Tim Walz is facing serious backlash from former colleagues and subordinates, who have labeled him as "traitorous, fraudulent, and shameful." There's a growing sentiment that he abandoned his battalion during a critical time, particularly as they prepared for deployment to Iraq. The Minnesota National Guard has confirmed his demotion, raising questions about his official biography. This situation seems to be quite damaging for Walz, and many are calling for accountability regarding his actions.

Tom Berens criticizes Tim Walz's leadership as a National Guardsman, accusing him of abandoning his unit during deployment to Iraq. Berens highlights discrepancies in Walz's military service claims and accuses him of using the title of retired command sergeant major falsely for political gain. Despite attempts to expose the truth, media outlets remain silent. Berens urges voters to vote Walz out, calling him a coward and a traitor.

Speaker 0: The public needs to know how pathetic his leadership was as a national guardsman. Speaker 1: On a 150 year old farm in Brewster, Tom Berens hopes his tell it like it is style will finally get the attention he believes it deserves in Minnesota's race for governor. In a way, he's back again to wage a public war of words against Tim Walz. Speaker 0: He he abandoned us. You know? I mean, what the hell kind of leader does that? I mean, he just soon as the shots were fired in Iraq, he turned and ran the other way and hung his hat up and quit. Speaker 1: We'll get to Barron's new message for voters in a moment. But this all starts years earlier when Barron says Wall's misleading statements about his military service first led him to come forward in the fall of 2018. So you try to get this message out, but Minnesota's largest newspaper checks it out, says it's a 100% true, but yet refuses to print. Speaker 0: And when I hung the phone up, I said, what the hell is this? North Korea? Speaker 1: Back in 2005, a warning order went out to the 1st battalion 125th field artillery to mobilize for a mission to Iraq. At the time, Walls served as the unit's highest non commissioned officer. But months later, Walls would retire from the guard, avoid the deployment, and run for congress. Tom Berens was next in line for the position and was asked to take his place. Speaker 0: I was like, well, for Pete's sake, if this guy quit, and if I say I'm not gonna do it, I mean, what the hell kind of leadership is that? If a company would say that we're gonna deploy to Iraq or somewhere, and you're gonna be gone for whatever amount of time, and then the foreman just says, no. I'm not going. I mean, what does that say to the 500 people that work in that factory? Speaker 1: Barrons would go on to serve in Iraq on a nearly 2 year deployment as a command sergeant major. Alwell Walls began using that title as a congressman. Barron says he first contacted Walls with his concerns, sending these letters to Washington. They all went unanswered. But then we fast forward to the election in 2018 in Minnesota, and you try at that time to get people's attention with this story and also with what seems to be a very misleading statement that he continued to make about his service. Speaker 0: It kinda just sat there, you know, when he was a congressman. He, you know, he brag that he was he was a command sergeant retired command sergeant major. I'm the highest ranking person ever in the in the house and, you know, all this lie that he was telling. The state of Minnesota came out after 2018, after this was exposed, and they said, well, he can say that he served as a command sergeant major, but he can't say he's a retired one because he's not. Speaker 1: And that's what he was saying. Speaker 0: And he was saying that and there was lots of public, you know, lots of cards coming in the mail, you know, for him to be elected. They said right on or he's a retired command sergeant major just tooting his own horn, just hanging on the coattails of people that actually are command sergeant majors that went through all the process and put all the time in. Speaker 1: A spokesperson for the Minnesota National Guard said Walls wasn't able to retire as a command sergeant major since he failed to complete coursework and requirements related to the rank. Verified documents show the army corrected his service record. Walls was reduced in rank to an e 8 master sergeant after retirement and his conditional promotion. Alpha News again asked governor Walz if he's using the command sergeant major rank on his campaign website for political gain this year. A spokesperson said this has been in the news before and pointed us to a past story where Walls said, quote, normally this type of partisan political attack only comes from one who's never worn a uniform. Speaker 0: It's a stolen valor is really what it is. I don't know if anybody else has done what he's done, but we call it the truth about Tim Walz. Speaker 1: In 2018, Barrons gave the story the full court press. Speaker 0: We retired command sergeant majors of the Minnesota National Guard feel it is our duty and responsibility to bring forth the truth as we know it concerning his service record. I put together information on it and I sent it out to every single radio station and newspaper and TV station I could in the state. The bottom line in all of this is gut wrenching and sad to explain. When the nation called, he quit. Speaker 1: Twin Cities TV stations and the Star Tribune were silent even after Barron says the newspaper checked it all out. The Star Tribune endorsed Walls in 2018 18 for governor. I don't know. Quit them. Between lockdowns, riots, unchecked crime, and a charred police precinct, Barrons Felty had no choice but, again, to come forward. Speaker 0: Allowing that to be burned down was just like having the Alamo get burned down. It's like, no. You sit you defend that to the last man. So if he would've went to Iraq, he'd still be hiding under his desk over there because that's just, you know, just the cowardice that I've seen portrayed with him. Speaker 1: So how about when he also comes out and he calls you guys 19 year old cooks? Speaker 0: I'd take any 19 year old cook before I'd go to war with him. I don't know how we could even utter such a statement. I mean, it's just it's just absolutely sad. Speaker 1: So this election year, it's all built up again to Barron's new green bin message. Speaker 0: He called Jacob Fry an abject failure. So I was like, you know, that's what he is. Speaker 1: Walz is a trader, also made a return. Speaker 0: And the last one I put together, he said it himself too as well. If they don't like my job, they can vote me out. So I wrote we gotta vote him out. We need to vote him out.

Speaker 0: Calls for my father Speaker 1: to tell me that The New York Times is calling. Speaker 0: Hey, Palestine. It's 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance, give me a call. Nothing urgent. Just wanna talk to you. I thought the article at least, has been on online. This could be printed one time. It was good. I need to clear. And, anyway, if you get a chance, give me a call. I love you. But my old partner, Eric, Speaker 1: who literally has done me harm for I don't know how long, is the one taking the calls because my father will not stop sending the calls to Eric. Speaker 2: This is a detail of most, if not all, of the 27 meetings that Eric Schwerin, who was Hunter Biden's business partner, had at the White House, between 2,008 and, 2016. 8 of those meetings were in the year 20, 16, alone. There you see one of them, 229 2016. Steve Ricchetti, who is the president's, then, chief of staff, is now his counsel. Speaker 3: Hunter's business partner Eric Schwerin also attended 21 out of the 30 of those listed meetings with the then VP. Speaker 1: I have another New York Times reporter calling about my representation of the literally, doctor Patrick Ho, the spy chief of China. We started the company that my partner who has worth $323,000,000,000 founded and is now missing. The richest man in the world is missing. Who is my partner? He was missing since I last saw him in his $58,000,000 apartment and signed a $4,000,000,000 deal to big build the largest LNG port in the world. Speaker 4: In one instance, a guy that helped Hunter secure a $20,000,000 deal, at the same time he was helping Hunter Biden, he was business partners with the vice minister of state security in China. That's their spy apparatus, and his responsibility is that the spy agent was recruiting foreign nationals to spy for China. So, this is not just corruption, this is very serious national security stuff we're talking about. Speaker 1: Yes. I am receiving calls from the southern district of the north from the US attorney himself. My best friend in business, Devin, has named me as a witness without telling me in a criminal case. And my father without telling me? Speaker 5: I just wanna pause and just let that sink in a little bit. Devin Archer is now a convicted felon. He got a meeting in the White House with the vice president of the United States. That's kind of a big deal. Speaker 6: And I I'd also like to point out that southern district, he mentions that they that they were listed as witnesses. Hunter and Joe Biden listed as witnesses from Devin Archer in a southern district of New York court case. That's the exact same one I, I just referenced. If I could read this, this was from the US attorney. He said, quote, these defendants orchestrated a highly complex scheme to defraud a Native American community and multiple pension funds all to corruptly bankroll their own personal and business interests. That says it all right there, and it pretty much see shows everything that they were involved with with. That seems to be the MO for all of it. Speaker 5: 6 days after Devin Archer joined the border Burisma, a day after vice president Biden visited Ukraine, which was 5 days after he met with Devin Archer in the White House, British officials seized $23,000,000 from the corrupt owner of Burisma. On May 13, 2014, 3 weeks later, Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma. What a coincidence. Speaker 6: A senate investigation discovered Burisma sent 2 wires worth more than $112,000 to Rosemont Center Care Bahia, a shell entity run by Hunter Biden's business associate, Devin Archer. Speaker 5: We also now know that Hunter was involved with Elena Batorina, the corrupt and now sanctioned wife of the former mayor of Moscow during the exact same period of time. On February 14, 2014, Batarina wired $3,500,000 to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, an investment firm cofounded by Hunter Biden. On April 13, 2014, 9 days before Devin Archer joined the board of Burisma, Hunter Biden and Devin Archer discussed a potential deal involving Baturina. Archer wrote the Batarina, quote, confirm green light to fund deposit, unquote. Arch continued, quote, just spent 2 hours on the phone with Kyiv. I am confident at this point, this is a good, if not life changing deal, if the Ukraine doesn't collapse in the meantime. It sure looks like they intended to cash in on the turmoil in Ukraine.

In a recent appearance on Timcast, Matt Gaetz discussed the demands made by 20 House members to Kevin McCarthy. These demands focused on policy, procedure, and personnel. Gaetz praised McCarthy for reducing the power of the House Speaker and highlighted the importance of supporting those who stand up against the system. He also warned about the dangers of bipartisan support and emphasized the need for caution. Despite the agreed-upon demands not being met, Gaetz followed through on his promise to take action.

Video Transcript AI Summary
Washington's leadership selection system is seen as broken, relying on lobbyists and special interest money. Kevin McCarthy, for example, raised and distributed $500 million in the last election cycle, highlighting the money-for-support dynamic. To challenge this cartel-like system, a different approach was sought. The desired changes can be categorized into three main areas.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: He believed that Washington was broken. The normal system of selecting leadership in both parties is based on the redistribution of lobbyists and special interest money. Like, if you want to be the leader of your party, you basically have to raise and redistribute north of $100,000,000. And Kevin McCarthy was so good at that, he raised and distributed about $500,000,000 over the course of the last election cycle. And so, it creates a covenant that's not really built on trust, or merit, or vision, but trading money for political support. And we wanted to send a shock to that DC cartel system and to say, no, guess what? There's going to have to be a different way you get there. And the concessions we sought principally fell into, like, 3 buckets.

@ThaWoodChipper - TrashDiscourse

2\ There were 3 basic pillars of what the 20 members of the House were demanding of McCarthy. Policy: https://t.co/OEMPqyhvo9

Video Transcript AI Summary
We demanded specific bills, set deadlines for their consideration, and insisted on sticking to a budget resolution. Our goal was to avoid voting on massive omnibus bills. It's absurd to think that legislating involves rushing through bills that are thousands of pages long, costing trillions of dollars, with only 48 hours to review. This approach undermines the value of each member and insults our constituents. We needed a better way to govern.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: We wanted specific bills coming to the floor, we wanted commitments on when they would come to the floor, we wanted adherence to specific spending levels with a budget resolution, and the organizing principle of our policy goals was really to make sure that we would never again get an omnibus bill like we had to vote on. This is just a total joke of a way of governing. Like, how can we sit here and honestly to say that bills that are thousands of pages long, that spend $1,700,000,000,000, and that you get 48 hours before having to cast a vote is really legislating. It's not. It devalues each individual member, and it's insulting to our constituents to suggest that we even know what the hell we're doing when that's the way we we run the railroad. So we had policy

@ThaWoodChipper - TrashDiscourse

3\ The Second ask was procedure. Enough with the 1000s of pages in massive bills with inadequate time to review etc. Procedure: https://t.co/3gN3UeNltI

Video Transcript AI Summary
The speaker discusses two important aspects: policy concessions and procedure. They emphasize the need for transparency and accountability in the legislative process, such as allowing sufficient time to read bills and open amendments. The speaker also highlights the importance of separating different issues for individual voting, rather than bundling them together. This prevents lawmakers from approving unrelated items under the guise of funding essential services. The speaker criticizes the influence of cartels and lobbyists who profit greatly from this system.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: Had policy concessions. 2nd was procedure, you know, having those 72 hours to read the bill, having open amendments. Like, it's the youngest member of congress was not yet born the last time the appropriations process went through regular order, And that just means, like, we should vote on the defense stuff separately, and then vote on, like, the education stuff, and then the health and human services stuff, and that it doesn't just all get mushed together so somebody can vote for a bunch of bullshit that you wouldn't otherwise approve and then say, well, I had to vote for it to fund our troops. Right? That's the game. That's what the cartel builds and lobbyists to make a gazillion dollars off of that.

@ThaWoodChipper - TrashDiscourse

4\ Placing specific people on committees, leadership roles and in control of the finances. Personnel was a very important ask given it’s importance in Governance Personnel: https://t.co/6k3GJUFyuY

Video Transcript AI Summary
In order to enforce the deal, we wanted specific people in key positions. We focused on getting more representation on the Appropriations Committee, as that's where the money is. The Rules Committee, although not well-known, governs what we can vote on. So, we demanded specific individuals and representation on this committee as well.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: The final leg of the stool is personnel. Like, in order to enforce the deal that we got, we wanted specific people on specific committees in specific leadership posts. And, you know, what's the saying? You you rob the banks because that's where the money's at. Well, we wanted far more representation on the Appropriations Committee because that's where the money is. And a lot of Americans don't know what the rules committee is or why that's important, but it totally governs what we get to vote on and what we don't get to vote on. And so, we demanded specific people and specific representation on the rules committee.

5\ Tim asks Matt if he fears retaliation and Matt tells us how “Nancy Pelosi is going to do down in history as the last Imperial House Speaker” and she was able to amass great power and even mentions an interview that Paul Ryan gave about having too much power https://t.co/W4F4SE05TP

Video Transcript AI Summary
Nancy Pelosi is criticized for centralizing power and only delegating minor tasks. Major decisions on economics, culture, and policies are concentrated in the speaker's office, where staff from northeastern schools are said to be afraid of fried food and guns. Paul Ryan admitted in a recent CNN interview that he had too much power as speaker and that important decisions were made without input from policy analysts.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: You fear retaliation? No. Because we built the tools in that would that would allow us to have the accountability. I mean, Nancy Pelosi is gonna go down in history as the last of the imperial speakers that centralized power and that then, you know, only doled out to members. Oh, well, You can go rename a post office. You can go create a task force. Meanwhile, the macroeconomic decisions, the major cultural and policy decisions, All get centralized in the speaker's office where a lot of the staff all went to, like, northeastern schools and are afraid of things like fried food and guns and, you know, people who enjoy those things. Right? And, Paul Ryan gave an interview on CNN Yesterday, that was really telling where he even confessed. Like, I had too much power as speaker. Like, way too many of those decisions were made without the people who had spent years analyzing policies, seeing which programs had varying levels of efficacy.

@ThaWoodChipper - TrashDiscourse

6\ Matt credits McCarthy here for dissolving a lot of that power and agreeing to what you saw exercised today. One Member Motion to Vacate the Chair Rule: https://t.co/UVujTAVu13

Video Transcript AI Summary
McCarthy deserves credit for devolving power, as he reinstated the motion to remove the speaker of the house. This motion allows any member to call for a vote to remove the speaker, and if 218 people vote in favor, the speaker is removed. Although I don't plan on using this motion, having it in place is important to prevent fear of retaliation for doing what's right.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: And so, while, you know, McCarthy, I think to his credit, at the end of the day, was willing to devolve a lot of that power, we reinstituted the 1 member motion to vacate the chair. So, for any reason, at any time, any member can go to the floor and call for a vote and to remove the speaker of the house. And if 218 people vote for that motion, then the speaker is gone. Now I don't wanna use that. I don't intend to use that, But I think having it on the books is healthy for the institution so that there isn't fear of retaliation for doing what's right.

@ThaWoodChipper - TrashDiscourse

7\ Now it’s time for some uncomfortable truths about DC. When Tim asks why were there only 20 members that stood up, Matt gives the reality. Which I believe highlights the importance of rallying support behind anyone who stands up in a meaningful way. https://t.co/Sv3OlhRAUD

Video Transcript AI Summary
Only 20 members of Congress were willing to stand up because frontline members, even those in districts that Joe Biden won, felt loyalty to Kevin McCarthy. They argued that if someone takes money from lobbyists for years and then turns against them, no one will support them again. They rely on this system to resource their campaigns. Some members fear disrupting the system and prefer calm waters. They oppose anything that creates turbulence. This mindset is prevalent in both the Republican and Democrat conferences, leading to groupthink in the unit party.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: Why why was it only 20 members of congress willing to stand up? Well, I mean, first of all, the the frontline members, even the frontline and when I say the frontline members, I mean members that are in districts that are 5149, maybe even districts that Joe Biden won by a substantial portion, right? They had a loyalty to Kevin in an argument that was something like this, Well, Matt, if a guy goes out there and spends 4 years taking money from the lobbyists in giving them giving that money to us, and then in the last minute, you knife that person, no one will ever agree to be the valet for those people ever again. And we need that delivery system of resources. And so, like, it's not about how much we like or don't like McCarthy. It's about a system that we rely on to resource our campaigns. And, I mean, that's a pretty astonishing argument, but it at least has a logical construct. And then, you know, there are people who fear disrupting the system. They think, Look, I got here to Congress, I've got a staff that tells me I'm always losing weight and that my jokes are funny. Like, I go home and I'm the big cheese at the Rotary Club. And like, to every extent that I can have calm waters the better, and anything that creates turbulence, I oppose. And that's actually a pretty big swath of the Republican conference and the Democrat conference, that is how the unit party gets to groupthink.

8\ @Lukewearechange asked the question many people want to know, the answer isn’t but is what you’d expect Another uncomfortable truth about what it’s like as a Freshman to come into DC and how lobby tries to instantly capture you, if that doesn’t work it progresses to attacks. https://t.co/5XHe7Do1VA

Video Transcript AI Summary
In Washington DC, there is a perception of corruption and control by the deep state and intelligence agencies. The process starts with freshman orientation, where lobbyists for special interest groups wine and dine new politicians, influencing their decisions. By aligning with the leadership and lobbyists, politicians are protected and nurtured, but at the cost of compromising their own beliefs. Those who resist this system may face extortion and attempts to compromise or cancel them. If these tactics fail, there are significant financial resources dedicated to destroying those who challenge the narrative.

Speaker 0: Especially in Washington DC, but but how deep does the rabbit hole goal go? Because there's a lot of people talking about, you know, the deep state, the intelligence agencies having a lot of control, using a lot of extortion, special interest groups pulling the strings here. What's your understanding of how things really work in Washington, DC compared to what the average American kinda sees? Speaker 1: Well, I think, like, the most corrupt, like, foray into this is, like, freshman orientation. Because, like, you show up here. And, I mean, you You know, imagine showing up from northwest Arkansas, from, like, you know, southern Mississippi, and you see the architecture of DC. They take you out to, like, the finest steakhouse, the best wine you've ever had, and collocated at your table con Are the lobbyists for the major special interests for the committees that you're interested that you wanna serve on? So, like, I get here, and they're, like, oh, Gates, you wanna be on the Armed Services Committee. Have you met these defense contractors? These are the key lobbyists that round up the defense money, and they've put you with them from the very beginning. And you sort of get the joke that if you give your vote card to the leadership and your calendar to the lobby core, you just kind of get enveloped into a system that's there to nurture you and protect of and keep you out of harm's way. And all it costs you is your own belief set. And I don't think that's compromised so much as selling out. Now, you know, so that is, like, Step 1. And that catches a whole lot of the people who get here. And then, beyond that, if you kind of resist that system, Then they do try to extort you, engage in anything they can do to compromise you, cancel you, Find some joke that you liked on Instagram years ago that, like, doesn't fit with the mores of this time. Find some email that you are on, like, the forward chain of It's like some basis to say that you're a white supremacist or you're, you know, some sort of, unacceptable human that can't be in polite company. Speaker 0: Mhmm. Speaker 1: And, con You know, then if that doesn't work, it's abject destruction through the political process where there are many, many dollars lined up con solely for the extermination of those who push back against against the narrative. Yeah. Speaker 0: This

@Lukewearechange 9\ Matt goes into further detail about how if you just go along and get along, it will be a very easy road and smooth sailing as it can be. This is also very enticing as you think about it. So when you see fighters out there, consider these things.. https://t.co/sifaaTMJBA

If you don't conform to the prevailing national security state or neoconservative worldview, there's a whole infrastructure that supports those who do. They have endowed professorships, think tanks offering high-paying jobs, and a clear career path in government. However, if you think differently, you're targeted and canceled. They go to great lengths to undermine you, and if that fails, they attempt to ruin you.

Speaker 0: Whole infrastruct like, if you're part of the prevailing way of thinking, the national security state, the neoconservative worldview, there is an entire infrastructure there to like build out your career. There are endowed professorships. There are think tanks that are ready to give you 6 figure jobs. There's a career progression of jobs on the hill. But if you think differently, you're kind of hunted in a lot. You're hunted, canceled. They do everything to compromise you. And if that doesn't work, they try to destroy you.

@Lukewearechange 10\ You can hear the same critiques now as we did back then and it really shows you how the “system” Matt laid out really works. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. https://t.co/2jgoqAZWCm

I believe we will be in a stronger position as a result. Some critics said this process was chaotic and should have been done behind closed doors, but I disagree. The American people have been mistreated behind closed doors, so I wanted to voice my complaint on the house floor. Some people said I wasted my first week, but there are days in congress where we only vote on renaming post offices or discussing voting rules. We also have a six-week summer vacation where nothing gets done. Taking four days to establish policies, procedures, and personnel for the Republican team seems like the best use of time.

Speaker 0: I think we're gonna be in a lot stronger position as a result. Like, the critique I I heard a few critiques during this process. 1 is, like, this was chaos. You showed the country, you know, how how rough and tumble this is, and, you know, you should have done this behind closed doors. To hell with that, man. Behind closed doors where the American people have been getting screwed, and so I wanted to level my complaint on the house floor, specifically. I wanted to cite the people that I was objecting to and their ascension to leadership. And, so I didn't that didn't mind. And then, like, it's like, oh, no. This took this you burned your whole 1st week. There are days in congress where the only thing we vote on is the renaming of 1 post office. There are days in congress where the only thing we vote on are the rules that govern the next vote. And we take 6 weeks off every year for summer vacation where we do absolutely nothing. So to take 4 days to say, this is the policy. This is the procedure. This is the personnel that is gonna drive the Republican team going forward. Seems like the best use of time since I've been there. So that was the the general

11\ Matt summarizes well how we should always be cautious in “Bi-Partisan support” of an issue or bill and they it’s always cloaked in “Unity” We’ve seen what happens when Congress or establishment congress people trots out the “Unity” card. Remember the “Patriot Act”? https://t.co/PLfvNSw5Vr

Video Transcript AI Summary
The speaker criticizes the idea of unity among politicians, highlighting instances where unity led to negative outcomes. They mention the unity behind the passing of the Patriot Act, which was initially believed to target foreign individuals but ended up affecting citizens. The speaker also mentions unity in support of the Iraq war, COVID lockdowns, and distributing money to non-working individuals. They caution that when major bills have overwhelming support, it is a cause for concern.

Speaker 0: Here all this time these, like, these geriatric senators talking about, like, oh, the importance of these great bipartisan achievements. But so often, in my life, like, the greatest moments of unity have been the worst for the people. There's a shit ton of unity to pass the Patriot Act. That's that that think we never thought it was actually gonna be used against patriots. We thought it was gonna be used against, you know, Arabs in faraway lands. You know, there was a whole lot of unity over the Iraq war. Everybody was for that. There was a ton of unity for the COVID lockdowns. There was a ton of unity for just printing money and sending it to people that weren't working. And so, like, what whenever they're the bills that are, like, the major bills that have 90, 95% support, that's when you need to be most worried at times.

12\ So to recap this is what was asked for, and as Matt had pointed out, they were agreed upon, and were not given. So they exercised the 1 Vote Motion rule and here we are today. This is why I support Matt, he did what he said he was going to do. Period. https://t.co/gTMjt4n4P4

We demanded specific bills, set deadlines for their consideration, and insisted on adhering to spending limits outlined in a budget resolution. Our main objective was to avoid voting on massive omnibus bills. It's absurd to think that legislating involves rushing through bills that are thousands of pages long, cost trillions of dollars, and only allow 48 hours for review. This approach undermines the value of each member and insults our constituents. We needed a better way to govern.

Speaker 0: We wanted specific bills coming to the floor, we wanted commitments on when they would come to the floor, we wanted, adherence to specific spending levels with a budget resolution, and the organizing principle of our policy goals was really to make sure that we would never again get an omnibus bill like we had to vote on.

The speaker discusses a covenant that was created to ensure progress and collaboration, but it fell apart when it came to money. They express concern about people who didn't want to reduce spending, resulting in inflated budgets. The speaker mentions attending a vigil outside the DC jail and witnessing the pain of those inside. They promised to take action if a certain promise wasn't kept but never received a satisfactory answer regarding the delay of tapes and records related to the January 6th committee. The speaker criticizes the establishment and expected support from certain individuals but didn't receive it, leading to a conclusive outcome.

Speaker 0: Were questioned, and he he thought he, you know, entered into a covenant like that, and we felt like we had created a different covenant, a covenant that could still ensure he showed great progress and and ability to work together. But once it came down to the money, the problem is I think he I think he had a lot a lot of people out there who didn't really want to see the spending shrink. And so we ended up with those bloated top lines. As it relates to the j six tapes, I can tell you I was moved when we went, to the vigil that was held outside the DC jail. And I saw, how the people were hurting, you know, both on the outside and on the inside. I mean, when we someone on the phone from inside the jail, and they were just, you know, probably a few, you know, maybe a 100 yards away from us, but, like, a world away. It was it was soul crushing. And I promised those people that he needed to keep that promise or I was gonna seek a motion to vacate. And he I I I I never really got a good answer. I continued to ask. I asked at least, you know, on a monthly basis. Like, what's up with the tapes, what's taking so long? Why is this stuff not out? Why are the records of the January 6th committee not able to be reviewed? Why are the staff records that I have seen lean, not available for the public so that you're able to make connections between Kinzinger and Cheney and some of the folks who were these so called unbiased people writing these reports. And, you know, the that there is a feature of the establishment here that always, that always prevails. And I think McCarthy thought that he would prevail, that that Nancy Pelosi and some retiring democrats that and maybe just some people who hate me would would bail him out. And at the end of the day, they didn't, and that's what was dispositive.

I’ve been reviewing @Heritage plan #Project2025 and tonight James Bacon was on @Timcast I have been wanting to thread about this plan for the Presidential Admin in 2025 for a while. This is an excellent opportunity. This is the real deep state and the plan to fix it.

Video Transcript AI Summary
Project 2025 at Heritage aims to ensure the right personnel for the next administration and hold accountable the bureaucrats who truly wield power in our bureaucracy. It doesn't involve firing everyone, but rather making sure that those obstructing policy can be dismissed. Candidates often discuss their plans, but without first gaining control over the bureaucracy, no progress can be made.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: With your project with Heritage? Yeah. That's the idea behind project 2025 at Heritage, actually, which is basically an effort to get the personnel right this next administration and also an effort to make sure that the bureaucrats that have the true levers of power in our bureaucracy are able to be held accountable. That doesn't mean we're gonna fire all of them, but if somebody is structing policy, it's making sure that person can be fired. Because, you know, all these candidates love to talk about what they're going to do But if you don't first get the bureaucracy under control, you can't do anything else.
