I believe that Obama and his administration's interference in the 2016 and 2020 elections is far worse than anything Russia or China could have imagined. The legacy media, either misled or complicit in the Russia collusion narrative, should apologize and return their Pulitzer Prizes.

@SenRonJohnson - Senator Ron Johnson

The extent to which Obama and top members of his administration interfered in the 2016 and 2020 elections is orders of magnitude worse than anything Russia or China could have ever dreamed to achieve. Unfortunately, the legacy media, who were either duped or complicit in pushing the Russia collusion hoax, will continue to cover up for their pals. They should apologize and return their Pulitzer Prizes.

The speaker believes the COVID pandemic exposed the failure and corruption of the global elite, who maintain power by controlling information and suppressing dissident voices. They claim the elite overhyped fear of a virus they helped create to push gene therapy and gain control, while sabotaging early treatment, denying natural immunity and vaccine injuries, causing economic devastation, and destroying lives. The speaker has assembled dissident voices who have paid a price for offering a different perspective. These individuals come from diverse backgrounds but share the attribute that their eyes have been opened.

Speaker 0: To me, the the COVID pandemic has opened my eyes to the failure and corruption of the global elite and their institutions, including government. Unfortunately, many eyes remain closed, and the global elite will use all of their power to keep them closed. They maintain power by controlling information. They relentlessly push their narrative while, at the same time, suppressing and marginalizing dissident voices. In this case, they overhyped fear over a virus they helped create in order to push a profitable gene therapy platform and gain greater control over our lives. Along the way, they sabotaged early treatment, denied natural immunity and vaccine injuries, caused trillions of dollars of economic devastation, and destroyed an untold number of people's lives. Unfortunately, they remain in control. Today, I've assembled some of the dissident voices. Many have paid a heavy price for exercising their right to free speech to offer a different perspective, a perspective that was not allowed. Some on the panel would be familiar to the audience. Some will be new faces. They come from diverse backgrounds, but they all share one attribute. Their eyes have been opened, and once opened, they will not be closed.

Yesterday, I subpoenaed @HHSGov for records and data previously withheld by the Biden administration relating to the pandemic and COVID-19 vaccine safety — including Fauci’s emails. It is well past time to bring accountability and transparency back to our U.S. health agencies. https://t.co/EZnTR64CDQ

Thank you for your decades of advocacy for a clean environment and children's health. I appreciate your willingness to unite across political lines to address chronic illnesses and find their root causes. Many Americans, including thousands of doctors, support this effort, and I’d like to submit their letters for the record. I've issued numerous oversight letters to federal health agencies but received little transparency in return. As Secretary of HHS, will you ensure transparency and honor these requests? My campaign is about uniting Americans to tackle the chronic health epidemic affecting our children. We must set aside our differences to address the rise in health issues linked to environmental toxins. I have the experience and determination to lead this change, attracting talented individuals from all backgrounds to help save our country.

Speaker 0: Thank you. Senator Johnson. Speaker 1: Mr. Kennedy, welcome. Thank you for being here. Thank you for your decades long advocacy for a clean environment, for children's health. I can't say is I'm surprised by the hostility on the other side. I'm highly disappointed in it. I don't know if you remember when you called me up and you were contemplating setting your political differences aside, joining forces with President Trump on an area of agreement, addressing chronic illness, trying to find the root cause of of all these problems facing this nation. My first response was, Bobby, this is an answer to my prayers. We need to get to the answers of this, but even more, we need to heal and unify this divided nation. I'm not necessarily the most optimistic guy because we've got enormous challenges facing this nation. But I thought, wow, here's somebody from the left, somebody I don't agree with on many issues politically, coming together with President Trump and focusing on an area of agreement. So something that the American people desperately want. Finding out the answers. What has caused autism? What is causing chronic illness? Miss Kennedy, I know, I think I've come to know what's in your heart. I think I know the personal and political price you've paid for this decision. Guys, I wanna say publicly, I thank you for that. I truly appreciate what you're doing here. Can't we come together as a nation and do this? Can we do aren't aren't you aren't you getting tired of this? I'm getting tired of this. So again, mister Kennedy, I I need to enter in the record. These these are just these are just 11 letters of support signed by 63000 people, thousands of doctors, from from the American associate Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, Independent Medical Alliance, the North Carolina Physicians and Freedom Group, Governor Jeff Landry from Louisiana. These are Americans, non partisan. A lot of a lot of these people, I I know because I've, you know, advocated with you. A lot of them are Democrats. They put their political differences aside. So, mister chairman, I'd like to enter this in the record. Without objection. I I also do want to, mister mister Kendi, as long as I have you here, I've written over 70 oversight letters to the federal health agencies under the Biden administration. I I've virtually gotten squat out of them. Okay? What what I get is we get, for example, 50 pages of Anthony Fauci's emails redacted. By the way, the latest 1 was 17 pages. Instead of issuing a health alert on the myocarditis they knew was impacting young men, early in 2021 instead of issuing an alert on the health alert network, they developed 17 pages of talking points. That was this was given to the public under a 4 request. They had to go to court. They've got a new way of redacting. They don't black things out. They just give you white pages. So you don't even know what they have redacted. So again, I've issued a subpoena now to cover the information I've I've requested in 70 oversight letters. My question to you is, as as Secretary of HHS, will you honor these requests from Congress and will you make HHS transparent? Speaker 0: Yeah. My approach, HHS, as I said before, Senator, is radical transparency. Democrats and Republicans ought to be able to come in and get information that was generated at taxpayer expense that is owned by the American taxpayer. They shouldn't get redacted documents. Public health agencies should be transparent. And if we want Americans to restore trust in the public health agencies, we need transparency. I want to say something about what you first said. When I launched my campaign, it was about uniting Americans, Democrats and Republicans. There's no issue that should unite us more than this chronic health epidemic. There's no such thing as Republican children or Democratic children. These are our kids. Sixty six percent of them are damaged. I know what a healthy kid looks like because I had so many of them in my family. I didn't know anybody with a food allergy growing up, peanut allergy. Why do 5 of my kids have allergies? Why are we seeing these explosions in diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological diseases, depression, all these things that are related to toxins in the environment? Why can't we just agree with each other to put differences about so many issues, intractable issues aside, and say we're going to end this? I don't think anybody is going to be able to do this like I have Because of my peculiar experience, because I've litigated against these agencies. When you litigate against them, you get a PhD in corporate capture and how to unravel it. I've written 6 books about these agencies. I know a lot about them, and I know how to fix it. And there's nobody who will fix it the way that I do because I'm not scared of vested interests. I don't care. I'm not here because I want a position or a job. I have a very good life and a happy family. This is something I don't need. I want to do this because we're going to fix it. And the other thing is, we are attracting now a caliber of people to HHS like never before in history. And there are entrepreneurs. There are disruptors. There are innovators of immense talent that are walking away, many of them, from growing concerns. They're not coming there or positioned. They're coming there because they want to save our country. And they're from across the political spectrum. And all these Democrats are opposed to me for partisan issues. They used to be my friends. Agreed with me on all the environmental issues that I've been working on for my whole career. Now they're against me because anything that President Trump does, any decision he makes, has to be lampooned, derided, discredited, marginalized, vilified.

Pfizer no doubt wanted this hidden for 75 years, but it was the FDA that fought in court to keep it buried. Nothing proves the pharmaceutical industry’s capture and corruption of federal health agencies more than that fact.

Speaker 0: In in preparing for this event, I was reminded of Louis Brandeis's quote in the supreme court decision Whitney versus California. To quote him, if there be a time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, divert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence. I think that quote is completely applicable to what's been happening over the last 3, 4 years during the pandemic. The title of this hearing is, what are they hiding? Speaker 1: If we do zoom out and ask, what are they hiding? The answer becomes as obvious as it is disturbing. They are hiding everything. Speaker 2: It would be a much shorter committee if it was what did they not hide. Speaker 3: Why are the injured being hidden? Speaker 4: These excess deaths are undeniable. Since taxpayers funded the private for profit research, why don't we have a 100% transparency on what we paid for? Speaker 5: The COVID 19 pandemic virus exists because it was bioengineered. Speaker 6: In most cases, there has been an effort to obscure or deny facts in public communication by government and pharmaceutical industry representatives. Speaker 7: Independently of whether it's the vaccine or not, as a nation, we should all collectively want to know what is actually causing these tragic health results. However, the silence by the health authorities and the US government strongly suggest they know the answer to that question. Speaker 8: In the name of disease control, national security, and the greater good is escalation of an historic denial of vaccine risks and failures that has become a dangerous assault on freedom of thought, speech, and conscience, and poses a grave threat to the biological integrity and natural rights of the people. Speaker 9: CDC significantly downplays myocarditis as a side effect of the vaccine. Speaker 3: Analysis of the Verus pharmacovigilance database in the context of the COVID 19 injectable products has revealed strong emergent safety signals from myocarditis to death that are not being acknowledged by the owners of the data. As shock demand wanes, so do the myocarditis reports. Speaker 10: What is the actual risk when you add all these potential adverse outcomes together? Further still, how high is the risk when you multiply all of these risks by 5 doses of the COVID vaccine? Are we still in the ballpark of rare? Speaker 6: The SARS CoV 2 modified mRNA based vaccine products were deployed via emergency use authorization without adequate non clinical and clinical testing and without full disclosure of known patient risk and efficacy data? Speaker 11: It is nearly impossible to publish data that goes against the national public health narrative. If doctors cannot publish the data, they cannot find solution to fix the problems. Speaker 7: What is going on currently is certain governments are now changing how they calculate these numbers. The, ONS just announced a change to the calculation methodology for their excess deaths number, which reduces, obviously, the excess deaths because they like that result better. Speaker 12: For those that control literally public health and and medicine in general, they're the this is the enemy. This is the Achilles' heel of the entire pharmaceutical industry. They they are terrified of repurposed drugs. You will never get a repurposed drug to reach regulatory approval if there's more profitable alternatives. Speaker 13: I saw that many fake data and even fraudulist articles were published even in the major medical journals. Speaker 14: Global policies around COVID 19 vaccines were, of course, dictatorial and discriminatory, leading to the persecution of unvaccinated people such as myself and also leading to vaccine injuries. Speaker 6: The modified mRNA and adenoviral vectored products employ cutting edge gene therapy and gene delivery technologies and should be regulated as gene therapy products. Speaker 7: It has become clear that the US government along with the health regulators do not desire an honest accounting of these policies that were imposed mostly under federal mandates. Speaker 15: Each inversion we've witnessed, more so over the past 4 years, has been executed to precision by a small group hiding inside government and big business. Speaker 16: There wouldn't even be a new a US newscast without pharma ads. So the reporters on your newscasts are all conflicted. They can't bite the hand that feeds them. Speaker 17: Up to 85% of the academic papers, for instance, in the medical field cannot be reproduced and that many of them are are fraudulent. Speaker 1: Every single institution dedicated to public truth seeking is under simultaneous attack. They are all in a state of collapse. Speaker 18: This is a death sentence for journalists. It's how you murder a journalist without killing them. It's how you murder a scientist without killing them. It's how you murder a doctor without killing them. It's how you murder the vaccine injured when they haven't died yet. It's how you finish them off and everybody else in their family. Speaker 19: We force the European Union to tell us exactly what was happening with the vaccination during the same day the day of the vaccination. 12,000 people died the same day. And that should tell something about how criminal this endeavor is. WHO will be given full discretion to set up conditions under which all kinds of mandates, including injections of experimental substances, can be made mandatory on a global scale. Speaker 20: If they are adopted, democracy will be sidelined in the event the WHO decides to declare a pandemic. Experts believe the WHO could then, in practice, impose lockdowns, enforce medical interventions, and dictate medical protocols. Speaker 0: Right now we're up to almost 37,000 deaths worldwide with the COVID 19 vaccine. 24.4% of those are occurring on the day of vaccination within 1 or 2 days. Speaker 14: Yep. Speaker 0: And nothing to see here. Speaker 21: The censorship we've endured, the gaslighting, the silencing is unconstitutional. Speaker 2: The fact checkers have been continually wrong throughout the last, year this has gone on. They initially claimed this could not get into the cells. First, they claimed it wasn't there. Now the FDA and the regulators have admitted it's in fact there, then they claimed it wouldn't get into the cells. We've now shown that, in fact, that is the case. Speaker 0: They knew it was gonna buy, distribute, accumulate in every organ of the body. They knew that the vaccine would not stay in the arm, would not stay localized, and that these inflammatory responses and all the other problems of DNA would would be an issue? Correct. Speaker 3: The early death count was hidden. Speaker 4: All we're really asking for is just more specificity of what the ingredients are, what's considered an active ingredient, what's considered an inactive ingredient, nothing more. This is completely nonpolitical. Everybody wants safe drugs. Speaker 5: Both the virus origin cover up and the forced vaccination of the entire planet were orchestrated to protect the integrity of the bioweapons industry. And we have proof of that cover up from the FOIA documents involving Fauci Collins, Jeremy Ferrara, and others. Speaker 8: We have been ostracized. We our voice has been silenced. That was a a censorship campaign that was condoned by the highest levels of government. Speaker 0: It was not only condoned at the highest level of governments, it was orchestrated by Speaker 8: Yes. Yes. It was. Speaker 3: If the PRR is greater than 1, a causal effect is indicated. Fact. The PRR calculation for death from VAERS in the context of the COVID 19 shots using current VAERS data is 3.6. Speaker 6: These products do not deliver natural messenger RNA, but rather a synthetic chemically modified form with extended stability, which causes the body to produce, quote, frame shifted, unnatural, unintended proteins in addition to the spike protein. Speaker 9: Vaccine injury is neither minor nor rare. Speaker 7: Note, we were told in 2020 that the COVID-nineteen risk of death is primarily in Speaker 17: the older Speaker 7: populations. However, in 2021, with the rollout of the quote unquote safe and effective vaccine, there were approximately another 500,000 excess deaths, but but a mix shift had occurred from older to younger. Speaker 11: Pharmaceuticals companies are captured by, the price of the stock. You know, venture capitalists own pharmaceutical companies. They own the CR, the clinical research organizations. They own the site. They own the institutional review board. They own the advertising, the marketing. They influence the the through the media. Speaker 3: Standard operating procedures for analysis of safety signals emergent from VAERS, when utilized, reveal causal links between the COVID 19 injectable products and the adverse events investigated. Standard operating procedures are not being followed by the owners of the data, namely CDC, HHS, and FDA. And this equates to hiding the millions of people reporting not only adverse events, but injuries in the context of the COVID 19 injectable products. Speaker 13: When a fake, information, is present in the medical journals, all the public media relay that in the worldwide. But when we publish a counter expertise with the truth, nobody speak about it. Obviously, no. It's just fake information. Speaker 14: Pfizer, Moderna, they already knew that there were extra cardiovascular deaths in their own trials. And their excuse was, well, this has nothing to do with the vaccines. First of all, they don't know that. We now know that the vaccines do cause cardiovascular problems. Speaker 7: Obviously, the policy cure was undeniably worse than the illness. Speaker 18: It's time now for us to stop taking taxpayer funds to slit our own throats. Speaker 15: They're trying to take the once powerful human lion and turn us into an easily ruled and easily firmed human lamb. Speaker 16: When the news is poisoned, so is democracy because we stop debating about what's right, and instead we waste our time arguing about what's true. Speaker 1: Our division is necessary in order to keep us from restoring our capacity to understand and to plot our course in a rational way. The primary job that we have is to rebuild the basic tools that allow us to function as a society. Speaker 2: We disguise once again that political interests, political party interests always trump the public's interest. Speaker 19: I believe to the bottom of my heart that this was a great crime against humanity, that these companies were, doing by promoting and by executing this, vaccination. And, unfortunately, it's happened. And looking back, we can see what happened. Speaker 20: The WHO cannot be trusted at all. It is funded by China, by big pharma and by philanthropists. Philanthropists. I call them oligarchs, by the way. There are enormous conflicts of interest. Further amendments threaten free speech and seek to increase censorship of differing opinions, potentially transforming our nation into totalitarian like states. Speaker 3: The COVID 19 injectable products are associated with a 26 and a 100 fold increase in total adverse events and deaths respectively, when compared per million doses with influenza vaccines in the same time frame. Speaker 7: The total excess deaths since the rollout of the vaccine in the US, including 21, 22, and 23, is approximately 1,100,000. We estimate the economic cost, productive working age people dying at 15,600,000,000. Speaker 9: I see that for every one child that is saved, from death, from COVID 19, there are 30 deaths, 30 child deaths associated with the COVID-nineteen vaccine. So the risk to benefit ratio in terms of mortality is 30 to 1. Speaker 11: What we saw this pandemic was the price of the stock mattered more than the price of a life. Speaker 1: I have many ideological beliefs, and I have put them all aside. The defense of the West is paramount. And to the extent that we differ over how society is to be managed in some small way, let's fight about that later. We we have to save the west. Speaker 21: People say that there is nothing in the constitution that accounts for a pandemic. Oh, yes. There is. It's called the 9th amendment. And what does that 9th amendment say? The enumeration of the constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by whom? The people. Speaker 0: I wanna thank all the participants. First of all, for your courage because I know the very high price you've paid. I understand that. I want to encourage any people, any individual working in an agency, working in journalism, or working in government. If if you're seeing something that needs to be exposed, if you wanna tell the truth, there's a email that you can use, whistleblower@ronjohnson.senate.gov, where you can blow the whistle. That's what we need. We need more patriots understanding the threat, the danger our nation faces because of the misinformation, the disinformation, the malformation. Not not coming from the distance, but from our government, from our elite. This put this country on a very dangerous path.

Evidence is mounting that there was/is a coordinated effort by partisan actors within federal agencies involving MSM and Democrat members of Congress to cover up for the Bidens and obstruct Republican investigations of the Biden Crime Family. https://t.co/tAnfjIN3Cw

Video Transcript AI Summary
Senator Grassley sent a letter to Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray, asking about whistleblower disclosures on political bias in the FBI and DOJ. The letter revealed that the FBI had 40 confidential human sources with derogatory information on the Bidens, but they shut them down and labeled it Russian disinformation. This exposes corruption within federal law enforcement and the media's complicity in covering up Democratic corruption. The corruption extends from the exoneration of Hillary Clinton to the crossfire hurricane investigation and the obstruction of the Hunter Biden investigation. There needs to be a thorough investigation, but the biased media is a hindrance.

Speaker 0: I am looking at a letter that your colleague, senator Chuck Grassley, sent to Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray asking the same questions. He requested information about the FBI and DOJ, and, the legally protected whistleblower disclosures that informed his office of political bias. What happened? Speaker 1: Well, first of all, this this letter, This whistleblower that came to senator Grassley's office is not getting the intention it deserves. Basically, what it reveals is there were 40 confidential human sources that the FBI had They had derogatory information on the Bidens. And basically, the FBI shut them all down. They they had a the foreign influence task force. My staff calls at the the unit that was there to catch and kill derogatory information. They'd find out where an FBI office had this. They'd swoop in there, and then they'd label Russian disinformation. So now this is a massive, massive scandal from my standpoint. And as serious as the corruption of the Biden crime family is an is is appreciative I am of, chairman Jordan and Comer in terms of their Ongoing investigation, filling in the piece of the puzzle. I think what's an even greater scandal is the corruption within federal law enforcement, the Department of Justice, our intel community. This needs to be fully exposed, and right now it's being pretty well hidden. I asked Christopher Wray whether he had read I just assumed that you you obviously have seen and read The letter that chairman Grassley sent you, and he said, well, I'm generally aware of it. And I said, oh, you ought to read that thing. I mean, that's just how oblivious He is to what's happening, at least he appears to be a believer as to what's happening, underneath him in the FBI. Of course, the other scandal here is the corrupt and complicit Media that covers up everything, you know, as it relates to corruption of Democrats and the Bidens. And so if if you really trace this back, you back go back to the exoneration of Hillary Clinton. You see the corruption of the crossfire hurricane exam, investigation. You see the coordination of the 1st Trump impeachment where you had whistleblowers working with Adam Schiff. They followed that through to the obstruction of, our investigation in Hunter Biden by the FBI, by the intelligence community. You take a look at the intelligence community, writing that letter with 51 former members, saying that the Laptop was Russian information operation. Again, this is massive corruption. This is massive coordination. We had Democrat senators who were obstructing, our investigation claiming that senator Grassley and I were soliciting and disseminating Russian disinformation. This didn't just happen. This had to be coordinated. This needs to be fully investigated. We we need something like a church commission to get to the bottom of this. But again, the media is not gonna look into this. If we had an unbiased Media. You wouldn't have this corruption in federal agencies, but we have a highly partisan media. It's gonna be a real problem getting to the bottom of all

Senator Grassley wrote a letter to the speaker, discussing the FBI's use of confidential human sources to provide criminal information on Joe Biden and his family. The letter questions whether the FBI tried to shut down the investigation. It alleges that an assessment by an FBI analyst was used to discredit negative information on Hunter Biden and halt the investigation. The letter suggests that there is political bias within the Justice Department and FBI, impacting decision-making at all levels. Senator Grassley urges the speaker to address this issue for the sake of our democracy.

Speaker 0: I'm assuming you've seen and read the letter that senator Grassley wrote to you and attorney general Garland on October 24th? I'm generally aware of it. Oh, you ought to read it. Let me read some segments to you. The FBI maintained over 40 confidential human sources They provided criminal information related to Joe Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden. An essential question that must be answered in this, did the FBI investigate the information or shut it down. Certainly, there's a host of reasons to conclude that they attempted to shut it down. It goes on. It's been alleged that the basis for shutting down the investigative activity, shutting it down was an August 2020 assessment Created by FBI supervisory intelligence analyst, Brian Auton. That assessment was used by FBI headquarters team To improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information is disinformation caused investigative activity to cease. It goes on. Analyst Brian Oden opened the aforementioned assessment, which was used by the foreign influence task force to seek out CHS holdings at FBI field offices across the country relating to the Biden Biden family and falsely discredit them as foreign Disinformation. My my staff caused that catch and kill. And by the way, it was that same task force that gave senator Grassley and I our unsolicited briefing It was later leaked to the media to smear me and impact, my 2022 election. Senator Grassley concludes, there appears to be an effort Within the justice department, FBI to shut down investigative activity relating to the Biden family. Such decisions point to significant political bias Infecting the decision making of not only the attorney general and FBI director, but also line agents and prosecutors. Our republic cannot survive such a political infection, and you have an obligation in this country to clear the air.

What skill did Hunter have to earn millions of dollars from the corrupt energy company Burisma? Once Viktor Shokin started investigating Burisma, Biden made sure he was fired. The evidence exists, and no spin from the Biden administration can change obvious facts.

Video Transcript AI Summary
Hunter Biden was paid a large sum of money by the corrupt oil company Burisma, which was being investigated by Shokin. The White House is misrepresenting a letter I signed, which was a response to complaints about corruption in Ukraine. In June 2015, a letter from Victoria Nuland, on behalf of John Kerry, was delivered to Shokin praising him. In September, Ambassador Paiatt called out Burisma and it needed to be investigated. This led to pressure on Hunter from Burisma officials to involve his father. George Kent and others were concerned about Hunter's conflict of interest and how it undermined US efforts against corruption. When Shokin started investigating Burisma, US government policy suddenly changed, surprising many, including Eric Chiamela and Ambassador Piatt. This change was prompted by Vice President Biden because of his son's involvement.

Speaker 0: Hunter was being paid 1,000,000 of dollars by the corrupt oil company, Burisma, whose Shokin was starting to investigate rather vigorously because ambassador Payatt had talked about the corrupt oil company, Burisma, in a speech he gave in September 2015. The White House is completely twisting a letter that I joined in that was prompted by the heads of the Ukrainian caucus. You know, basically responding to somebody else in the government that quit, that had some complaints. It was it was a run of the mill letter urging the Ukrainians to continue to fight, corruption within Ukraine. So the the White House is completely taking that out of context. But to do a timeline, in June of 2015, Victoria Nuland, head straight department person for Ukraine or for Europe, on behalf of John Kerry, sends a glowing letter of Great. 2 Shokin hand delivered by the ambassador. Okay? In September, the ambassador Paiatt gave a speech calling out Burisma. It had to be investigated. So Shokin did so. And it was at that point in time that the alarm bells were going off, all kinds of pressure on the part of, Burisma officials on Hunter. Say, come on, we're paying you all this money. I don't have emails on this, but you can assume, you know, you need to get your father in the game here and take the pressure off. And I think I believe that's truly what happened. Certainly, people like George Kent, they were concerned about the conflict of interest that Hunter's position on the board, was causing and it just really undermining the US efforts to fight corruption. So the the White House is completely twisting that letter that I signed with the Ukrainian caucus. Again, that was just the overall government effort was to fight corruption. And Hunter's conflict vigorous sitting on that corrupt oil company who's undermining US efforts. And again, once Shokin started investigating Burisma, That's when alarm bells went off and that's when all of a sudden US government policy completely changed Right. To the point where even Eric Chiamela, Remember that name? Yep. He was surprised of change in policy. Ambassador Piatt, when he found out that there's a change, he said buckle in. So these people totally caught off guard by the change in policy prompted by vice president Biden because his son's on the board.

Threats constantly arise, and our military must be ready to deter aggression. Our military establishment has changed significantly since World War II and Korea. We now have a permanent armaments industry and 3.5 million people working in defense. The economic, political, and spiritual influence of this military-industrial complex is felt everywhere. While we recognize its importance, we must also understand its implications. We must guard against unwarranted influence by the military-industrial complex and ensure it doesn't endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We cannot take anything for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can ensure that our industrial and military machinery aligns with our peaceful goals for security and liberty to thrive.

Speaker 0: But threats new in kind or degree constantly arise. Of these, I mentioned too only. A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction. Our military organization today bears little relation to that known of any of my predecessors in peacetime or indeed by the fighting men of World War II or Korea. Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well, but we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense. We have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportion. Added to this, 3,500,000 men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security alone more than the net income of all United States corporation corporations. Now this conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence, Economic, political, even spiritual is felt in every city, every state house, every office of the federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development, yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, Resources and livelihood are all involved. So is the very structure of our society. In the councils of government, We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence whether sought or unsought by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals so that security and liberty may prosper together.

The technological revolution has brought significant changes to our industrial and military landscape. Research has become more formalized, complex, and expensive, with a growing portion being funded by the government. The traditional image of a solitary inventor has been replaced by teams of scientists in labs and testing fields. Similarly, universities have also undergone a research revolution, with government contracts often replacing intellectual curiosity due to the high costs involved. While we should respect and value scientific research, we must also be cautious of the potential for public policy to be influenced by a scientific elite. It is the responsibility of statesmanship to balance and integrate these forces within our democratic system, always striving for the goals of our free society.

Speaker 0: Akin to and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial military posture has been the technological revolution during recent decades. In this revolution, research has become central. It also becomes more formalized, complex and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by or at the direction of the federal government. Today, the solitary inventor tinkering in his shop has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university versity, Historically, the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard, there are now hundreds of new electronic computers. The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by federal employment, project allocations and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded. Yet in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, As we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific technological elite. It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system, ever aiming towards the supreme goals of our free society.

Maintaining balance requires considering the element of time. We must resist the temptation to prioritize our own comfort and convenience today at the expense of future generations. By doing so, we risk not only depleting the resources that our grandchildren will need, but also jeopardizing their political and spiritual legacy. Our goal is to ensure that democracy endures for all future generations, rather than becoming a bankrupt ideology.

Speaker 0: Another factor in maintaining balance involves the element of time. As we peer into society's future, we, you and I and our government, must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for our own ease and convenience the precious resources of tomorrow. Today, Democrats defeated my amendment to require Senate ratification for any pandemic agreement with the World Health Organization. Now we know Democrats are willing to relinquish U.S. sovereignty to a global entity. How sad.

The speaker raises concerns about a new convention on pandemic prevention and preparedness that would give the World Health Organization (WHO) more power. They argue that this would require a significant financial commitment from the US without proportional voting power. The convention would also require the US to give 20% of vaccines and pandemic-related products to the WHO, transfer intellectual property rights, and give the WHO a leading role in fighting misinformation. The speaker criticizes the WHO for its failure to detect the COVID-19 pandemic and accuses the Biden administration of considering joining the convention without Senate approval. They call for the amendment to be submitted to the Senate for review.

Speaker 0: Mr. President. Senator from Wisconsin. Mr. President, last December, the World Health Assembly established an intergovernmental negotiating body to draft a new convention on pandemic prevention and preparedness. At its 4th meeting last month, the negotiating body accepted a draft of this new convention that would give the World Health Organization broad new powers in managing future pandemics, if accepted, it would cement the World Health Organization at the center of a global system for managing future pandemics and erode US sovereignty. Let me just, list a few of the examples of some of the provisions of this draft, I'll call it a treaty. Currently, it would require substantial new financial US financial commitment to an international body without proportional voting power. It required the US to give the World Health Organization 20% of vaccines and other pandemic related products produced during future pandemics. It includes a heavy emphasis on the transfer of intellectual property rights to the World Health Organization. It gives the World Health Organization a leading role in fighting misinformation and disinformation and as the Twitter files reveal, that leads to censorship and the suppression and a bridging of freedom of speech. It also promotes a global one health approach to health care including harmonizing regulation under WHO guidance. The WHO has not earned this power. Far from it. At a critical moment in late 2019 and early 2020, the who the who utterly failed to detect the emerging COVID nineteen, pandemic and delayed informing its member states. Instead, it was kowtowing to Beijing. Unfortunately, there are indications that the Biden administration is considering joining this new convention by by executive agreement and avoiding the senate. We should not let this happen. An agreement of such magnitude needs to be submitted to the senate for advice and consent. This is not a partisan issue. This is about reclaiming the senate's prerogatives on international agreements. So mister president, I call up my amendment number 11 an asset the asset would be reported by number. The clerk will report the amendment by number.
