A.G. Harmeet Dhillon, who spoke with journalist Nick Sorter, stressed the urgent need for a federal civil rights investigation into his attack and arrest, demanding body cam footage and records. Portland, no stranger to failed police practices, must address systemic failures. https://t.co/CVLAhqemJ0

Video Transcript AI Summary
Speaker Harmit Dillon discusses the current situation in Portland. He notes that the United States Department of Justice is under shutdown orders like the rest of the government, but those responsible for law and order remain on the job. He mentions a conversation with Nick Sorter, the journalist who was attacked in Portland yesterday and then arrested there, and with Pam Bondi, his boss, about what is happening in Portland and the urgent need for a federal civil rights investigation. Dillon states that they promptly moved to open a federal civil rights investigation. He explains that Portland is already under a federal consent decree for its failed police practices, in place for over a decade. Their very detailed demands for information are requiring body cam information and details about why multiple journalists have been attacked there and why the police seem to do nothing about it. He recalls litigating in Portland about journalist Andy Ngo being viciously attacked there while the police again did nothing about it. Dillon notes that the National Guard is being activated in Portland, attributed to the president's leadership. He says they will ask folks to stay tuned and have faith. He emphasizes that the United States Department of Justice Civil Rights Division is extremely aggressive in protecting the rights of American citizens, protecting the First Amendment, and ensuring that police practices in the United States are not discriminatory in violation of federal law. He asserts it is about time that Portland residents and people in Oregon felt safe from the scourge of Antifa and from lax and unacceptable police practices, and invites people to follow along as they go forward in this situation.

Speaker 0: Hi. Assistant Attorney General Harmit Dillon here on a Friday. United States Department of Justice like the rest of the government is under shutdown orders, but those of us charged with law and order and safety are still on the job. Pay or not. And today, had the pleasure of talking with both Nick Sorter, the journalist who was attacked in Portland yesterday and then arrested there, oddly enough. And also the attorney general Pam Bondi, my boss, about what is happening in Portland and the urgent need for federal civil rights investigation over there. So we promptly moved to open up that federal civil rights investigation. Portland is already under a federal consent decree for its failed police practices. It has been for over a decade now. And our very detailed demands for information are requiring body cam information. And details about why multiple journalists have been attacked there in Portland and the police seem to do nothing about it. And I personally have litigated in Portland about journalist Andy know being viciously attacked there while the police again did nothing about it. And now the National Guard is being activated in Portland. Thanks to our president's leadership. And so we're going to ask folks to stay tuned and have faith. United States Department of Justice civil rights division is extremely aggressive in protecting the rights of American citizens in protecting the first amendment and in ensuring that police practices in United States are not discriminatory in violation of federal law. And it is about time that Portland residents and people in Oregon felt safe from the scourge of Antifa and the violence there and frankly from the scourge of lax and unacceptable police practices. So follow along and we will keep everyone posted as we go forward in this situation. Thank you.

Speaker 1: Those are his fingers. That is Andrew. This photo has been verified as an original, and it's been since given to the FBI and they've never contested that it's a fake and I know it's real and he needs to stop with all of these lame excuses. We're sick of hearing it. This is a real photo. Speaker 0: And that was the first time you met him? Speaker 1: And that's the very first time I met him. And that's right before I was abused by him. FBI agent -Johnathan Buma, busted and arrested in New York, at the airport, trying to flee with a one-way international board. Guess he knew exactly what was coming. Charges — unauthorized disclosure of sensitive confidential information, including shared text messages. https://t.co/jPg76bGNGQ

Video Transcript AI Summary
FBI Special Agent Jonathan Buma filed a whistleblower complaint after experiencing what he believed to be discrimination and suppression of intelligence reporting. Buma presented information implicating the Bidens in business deals with Burisma, which the assistant director was interested in pursuing. However, when Buma attempted to provide information that Rudy Giuliani may have been compromised by individuals suspected of Russian counterintelligence influence operations, he was shut down. Buma became concerned after learning Giuliani received $300,000 from Pablo Fuchs, who had ties to transnational organized crime. Buma's reporting faced increased scrutiny, leading to negative performance reviews after 13 years of exceptional awards. After filing a whistleblower complaint, the retaliation increased, with no acknowledgment or interviews. Buma was prohibited from reporting on criminal matters, public corruption, or anyone related to the White House or Trump associates. He experienced personal attacks and was moved to a squad where he couldn't work sources. Buma believes the FBI is not an arm of an anti-Trump agenda. He came forward to protect other FBI agents and restore the integrity of the FBI. He fears that if the FBI cannot hold itself accountable, public corruption will become rampant, and the country could descend into a fascist state. Despite potential repercussions, he intends to continue working.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: I didn't want to be a whistleblower. I wanted nothing to do with it. I was at my wits end. I saw important intelligence reporting being suppressed. I started to experience what I believed to be discrimination, character assassination really. My name is Jonathan Buma and I'm a FBI special agent. When I went and presented to the assistant director in charge over at Los Angeles field office, He he he was very interested in the allegations concerning potentially implicating the Bidens and, you know, involved in business deals with Burisma, a company that was involved in alleged criminal activity. He's very interested and he was adamant about packaging that information up and transferring that to the appropriate case agent right away. But during the same meeting, when I attempted to provide information that Rudy Giuliani may have been compromised by individuals suspected of being involved in Russian counterintelligence influence operations, He shut me down and the meeting ended. I came to know that Julian had received $300,000 from Pablo Fuchs, a very powerful businessman who had deep ties with a transnational organized crime syndicate. He was based in Ukraine. And that was deeply concerning to me, especially, you know, having heard that Giuliani had been working for the president pro bono. My questions that were going through my head were, who does he really work for? I wasn't trying to, you know, implicate Trump or do anything that would, you know, injure his reputation. This reporting implicates Giuliani. He was the one that was in ongoing contact with foreign nationals and, you know, political activists who received hundreds of thousands of dollars from these sources. And at that time, Joe Biden was not yet the Democratic nominee. I I said to my my co handling agent, I said to him, why do they keep going back to the Bidens? So what if this is the leading edge of a disinformation campaign to create a theme of derogatory information about the Bidens in anticipation that Biden would be Trump's main political rival. And I started to experience pushback. All of my reporting came under under really tight scrutiny to the point where I went from getting exceptional performance awards to being told that I was an inconsistent performer and that I had all these administrative I don't have a history of that, thirteen years before that. So it got to the point where it was pretty intolerable. So I filed a whistleblower complaint. All FBI agents get annual training concerning the, the protected federal whistleblower statute, which says that if you see misconduct in management, you can follow us about a complaint with the inspection division. The managers involved in your chain of command are prohibited from committing any acts that could be considered reprisal or retaliation. From that point forward, the retaliation actually increased, and I experienced no such protection, and there's never any mention or acknowledgment outside of an automated email response saying, we received your information, and a letter that said we received your information. Nothing. No interviews. No anything. And an email was sent with a brand new supervisor that specifically prohibited me from doing any more reporting on criminal matters, public corruption matters, or reporting on anyone related to the White House or any current or former associates of Trump. But then now I started to experience personal attacks, not only suppression of the reporting. My reporting was corroborated already at that point, so if you can't undercut the reporting, you undercut the person. So that's what I was experiencing at that point. And I was moved to a squad where I couldn't work sources. I was sent to basically, the Alaska of LA, and and it put into a position where it would be physically impossible for me to do any more source reporting. I was never trying to drive the political process in one way or the other. I was only trying to make sure that everybody had all of the information, both sides, so that people could make intelligent, you know, decisions about what they wanna do, policy makers or voters or whatever. What chairman Jordan's investigation is alleging is that the FBI as a whole is an arm of the anti Trump agenda, and that's simply not true. There is this allegation out there that the FBI slow played the intake of information and their diligent effort to investigate Burisma and the Bidens. What I saw going on with some of these these hearings was they weren't getting the full story. And I wrote up a statement, went to his office, and I told him, quite honestly guys, here's what happened. I think the management cared a lot about it and they wanted a special briefing about it. What needs to be said here is I later started reporting on Giuliani, and, I really started to experience some suppression. And at that point, they shut me down, and they said, no. No. No. We're we're only interested in things related specifically to Biden. I I don't think it's a legitimate investigation. The reason why I came forward is number one, don't want any other FBI agent to ever have to go through what I've gone through, having their right of protection under the statute completely, blatantly violated. Number two, I want to restore the integrity of the FBI so that people have trust and faith in it. Because if it's gone, public corruption will become rampant and we will things will go to hell in a handbasket in this country real fast, faster than people think. If the very agency that's charged with holding our public officials and the most powerful people in the world accountable can't hold its own self accountable and becomes corrupt itself, then, this country, things can get bad real fast. You know, it would be the beginnings of a fascist state. If they wanna figuratively slaughter me by firing me, they can do that. But I have no intention of leaving. I'm gonna show up for work. I'm gonna continue to show up for work in the hope of getting a good paycheck like any other American really wants.

Former BlackHawk pilot, whose son was a co-pilot in deadly DC. crash, reveals a shocking truth—many pilots have no idea if they’ve caused or been part of near-miss collisions. https://t.co/fu8e2HrDAZ

Video Transcript AI Summary
I anticipated a high number of near misses, but 15,000 is more than I expected. That means one in 62 landings at that airport were too close to a helicopter. We requested analytics from Secretary Duffy, and he acknowledged the need to analyze this data. This issue may be occurring at other airports as well. Flying is safe, and thousands of flights happen without incident. However, there are gaps that need to be addressed. It's crucial to share this data between the Department of Defense and the FAA. Pilots from the 12th Aviation were unaware they were contributing to these near misses because they hadn't been informed. This is something we need to work on, and I'm confident it will be resolved.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: And I know that a part of the closure for you was making sure that there's accountability and that things get right going forward. What do you make of these early indications of what you're hearing on the military side as well? Speaker 1: Well, I gotta tell you that I I expected that number to be high. I didn't expect it to be 15,000. But that perspective, that is one in 62 landings at that airport were too close to the to a helicopter. One of the things that we asked Secretary Duffy for was analytics with all this data. And sure enough, that's one of the things he talked about today was we need to analyze this data. There's other airports where things like this might be going off. I want to assure your audience that flying is safe. I fly in the back of airplanes. I fly in the front of airplanes. I'm flying all the time. Thousands of safe flights happen. There are some gaps that need to be closed. And this is one of them. What we need to do also is we need to share this data between the DOD and the FAA. I'm talking to pilots that were in the twelfth aviation. They didn't even know that they were causing or part of all these rare misses because that had just not cared. This is something we got to work on and I believe it's going to get done.

I'm concerned about the person currently in the White House. In my opinion, they're acting against the interests of the United States, despite having taken the same oath as others. They are endangering us to manipulate their followers into thinking they should be a dictator who never leaves office and disregards elections. I'm struggling to understand what's happening and what it will take for people to recognize the severity of the situation.

But right now, when you are literally putting us at risk all because of what? Because you wanna convince your followers that you should be a dictator too, that you should never leave the White House because you don't believe that elections should take place? I don't really understand what is going on, and I don't know what it's gonna take to get people to wake up.

I believe that if you're not passionate about your job, you shouldn't be in it. Federal workers who aren't happy or willing to show up shouldn't hold positions of significant authority over the lives of Americans. It's essential to have dedicated individuals in these roles.

@ColorApril - April Color

Stephen Miller @StephenM has a bold message “if you're Not Passionate, You’re Out! Federal workers who are not happy in their jobs, who don’t want to show up at work, are obviously not the kind of federal worker you want responsible for having enormous authority ... over the lives of the American people.

Video Transcript AI Summary
I don't have exact numbers on federal workers accepting the buyout, but initial briefings suggest a significant response. This aligns with efforts to reform the federal hiring process to ensure dedicated service. Regarding the directive on pronouns in emails, it reflects the administration's stance on biological sex. There are ongoing concerns about trade imbalances with Mexico and Canada, particularly regarding fentanyl trafficking, which poses a national security threat. The administration is addressing the weaponization of law enforcement against conservatives, emphasizing the need for reform. On immigration, the president supports pro-American policies that promote economic value and social cohesion while firmly opposing illegal immigration.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: Accepted Oh, Speaker 1: you have any numbers yet? On the number of people who've accepted the buyout, do you have any even fake number of how many people are accepting it? Any any numbers at all? Speaker 0: I don't have an exact number for you, and I wouldn't wanna give you an inaccurate estimate. That's a good question, and you should get a number soon, I hope. But I will tell you that I the initial briefings that I've received suggested a large number of federal workers have accepted the buyout offer. And I think the point here to really underscore is that federal workers who are not happy in their jobs, who don't want to show up at work, who do not want to be in the office, who are not passionate about what they're doing, or obviously not the kind of federal worker you want, responsible for, having enormous authority over the lives of the American people. And so this is happening in conjunction with a wholesale reform of the hiring process in the federal government to find people who are really dedicated to service at the absolute highest level. Speaker 1: And, Steven, I have a follow-up question. Can you confirm if the administration has ordered some federal workers across some agencies to drop pronouns in your emails as, of course, part of the, the impact orders that were prescribed? Speaker 0: Yes. I believe that the directive you're referring to is consistent with the president's day one executive order on recognizing that there are only male and female sexes in the country and that well, in the world, for all of humanity, but his authority is just on this country. And that your sex is your biological sex that is 1 and the second. Speaker 1: Do you have the the president's meeting with, the president of New Media today? Speaker 0: I don't have any update on that. Sorry. Speaker 1: Can you explain the circumstances surrounding the departure of a top ranking Treasury Department official today, long time of your social? Speaker 0: No. Nothing to add on that subject. Speaker 1: No. We're not. I have dialed you on Speaker 0: any of Speaker 2: my nails on Speaker 1: how you're viewing the rollout of tomorrow's tariffs and how conversations with Mexico and Canada in particular are progressing at this point given some of the comments we've heard from their leaders today in preparation for their own plans. Speaker 0: Well, I mean, as far as the the rollout, I mean, could you clarify what you mean by the rollout? Speaker 1: Hey, sir. Are you considering section 232 tariffs as part of this? Speaker 0: Oh, I don't wanna get into the details. It's not for me to brief on what the details Speaker 1: of how this can be done are, but Speaker 0: there have obviously been long standing trade imbalances with these trading partners that have been long running in the systemic and that affect our national security by eroding our defense industrial base and eroding our manufacturing base. And also, there are even greater concerns with national security and public safety, particular, in particular, they're not limited to Fentanyl, which of course is a weapon of mass destruction in this country and is killing more Americans than have died in our wars overseas, throughout our nation's history. And we know that there's a sophisticated network of criminal cartels operating on our border that traffic fentanyl in the United States. And we also know that the precursors to make that fentanyl, is coming from overseas. And so, hey, you have a a wide array of entities and organizations that have infiltrated our country and are killing our citizens in mass. And we know as well that cartels have functional control, like a government, over a large swaths of Mexican territory, which bravely imperils our own national security and public Speaker 1: safety. From Canada. I'm back to see how the FBI and the Kavanaugh are investigating president Trump. Speaker 0: Well, with respect to the FBI, and I would just say to the law enforcement intelligence community in general, it's clear that there has been vast weaponization of the law enforcement apparatus against president Trump, against president Trump's family, his staff, conservatives in general, republicans in general, and the American people. This was litigated for 4 years, right, from 2021 through the election. The question of the weaponization of the justice system. Of course, it started back in 2017. But there was a whole period of the Biden presidency. This is probably the most discussed and litigated issue, and the American people read their overwhelming verdict on the question of whether or not we need to clean ranks in our law enforcement intelligence communities and ensure that the partisan weaponization of our justice system ends. Speaker 1: Are there any tools underway right now to try and avoid those tariffs? Any negotiations underway with Canada and Mexico? Speaker 0: Nothing to add, miss. Let me take 2 more questions. Speaker 1: Can you can you explain what's going on? Economic impact of the career officials are being locked out of payment systems at various government agencies. Can you explain what's going on? Speaker 0: Well, I would say just as a general matter, that if somebody is trying to send money to, for example, a foreign country that is not authorized, that would be obviously a grave violation, Not only of the agency rules, not only of an executive order, but potentially even the law. And if an individual has been relieved of duty, hypothetically, or has been placed on leave and is still trying to send taxpayer dollars overseas, that obviously would be an extremely serious infraction. But a standard protocol, of course, if someone has been placed on leave to lose access to your devices, we're talking about people who have the ability with the press of a button to send 1,000,000,000 of dollars to foreign countries. Alright. One more question. Speaker 1: Can we get a here can Speaker 2: we thank you? Yesterday, the president said that the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo is very serious. Can you elaborate a little more? Speaker 0: I can't add anything to a statement this time, but we should follow-up with you on that. Speaker 1: And And, yeah, the last one last question is, so would you say that part of the administration's goal is, of course, to crack down on illegal immigration, but to curb legal immigration as well? Speaker 0: The president has been clear with respect to legal immigration that his view is he wants pro American immigration, immigration that supports the economy, that assimilates to our national values, in which there's no welfare use, there's no drain on taxpayers, and it promotes social cohesion, patriotism, and assimilation in the country. In other words, we as a nation, like any nation, have the right to select new commerce based on who will provide the most value to the country and the citizens who are already living here. That's the president's policy. And, of course, with the illegal immigration, the answer is none. 0. No illegal immigrants will add it to the country at all. Thank you, everybody.
