I believe that if everyone who hasn't voted shows up on election day, we will win. It's straightforward: our victory hinges on voter turnout. If they don't come out, we risk losing the incredible republic our founding fathers and God helped create.

I feel optimistic about the election, but it's crucial that those who haven't voted yet show up tomorrow. We're at a pivotal moment: we can either reclaim our country or lose it for good. Early voting turnout is unprecedented, with over 200,000 more votes than Democrats in Arizona. If the rural counties and election day voters come out, we will win. We're in Prescott, a historic location, where Barry Goldwater announced his presidency nearby. Despite the cold, people are showing up for our rally tonight. Together, we will demonstrate our commitment to saving Arizona and America.

Speaker 0: Night before the election, Carrie, what's your sense of how things are going right now? I feel good. But I only feel good if the people who have not voted up until right now show up tomorrow. We have we're at a critical a critical point tomorrow. We either take our country back and save our country, or we lose it forever, and that's where we are. And we've had a huge turnout in early voting. We're up over 200,000 votes over the Democrats. That's unheard of in Arizona. And tomorrow, we we decide if we wanna win it. And that means everybody who hasn't voted and this is where the rural counties are gonna show up. Everybody who hasn't voted, their election day voters, if they show up tomorrow and vote, we win this election. That's it's pure and simple. We win. But if they don't show up, we say goodbye to this incredible republic that our founding fathers helped create, that god had a hand in creating. So I'm hopeful. We're working hard. We're here in Prescott, Arizona. It's such a historic part of our our country and our state. Barry Goldwater announced his presidency here about not even a block, a half a block away from where I'm standing right now. And tonight, we're having a huge rally there. It's cold in Prescott, Arizona, and it's not always hot and warm in Arizona. And the people are showing up. They're dressing up. They're bundling up. And tonight, we're gonna show up and tell America that we're gonna save Arizona and save America.

People are becoming hateful, especially after the Supreme Court ruling. There's talk of Trump's assassination, which is dangerous. Trump is a great man who loves his country and family. Speaker 0: Horrifying how hateful people have become. And I think last week when the supreme court came down with the immunity, ruling is when I started hearing a lot of of of talk from talking heads on MSNBC and others talking about the assassination of president Trump. This is dangerous. This is dangerous, dangerous territory, and look at what it has resulted in. I'm not gonna make any causation here that their speaking last week caused this, but there's been, as I said, an 8 year smear campaign on president Trump. Charlie, I know you know president Trump well as do I. He's an incredible man. He's a great fighter. He loves this country. He loves this. He loves his family, and he's doing this because he loves his country. And I'm out in the campaign trail all the time. I believe our country is much more united than the fake news media wants us to know about. Because if we know that we're united, then we just turn off that noise and we come together and start saving our country. What struck me when all this was going down, when the shot, rang out and and the Secret Service came in and pulled president Trump down was look on the faces of the people behind president Trump. And I looked at these incredible, hardworking, patriotic men and women who love president Trump because he's fighting for them, and I thought every single one of them would have been willing to jump in front of that bullet for this man. They recognize how important he is. I myself would have been willing to do that. I'm just, by the grace of God, I'm just so so thankful that he was spared tonight, that we're talking about him recovering from this and not something so much worse. And all I can do is praise God tonight and and thank God tonight for president Trump. I reached out to him and just told him that I believe God has a hand on his shoulder, and God has put him here for this moment. And we are going to continue to pray and and protect him even greater because we need him. The world needs him. Humanity needs him right now. Yeah. Pretty remarkable. Unbelievable.

An injunction was filed against Maricopa and Pima County to stop the use of electronic voting machines due to security concerns and violation of voting rights. The case was dismissed based on lack of standing, but an appeal has been made and will be heard by the 9th Circuit. If the decision is reversed, it would allow for further investigation and discovery. Evidence of wrongdoing and malware was found in the machines, causing chaos on election day with thousands of rejected ballots. An independent investigation also revealed anomalies with the printers, leading to suspicions of malware. The issue will be argued on September 12th.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: Well, if you recall, we filed an injunction against Maricopa and Pima County seeking to prohibit the use of electronic voting machines because they're inherently insecure and they violate a constitutional right to have an accurate vote as well as equal protection. And we filed that with Carrie Lake and Mark Finchem as the plaintiffs. They were candidates at the time. Kerry, of course, was candidate for governor and Mark Fensham was the candidate for the secretary of state office. And we had a full hearing in last summer in July where 5 experts testified as to why these voting machines, should not be used in elections, how they're insecure and, therefore, cannot provide a trustworthy, accurate vote. The court dismissed that case based primarily on a purported lack of standing. Of course, you heard about many other election challenges. It's always a lack of standing. And standing is where a court has ruled that the plaintiff cannot allege an injury that a court can remedy. And so this is a it's used quite frequently by courts on election cases as we know. We have appealed that decision and it is going to be heard by a panel of the 9th Circuit on September 12th. Andrew Parker will be arguing the dismissal of that action. We think we have very, very strong grounds to have that decision reversed. And if it is reversed, that would open up Maricopa County and Pima County to discovery. Other words, the case would go forward with full subpoena power, with full discovery, and we would be able to put people under oath. And as we know from Kary Lakes election contest, there is significant evidence of wrongdoing, unlawful conduct and, in particular, with the machines themselves. Precisely what we argued before the November 20 election that, for example, malware could be implanted without anybody knowing, we found evidence of malware put on the printers that were used at the vote centers, at 2 23 vote centers. And those printers are what caused the election day chaos. They were printing defective ballots and also thousands of ballots that were a 19 inches image was printed on 20 inches paper. And what that causes the tabulators, when those ballots or inserted, they can't read them, so they reject those ballots. And the system log file, to tell you the extent of this problem, them. The system log files for those tabulators show that there were over 7,000 ballot rejections every 30 minutes beginning at six 30 a. M. All the way through 8 p. M. When the polls even after the polls closed. It was insane on election day. That's over 200,000 ballot rejections on a day when there were only 248,000 votes cast. And so what happened that day where there was huge lines, a lot of frustrated people, people were giving up voting, lines out the door because they couldn't cast a ballot. And we know that there is strong evidence of malware because the election in January, Maricopa decided to try to do an independent investigation into the printer issues. So they retained former Arizona Supreme Court chief justice Ruth McGregor to lead an investigation. And in that investigation report, which was released on April 10, 2023, they recounted an anomaly during their testing, which was extraordinary. And that was they took 10 printers and they said that during our testing, 4 of the printers began randomly printing fit to page ballots. That's the 19 inches image on a 20 inches ballot paper that prevents from being tabulated. They say 4 of the printers began printing random fit to page ballots. And here's the kicker, and this is a quote. None of the technical experts we consulted with could explain how or why that occurred. And as Clay Parikh, who is an extraordinary expert on cyber issues testified that kind of random printing can only occur because of either malware being put on the printers or what is called remote access or colloquially hack it. And since this was a test that was being conducted by Chief Justice MacGregor's team, remote access is unlikely and the most likely explanation would be malware. And that's precisely what we warned about in the injunction that's at issue on oral argument on 12th.

Speaker 0: The book is Unafraid, just getting started. We will be discussing it in detail, through the hour. Please follow this, warrior queen at karrilake.com. That's Kari with a k, karrilake.com. Tell us a little bit about that decision because people don't walk away from that kind of success in 1 career that they've invested decades in to do something completely different where there is no guarantee at all of success. In fact, the odds are stacked against you. What what was it that made you take that step. Was it distortions under COVID? Was it something incremental you're witnessing amongst your media colleagues. Or was there was there some moment where you said, okay. This is wrong. I have to try and fix it. Speaker 1: All 3 of those things. You know, I've noticed over the years that, some of the people with depth in the newsrooms across the corporate media, All across the country because I know people who work in media. The people who have the depth and and a little more wisdom and they may maybe they're older, they have children, were being pushed out And replaced with 2 or 3 kids fresh out of journalism school. And these kids coming out of journalism school today, unfortunately, and I'm sad for them have been in the k through 12 system where they've been indoctrinated and then the universities are indoctrinating them further. Journalism schools aren't teaching them to be true journalists most of the time. They're teaching them to be social justice warriors. So newsrooms across the country started to get filled up with social justice warriors. And veterans like me would be you know, you're trying to keep things balanced. It became difficult. Also incrementally just watching how the the story choices changed over the time to where you had more say and there was more interest in having balance to there being less interest in having balance and really having to fight to try to bring balance into every newscast. This is happening not just, You know, in Arizona, it's happening all over the country. And, for me, COVID was a huge wake up call. You know you won't you'll hear get a second opinion right when it comes to medicine Speaker 0: right Speaker 1: get a second opinion that's a pretty basic thing sometimes you want a third opinion one doctor tells you one thing Let me see what another doctor says or another doctor before we make a move. We made a move as a country that was so wrong and so off the wall, crazy and destructive without even allowing second opinions. And in the media, it would be our duty, I would think, to get other doctors who have Years of experience and expertise in vaccines and expertise in viruses, there were many of them speaking out. They were then labelled conspiracy theorists And they were thrown into the the trash heap of of people you can't interview. And it was only the media willing to take doctor Fauci And a few of their propagandist talking heads, thoughts on COVID. I found that reprehensible. I found that Not to be journalism at all, but to be propaganda and the kind of propaganda that was dangerous to my fellow citizens, To the people watching and and frankly deadly. And I think I'm right. I think in hindsight, we can say that I'm right on that. Yeah. And it was also incremental. There was also 1, you know, as this was all weighing on me and I was having a harder time, finding balance and and feeling to this profession if we couldn't be totally honest with people. The big straw that broke the camel's back as I was pondering all of this and Dealing with all of this and thinking of quitting, the November 3, 2020 election happened, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I saw Now there was no interest in the corporate media to be honest and balanced when it came to COVID. Now we have an election that was run Like a circus and was fraught with fraud and there seemed to be no interest by the corporate media to dig into that, ask questions where needed to be asked. And so it was with that that I I went to my husband and I just said, I I really am struggling really badly doing this job and How do you feel about me walking away? Thank God I have an amazing husband. We're gonna be celebrating our 25th anniversary in August and he was supportive Of me walking away from a huge paycheck at a time when the economy was at best sketchy and, you know, dicey. But we prayed a lot, and I just I just knew God would provide and and help me make the right decision. What I didn't realize, Seb, I didn't think it was that courageous of a move. I just felt it was a necessary move for me. I didn't realize that when I announced it to Arizona That my video would go viral and it would become a huge story and it would be a courageous move that inspired so many people. Speaker 0: We will discuss the consequences of that truly courageous move. It's all detailed in the brand new book. Speaker 0: And do you recall any figures with respect to the approval rating? Speaker 1: So I did look at the users that had over a 1000 instances of that less than 2 seconds, comparison and 7 of them had a 100%, I remember that. Speaker 0: What is your expert opinion as to the physical ability to compare a signature for consistency in less Speaker 1: than 3 seconds? I don't believe it can be done. I I look at this all day, every day. This is what I do and I've done for 30 years, handwriting and signatures. I'm not gonna sit here and tell the court no one in the world could be better than me, but I really do believe I'm at the top of the pyramid of who could do this and how to do it. If I can't do it, I don't see how anyone could do it on a mass scale day after day after day, hour after hour Speaker 0: at these rates. It can't be so. And When you're how are you using the term compare? Speaker 1: Well, compared to me, this morning I just Googled what does compare mean, and it says to look at carefully to see similarities and differences between 2 items. Obviously, in this case, we're talking signatures, That's what it means to me anyway, but to give you the definition that I read this morning, that's what it said. Speaker 0: And what is your understanding of the stat, Arizona statute that governs signature verification 16,550? Speaker 1: Well, it says that they should be compared and then it infers after that for consistencies or inconsistencies based on this is the path for an inconsistency. It uses the word compare. The standards that I use in my field and the standards that are written use comparison and compare. The training manual use it that was at least had input from someone like me. I don't wanna drag her down to that level if she feels differently, but Someone with similar background to me? It's a common word that we use in English language and is no different in my industry what the word compare means.

Video Transcript AI Summary
The speaker discusses the process of verifying signatures on ballots and the issue of mismatched signatures. Under the previous administration, the curing process for signatures ended at 7 PM on election day, which caused problems in the recent election due to a large number of early ballots dropped off on election day. The language in the procedures manual regarding contacting voters about signature discrepancies is ambiguous and has been interpreted differently by various recorders' offices. The speaker also mentions concerns about partisanship and provides examples of comments and lawsuits related to the issue.

Speaker 0: To because this is the process where you sign your ballot, but your signature doesn't match the signature that you have on file. And so what the recorder's office has the ability to do is secure the ballot such that they will reach out to the voter and see say, hey. Did you actually vote. Is that your is that you? Or is there, you know, is there a reason why your signature is different? So under the previous administration, under recorded Purcell, early voting was intended to be early. And they ended the curing process when the polls closed at 7 PM on election day. Such that if there are any signatures that hadn't been verified by 7 PM on election day, those signatures do not later be verified. That was especially a big issue in this recent election because there were about 200,000 early ballots that were dropped off on election day. And so that obviously bogged down the recorder's office and the number of signatures that take procedures manual page 166 of that document which is a 2014 document says the county recorder, if time permits, may attempt contact the voters to ascertain whether the voters voted the early ballot and any reason why the signatures may not match. Now the that language is ambiguous and not well defined. And various recorders offices have yes, sir. Oh, okay. Great. Then we'll we'll do this quickly. And various recorders have interpreted that in a different way. This is not inconsistent with other recorders' offices. However, it is inconsistent with some of the things that recorded pontiffs kind of review do. We are going to rush quickly through partisanship. And they also asked us, the republican party asked us to look into issues of partisanship. Here, I think there are some of the materials that perhaps you are all familiar with. Such as a bring in tweet when there is open party lawsuit filed, there was no such similar agreement. There was a democratic party lawsuit filed against the recorded there are comments such as regarding chairman lines that he just didn't want some votes in the Maricopa County to vote. And there was a discrepancy in treatment between say report between council between supervisor Gallardo and supervisor Chupri. So I'm going to push through and

WATCH Maricopa County Attorney La Rue admitted IN COURT today that signature verification is a subjective & non-scientific process. "It’s not really a hard & fast science... if we would bring signatures in here, Your Honor, you might think some are consistent & I might think they were inconsistent or vice versa." This is the ONLY security measure for mail-in ballots in Maricopa County.

The declarants' testimony mentioned by counsel for Lake is unclear as they relied on their memory and did not have the exact details of the signatures they rejected. The signature review process has multiple levels, allowing voters to cure their signatures. The initial reviewer's rejection does not guarantee that the signatures will be deemed inconsistent or not cured. Signature determinations are subjective, varying from person to person. Level 2 and 3 reviewers, with more experience and training, make their own determinations based on additional signatures. Ultimately, the law entrusts this process to the recorder, unless exceptional circumstances arise.

Speaker 0: First, with regard to, the declarant testimony that, counsel for Lake mentioned, I think it's important to remember that the declarants and their declarations, said things like, I think I rejected this many or my memory is and I don't have the declarations in front of me. I don't remember the exact words. Your honor can can see that though. In other words, it's not clear how many signatures these declarants rejected. They're going off their memory, and I'm not questioning whether they're trying to state the truth. It's just they themselves acknowledge, you know, it had been a while since they had done this and they weren't keeping notes of how many signatures they rejected and they think they rejected so many, that doesn't mean that they did. Second thing that I want to say just very quickly is that, as as explained in the papers, there are multiple levels to signature review and the voter gets an opportunity to cure signatures, which means that even if at the initial level, a an initial one reviewer rejects signatures, that doesn't mean that those signatures are actually not going to be found to be consistent or that they're going to be cured. The level one reviewer has no no way to know what the final outcome will be. And I believe the declarants actually say that in the declarations. I think they've been attempted to be honest in these declarations. They don't know. The counsel for Lake, said that the, the analysis from 2020 showed that signatures did not match in 2020, and that's the the type of challenge that they're bringing here. That again, your honor, means they're they're shifting back to they're making charges to signature determinations. And as we said in our papers, that's a very subjective process. 2 people might look at a signature and one might say, I think that's consistent. And another might say, no, that's inconsistent. And there's no line rule in the law that says when a signature is or is not consistent, this is something of an art in election, verification work is Yeah. Especially it's not really a hard It really depends on who they voted for too. And that's why the level 2 reviewers and the level 3 reviewers have more experience and are able to look at these. They have additional training. They have access to more signatures than the level one reviewers, and they can look at these and make their own determinations. If we were bringing signatures in here, your honor, you might think some are consistent and I might think they were inconsistent or vice versa, but the law entrusts this to the recorder unless, unless something happens like happened in the Reyes case, which did not
