To the people saying that 18% of gun homicides committed by legal gun owners sounds too high… That number probably is higher than reality, I extrapolated gun crimes to homicides (big assumption), plus assumed something that isn’t true, that every homicide is a separate incident. Both assumptions err on the side of inflated number of criminal legal gun owners. But it’s the best data I had. With more precise data, the number is likely much lower than that.
