I think that the auto pen is one of the biggest scandals in the history of this country because the person that operated the auto pen was the president of The United States, and I think that that's gonna be sought out, and we're gonna find out what happened. President Speaker 1: Trump last weekend on Sunday morning futures discussing former president Biden's mental fitness while in office. The house Oversight Committee is now expanding its investigation into Biden's alleged mental decline. It is sent to interview five members of the Biden administration, including former chief of staff Ron Klain, former counselor to the president, Steve Vershetti, former senior adviser to the president, Mike Donlin, former deputy chief of staff for policy, Bruce Reed, and former senior adviser to the president for communications, Anita Dunn. The committee will also get a deposition from Biden's former physician doctor Kevin O'Connor this week. Joining me now with more on all of this is my second favorite house oversight committee chairman, James Comer. Chairman, thanks so much for joining us here at Sunday Morning Futures. I say that because I used to be the chairman, so you definitely had a Trey Gowdy. I can promise you that. Tell us, though, seriously, where you at with this invest tell us where you're at with this investigation, and who's up next? Speaker 2: Doctor O'Connor is scheduled to come in Wednesday for a deposition. We asked him to come in, and he agreed to come in a few weeks ago, then he declined the day the night before. So I issued him a subpoena. We're serious about this investigation. You heard from president Trump on this show last week. This is something that he's very interested in. Pam Bondi has announced at the Department of Justice into the illegal use of the auto pen. So we're very interested. Doctor O'Connor is gonna come in. We have a lot of questions about the health reports that he would issue to the American people about Joe Biden that I don't think anyone in America, including the most liberal person on MSNBC or the biggest democrat in America believes that Joe Biden was anywhere near as healthy as doctor O'Connor would continuously publish. So we've been consulting Ronnie Jackson, who's a member of congress and who was president Trump's doctor during his first term in the White House. We have a lot of medical questions. We have a lot of legal questions for doctor O'Connor. So, he's gonna have an opportunity Wednesday to come and and tell the truth and and explain how he can continuously issued glowing reports of health from Joe Biden. Speaker 1: Tell us a little bit about, Anthony Bernal. He's the former chief of staff to Jill Biden, the first lady. He was supposed to come in and chat with the committee as well. Speaker 2: Yeah. And that's another issue that we've had. He he did not come in. What's happened, Jason, is president Trump waived executive privilege. And what we think was gonna happen when they all initially agreed to come in voluntarily was that they were gonna plead executive privilege and not answer our questions. Questions. They don't have that. President Trump's waived it. They're gonna have to answer our questions. And if they don't answer our questions or if they don't show up for these transcribed interviews and depositions, then we will hold them in contempt of congress. Our our whole conference is united, behind getting the truth to this. We wanna know who was who was authorizing the use of the autopilot. We we've brought in, you know, a witness already that's identified the near 10 and that was putting in the documents into the auto pen. But she was never, you know, she was never around Joe Biden. He never said, here here's the documents. Put it in. We're identifying that inner circle. Doctor Connor is obviously a big part of the the equation because we believe, just as Jake Chapper has written what we believe John Pierre is gonna write in her book, that, there was a massive cover up of Joe Biden's mental decline, and there was a select inner circle. And we believe Bernal, who was Joe Biden's chief of staff, was a major part of that inner circle. So we're gonna give everybody their due process. They're gonna be able to come in and explain. But the the purpose of this investigation is the fact that there were many executive orders and many pardons that were signed with an auto pen. And as you have discovered, Jason, many of these were signed on days when Joe Biden was supposedly in the White House. You know, why couldn't he have signed it? His name right there, why did they have to use an auto pen, and why was it such a secretive process? So there are major legal implications of this investigation, and, hopefully, we'll be able to get the truth to the American people and, hopefully, do it in a very, rapid manner. Speaker 1: Yeah. If I have the number right, my recollection is something like 75% of the auto pen signatures happened while president Biden was at the White House. Why why would you need an auto pen if you're residing in the White House? I and that's a stunning Exactly. Chairman, you're doing you're you're you're doing an amazing job getting after this. In the case of Anthony Bernal, didn't show up, then he got issued a subpoena. Now he has to show up. So congratulations, sir. It's gonna be that much more difficult. Know it's been pretty busy there in Washington. As we we talk about this cover up, the left the media on the left left is probably has finally acknowledged that this occurred. Are you expecting any cooperation from the left, from the politicians, from Democrats as this continues to go forward depending on what you find along the way? Speaker 4: Well, I'll tell you, this is totally different than, what I faced with the Biden influence peddling investigation. Every time we would bring someone in for a deposition, anytime new evidence would surface in the form of bank records, Democrat politicians like Jamie Raskin and Dan Goldman would go on TV and say there was no evidence. I was misrepresenting what those bank statements and those foreign wires really meant. Then the left wing media would attack me. No evidence. Their deposition was a bomb. Now we're bringing people in, and the media is not saying a word, the democrats aren't saying a word. We had that depa that transcribed interview four hours of of of Nira, and they didn't say an absolute word. They only asked questions for about five minutes. They know there was a cover up. The media knows it. The Tapper book, went into great detail about the about the, cover up. And I think they know this book by Jean Pierre could even be more explosive than the Tapper book because it reportedly names names, whereas Tapper's book had unnamed sources. So we're gonna bring all these people in, and we're gonna do the the American people a great service. We're gonna find out who was actually calling the shots in the White House because I think we all know that Joe Biden wasn't the one that was making the decisions, and we also wanna know about the auto pen. Who was given the authority, to use the auto pen? Did Joe Biden know, what his name was being signed to? So we've got a lot of of work to do, but so far, we're not facing much resistance. Speaker 5: Chairman, you you mentioned the book and I think while there's so much strong stuff in it, like you said, the sources are not named, but you guys are calling in essentially what we imagine to be most of those sources. You alluded to this, but do we have any sense of in terms of the auto pen, what pieces may have been controlled by folks outside of Biden's orbit? Do you have any sense yet about that? Speaker 4: Yeah. We we learned a lot from from Nira Tandon in her transcribed interview. She answered all of our questions. She was the staff secretary. If you look at president Trump, anytime there's an executive order, his staff secretary is the person that stands behind him and announces what this is and what he's signing. The same was the case with president Obama. But with with Joe Biden, what we learned, his staff secretary had very limited access to him. And what we learned from from Nirat Tandon is there was a small circle, an inner circle that called all the shots in the Biden White House. We've gotten the names of that inner circle, and and many of them have already been announced as people that that we've sent letters requesting to come in and or we're going to be, sending them a subpoena to come in. But we will hear from everyone that was involved in the inner circle because we need to know if Joe Biden's name was forged on all of these pardons. If Joe not if Joe Biden's name was forged on these executive orders because that could have a huge impact in court where where many of these executive orders are gonna end up. Speaker 3: Chairman, Jason Chaffetz here. Let's move on to the big beautiful bill because the house passed it. It's sitting over at the senate. They've started that process now. And the goal that the president has is to have it on his desk by July 4. My understanding is that the house Republicans, they had a call this afternoon to discuss, some of the changes that might happen. What did you learn on that call, and where do you think we are right now in this process? Speaker 4: Well, we're still a long way in the process, Jason. We know the timeline. We know that this is the president's agenda. This is what he campaigned on. We know this is of the utmost importance to president Trump and to the the majority of Americans who voted for president Trump. But the specific details of some of the changes with respect to Medicaid and some other things, we're we're still learning those. So this is a big bill. As you know, Jason, you spent a lot of time in congress. We're still digesting all the information. The senate, they're just now beginning the the process, and you know how slow they are in the senate. But we fully expect the senate to pass that bill out in the next forty eight hours depending on how much democrat obstruction there is. Then we we plan on voting on the bill on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. So, that would hopefully, meet president Trump's July deadline. Speaker 6: Chairman David Webb here, great to talk to you again. I get that you won't have this vote by Tuesday and Wednesday, but you've got the members of the SALT caucus. You've got other members of the house. When this comes back from the senate, should they be successful in their passage? What will happen there? Will the Salt Caucus hold the president's agenda that the American people voted for hostage to their blue state state and local tax issues? Speaker 4: It's my understanding the Salt Caucus is pretty happy. So I I think they're in line. Of course, that can change. I've dealt with some of those guys, and they'll they'll, flip at the blink of an eye. But right now, I think they're in a pretty good position. With respect to the the holdouts now, there are two two issues that I think that are still lingering. Some of the members, Mike Lee had a had a provision in there, I believe, to sell some federal land. There are a few Republicans out west that that have some concerns about that. They haven't said they're against the bill yet. But then the big obstacle, of course, is Medicaid, and we're still trying to understand the changes that the senate made to the house version of Medicaid. So that's probably the biggest obstacle in the house is the is the changes to Medicaid. But but as we pretty much to determine whether or not we'll have the votes to pass it or not. But I I feel pretty good. I think that everyone in in our conference knows this is what president Trump campaigned on. This is our moment. We've gotta get it done, and and, hopefully, we'll we'll, be there for the president. Speaker 2: Chairman Comer, thank you very much. We greatly appreciate it. Gomer is threatening to hold the bureau in contempt of congress if it doesn't provide a document that he says could incriminate president Biden. Brooke Sengman joins us now. Speaker 1: I mean, could link president Biden to an alleged criminal scheme. Now, Comer has subpoenaed the FBI for a bureau generated FD 10/23 form. A whistleblower claims that document Scribes an alleged criminal scheme involving Biden, who was vice president at the time and a foreign national, specifically detailing the exchange of money for policy decisions. Now in a letter I obtained to FBI director Christopher Wray, Comer gave the bureau a May 30th deadline to respond to that subpoena. The letter reads in part quote, the FBI has failed to produce the FD 10/23 form or offer any reasonable accommodation that would allow The committee to review the document. The FBI's gamesmanship in holding a meeting about general CHS confidentiality issues, Instead of addressing the specific form from the committee's subpoena is unacceptable. An FBI spokesman tells Fox News that turning over that document though could jeopardize ongoing investigations. The bureau says quote, the FBI's mission is to protect the American people. Releasing confidential Source information could potentially jeopardize investigations and put lives at risk. The FBI remains committed to cooperating with Congress's oversight requests on this matter and others as we always have. Although Comer and the FBI director are set to meet next week, the house oversight committee chair says He's still going to hold Wray in contempt of Congress if he doesn't get that document. Listen. Speaker 2: Nothing's going to change with respect to holding him In contempt of congress, if he doesn't turn over the document, not only do I expect the document, Sean, I expect to know exactly what the FBI did To investigate the validity of the claim. It all stemmed over the course of 2015 and 2016, During the the end of the Obama administration when Joe Biden was vice president and he took it upon himself to travel all over the world To to some of our adversaries around the world and talk about foreign policy and foreign aid. Speaker 1: House Speaker Kevin McCarthy says He believes the FBI will provide the document as the House Oversight Committee's investigation into the Biden family continues. Speaker 0: I mean, they sort of have Because it begs the question, on what new grounds can they continue to slow roll this? It just it's it's flummoxing to me. Well, not only But McCarthy and Comer both. Comer said on the show, yeah, we're gonna get the documents. And then once again, we see that the the FBI just didn't follow through. Definitely. Speaker 1: Earlier this month, Comer did subpoena the FBI for this document. The the FBI ended up responding in time to the deadline he initially set, but didn't provide the document. Good enough. Exactly. But what's happening now As the FBI, during these meetings that Comer and Oversight Committee staff had at the FBI, apparently FBI staff told them that their subpoena was too broad. So They said, you know, there were a lot of documents in June of 2020 that referenced Biden at the FBI, which Comer and Senator Chuck Grassley, who's been involved in these allegations from or received the allegations from the whistleblower, said, you know, that's interesting. There Are other documents from other policy? Speaker 0: And it was both Biden and Pandora's box on Colmer. Speaker 1: So Colmer, what he did is he narrowed the scope or narrowed those search terms. Apparently, they narrowed it to 5,000,000. They're trying to help the FBI. So Right. This is what Gomer says. So they said 5,000,000 is one of the key terms because $5,000,000 is apparently what, you know, Biden was allegedly paid according to this whistleblower in this scheme. And also, I think it was June 30, 2020 is the date of that, that form.
