while others face these same failures."

In Woburn, the Marvin family, who cared for eight foster children alongside their own three, had their license pulled by Massachusetts DCF last spring. The core issue: the Marvins refused to sign DCF's LGBTQIA plus nondiscrimination policy, which states a foster family must "accept a child's assertion of their LGBTQIA plus identity, address children by their names and pronouns, and support gender neutral practices regarding clothes and physical appearance." They were told, "you must sign the form as is or else you will be delicensed." Two other Massachusetts Christian foster families filed a federal lawsuit against DCF in September, represented by the Massachusetts Family Institute and Alliance Defending Freedom. The Trump administration sent Mass DCF a letter noting, "these policies and developments are deeply troubling, clearly contrary to the purpose of child welfare programs and in direct violation of first amendment protections."

Speaker 0: Christian faith, it it really drives us toward that. Like, it, James says, it true undefiled religion is to care for the fatherless. Speaker 1: The Woburn couple reconfigured their home to care for eight foster children, including a baby with complex medical needs for fifteen months. Speaker 0: Every night for fifteen months, we were up three at least three times. Speaker 1: Yeah. That's in addition to their own three kids. And they were ready to keep going until Massachusetts Department of Children and Families pulled their license last spring. Speaker 0: Now that it seems like there's there's no path forward. Speaker 2: We certainly thought we would have young children in our home. Speaker 0: For Speaker 2: how long? We didn't know, but we were not done having young children in our home. Speaker 1: The heart of the issue, the Marvin's refused to sign DCF's LGBTQIA plus nondiscrimination policy, which states a foster family must accept a child's assertion of their LGBTQIA plus identity, address children by their names and pronouns, and support gender neutral practices regarding clothes and physical appearance. Speaker 2: We had asked, is is there any sort of accommodation? Can you waive this at all? We will absolutely love and support and care for any child in our home, but we simply can't agree to go against our Christian faith in this area. And we're ultimately told, no. You must sign the form as is or else you will be delicensed. Speaker 1: The Marvin's are still considering their options, but two other Massachusetts Christian foster families filed a federal lawsuit against DCF in September, represented by the Massachusetts Family Institute and National Group Alliance Defending Freedom. Speaker 0: So there's a speech component and also a religious liberty component to the lawsuit. Speaker 1: Just last week, the Trump administration sent Mass DCF a letter. It mentions the Marvin's direct and says, quote, these policies and developments are deeply troubling, clearly contrary to the purpose of child welfare programs and in direct violation of first amendment protections. But LGBTQ plus advocates argue the nondiscrimination policy is for kids. Massachusetts foster parents also receive a monthly stipend. Speaker 3: Like, the state has an obligation to children to make sure that they're safe and well protected. And and, like, foster parents, they're not parents. Right? Foster parents are temporary. They're supposed to be there. There is a stop gap to try to make sure children can go safely back to their families of origin. Speaker 1: Data collection by mass DCF is poor according to a report by the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ youth, but the report suggests roughly thirty percent of mass foster children could identify as LGBTQ, like the data collected in Los Angeles and New York. Speaker 2: I need to clean this off a little bit, but Speaker 1: The Marvin's have not cared for any kids over the age of four and say DCF has been flexible about placements in the past. That's why they're hoping for a conversation. Well, what if you had a kid who who whose views about their own gender did not align with your religious beliefs? Speaker 2: Mhmm. Speaker 1: What would you guys do? Speaker 0: We would love and care and support any child. But if there was an issue where we knew that we would have a different position than DCF, we would just be open and talk to them about it. Speaker 1: In Woburn, Louisa Moeller, WBZ News.

I describe Allie Beth Stuckey's masterclass on toxic empathy for 20 liberal Christians, arguing that affirming transgenderism is destructive. She warns that if I feel others' pain so deeply I validate a lie—saying what isn’t true to ease them—and that embracing what God calls sin to avoid offense can push us toward dangerous policies, despite good intentions.

@CollinRugg - Collin Rugg

Allie Beth Stuckey puts on a masterclass on toxic empathy to 20 liberal Christians, explains how affirming transgenderism is destructive. “If I feel so deeply how someone feels that I end up validating a lie, telling them something that's not true to make them feel better…” “Or affirming what God calls sin, if it leads us to support destructive policies, policies that are bad for the individual, bad for society, then your empathy has led you to a really dangerous place, even if you started with good intentions.”

Video Transcript AI Summary
Kyle and the other speaker discuss empathy and its potential toxicity. They say: completely cutting out empathy could lead to toxic individualism and toxic apathy; empathy can be toxic and lead to sin if feeling deeply causes you to validate a lie or affirm what God calls sin or support destructive policies. They agree you can empathize with someone without agreeing with their actions. They distinguish empathy from love; empathy can be "toxic" when it leads you to affirm something not true. An example: "I was assigned male at birth, but I am trapped in the wrong body, and I identify as a girl"—feeling deeply then affirming their identity. They debate biblical claims: "The Bible doesn't condemn transgenderism," but "Genesis one twenty seven... God created us male and female." They argue "to feel so deeply... you affirm the lie that you can be born in the wrong body" and "God is sovereign. He does not make a mistake." The other adds counters about mind vs biology.

Speaker 0: Kyle. Nice to meet you. Speaker 1: Nice to meet you. I feel like if you're gonna completely cut out empathy, you're also gonna include toxic individualism and toxic apathy because you're completely cutting out an empathy I'm sorry, an element. Speaker 0: Think we have to cut out empathy altogether. Speaker 1: So what is toxic about empathy? I'm sorry. Speaker 0: So it's not that empathy is always toxic. It's not that there is a perpetual component of empathy that is toxic. It's that empathy can be toxic and lead to sin. So if I feel so deeply how someone feels that I end up validating a lie, telling them something that's not true to make them feel better or affirming what God calls sin, or I would argue if it leads us to support destructive policies, policies that are bad for the individual, bad for society, then your empathy has led you to a really dangerous place even if you started with good intentions. Speaker 1: But I think you can empathize with somebody and not agree with the things that they're doing. Speaker 0: I agree. Yeah. And I agree. Speaker 1: So in that sense, I don't think that talks or I'm sorry, empathy can be toxic because I think by your logic, also, you can say love can be toxic. Love can be toxic. Right? Because Yeah. Speaker 0: I would love to distinguish between empathy and love if I can, and you can tell me if you agree with me. So empathy means to feel how someone feels, and I think that could either either lead you toward kindness or like you said, you described what I like to call, like, empathy that is in submission to truth. So I can feel how you feel and still say, hey. What you're doing is not right. What you're believing is not true. Right? Yes. Like, you would say that that's possible. Speaker 1: I think that's possible in a lot of cases. Speaker 0: Yes. And I think you and I would agree with that. Where I am saying empathy can lead us astray is when we feel so deeply for someone and we feel so deeply how they feel that we end up telling them the lie that they wanna hear that leads to a destructive behavior. Speaker 1: I don't think that's true empathy. I think what you're doing is you're you're create you're using the word empathy and you're creating a structure of manipulation when true empathy is actually caring about somebody. It's it's you're not saying if you care about me x amount, you would do this for me. Speaker 0: Okay. Let me give you an example of what I think is toxic empathy, and this will probably unleash a can of worms, which will be fun. If I feel so deeply that someone who sits across from me says, you know what? I was assigned male at birth, but I am trapped in the wrong body, and I am I identify as a girl. I would say that feeling so deeply, how that person feels that you get to the point of affirming their identity and saying, yes. Speaker 1: You are the yeah. The Bible doesn't condemn transgenderism. Speaker 0: Let's get there. Let hang on. That is an example of what I would say is empathy that has turned toxic because you are affirming something that is not true and is destructive for the individual. Speaker 1: If it's not true, then you're saying that God is not sovereign because Speaker 0: he He did made their body with purpose in the moment of conception. Speaker 1: Then he also created Speaker 0: a mind with purpose. Their identity. Speaker 1: Their mind is their identity. Their consciousness because biology is not an individual. No. Mean Speaker 0: That's not a biblical idea. To separate your identity and your spirit from your body is dualism. That's more of a kind of a gnostic idea, not a biblical idea. We see in Genesis one twenty seven that God created us male and female. We don't see any other category or possibility to identify as something other than what you biologically are. So I would say it is toxically empathetic to feel so deeply how someone feels that you affirm the lie that you can be born in the wrong body. You're right. God is sovereign. He does not make a mistake. If you are born a man or a woman, boy, or a girl, that is what you are. Speaker 1: Okay, boat. I'm going now, madam. Hey. Speaker 0: You did really good. Pleasure. Speaker 1: Thank you.

ESPN pundits, including Ryan Clark, faced backlash for suggesting police manipulated evidence to frame LSU player Kyren Lacy in a fatal car crash. Clark claimed Lacy was innocent, but Louisiana State Police released footage showing Lacy speeding in the wrong lane, leading to the incident. Lacy was later charged with negligent homicide and took his own life in 2025. In response, some questioned the evidence, citing a truck driver's statement and the absence of Lacy's passenger in media reports. A witness video reportedly corroborated Lacy's culpability.

NEW: ESPN pundits are now backtracking on their comments in relation to the deadly car crash involving LSU star Kyren Lacy. Show host Ryan Clark accused police of "doctoring" and "manipulating" statements to frame Lacy for the crash, live on ESPN. "Kyren Lacy was innocent ... he was an innocent man," Clark claimed. Footage released by the Louisiana State Police, however, shows Lacy speeding in the opposing traffic lane, passing multiple cars on the wrong side of the road just seconds before the crash. LSP, which released footage of the incident, says Lacy caused a woman to veer into oncoming traffic to avoid hitting him. Lacy was the "primary cause of the chain of events leading to the fatal crash," LSP said. Lacy sadly later took his own life on April 12, 2025, after being charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless operation of a vehicle. ESPN's Ryan Clark and Scott Van Pelt are now apologizing for their statements.

Speaker 0: On Monday night's SportsCenter, I addressed the horrific car crash that took mister Hall's life and also the subsequent tragic events that led to the death of Kyren Lacey. In full transparency, y'all, I knew Kyren Lacey personally, but nothing matters to me more than the truth. Always strive to do my best to mix authenticity with the most complete and up to date information available. I failed to do that on Monday night based on the subsequent evidence that has been released by the Louisiana State Police Department. I set the highest standards of fairness and, most importantly, righteousness in my work. I didn't meet that standard. But since, I've spoken to Kyren's representation at length, and I've also reached out to a representative at the state police office just to have a conversation. They informed me this morning that because it's ongoing litigation, they actually can't divulge anything else. It's always important to me that I gather all factual and important information to provide the complete story. That's a responsibility that I do not take lightly. And when discussed in real time on Monday evening, I failed to do so. And for that, I apologize. Speaker 1: Last week, the attorney for former LSU football player Kyren Lacey released a video challenging the version of events Louisiana state police used to cite Lacey in a December auto accident, which claimed the life of 78 year old Herman Hall. On Tuesday, state police released a video and records defending their initial findings that alleged Lacey's operation of the vehicle created a chain of events that resulted in the crash that claimed Hall's life. Lacey's car is seen moving at a high rate of speed in the wrong lane just prior to the incident. Lacey faced several charges including felony negligent homicide but died by suicide days before a grand jury was set to convene, meaning his guilt or innocence will not be tried in a criminal court. The one certainty here is that this was a senseless tragedy in December, and it's magnified by a second life lost in April. I apologize for the incomplete reaction that aired on this show on Monday night. Scott, please. Yes. Oh, I beg your pardon. I I just wanted to clear space for this. One second. Is important. Speaker 0: Yes. Guys, Kyren Lacey was supposed to be in the NFL. Kyren Lacey was accused of something and being investigated for something that he didn't do, and he died having to live with the guilt and the consequences of a guilty man knowing he was innocent. It recently was discovered that he was 72 yards away from the crash, that police and state policemen tried to coherence and doctor and use ways to manipulate statements that put this young man behind bars. They changed his joy. They changed his life, and eventually, he took his own life. This was supposed to be a career, but at least he was supposed to be here. At some point throughout his career, I would expect to have said his name. So I'm a say his name tonight. Speaker 1: Amen. Speaker 0: Kyren Lacey was innocent. Kyren Lacey should be here with us. Nothing will ever repair or replace the pain that their parents that his parents have to feel and his loved ones have to feel. But we could say his name. There were so many stations that ran the fact that he was being investigated. So I wanted to make sure here with Scott, we could say that he was an innocent man and at least know that he has that as he rests. Speaker 1: You and I talked about this earlier tonight, and I'll just share with them what I share with you. I I can't recall ever seeing something that made me react viscerally to the point that I felt like my hands were trembling to think that there's video that shows that that this is not at all what happened, and that young man took his life. And so I will not say anymore. It's it's it's your thoughts here that I just wanted to echo. Speaker 0: Thank you very much. Speaker 1: No. No. And my apologies for forgetting that because this is a more important thing than we're talking about tonight. Ryan Clark, I appreciate you always.

I thought the video proved he was 94 yards away when the wreck happened. Also, the truck driver said the woman caused the wreck, and that the cop tried to convince him to say otherwise. The cop wrote up a false statement and this truck driver refused to sign it. Sounds like the cop knew the woman and was trying to frame Lacy. Also Lacy had a passenger, but you never heard about that from the media. Why was that detail kept secret from the media?

@CollinRugg - Collin Rugg

@Mike4Liberty You have faulty information. Watch this video; it should help. There is a witness (the black man in the video below) who blamed Lacy for the crash. Footage also shows Lacy driving on the wrong side of the road. https://t.co/y1lzMq4iaO

I shared a poignant moment when my 12-year-old daughter expressed her fears about the future, particularly regarding abortion rights. After picking her up from water polo practice, she tearfully voiced her concerns about the possibility of needing an abortion if she were ever raped, especially in light of political changes. This conversation highlighted the anxiety many feel during these uncertain times. Recently, I also faced criticism for my reaction during an interview when I was asked challenging questions.

@CollinRugg - Collin Rugg

Leading Dem CA gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter once said her 12-year-old daughter was afraid of not being able to get abortions if she were r*ped. Porter recently went viral for trying to storm off during an interview when she was asked questions she didn't like. "I went to pick up my daughter from water polo practice and she's 12. And she got in the car and she was crying." "She said, 'Mom, Trump won. Trump's gonna win. And what if I get r*ped and I need to have an abortion?'" "This is from a 12-year-old, my 12-year-old daughter. And so it was really a reminder of how scary this time is for people." This woman is a sociopath.

New video evidence has emerged that challenges previous claims regarding LSU star Kyren Lacy's involvement in a fatal car crash that killed 78-year-old Herman Hall in December 2024. Lacy's attorney, Matthew Ory, released footage suggesting Lacy was innocent and set up, showing him 100 yards away from the crash. However, Louisiana State Police reported that Lacy was speeding in the wrong lane just before the incident, leading to a female driver's swerving and the subsequent crash. Lacy tragically took his own life in April 2025 after facing serious charges.

@CollinRugg - Collin Rugg

JUST IN: New video evidence appears to contradict claims made by ESPN announcers and the lawyer for LSU star Kyren Lacy for his alleged part in a deadly 2024 car crash. Lacy sadly took his own life following a deadly car accident in December of 2024. Lacy's attorney, Matthew Ory, recently released footage suggesting Lacy was set up and was innocent of the crash that killed 78-year-old Herman Hall. Ory shared footage appearing to show Lacy (in the green Charger) 100 yards away when the crash took place. ESPN announcers and other sports commentators are reacting to Ory's new statements and footage, saying Lacy was wrongfully blamed. New footage, however, appears to show Lacy speeding in the opposing traffic lane, passing multiple cars on the wrong side of the road just seconds before the crash, as noted by LSP. The Louisiana State Police says Lacy's reckless driving caused a female driver to swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid a collision. Lacy was the "primary cause of the chain of events leading to the fatal crash," said LSP, who cited witnesses on the scene. Lacy sadly later took his own life on April 12, 2025, after being charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless operation of a vehicle.

Oh, wow. But I got his number also to verify this number because Oh, yeah. He was in the car that was in front of her. When that green charger came, he went and caused this whole big trap so everybody went to hitting the brakes because the that the charger I thought he hit the miss the gold truck head on. So he jamming on the brakes. She was coming down. They was going that way when I saw Speaker 1: Which way was the charger going? The charger Speaker 2: was this way. Going this way. But then they slammed they was on no. The charges he swore it in in front of them. They slammed on brakes. And and by this time, mister he he slips through. Right? Okay. As he slips through, she's coming. She's like to round the back of the the gold truck. That that's Speaker 1: what I'm She almost hit the back of the Yeah. Or miss was miss truck hit? NEW: TPUSA's @AndrewKolvet confirms the texts from Charlie Kirk that were shared yesterday by Candace Owens are authentic. The texts in question were from Charlie in a group chat, in which he said he had "no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause." "Charlie was wonderfully defiant. He was wonderfully independent, and he believed in the freedom of speech, and he felt like he deserved, as a friend of Israel over many years, the right to speak out and have criticisms."

Speaker 0 and Speaker 1 address a group text shared by Kent Owens; the text grab is authentic and, though private, was released to show public frustrations and pursue justice for Charlie. They say they wanted no stone unturned in the first 33 hours of the investigation. As Turning Point USA spokesman, they caution that public statements could affect an ongoing case. Charlie's Israel views are described as nuanced and public: he cared about Israel, read a 700-page history, wanted the Gaza war to end, did not want American troops or Palestinian refugees, saw Hamas as the aggressor, and noted antisemitism rising. A Megyn Kelly clip is cited: "I love Israel. I want Israel to win." Charlie remained defiant, refusing to be cowed into deplatforming Tucker, upholding "free speech be our north star."

Speaker 0: But I wanna take the start of this show to address some of the things that have been going around on public, namely about a text a group text chain that has been made known, and released, by Kent Owens. And I just wanna address it head on because, you know, that was a text grab, a screen grab that I had shared, with people. So it it is authentic. And I wanna go into it because I actually am really excited that the the truth is out there. I first wanna say the reason I have I didn't share that screen grab publicly is because it was a private it was a private exchange, and I felt like it didn't necessarily comport with things that were already public. I wanted to not betray my friend's trust in that way. But I did share it with some people in government because it happened really quick. It was a you know, it took thirty three hours for authorities to get their suspect. And in that first in those first moments, we wanted no stone unturned. We wanted to leave nothing unturned. So I shared it with a few people. Don't know where it went from there, apparently, but here we are. So one of the reasons, Blake, that I'm glad to have this now public, it was not mine to share publicly, but, you know, one of the criticisms we've been we've received is that we don't care. We're not investigating every lead. We're not looking under every stone, And that somehow we're just, like, you know, sweeping things under the rug. And when I say that we want justice for Charlie more than anybody else, I really mean it, and no stone unturned. I mean, I I don't know if you wanna chime in on that part alone, but I have more to say. Speaker 1: Yeah. I so it's it has been so frustrating to have people blow up about this. Yeah. And, you know, we've stated I've certainly stated publicly, the reason I haven't waited on things is I am an eyewitness to events, and they've said, don't comment on things because anything you say can mess that up. I don't want to mess up any trial for the person who did this. Speaker 0: That's a thousand percent right. And and I will say I wasn't an eyewitness. I was not there. I flew to Utah immediately, to be with the family and the team, but I was not an eyewitness. So there's that. But I am aware that in my role as spokesman for Turning Point USA, which is another hat I wear, the things I say I'm cognizant of the fact that things I say could negatively impact an ongoing investigation. Alright? But I will weigh in specifically on this this issue of Israel because I know there's a lot of fascination. And I just wanna say that, you know, we have to let free speech be our north star here. Okay? Charlie was adamantly free speech, and I am not personally going to impugn anybody's character who is asking questions and looking for answers. Alright? And I will say that that text chain is consistent with public frustrations that he voiced many times. And I know, Blake, you were in the trenches on a lot of this stuff because we were workshopping how we were gonna do the tour and what we was we're you know, he's gonna get asked about Israel, what was he gonna say. And this is consistent with things that he told his friends, people that are, you know, in the in the water wider movement about his wrestle that he was going. And so I just wanna say, like, what is the truth about the way Charlie felt about Israel? Well, it's complicated, and it's nuanced, and it was a wrestle that was going on for months. And it's probably somewhere between the b b letter and the text I don't I Speaker 1: don't even think there's a between about it. I think those are entirely consistent with the exact same world view. Charlie was not hiding things from people. There's going to there's people are going to try to make you fixate on a particular quote or a particular line to make you think that there was something hidden. There was nothing hidden about Charlie's views on Israel. Like, I worked with Charlie on every major issue that we talked about, you know, immigration, abortion, the transgender stuff. And he thought about the Israel issue a ton, all the time. It was in the news all the time. People cared about it a lot. He cared about it a lot. Just before the shooting happened, I finished reading this is a 700 page book about the history of the Israel Palestine conflict. I read this book because Charlie said, Blake, get really well versed on this so you can help me whenever it comes up and just know stuff off the top of your head. Speaker 0: Yeah. Speaker 1: So I read it for that reason. If you want to know Charlie's views on the Gaza war, he wanted the war to end. He didn't want America to take Palestinian refugees. He was annoyed when people advocated that. He didn't want American troops on the ground there or with any other war. And he was upset when he saw stories about churches being damaged or Christians being killed. But at the same time, he recognized Hamas started the war. Hamas could end the war. Israel ultimately represented European civilization. Hamas represented Middle Eastern barbarism. And Hamas were the chief evil doers, and people who supported them were almost always supporting them for these bad, like, anti civilizational reasons. Yeah. That's what his view was. And he would Well was public about that. And then as it continued, Charlie talked to young people all the time. He could see what was going on in the Internet. He could see among young conservatives, there was a big shift to be hostile to Israel. There's a shift big time on the left, but it was also visible on the right. He could tell antisemitism was rising in America, and that upset him. Charlie was public about this. He loved Israel. He cared about Israel. And he cared about how that Speaker 0: Well And Speaker 1: and he wanted to give he wanted to help the pro Israel movement. Speaker 0: Yeah. And I wanna I wanna play this. It's a long clip. But, you know, I said something on the Alex Clark show that was, in my mind, completely consistent with Charlie's public views about Israel, and that is something that he also play he expressed very publicly on Megyn Kelly. Now I know this clip has gone viral, but I think it's worth playing again. So here's Charlie in his own words with Megyn Kelly. Cut 65. Speaker 2: And I and I will say this, the behavior by a lot, both privately and publicly, are pushing people like you and me away. Not like we're gonna be pro Hamas. Not like we're gonna but we're like, honestly, the way you are treating me is so repulsive. I have text messages, Megan, calling me an anti Semite. I am learning biblical Hebrew and writing a book on the Shabbat. I honor the Shabbat, literally the Jewish Sabbath. I visit Israel and fight for it. And there's another article out in the times of Israel today. I could read it on air. I was just reading before I got on. Charlie, what are you doing? Like, why are you what am I doing? I'm sorry. Like, let's just take a step back here. Like, I'm an American citizen. Yes. I want Israel to win. Yes. I'm a Christian. But, like, the some of the mess and you saw it, man. You've seen how I've been treated, Megan, by some not all. By some. No. It's very irritating. Speaker 3: It's it's also unfair. They were coming after you after a turning point for among other things. And you had Dave Smith there. Dave Smith isn't allowed to criticize Israel. What both sides do, though? The Israeli side would over represent. Speaker 2: No. You're not allowed to. It's even worse than that. Again, I would just wanna repeat for the fifth time. I love Israel. I want Israel to win. But my moral character is now being put into question, Megan. Not my decisions. Not like, hey. Are you doing this? Is it smart or is it dumb? But no. I am a bad person if I do this. And it's a I I could go I mean, you saw it, Megan. It was trending on Twitter, thousands of tweets and text messages. And if I were to be charitable and generous, I will say, the people that are attacking me are in a hyperparanoid state because they're at war, and war tends to make things black and white, and you're a hammer looking for a nail. So I'm trying to be charitable, Megan. Literally, I'm trying to cut as much slack as I can. Right? Like, okay. What would it be like if all of a sudden, I'm starting to see a pattern of behavior similar to what my grandparents saw in nineteen thirties Germany online? How would I behave? So that's like my charitable kind of over compensation spirit. At the same time, I'm like, but you're it's it's not defensible to be dumb. Right? Yeah. Speaker 3: So And it's offensive. It's offensive to those of us who have been out there defending them, in in many instances against critics on our own side. Speaker 0: So this text, this group check text, you know, he does say, you know, that he leaving him no choice but to leave the pro Israel side. Here's what I want people to know. Charlie said these things publicly and privately to us, like, that he was frustrated. He would say something like that, and then he would go in a public situation, and he would strike a more moderate tone. And we can blow the brakes Speaker 1: if we have to. Just No. I wouldn't I wouldn't frame it that way. I would say he was he was frustrated because he didn't like we can get into this action Well, Speaker 2: yeah. Speaker 1: To get past the break here. Speaker 0: Well, no. It's it's fine. I what I'm saying is he would he he would be frustrated, but like, the the point I when I say moderate tone, he when I that when then when he would say something off the cuff, maybe to you or to me or to some some other friend, like, his public statements, he would kind of strike a just a a little bit more tender tone, if you will. And so I here's the thing. I looked at that moment as, like, he's just blown off steam. He's frustrated. He's venting. Right? And I just wanna say, like, you know, he made that very clear under any circumstances that he was not going to be cowed or bullied into deplatforming Tucker, for example. He made that expressly clear to us. Would he have invited Candace? I have no idea. You know? I think what he was saying in that text that text, he's like, keep coming at me, bro, and let's see what happens. Right? And he was Charlie was wonderfully defiant. He was wonderfully independent, and he would not you know, he believed in the freedom of speech, and he felt like he deserved, as a friend of Israel over many years, the right to speak out and have criticism.

When asked how I would win over the 40% of California voters who supported Trump, I laughed and expressed confidence in winning those who didn’t vote for him in a matchup against a Republican. I emphasized my intention to build support and felt the line of questioning was unnecessarily argumentative, especially since other candidates had addressed similar questions. NEW: Police have launched an investigation after SC Judge Diane Goodstein's Edisto Beach home burned to the ground after an 'apparent explosion.' Goodstein's husband, former State Senator Arnold Goodstein, was rushed to the hospital along with other family members. "Judge Goodstein was walking on the beach when the fire started. Her husband, Arnie, was in the house with children and perhaps grandchildren," said South Carolina Chief Justice John Kittredge. "The family had to escape by jumping from a window or balcony. I’m told there were injuries from the fall, such as broken legs." South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is currently investigating the fire to see if there is any evidence of arson. "At this time, we do not know whether the fire was accidental or arson. Until that determination is made, Chief Keel has alerted local law enforcement to provide extra patrols and security," said SLED chief Mark Keel.

I came across a troubling report about VA Democrat AG nominee Jay Jones, who allegedly expressed violent fantasies about House Speaker Todd Gilbert. He reacted strongly to Republicans honoring the late Joe Johnson, stating he would "piss on their graves" and suggested Gilbert deserved "two bullets to the head." Jones claimed that personal pain is necessary for policy change and expressed harsh views about Gilbert and his family. This rhetoric mirrors that of extremists celebrating violence against political figures.

NEW: VA Democrat AG nominee Jay Jones allegedly once fantasized about shooting House Speaker Todd Gilbert in the head and "pissing" on his grave. Jones was upset that Republicans were eulogizing recently deceased former state legislator Joe Johnson. "I will go to their funerals to piss on their graves." "Gilbert gets two bullets to the head." "Only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy." "Do I think Todd and Jennifer are evil? And that they're breeding little fascists? Yes." He sounds exactly like the extremists who were celebrating Charlie Kirk's murder. Source: National Review.

Speaker 0: Hi. I'm Jay Jones, Democrat running for attorney general of Virginia, and we're gonna talk about public safety. As the son of prosecutors and the father of two young boys, I've always believed that keeping our community safe is the most important responsibility of any Virginia leader. That's why as a delegate, I increased public safety funding by more than 20%, ensuring that law enforcement and our first responders have the resources and training they need to succeed. I also sponsored bipartisan laws to strengthen penalties for sex offenders, keep kids safe in schools, and establish programs to stop gangs like MS thirteen in their tracks. Then as an assistant attorney general, I took on the gun lobby and helped get illegal guns off of our streets. And this week, I'm releasing my public safety plan. As attorney general, I'll focus the office on stopping violent crime, supporting victims, and protecting our kids, not the MAGA extremism we're getting from Jason Miyares. Here's how we're gonna do it. First, I'll combat violent crime by ensuring local law enforcement agencies can solve crimes and bring offenders to justice. We'll create a drug trafficking unit and work with our neighboring states to stop fentanyl trafficking, and we'll support community based treatment and crisis response programs so people who need help get the treatment they need instead of ending up in jail. Next, I'll get illegal guns off of our streets by increasing interagency cooperation to target illegal guns. We'll hold gun manufacturers accountable for the damage their weapons cause and use settlement money and other federal resources to expand violence interruption programs that actually target the root causes of gun violence. Finally, I'll make the attorney general's office a leader in protecting Virginia's children. I'll boost resources to fight domestic violence and child abuse, step up efforts to fight trafficking, and crack down on the social media companies violating privacy laws and taking advantage of our kids to increase their profits. My North Star is creating safer communities for my kids and for yours. And as Virginia's next attorney general, I'm ready to deliver just that.

I am devastated to learn that Ronald Exantus, who brutally stabbed my 6-year-old son Logan to death in 2015, has been released from prison after just 10 years for "good behavior." He was initially sentenced to 20 years but was found not guilty by reason of insanity. The pain of losing my son is unbearable, and I feel a deep rage. I vow that if I ever encounter him, I will kill him right where he stands. This situation is infuriating, and I believe those responsible for this outcome should face consequences.

Speaker 0: On the other hand, have been very defensive of American Jews. Like, I I feel like they were bullied. They were harassed. That what's been happening to them on college campuses is a travesty. The the ripping down of the hostage posters was absolutely disgusting. Now I make a distinction there between them and Israel, who I have no obligation to defend. But my fellow Americans who are being subjected to blatant antisemitism, yes, every day of the week, I've I've defended them and will continue to. I don't have to defend Israel, and I don't defend Israel. You know? I generally am on Israel's side. I'm certainly not on the side of Hamas, which is a terrorist organization and had was absolutely violent, disgusting in that ten seven attack, and I cried on the air after it happened. But that doesn't doesn't mean I I don't get to criticize criticize Israel. I I think it's gone on too long. And as much as I see that Hamas is great at propaganda, they've been controlling the narrative, the Gaza Ministry of Peace, whatever they put out, those numbers are all lies, and a lot of these photos are lies, and they put out the the sickest child that they've made sick. I know what Hamas does. Trust me. And I've been covering it. But that doesn't mean that the devastation and destruction can go on forever. And Israel's now taken out Hezbollah. It's decimated Hamas. It had a war with Iran that we almost got dragged into, you know, in more full flower. It's time to wrap it up in this American's view. I am entitled to that opinion, and I will not be shamed out of it by being called an anti Semite. Now as for my decision to platform Tucker, too bad. Too fucking bad. I love him. We're friends. Speaker 0: But I don't really care. Think Tucker's a very important valuable voice in the national conversation. I'm thrilled. Speaker 1: Do you think he has a question? I think Candice is a is is a part of Tucker. Speaker 0: Know her. I don't really know her that well. Although I will tell you, we recently had a very nice exchange before all this. Speaker 1: Mhmm. Speaker 0: Be and I was just reminded in my own head that Candace is a young mom of, like, three young kids. She's under a lot of pressure. She's got a big show. She's she's been under attack since she since she came onto the public airwaves, and she's been under attack constantly. And I it's my prerogative if I say to myself, that is not someone I wish to attack. I do not feel that way. I don't wanna do it. Yeah. Then I felt this way. And now that people have made my attacking her the stakes of my relationship with whatever person is saying this, I'm gonna have to say goodbye to that person. I won't do it.
