Speaker 0: Chris Lynch Local News with box man, bio hire our shipping containers, both new and used, available right here in Christchurch. Speaker 1: Ann joining me now is New Zealand First Leader Winston it's nice to see you. How are you? Speaker 2: We're very good. It's been a long campaign as we know, and I left we last spoke with Anita this morning, and they've been in quitechurch all day. And, yes, going back Speaker 1: was looking, as I was saying to you off here, I was looking at your schedule and you are going all over New Zealand. I felt tired looking at it. You're feeling like it's, it's coming to an end or you're rearing to go. Speaker 2: Well, actually, we said, it would be great if it was another 3 weeks. We could really wrap this up pretty good. But, you know, it's the case of a country, the size of the UK, we've got to get around it as fast as we can. Speaker 1: I want to talk about, by the way, the reception you have been getting in Christchurch because that's where you've been over the weekend, but I wanna ask a couple of other questions too that I think are quite important at the moment. Mister Peters, over 11,000 health workers received vaccine exemptions while the public was being urged to vaccinate. Now, in an official information at request, which has been released, Matt Hennett from Tifatahora confirmed a 103 application covering these workers from 13th November to 2021 to 20 of September 2022. What's your reaction to this? Speaker 2: I had great difficulty believing it was true, but I understand it is true. Which shows the discrimination that we're on where people were just mandated out of their jobs, whilst these exemptions were taking place And there were the odd cases that were telling this, and 2 of them were successful, but this is a mass disclosure of, deception and discrimination. And, it's just not a meta being sort of conspiracy theorist or going down a rabbit hole If the mainstream media can't see how seriously dysfunctional and discriminated it was towards people, who had legitimate services have the right to say, I don't agree, and they don't deserve to be in their jobs. That's the the main that's the mainstream media. I mean, this this is awful. We saw that. I thought, this can this has gotta be a fix. It's gonna be trying to so we're trying to get that misinformation. Well, I yeah. Speaker 1: Well, to be honest with you, Winston, I thought the same. I was looking at it and looked legitimate. I may some, calls to the Ministry of Health. They said they couldn't comment you had to talk to Tifat ora. Tifat ora said you have put an official information at request because the questions were too in-depth. Put in a request to another to find a oral organization or a subsidiary, and they said, we can't answer these questions and the minister of health police office said to me, you have to go back to the Ministry of Health for those comments because they were too much of an operational matter they said. So I thought, well, we must be onto something if things are going around in circles. Now I wanna give them the benefit down, it may turn out to be not quite as bad. Speaker 2: We're a democracy, and this is a government that claimed it would be the most transparent ever. Now you see what a lie that was, and we're still didn't even strive to be transparent thought that they could cover it up and get away with it. Take even said this information is out now. Speaker 1: I wanna move on to this taxpayer union courier poll that was out morning I understand, and this poll apparently suggests that New Zealanders doubt your claim that New Zealand first wouldn't support Labour's return to government. What's your response to that? Speaker 2: I don't know. Any time for that courier poll because I caught them during this campaign, putting out a, poll which didn't have any deal with the first garment. I pulled it from out in 5 hours later. They tried to say I was a mistake. Sorry. I've got the transcript of my information where I said, this is up, Pauline. Can't you guys even be honest about it? So on that matter, let me tell you this. If they don't know anybody, now they never will. Speaker 1: You've already started a course on Twitter over the over the past couple of days too that you won't work with labor. I guess there's no love between you and Labour, when you've got a Chris Hopkins stating there, and I quote Winston Peters and New Zealand first values aren't compatible with labors. I wonder what your thoughts were Speaker 2: on those comments. It's it's nice to say, and you know why mister Espin's because your values and your present Labour Party values as Chris Potter wrote in a very insightful article recently, are not labors values either. You've forgotten you or a new manor woman. We got a cost of living crisis, And day after day, it was like, because you're appearing on TV eating sausage rolls. In a cost of living crisis, you can't get anything right. And you're right about your values not being mined. Thank heavens for that. But there are people in the old national labor party who would say Winston Peters values are more like mine. Speaker 1: I get the impression, not with all labor party MPs, but it seems like they're being influenced by the radicals on social media, the radicals on Twitter, and perhaps they have missed or misread the mood of New Zealanders, I say that judging by the current political polls. What do you say? And what do you think I don't wanna spend this entire time talking about why labor's falling in the polls, but what do you what do you think has gone wrong for them? Speaker 2: Yes, because they've just forgotten that the the democracy is about the people and that runners elitist, you know, the latest platform of policies was done affecting too. Real New Zealanders to make this thing a lot of against on the cost of living another 40% We'll say we have to make some serious adjustments to get by. There's 70% of these units, and they're not making any connection with them whatsoever. And that's disappointing, but I'm trying to labor voters, look. Labor stopped and likely so, but you must have vote for him, Winston Peterson. If you're on 1st somebody to be in the room, making sure that governance is for all the people and not an elite, whether it be on the far left or the far right. Speaker 1: Mr. Peter's after meeting meeting New Zealanders with your, horrific schedule up and down New Zealand, including Christchurch over the weekend, What has surprised you in terms of what people are saying about the state of New Zealand? What's the feedback you're hearing that has surprised you? Speaker 2: I can't say that we have monitored like that other than to say the recession has been marvelous, especially, and most importantly from young people, there is also that quiet person that's looking almost like he's angry with you, but only wants to say in his quiet voices, Get rid of these guys as hard as you can, but they're whispering it to me. And so they don't trust the actual system to speak out loud, and that's why we know there's a surge on, and there'll be big kangon legend there. Speaker 1: You've mentioned in the past previously, and I'm paraphrasing here about democracies being threesome, separatism, and social engineering. Can you just outline specifically what you mean? Because a Hero Powell did say that me, New Zealanders felt like never before this country has felt divided. Speaker 2: Was delivered. They set out to undermine the treaty of White Tony by restating what it was when totally falsity with it that setting up. The poor premises that setting up was that, and before the white man arrived, this was a peaceful paradise saying that the Maureen partnership with the Queen Victoria on the 6th February 40 with no one in the UK. Or in the Hong Kong, which a son never said, wasn't a partnership. The third thing they say is we never see this sovereignty. This is colossal stuff now. And the cool thing is they that day on that day co guns began. All that debunked by famous scholars and politicians later up on another, Pormay, it's DeMari, Pormay, to beat it back at famous anthropologists. And before him, famous politician called Carol or Maury, All rooms did nothing of the sort, leaving notebooks about it, but, no, no, here comes out of the sociological park universities, new construction based on a massive lie, And it is worse than this. It's not just racism and apartheid. It is elitism of a very worse sort. And, boy, if you look around the world, there are countries where the elite land things and the mass majority are conformist or they're dictated to, It's not a democracy. Now they're gonna be best in the mainstream media to try and defend this because that'd be part of it. In their, apologetic way they've handled it. Instead of inspecting these things, they've just gone on saying, it's fine. Why do you expect things? If you're saying that your racist nurse is not that we just found the Marine and Coastal Arias legislation in the Christchurch press today, is sitting out the fact that it's illegal. Now that that bill came in because they just thought they would repeal what I'd put the up together with Ellen Clark, and called the for Sean seabed legislation. So we had 6 years of absolute peace and all of a sudden, John Keith decided he and Philipson knew better. Here at times, just yesterday, the court's saying it's illegal. What I missed, but they signed up to the U. S. Declaration that I stopped as well. And it also is that the opens to the city under labor, it's under an excellent act, which had unelected May awards. In the southbound, the whole of border is going to be controlled by NATO. Feel about all the rest of the people from Ireland around down here as well, and all the rest of the Europeans, maybe on the south island. And this is bit like over and over again in every system. It's far better than you think. It's far more sinister, do you think? And this collection is one of those inflation matters, whether we're the victim or we're heading to the 3rd world. That's how important it is. Speaker 1: Mr. Peter's police reported several days ago that the malte party candidate's home wasn't racially targeted or rammed rated as claimed by the candidate. Speaker 3: To the people who rammed rated my house, Speaker 1: In fact, they went on to blame you and your so called rhetoric. I wondered what your take is on the married party's credibility after the police in a roundabout way suggested that what was espoused by the candidate and the Marie party was bullshit. Speaker 2: Oh, look, this is a publicity stunt. And when Rebecca White had a god made Sunday, Saturday morning a week ago, I said to her, this was not a home invasion. This was not a home invasion. I knew it, mom and I heard about it, and long come the police set of deduct the whole thing as kind as they can and they've actually framed it as a advertising stunt, but there's a precedent in the United States where similar political claim was made. They've always been tragically happened to them, and they've found out within very quick time. Was it Jesse Smollett? Oh, he's a smaller case that it was total build dust. Total build dust. When I heard it, I thought Be careful. It won't be amazing because she wasn't home. Good evening. New Zealand is a small country. This has made it difficult for its voice to be heard internationally. Speaker 1: Finally, Mister Peters, I mean, you have had an illustrious career in politics. I wondered why you'd bother going back or wanting to get back into the parliament building when you could be relaxing, chilling out, doing your own thing. Speaker 2: A whole lot of people must trust me, keep asking me that and for good reasons. And I can think of all the great things, you know, the building out on the boat and join yourself and all the things that go with freedom, but Whether you believe we're not or whether you have anybody viewing this today, we're not. I'm on a mission because I can I think this is an inflection relation? We just have to win, but not just to change the government. We gotta get rid of these policies. We have got the clean and the system up. And go back to valuing all of our DNA, you know, whether you're a female or female or young or someone, it doesn't have your ear now legally. I want one country, want people one flag One will for everybody in one boat where every boat is a equal value. When I hear somebody from the my party saying that they've got superior DNA. Which is what part of my leader said. I'm just shocked by that. Shop not for his stupidity, but shocked by way the mainstream media will Brown beaten into accepting that for the disgrace of this or within the other leader, madam of Davidson said that all violence is from cis white men. Speaker 3: I am a prevention violence minister, and I know who causes violence and we're That was white cis men. That was white cis men. Speaker 2: You see what happened there? If I understand something like that, I would have been scoffed out of town, but, no, over and over again, this is happening. So we have to also have a world commission and fixed up our media Speaker 1: That would be nice when the New Zealand 1st, leader Winston Peters. Thank you so much for your time. Appreciate it. Speaker 2: Well, thank you. And you know what? It's great to have many of you with somebody's interest in what they'll say and not turn another soft, but every time we open our mouth. Speaker 1: I do try.
