2005: Jon Stewart interviews RFK about vaccines before Pharma bought up the airwaves https://t.co/TmdoHKFj1y

Video Transcript AI Summary
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. discusses the controversial link between autism and childhood vaccinations, particularly focusing on thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative used in vaccines from 1989 to 2003. He highlights a significant rise in neurological disorders during that period, with autism rates increasing from 1 in 2,500 children in 1988 to 1 in 166 today. Although thimerosal has been removed from most vaccines in the U.S., it remains in some, including the flu vaccine, and autism rates are rising in countries like China, where vaccinations began in 1999. Kennedy expresses concerns about the pharmaceutical industry's fear of litigation and the reluctance of federal agencies to admit potential harm caused by their decisions. He recounts an experience with ABC News, where a story on this topic was initially canceled but later aired with a pro-pharmaceutical slant, raising questions about media influence and transparency.

Speaker 0: Link between autism and childhood vaccinations, please welcome Robert f Kennedy Junior to the program. Robert? Speaker 1: Nice to see you. Likewise. Speaker 0: As we adjust our chairs. Normally known more for environmental causes, and I guess to a certain extent, this is, apropos of that. Most recently, you're talking about the link between autism and vaccinations. Pretty controversial. Speaker 1: What what what It's not all vaccinations, but between, 1989 and 2003, almost all of our vaccinations included a material called called thimerosal, which breaks down to form mercury. It was a preservative. It was unnecessary to add the vaccines. And we saw during that period a dramatic increase in neurological disorders among American children. Today, 1 in every 6 American children has some born during that period has some kind of, neurological disorders, speech delay, language delay, dyslexia, and at the opposite end of the range, autism. Autism rates at in 1988 before they started adding all these vaccines, 1 in every 25 100 children had autism. Today, 1 in every 166 children have autism. And there is very, very strong science, really overwhelming science, linking those autism rates to the thimerosal that was in the vaccines. The thimerosal, people should know, has been removed from most of the vaccines in America. We still have it in the flu vaccine and in 1 or 2 other, but we are still giving it to children all over the world. And there's now been a dramatic increase in the 3rd world in autism rates. A few years ago, 6 years ago, autism was unknown in China. Today, we started giving them our vaccines in 1999. Today, there's 1,800,000 cases of autism in China. And there's there the the science today, if you actually read the science, which most journalists don't do, the science is, is overwhelming that there is a link between the autism and the thimerosal. Speaker 0: So where then, you know, is the controversy? Because there are certain there are certain issues that, if true, if validated, do boggle your mind with a sense of humanity. If these vaccine makers or if the FDA or other people are allowing a certain compound into these vaccinations that's causing autism and they now know it, Why are they fighting so hard, to keep that? Is it is it purely to save their asses, or is it are they concerned about people then rejecting vaccines in general and then the public health suffers? I mean, clearly, a lot of these people are not benevolent. Speaker 1: There appear to be 2 two concerns. One is the, the pharmaceutical industry is terror terrified of the litigation. This is literally 1,000,000,000,000 of dollars of damage for each autistic kid. The if you have a kid with autism in your family, it shatters your family. So that's a concern with the pharmaceutical industry. There's also a concern with the scientists at CDC and the FDA, the federal agencies that green lighted autism. And as congressman Weldon, who's a right wing Republican congressman who's also invested in this issue and is convinced that there's a link, what he says is that, you know, how many people how many of us would want to admit that a decision we made had poisoned a whole generation of American children? The, but, you know, the principle kind of benevolent, rationale is that, these, the the federal agencies and the pharmaceutical companies wanna make sure that people don't get scared off of vaccines. What I've been saying is people are gonna be frightened about vaccines if they don't trust the federal regulators, to be honest with the American people. And the biggest threat to our vaccine program is that these people have now been caught red handed conspiring to hide this information from the American people. We've tried you've tried to Speaker 0: talk about this publicly, and there's a real interesting story about what happened, to you with with ABC News, where they had shot a story for you concerning the link. Speaker 1: I had I had pieces coming out, the cover story of salon.com, and Rolling Stone simultaneously, printed published the same piece. We had an exclusive deal with ABC to air the piece, to air a story about the piece. ABC on ABC Nightly News and Good Morning America. ABC told us, they had read the piece, we gave them an exclusive, so we didn't pitch it to the other networks. They told us that they believed in the story, that they were behind it. They wanted to be the network to expose this to the American people. The night before the piece aired, I received a call from the producer saying ABC has canceled the piece. The order came from higher ups at the, network. They won't explain why they're doing it. 2 days later, ABC was deluge deluged with, with letters from the autism community, mainly mothers who have autistic kids, but hundreds and hundreds of emails. This is what the producer told me. And he said, we are no longer gonna cancel it. We're now, going to air it. Booking a rec we're gonna recut it. They recut the show, but they recut it to make it virtually an advertisement for the pharmaceutical industry. And indeed, you know, as if to emphasize the capitulation to big pharma, they bracketed the segment that they did on flimerosal with 2 ads for pharmaceutical, you know, products, you know. I mean, I have no idea what happened at ABC, and I can't, you know, look into their heads and see what happened. But, that series of events was, suspicious. Speaker 0: And if if nothing else, it does seem that, it's very hard to argue the idea that putting mercury in things some people would argue, I guess, that we're surrounded by all sorts of mercury contaminants and everything, and the vaccines aren't as much. But, with with so many passionate people on the case of it, it it would seem that there must be something there. Smoke, there's fire. Speaker 1: Yeah. The you know, I I got into this serendipitously. It's not really my area. I've been working on environmental, mercury for many years from power plants. In 19 states, it's now unsafe to eat any freshwater fish because of mercury that's coming from our power plants. I eat only Speaker 0: tropical fish. That's my, Speaker 1: fish. Speaker 0: Yeah. Well, it's it's it's, a remarkable story. I wish we had more time, but, I appreciate you getting the word out. And I know, parents of kids with autism truly appreciate it. And I know that it's a very difficult thing, thing for them to be dealing with, so I'm sure they appreciate the help and support. For having Speaker 1: And the show My pleasure.

RFK explains why the studies that *prove* vaccines don’t cause autism are “propaganda” https://t.co/OiQwa3omrq

Video Transcript AI Summary
The speaker states they would not give their children the measles, mumps vaccine, claiming that deaths from measles primarily occurred in the early 1900s and among malnourished children. They allege vitamin A is a cure for measles and that contracting measles can lead to greater resistance to cancers, allergies, and heart disease. Regarding an outbreak in Samoa, the speaker claims they did not convince people to avoid the measles vaccine, asserting a ban was already in place after deaths caused by a bad vaccine imported from Australia. They state that the neighboring island of Tonga, which did not use the vaccine, had no deaths. The speaker maintains that vaccines cause autism, citing a CDC study that showed an elevated risk of autism among children who received the hepatitis B vaccine. They allege that studies disproving this link were conducted by "biostitutes" paid by the CDC and that the lead scientist, Paul Thorensen, is a fugitive wanted for fraud. The speaker claims there are hundreds of studies linking autism and neurological injuries to vaccines and recommends their book with 1400 references and over 400 studies.

Speaker 0: I wanna get to vaccines. If your kids were young now, would you give them the measles, the mumps vaccine? Speaker 1: No. I I have measles, mumps. When I was Speaker 0: a kid, it was Lots of people die from them used to die from those measles. Speaker 1: You know what? They died in the 1900 or early 1900. There were about 10,000 Americans a year died. In 1964, there was about 3 or 400 who died, and they were almost all severely malnourished kids mainly from the Mississippi Delta. This is before the poverty program, so there was a lot of starving children in our country. It's very, very hard to kill a healthy child with any infectious disease, but particularly with measles. And the World Health Organization now says vitamin a is an absolute cure for measles, which we didn't know about back then. Back then, you know, we were treated with chicken soup and it was, you know, a a week at home watching Leave It TO Beaver, and every kid caught it. Every single kid got it. And I had 11 brothers and sisters, and we all got it. And we're all fine. And there are lots and lots of studies out there now that show that kids who get measles as a child are much healthier when they grow up, that they're much more resistant to cancers, to atopic diseases, to allergies, and to, and to heart disease. Speaker 0: You went to Samoa. You convinced people not to get the measles vaccine. An outbreak resulted in 83 deaths. Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, that story is not true. First of all, the prime minister of Samoa stayed the measles vaccine after measles vaccines killed a number of people in Samoa, including members of his family. So when I went to Samoa, the ban was already in place, and I visited people in Samoa. I didn't make a I didn't no. There was no policy that resulted from my going to Samoa. Secondly, nobody died in Samoa from measles. They were dying from a bad vaccine, and the the vaccine was imported from Australia and given to people who had measles, which is which is not recommended. The same measles outbreak hit Tonga, which is the neighboring island, and nobody died because they didn't get the vaccine. So this is more propaganda by the pharmaceutical industry, which is, you know, drumming up a a lie to try to discredit me. But if you actually look into it, John, you'll find that it is not true. Speaker 0: And you still say that autism is caused by vaccines? Speaker 1: Yeah. Autism is caused by vaccines. And and by the way, CDC's own data, you know, in in what that they they did a study called the British Stratton study in 1989, and they looked at the hepatitis b vaccine. They looked at children and from the biggest database in the world, the vaccine safety data link, they looked at children who got the hepatitis b vaccine during their 1st 30 days, and they compare those to kids who got it later or didn't get it at all. And there was a 13 150 percent, elevated, risk for autism among the people who got There Speaker 0: may well be, but there are studies with millions of people. You would know Speaker 1: I mean, there's there's look. What oh, you have this wrong. There's a series of about 13 studies that were done by people we call biostitutes. They're one of them was the leading one who are people who do these studies for money for CDC. They were paid for by CDC in order to create the illusion that vaccines don't cause autism. The chief scientist was a guy called Paul Thorensen, who CDC lay and his study is the most cited study for this proposition. And Paul Thornson is now a fugitive. He's wanted by Interpol. He stole 1,000,000 of dollars from CDC that he had claimed to use on this study, but he was building houses, buying motorcycles, and living a life of luxury. And the and the his study is absolute fraud, and yet it is they have not retracted it because CDC is a dishonest organization. It continues to be cited in the literature. And there by the way, John, there are 100 and 100 of studies. I've written a book if you're interested. I'm aerosol at the science speak that has, I think, 1400 references and over 400 studies cited that link autism and other related neurological injuries to vaccines. There there is no question about it. If you actually read the literature, if you listen to what the propaganda that CDC tells you, yeah, vaccines don't cause autism. But it's propaganda. This is a captive agency that is that is intertwined and owned by the pharmaceutical industry.
