The monetization of X has led to a rise in plagiarism, as seen in my experience with EricaMarshreports. Despite reaching out for credit, larger accounts blocked me. This platform needs to address the issue of intellectual theft and find a way to give credit to the original creators. The current system favors those with larger followings, who can monetize their reach without acknowledging the source. I'm curious to hear ideas from @Support and @X on how to fix this problem and promote the growth of creators.

Back in July I discovered a dark reality of X. Plagiarism. The monetization of this platform has made intellectual theft valuable. On July 2nd I posted a story about EricaMarshreports. It was viewed over 9.5 million times. I watched others copy and paste my story....

At times the words were copied verbatim. Others, several words changed, but the layout and images in the thread were identical. I began reaching out to these large 50k to 200k follower accounts asking for credit. They immediately blocked me.

One account had many following them that also followed me. They claimed to be an American patriot and hero. Their followers saw that these were my words and did not care. They continued following. This is a major problem on this platform that needs undressing.

If this is a monetized platform, there needs to be a way to "patent" or "image" a story first. This way the original poster gets credit. My podcast is an excellent example of the flaws of this system. Here's an example:

When my show drops on the network, I put out a post to promote the show. If a larger following account reposts my show with a quote, they get credit on the platform for their engagement, not my original. In addition, when they repost video, they monetize their account size reach.

The original source creator of content is not being promoted on this platform. I'm curious how this can be fixed by @Support or those at @X - @lindayaX -have any ideas? There is a throttling that may not be intentional of growth of your creators. Anyone else have thoughts?
