The United States needs to stay out of Venezuela. Let the Venezuelan people determine their future. We don't want other countries to choose our leaders--so we have to stop trying to choose theirs.

Trump's bombing of Baghdad airport, resulting in the targeted killing of Iran's top military general, is considered an act of war lacking congressional authorization. This action has escalated the conflict with Iran, potentially leading to an endless quagmire. The speaker questions the ultimate goal of this action, asserting that Trump's policies are damaging and undermine national security. The proposed solution is to withdraw troops from Iraq and Syria to prevent further entanglement in a war with Iran.

Speaker 0: Trump's actions last night in bombing the Baghdad airport with a targeted killing of Iran's top military general was an act of war with no authorization or declaration of war from congress. He has put us in a state of war with Iran and has seriously escalated this tit for tat conflict pushing us deeper into an endless quagmire. So the question is, what's the end goal? What are we trying to achieve here? Trump's policies are shortsighted, damaging, and undermining our national security. We need to get out of Iraq and Syria. Bring our troops home. This is the only way that we're gonna prevent ourselves from being dragged deeper and deeper into a war with Iran.

@TulsiGabbard - Tulsi Gabbard 🌺

I joined over 290,000 Americans at the historic March for Israel yesterday in Washington DC to take a stand against anti-semitism, against Islamist terrorists, and to stand in solidarity with the Jewish people who face unprecedented threats and attacks. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were a no show. One reason I left the Dem Party is because it is led by and rife with Islamist apologists and protectors who label anyone who opposes Islamist terrorists like Hamas as “Islamophobes.”

Tulsi Gabbard is attending a rally in DC to support Israel and condemn antisemitism, stating people are traveling from across the country to take a stand against antisemitism and Hamas. She criticizes President Biden and Vice President Harris for not attending. Gabbard says the Democratic Party is led by Islamist apologists, which is why she left the party. Gabbard recounts an incident in New York City where pro-Hamas protesters attacked a van of Jewish people. She emphasizes the threat of Islamist terrorists, whose goal is to establish a global Islamist caliphate and destroy anyone who doesn't adhere to their radical interpretation of Islam. She says this threat needs to be taken seriously by leaders and defeated militarily and ideologically. She also comments on antisemitism on college campuses, saying students are hiding in libraries, and criticizes the White House for not denouncing or taking action to stop it.

Speaker 0: There are tens of thousands gathering at the National Mall showing their support for Israel and to condemn hatred of Jews. One of those at the rally is our next guest, Fox News contributor and former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. Great to have you here. What's the atmosphere like in DC today, Tulsi? Speaker 1: Thanks, Dana. I will be heading there shortly here from the studio, but on the way here, the roads are blocked. People are pouring in from all across the country to take this very important stand against antisemitism and against the Hamas terrorist Islamist groups that that are vowing to exterminate not only the Jews, setting this call to action to people around the world to go after and destroy and kill anyone who doesn't adhere to their radical interpret interpretation of Islam. I gotta tell you, there's a there's a very loud absence though in knowing that president Biden and vice president Harris are literally just down the street as people are traveling here from all over the country, yet they don't feel it's important enough to come and stand with our fellow Americans to send this strong and resounding message at a time when anti Semitic attack attacks around the world are at their height that we will not allow it to continue, that we stand with Israel and the Jewish people. They they are a reminder of why I left the Democratic Party. It's a party that's become led by and rife with Islamist apologists, people who are more afraid of being called bigoted Islamophobes than they are about actually showing up for the Jewish people, for America, for peace and security and freedom. Speaker 2: Tulsi, so that tells us why you're going today. Have you been surprised by the antisemitic rallies that we have seen? Perhaps not in The Middle East and in Europe, but in The United States. Speaker 1: Yeah. Bill, you know, a friend of mine in New York City Friday night, he and his friends were in a van. They got caught in the middle of a flash mob of people who call themselves pro Palestinian protesters, but really they're pro Hamas protesters who went and attacked their van, slashed the tires, broke the windows for for no reason. And and these are things that that we don't they're not things that have happened, at least in my lifetime, here on the streets of The United States Of America, yet they're happening all across the country. I'm a soldier. I I still serve in the army reserve. I've deployed to the Middle East and East Africa. I've seen firsthand the threat of Islamist terrorists, whether they're called Al Shabaab or Al Qaeda or ISIS or or others now. We're seeing this with Hamas as we have for a long time. This threat is very real. It is the greatest short term and long term threat that we face threatening our peace and security and and peace and security of people around the world because of their goal. Their goal is not really about the territory between Israel and Gaza or Palestine. Their goal is to establish this global Islamist caliphate and destroy anyone who doesn't adhere to their radical interpretation of Islam, including Muslims, Christians, Hindus, and others. And that's the seriousness with which our leaders here in this country and leaders around the world need to take this threat and work together to defeat it, not only militarily, but ideologically. Speaker 0: Tulsi, what do you make of the antisemitism on campuses? Speaker 1: It it is especially amongst our young imagine just these kids who are having to hide in in Of course. Libraries Yeah. In college campuses. It it's atrocious in this country that this is being allowed to happen. We're not hearing anything from the White House denouncing it or or more importantly, taking action to to stop it.

It seems like it's a direct shot at someone like you. Speaker 1: You know, there there's actually something much darker that he is he is implying there because the premise of his statement is that, he believes that Liz Cheney and and female warmongers like her are what defines strong women. They are they are hypocrites and cowards because when you look at people like Liz Cheney, she is eager to send our troops into harm's way. She is eager to advocate for more stupid wars, but she and other warmongers like her will never volunteer to put their lives on the line for these military adventures they're advocating in. I just finished a couple of days of army reserve duty at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and yesterday morning, I stood there on the graduation field and saw a few 100 brand new soldiers graduating from basic training, probably a 1,000 family members there to celebrate them, and it was so moving. I believe Dick and Liz Cheney are quick to send our soldiers into unnecessary conflicts while remaining safe themselves. It's not a threat to speak this truth; it's about recognizing the reality of their actions. Listen to what Trump says and form your own opinion.

@TulsiGabbard - Tulsi Gabbard 🌺

Dick and Liz Cheney are, as Trump correctly stated, always eager to waste the precious lives of our brave soldiers in stupid military adventures, but are too cowardly to put themselves in a position where the enemies’ guns are pointed at them, so hide in their ivory towers while sending others into harm’s way. Giving voice to this truth is not a “threat’ against anyone. Listen to what @realDonaldTrump says and decide for yourself.

President Trump criticized Dick and Liz Cheney for advocating military interventions while remaining safe in Washington. He emphasized that they send brave service members into dangerous situations without facing the risks themselves. Trump highlighted his decisions to withdraw troops from Syria and Iraq, contrasting his approach with Liz Cheney's desire for continued military presence. He labeled her a "radical war hawk" and suggested that her views would change if she were in a combat situation. Trump argued that those who promote war from a distance should experience the realities of conflict firsthand.

Speaker 0: President Trump was absolutely right when he said that Dick and Liz Cheney are always eager to go and waste the precious lives of our brave men and women in uniform, sending them off to go fight in stupid military adventures. And yet, they themselves are too cowardly to put themselves in a position where the enemy's guns are pointed at them with their lives at risk. So instead, they sit and hide in their ivory towers, without hesitation, sending others into harm's way. So president Trump speaking this truth is not a threat to anyone. It's the truth that voters need to know before this election is over. Listen to Trump say it in his own words and make your mind up for yourself. Speaker 1: But the reason she couldn't say me is that she always wanted to go to war with people. I don't wanna go to war. She wanted to go she wanted to stay in Syria. I took him out. She wanted to stay in Iraq. I took him out. I mean, if it were up to her, we'd we'd be in 50 different countries. She's a radical war hawk. Let's put her with a rifle standing there with 9 barrel shooting at her, okay? Let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face. You know, they're all war hawks when they're sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, oh gee, Will. Let's send, let's send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy. But she's a stupid person. And I used to have I'd I'd have meetings with a lot of people, and she always wanted to go to war with people.

I joined the Democratic Party over 20 years ago, but I left because it no longer defends free speech or represents the values of freedom and liberty. Today, Americans feel they must self-censor, and we are closer to World War III due to the current administration's foreign policy. Many Americans struggle to afford basic necessities, yet the administration claims that "Bidenomics" is working. This election isn't about left versus right; it's about choosing freedom over tyranny. I endorse Donald Trump because he embodies the party of the people and has the courage to confront corruption. A vote for Trump is a vote for a welcoming party, secure borders, and peace. Now is the time for all Americans, regardless of political affiliation, to unite and save our country. Thank you.

Speaker 0: Tulsi Gabbard. Aloha. I joined the Democratic party over 20 years ago. I was 21 years old in Hawaii. And at that time, it welcomed people from all different backgrounds, different views, celebrated free speech, and and actually defended those whose speech was being attacked even if they disagreed with their views. It was a party that stood up for the little guy and represented our values of freedom and liberty in America. I left the Democrat party because now it stands for the exact opposite of all of those things. Free speech is not an absolute. Social media sites, they aren't speaking to millions of people without oversight or regulation, and that has to stop. I never would have imagined as an American and as a soldier that we would live in a country in my lifetime where we would feel like we have to self censor what we say, that we couldn't criticize our own government for fear of them labeling us as a domestic terrorist. We are closer to the brink of World War 3 and nuclear war today than we ever have been before directly because of the Harris Biden administration's foreign policy. Too many Americans are struggling just to afford the basic necessities of life. No matter how many times we've heard Kamala Harris and Joe Biden over these last 4 years tout and celebrate how Bidenomics has been great for America. America's economy is strong. Speaker 1: Polls consistently show that a majority of the American people disapprove of the president's handling of the economy. Guess what? It's working. Speaker 0: Over half of Americans earning a 6 figure salary report that they're actually living paycheck to paycheck. Bionomics is working. It is actually working. Speaker 1: The number of homeless people on the streets and in shelters across the US increased significantly this year. Speaker 0: Bionomics is working. It's almost as though they're speaking from an ivory tower saying how great they are and patting themselves on the back while people are struggling for crumbs on the streets. This election really isn't about the left versus the right. It's about choosing. We, the people, choosing our government and the choice between freedom versus tyranny. Speaker 2: The Department of Defense under Biden's authority quietly codified its right to deploy lethal force against its own citizens on American soil. Speaker 0: I'm proud to endorse Donald Trump in this election because he is our best hope, specifically because of the leadership that president Trump has brought to transform the Republican Party and bring it back to the party of the people, the party of equality, the party that was founded to fight against and end slavery in this country. It is the party of common sense and the party that is led by a president who has the courage and strength to fight for peace. Mister Trump became the 1st sitting US president to ever set foot inside North Korea yesterday. And this is why they will do everything possible to try to destroy him because this man has the courage to take them on and root out the deep rot of corruption in Washington. My message to my fellow Americans, regardless of your political affiliation, now is the time for us to stand together to save our country. A vote for president Trump is a vote for a big open tent party that welcomes people from all backgrounds and all walks of life. A vote for president Trump is a vote to express our deep love for our country and our appreciation for our god given rights and freedoms enshrined in the constitution. A vote for president Trump is a vote for secure borders and safe communities, and a vote for president Trump is a vote for peace here in America and around the world. Thank you so much. Speaker 1: Paid for by Maha Alliance and not authorized by any candidate or candidates committee.

I believe the Biden-Harris Administration is focusing more on supplying weapons to Ukraine than addressing the urgent needs of North Carolinians. Criticizing them leads to accusations of being "dangerous" or spreading "disinformation," which feels like an attack on free speech typical of dictatorships. It's crucial that we hold them accountable in the upcoming election; otherwise, the American people will continue to be sidelined.

@TulsiGabbard - Tulsi Gabbard 🌺

The Biden-Harris Administration is prioritizing sending more weapons to Ukraine over the interests of the people of North Carolina who are suffering and desperately need help right now. But if we dare criticize the Harris-Biden administration, they accuse us of being “dangerous” and spreading “disinformation.” This is a direct attack on free speech, and something that happens in dictatorships, not democratic republics. If we do not hold them accountable in this election, they will continue putting the American people last.

Speaker 0: I've grew up most of my life in North Carolina, and my grandma, she's from Asheville. And recently from hurricane Helene, Asheville has been totally wiped out. No one's getting money, and FEMA is saying that everyone's supposed to get $750 to help, but everyone I know hasn't been getting approved. But all this money is going to Ukraine, Israel. I just wanna understand, like, where is this money going to, and how come, like, we still have so much homeless population here, our roads are horrible here, But we can't get $750 from a hurricane disaster, and now people are out of home. So I would just like to know where that money is actually going. Speaker 1: I was there in, Western North Carolina about a week and a half ago, shortly after Helene, went through there. And my heart is with your grandmother and any of your family that still remain in the area. I have friends who are both still actively serving and taking leave to go help out there, as well as many veterans who are going to small towns that no government entity has touched yet. Last night, they had a a blizzard warning there in the mountains. They've got people who are homeless, who have no clothes, no food, no access to clean water, and dead bodies that are still being recovered. Unfortunately, the headlines have moved on. Your question is the most important question. When this was posed, this very same question was posed to the White House press secretary. You know what her response was? This is disinformation. The question is disinformation. The problem with this is they are prioritizing other interests ahead of the interests of our fellow Americans, your family, and so many other friends and family who desperately need help right now. And if we dare criticize their failed response that is resulting in people getting sick and potentially dying in the aftermath of Helene, they criticize us for disinformation. This is what happens in dictatorships. Those in power identify themselves as the country, and if we dare criticize them, they then call us traitors who are dangerous. This is why free speech is so important. This is what the First Amendment is all about, and this is why we it's up to us to hold them accountable. Otherwise, they're gonna they're going to continue to put the American people last.

It’s a complete sham — the Harris-Biden administration spent the last 3.5 years strong-arming social media companies to censor free speech. A vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for 4 more years of tyranny and abuse of power.

Mark Zuckerberg admitted the Biden-Harris administration pressured Facebook to censor COVID-19 content and information regarding the laptop. Speaker 1 states this confirms what many already knew and praises Zuckerberg for speaking out. They highlight Kamala Harris's focus on "freedom" in her campaign, including during debates and speeches at the Democratic convention. However, Speaker 1 argues Zuckerberg's admission exposes Harris and Biden for censoring free speech through Facebook. Speaker 1 concludes that Harris's words do not align with her actions and urges people to examine her record when considering her fitness for the presidency.

Speaker 0: I wanted to get your take on a couple of hot issues. 1, this Mark Zucker Zuckerberg letter where he comes out saying, listen, admitting that the Biden Harris administration pressured them during COVID 19 to, censor, and he used the word censor COVID 19 content, said the laptop was not disinformation. What do you think of that admission? Speaker 1: It's coming well, first of all, it is what many of us have known all along, and I'm glad he had the courage to come forward, and speak the truth, especially right now. And this is really important, Trace, because you have Kamala Harris who's building her whole campaign around freedom. This is her new mantra that she's she's repeating. She repeated it in her debate, in her speech at the Democratic convention that she's gonna be a president who champions freedom. But the fact is, as Mark Zuckerberg just exposed, it is Harris and Joe Biden who got him and Facebook to do their dirty work in censoring our right to free speech. Once again, her words do not match her actions. So we gotta turn down the volume on whatever it is she's saying and just look at her record because that tells us the whole story about why we should not allow her in the White House as our president.

I recently spoke out about Kamala Harris being a mouthpiece for the Military Industrial Complex and National Security State. The very next day, I faced retaliation. This response reflects what we can expect from the "Harris" Administration moving forward.

RETALIATION. A few weeks ago, I had the audacity to tell the truth: that Kamala Harris would essentially be a mouthpiece and puppet of the Military Industrial Complex and National Security State. The next day, July 23, they retaliated. Sadly this is what we can expect from the “Harris” Administration.

Tulsi Gabbard was placed on a domestic terror watch list after criticizing the Biden administration. She views it as political retaliation and a violation of her rights. Surveillance includes explosive detection teams and air marshals on her flights. Gabbard questions what other government agencies may be monitoring her. She believes this is an attempt to silence critics and calls for those responsible to be held accountable. She stresses the importance of freedom and privacy in the United States.

Speaker 0: So what exactly did Tulsi Gabbard do to get out of to the terror watch list? It came the day after she criticized the Biden administration right here on the angle. Speaker 1: See, our foreign policy decisions are being made by unelected people in the military industrial complex who are profiting from us being in a constant state of war and the national security state that has more power to undermine our freedoms and liberties when we are in a state of war. Kamala Harris does not have the strength to stand up to the military industrial complex. Speaker 0: Okay. That's wild. Joining me now, Tulsi Gabbard, former US congresswoman, Fox News contributor, Tulsi. Now you serve this country in uniform, even getting deployed to Iraq. Thank you for going, unlike Tim Walz. And now you're being surveilled. I mean, it's a form of surveillance or hassling and and intrusion upon your freedom to move, by the government. What what is this? I mean, I didn't believe it really when when I first heard about it. I said, oh, that can't be. But how does this make you feel? Speaker 1: Laura, this is a clear act of political retaliation. There's no other way to put it. You laid out the sequence of events the very next day after my conversation with you on the air warning the American people about how dangerous a Kamala Harris presidency would be. I was placed on this domestic terror watch list, which is called the Quiet Skies list under the Department of Homeland Security. The the clear, pain and and and real visceral hurt that comes from this is, as you mentioned, like many Americans, I enlisted because of the terrorist attacks on 911, to go after the Islamist terrorists who attacked us on that day, and to now have my own government now turn around and put me on a domestic terror watch list, it it is it it hits to the core and is the ultimate sense of betrayal, but but we look at why they are doing this. It has a chilling effect. It sends a warning both to me and to anyone else who even thinks about daring to criticize our own government, which is a guaranteed protected right under the first amendment Yeah. That that we will be subject to a violation of our 4th amendment right to privacy, through this kind of of surveillance. And that's that's the biggest stress that's been caused by this entire situation, Laura, is now forever. I will I will always be looking over my shoulder wondering if and how our government in any of these different agencies is surveilling me, watching me. Are they reading Speaker 0: my texts? Reading your reading? Speaker 1: I was gonna say phone calls. Speaker 0: Yeah. I I was gonna say, yes, yes, and yes. That's what I would guess at least. Now in a letter from whistleblower attorney Tristan Levitt, he writes that the special mission coverage in miss Gabbard's case reportedly involves 2 explosive detection canine teams, one transportation security analyst in explosives, one plain closed TSA supervisor, and 3 federal air marshals on every flight miss Gabbard boards. I mean, I'm not laughing, Told you, because it's I mean, this is literally like the Soviet Union, China today, North Korea, any totalitarian regime. But Donald Trump's a totalitarian. Right? He's the dictator in waiting. Okay. Speaker 1: Yeah. This this is just, and this is what what we know about, and we know about it because of these brave whistle blowers from the air marshal service who are coming forward. What I'm questioning is what are the things that are happening, in our government that I don't know about? How long have they been surveilling me? This is just the recent occurrence. I would not be surprised to know that there are other government agencies who are also being weaponized against political opponents, those who dare to challenge this regime of the Biden Harris administration. And that that's really what it comes down to and why they have to be stopped. Speaker 0: Now they have to be guaranteed. Speaker 1: The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I cannot be free, and you pointed to this. Yes. Exactly. I cannot be free so long as my government is breathing down my neck and watching my every move. Speaker 0: Well, we gotta go, but we're gonna be following this closely, demanding that this be completely withdrawn. Whoever is responsible for this decision, and there's one person who made the decision, should be fired immediately. But this should never ever happen in the United States of America To anybody. To anybody. No. To anybody. Thank you. I I think this is the tip of the iceberg, and I know Donald Trump, is not surprised by any of this. Tulsi, thank you very much.

I find it insulting that junior enlisted troops receive only $20/month in economic hardship pay while nearly $200 billion is allocated to fund Ukraine’s military and other expenses. This clearly shows where our leaders' priorities lie, and it’s not with our troops.

@TulsiGabbard - Tulsi Gabbard 🌺

$20/month “economic hardship pay” for junior enlisted troops VS nearly $200 billion dollars funding Ukraine’s military, corrupt government, bureaucrat pensions, law enforcement, “independent” radio broadcasters & more. This is so insulting and speaks volumes about our leaders priorities and what they care about most — it’s not our troops.

Video Transcript AI Summary
The Pentagon is finally giving economic hardship bonuses to troops, but it took them a year after Congress authorized it. The bonuses are only $20 a month for lower-ranked soldiers, which is not much help. The White House is against increasing pay until a study on military compensation is done. This shows a lack of attention and action towards the struggles troops face with moldy barracks and infrastructure issues. Leaders need to listen and act to support those who serve our country.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: Maybe many of you saw the same headline that I saw this morning that seemed encouraging at first, saying that the Pentagon is finally gonna give economic hardship bonuses to our troops, many of whom have been struggling under this economy over the last few years, who've been struggling with inflation and an inability to afford even the most basic needs of themselves and their families. Then I read beyond the headline. On military.com, this article says that the Pentagon is finally gonna provide these economic hardship bonuses that Congress authorized a year ago. First of all, what took them so long? They can rush to quickly find 1,000,000,000 of dollars to send to Ukraine. But when it comes to providing real assistance to our troops at a time of economic hardship and need, takes them a year to actually be able to provide this help. And then it got worse. When you actually look at what these economic hardship bonuses are, turns out it is $20 a month for soldiers ranked E1 to E3. $20 a month. That's about $120 a year. It's not going to go very far. Maybe they can go out to eat for lunch one day at a place that is kind of moderately priced, maybe just an edge above fast food. It gets worse. At the very end of the article, it talks about how the White House is opposing, with strong objections, any targeted boost to junior enlisted pay before an administration's study on military compensation can be completed. More bureaucracy, more government studies, that if they actually looked at how families are struggling, troops are struggling, if they actually listened and paid attention to what's going on with our military, the challenges that we are seeing with moldy barracks, with infrastructure that needs to be replaced, with the hard the individual hardship that many of our troops are facing. I don't need a study to tell me that. Why would they object to this kind of assistance being put in place? This speaks to the larger issue of having leaders who aren't paying attention, who aren't listening, and who ultimately aren't taking action to help those who have volunteered to put their lives on the line in service to our country. Our troops deserve better.

They highlight the economic hardships caused by sanctions, such as rising food prices and shortages, inflation, and increased gas costs. They accuse President Biden and Washington elites of neglecting the suffering they have caused while focusing on assigning blame rather than finding solutions.

Speaker 0: Sadomasochism is the only way that I can describe the Biden administration's willingness to impoverish and destroy America in order to destroy and inflict maximum pain on Russia. There's no other explanation for how and why president Biden is so ready and willing to just stand by as many Americans across the country and, frankly, people around the world are struggling and suffering, and that we face this reality that his decisions have pushed us to the brink of nuclear war, which would destroy us and the world. Now president Biden says, well, we must defeat Russia to save democracy no matter the cost, no matter how long it takes, and that we must pay the price. Well, the American people and people around the world are certainly paying the price for Biden's proxy war against Russia. But president Biden, the the bipartisan Washington elite, they certainly are not paying this price. So as this war escalates, and it is, the modern day siege of sanctions will increase. As a result, food prices will continue to increase. Food shortages will become more rampant. Sanctions that are blocking the trade of fertilizers and grains are causing an unprecedented global food crisis that if it's allowed to go unchecked will cause countless people to starve to death. Now president Biden and the Washington elite, they are not affected by any of this. They're not staying up at night worried about how to pay their rent or how they're gonna afford basic necessities when dealing with this historic rise in inflation and gas that is costing nearly 60% more today than it did a year ago. They're not concerned about the fact that when adjusted for inflation, as things are getting more expensive, American workers are earning less. As hard and terrible as all of this is, the harsh truth is that the economic hardship and sacrifice the American people are facing right now is nothing compared to the suffering and destruction and death we will all face when we are trying to find shelter to protect ourselves, our children, and our loved ones from the nuclear holocaust that president Biden and the bipartisan Washington elite are leading us into. Now the president of the United States has the ability to do something about this before it's too late, but he's not. Instead, he and his administration are spending more time and care more about pointing fingers and assigning blame for their failures than they do about actually solving problems and alleviating the pain and suffering that their policies are causing the American people and people around the world.

It’s a sad day for America, as the Supreme Court has just ruled that the government can collude with Big Tech companies to censor free speech. The First Amendment is now dead in the United States. https://t.co/bvLWjfGwcw

Video Transcript AI Summary
Today, the Supreme Court ruled that individuals lack standing to challenge government pressure on social media companies to censor content. The decision allows government officials to indirectly violate the First Amendment by pressuring platforms to censor certain viewpoints. This ruling essentially renders the First Amendment ineffective, as individuals cannot sue to prevent censorship. The dissenting opinion warned that this decision gives the government a green light to censor free speech. The speaker expressed disappointment in the lack of protection for free speech and highlighted the negative impact on public health and policy.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: This is a sad day for our country. The Supreme Court just passed a ruling today saying that our government can collude with big tech companies to censor the free speech of Americans. Speaker 1: Recognize that the law allows Facebook, Twitter, and other private companies to moderate content on their platforms. And I support the right of governments to communicate with the public, including to dispute inaccurate information. But government officials have been caught repeatedly pushing social media platforms to censor disfavored users and content. Often, these acts of censorship threaten the legal protection social media companies need to exist, section 230. Speaker 2: So supreme court striking down today a lower court ruling that found the Biden White House and other federal agencies likely violated the first amendment by pressuring social media companies to censor or remove posts and accounts they didn't agree with. Stanford Medical School professor doctor Jay Bhattacharya was part of that lawsuit and learned via the Twitter files that Matt Taibbi and others put out there that his account had been slapped with a, quote, trends blacklist label for daring to counter doctor Fauci and others about what he saw as harmful COVID era lockdowns. Doctor Badacharya joins me now. It's been great to have you with us today, doctor. And, you know, we all followed very closely, your prescriptions during COVID, which were very different than the lockdowns that were instituted all around us. And you sought to get your, great Barrington proclamation out there and the information that you had about the harmful effects of all these lockdowns, and then you got slammed with this trends blacklist that took you down. What is your reaction to this decision by the Supreme Court today, which would not really was not in your favor, clearly? Speaker 3: Yeah. So we lost 6 to 3. The reasoning that the Supreme Court used was that we we lack standing. Speaker 2: Mhmm. Speaker 3: That's a very, very important reasoning set of reasoning because what it says is that in order to in order to for the first amendment to work, you have to be able you have to prove that the government went to the social media companies and said, censor Jay. What it allows then the government to do is to go to social media companies and say, censor the people saying that closing schools harm children. Censor people that say that, there is immunity after COVID recovery. Censored people that say that there are people that were vaccine injured. Right? And then the government can just say do do that, but so they can threaten the social media companies. And, apparently, the supreme court thinks that that is consistent with the American First Amendment. Essentially, in effect, the First Amendment is a dead letter because the supreme court has said that there's no one who who has standing unless they're specifically called out, to stop them from violating the first amendment via proxies, you know, that is via the social media companies. Speaker 2: So Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch were among the dissent, and the majority opinion was written by justice Amy Coney Barrett. And she says what you just said. The plaintiffs rely on allegations of past government censorship as evidence that future censorship is likely, but they fail by and large to link their past social restrictions to the defendant's communications and platforms. I I understand, you know, that that you disagree with that, and I would just remind everybody about the the Twitter back and forth. We can put some of these up. But, with the government and Twitter basically saying, you know, we're concerned about these. We'd like you to take them down, and then the response was, you know, handled. So this weekly meetings that we heard about. What are your concerns about this decision, and do you think it can be rectified in the future? Speaker 3: So the government essentially acted like a like mob bosses. That that's exactly what the what the appeals court said. They was like they likened it to Al Capone threatening the social media company's very existence if they didn't comply at the census orders. They were not acting voluntarily. They were acting under duress by government. The government essentially acted to protect itself from criticism, valid criticism about its own misinformation, and it did it silently behind the screen scenes. The dissent in this was actually quite sensible. Essentially, what it says, this is a green light for the government to censor. And the government will take it that way because it's there's no standing for people to sue and say, look, you're not allowed to censor. The First Amendment no longer has a a a viable presence in the the the courts of this nation under under this ruling. And if if, if you can't use past violations of the first amendment as evidence of potential future violations, what could you use? It doesn't make any sense. The the reasoning of the court here makes literally no sense. It's saying, like, look, they yes. They they did censor me in the past, but who knows if they will in the future? And we shouldn't enjoin them from stopping from essentially abiding by the first amendment in the future. It's a very disheartening day for this country. Speaker 2: Yeah. You know, you, wrote a lot of your thoughts on COVID and the Wall Street Journal and other places, and people got to read them. But when they found their way onto, Twitter and other social media accounts, they were they were slapped with this label. And doctor Fauci says, show me a school that I shut down. I never told a school to shut down. And now we see the the just continuing damage on our children across this country as a result of these these actions, which I know you were very much against. Doctor, thank you. Yeah. Go ahead. Final thought. Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, if we had the first amendment, we would have better policy. First amendment protects the health of this of Americans in a sad day that we don't have that in this country right now. Speaker 0: Mark this day because this day is the death of the first amendment in the United States of America.

Speaker 0: Here is something that the political establishment and propaganda media don't want you to know. Ukraine's president Zelensky has just banned yet another political opposition party, one that questioned his legitimacy as president and used Ukraine's Department of Justice to mandate the seizure of this party's members' assets. Now this is just the latest of Zelensky's actions to do this sort of thing. He began banning major political opposition parties in 2022 when he also started banning TV channels that were associated with his political opponents, and he took over total control of Ukraine's largest television networks, now controlled by their government. Zelensky's presidential term ended on May 20th. He canceled elections in the name of martial law, suspending Ukraine's constitution so that he could stay in power. And defenders of Zelensky will say, hey. Ukraine is in the middle of a war. They can't have elections. Just stop for a moment and think, if we accept that excuse or criteria for suspending the constitution and canceling elections, then we should presume that leaders in our own country and our own establishment media will also use this same excuse and rationale when they suspend our constitution and our elections, since we too are at war with Russia and China. If you think this sounds crazy, look at what's already going on. They've already started conditioning us to accept a dictatorship by rationalizing their own use of our Department of Justice to target president Trump and other political enemies in their efforts to stay in power.

This should be a wake up call to all Americans. Biden and the Democrat Elite have turned our country into a banana republic. They will go after anyone who dares to challenge their power. We, the people, are the only ones who can reverse this disaster and save our country by voting them out of power on Nov. 5th.

The speaker discusses the implications of the recent events involving Donald Trump in a New York courtroom, warning that the Biden administration is using law enforcement to target political opponents. They emphasize the importance of upholding the rule of law and urge Americans to prioritize freedom and democracy by holding politicians accountable in the upcoming election on November 5th.

Speaker 0: If you turn on the news right now, you're gonna see almost nothing but people talking about what happened in that New York courtroom today with Donald Trump. I think it's important that we take a step back and really look at what are the very serious consequences that have come from this, that extend far beyond this specific, case, these charges, this verdict, and even Donald Trump. What we are seeing here should be a wake up call to every American, regardless of your political affiliation, regardless about how you feel about president Trump or president Biden. What has happened is president Biden has turned our country into a Banana Republic. A country where those in power are using the law, the rule of law, and our justice system and law enforcement to persecute their political opponents. Now this this isn't something that is only happening to Donald Trump. The consequences of this apply to every one of us. Because as we see this new norm and new precedent being set, how can we as Americans feel safe and feel emboldened in challenging political authorities in our own country when we know that they can use the power of law enforcement to go after us, to go after their political opponents, to go after people who have the courage and the audacity to challenge their authority. That is what is at stake here. The foundation for the success of our democratic republic is that we as Americans, we the people, have faith and trust in the rule of law. We must have this confidence that we will all be treated fairly under the law, regardless of our political affiliation or views, regardless of our race or religion, regardless of anything, any of these other, affiliations or circumstances that we will all be treated equally. That foundation of our democracy has been destroyed by the Biden Harris administration. Make no mistake about how serious this is to you and me and to the future of our ability to live in a free society. They have done this through their personal political persecution of Donald Trump. If we allow this to stand, it'll forever be destroyed and our country will be finished if it's not reversed and reversed quickly. So how do we do that? The only way is if every one of us as Americans, regardless of whether you're a Democrat or a Republican or an Independent or a Libertarian, when every one of us as Americans makes that decision that there is nothing more important than freedom. There is nothing more important than protecting our democratic republic, than defending our constitution, than upholding the rule of law and saving our country. We must hold those accountable. We must hold president Biden and his administration accountable by punishing them and other politicians who dare to put their own, desire for power in a higher place of importance than our freedom, our constitution, our bill of rights, our rule of law, our democratic republic. It's not too late. November 5th is a critical election where we have the opportunity to hold these people to account by voting them out of office on November 5th and voting for Donald Trump.

By claiming ‘Trump will be like Hitler,’ neocons & Dem establishment rationalize their weaponizing of govt agencies, embolden those in power to further abuse their power, and may encourage a lone wolf to do what people say should have been done to Hitler before he took power. The list goes on. The the thing is, that's exactly what the Biden Harris administration is doing against president Donald Trump and against those they view as their political opponents. But the thing that really bothered me the most about Kagan's op ed and many others who continue to warn the country that Donald Trump is going to be like a modern day Hitler, is that they're also the kinds of people who and we hear this all the time. People say, gosh, if back in the day, if only 1 person had the courage to stop Hitler, to take him out before he rose to power, then we would have saved millions of lives. Well, this is what they're essential. This is a message that says violence. Right now. Someone to take a shot at Trump. This is what is so dangerous is they're they're sending a message to a rogue actor, a lone wolf, saying, hey, we need someone to save our country from this modern day Hitler like person, and that is that is what should alarm every single American. This is not how the United States of America, is. This is not who we are, and yet this is what these people in positions of power, are doing and abusing their power and undermining our democracy because in their minds, the end justifies the means.

Zelensky's control over Ukrainian media, outlawing of opposition parties and Orthodox Church, declaration of martial law, and cancellation of presidential elections expose Biden's false narrative of protecting democracies. US tax dollars wasted.

Zelensky now has absolute control of Ukrainian media, outlawed opposition political parties and Ukraine’s Orthodox Church, declared martial law, and uses absolute power under martial law to cancel presidential elections. So much for Biden’s false narrative that the world is in an existential fight to protect democracies from autocracies, wasting billions of US tax dollars.

President Zelensky of Ukraine has gained complete control of the media, banned political opposition parties, and even outlawed the second largest orthodox Christian church. Now, he has canceled the upcoming presidential elections. This is concerning because even during times of conflict, countries like South Vietnam and Iraq still managed to hold elections. President Biden claims to defend democracies, yet he continues to financially support Ukraine in their conflict against Russia, which is seen as a corrupt autocracy. Zelensky's motive for canceling elections is to silence critics of corruption and the war. Those in our government who support him may believe that canceling elections is justified during times of war.

Speaker 0: In Ukraine, president Zelensky has already taken complete control of the media. He has outlawed his political opposition parties, and he has banned the 2nd largest orthodox Christian church. That wasn't enough. Now in his latest edict, he declared that he's canceling the presidential elections altogether or planned for March. When you look back in history, even at the height of the Vietnam War, and there's fighting going on in every major city, South Vietnam still held elections. During my 1st deployment to Iraq, it was 2005. It was the height of that war. And there was great threat of violence for anyone who dared to go out and vote, yet Iraq still held its democratic elections, and people still turned out to vote. President Biden claims his mission is to defend democracies and defeat autocracies. But he continues to take money out of our pockets to underwrite a war of 1 corrupt autocracy, Ukraine, against another, Russia. So the real reason Zelensky has outlawed elections is to stop any who dare to criticize the rampant corruption in Ukraine or the war. Those in our government who support him. Must also, therefore, believe that when the United States is at war, they too will be justified in canceling

The political prosecution of Trump is an obvious attempt by Biden/Dem elite to drain Trump’s attention and resources. Their actions expose their utter contempt for democracy and the rule of law—and makes laughable all of their verbiage about “protecting democracies around the world.”

Speaker 0: Anyone who's looking at what's happening with clear eyes and an open mind can recognize how, how overtly they are trying to keep president Trump off of the campaign trail to keep him away from being able to make his case to voters in this country of why they should and left him as president and commander in chief once again. They're afraid that he actually could win, which is why they are They're committing this such egregious abuse of power that cuts so much deeper than just going after president Trump. Because what they're really doing is setting this precedent that puts the United States of America not on a high platform of of trying to be an example of democracy to the world, but of reducing our great country to none other than a banana republic and an abuse of power that we see happening in other countries around the world.

Biden's call to defend democracy feels hypocritical as his administration undermines it. Politicized prosecution of Trump, altering DNC rules, censoring dissenting voices, and labeling concerned parents as terrorists. Their hypocrisy is insulting.

@TulsiGabbard - Tulsi Gabbard 🌺

Hearing Biden lecture us about OUR responsibility to defend democracy as he and his admin do everything they can to undermine it is insulting beyond words. From the politicized prosecution of Trump, altering DNC rules to ice out RFK Jr, directing FBI & Big Tech to censor dissenting voices, to labeling concerned parents as terrorists - do they think we're too stupid to notice their hypocrisy?

Video Transcript AI Summary
I visited the 9/11 Memorial and felt the grief of the families and others there. Joe Biden's absence was noticeable and offensive to patriotic Americans who enlisted after the attacks. His White House justified it by comparing it to presidents not going to Pearl Harbor. It was insulting to hear him lecture about defending democracy while his administration undermines it. He politicizes the Department of Justice against Trump, changes DNC rules to invalidate RFK Jr's votes, targets parents fighting for their children's education, and directs the FBI to censor through Big Tech. His actions contradict his words and undermine our democracy, freedoms, and constitution. It's a slap in the face.

Speaker 0: I went to the 911 Memorial site earlier today. And I got to tell you, Jesse, the the feeling of grief and mourning from the families who were there and the thousands of others, both Americans and people from all over the world, was palpable. Joe Biden's absence was also very is palpable. For those like myself, many patriotic Americans across the country who enlisted because of the jihadist attacks on 911, I find it deeply offensive that he specifically chose to turn his backs on all of those families and all of those Americans. His White House is saying that, you know, presidents don't show up to Hawaii on Pearl Harbor after all these years. What's the point? It's it's insulting beyond words. It was even more insulting. I won't say even more insulting. It was also insulting to hear in the speech that he delivered during that fuel stop in Alaska. Him lecturing the American people about how it is our responsibility that we must take seriously to defend democracy. And he is saying these words, lecturing us as he and his administration, every step of the way, are undermining our own democracy, both by his politicizing the Department of Justice to go after Donald Trump, his major political opponent in this upcoming presidential election, His going after and changing the rules of the DNC to make it so people who vote for RFK Jr, their votes won't actually count. He is sending his Department of Justice after parents who are trying to stand up for their right to their children's education. The list goes on and on. Directing the FBI to censor people by working through Big Tech. The way that he and his administration are undermining our democracy and our freedoms and our constitution, it's a slap in the face for him to try to lecture us when when he is doing the exact opposite.

In a democracy, it's alarming when a president misuses state security to target rivals and conceal their own wrongdoings. Biden's actions suggest he sees himself above the law, not its enforcer. A concerning death rattle for democracy.

@TulsiGabbard - Tulsi Gabbard 🌺

A death rattle of any democracy is when a sitting president uses the state security apparatus to go after political opponents and cover up lies and crimes committed by himself or his family. Biden is doing that now. His actions make it clear he believes himself to be not the enforcer of the rule of law but the exception to it.

Video Transcript AI Summary
President Biden and his administration are being accused of politicizing the Department of Justice for personal and political gain. They are allegedly targeting political opponents, such as Donald Trump and his supporters, while also protecting themselves and their allies. This undermines the foundation of our democracy, the rule of law. If this continues, it sets a dangerous precedent where the party in power can use law enforcement to go after their opponents. The FBI and DOJ are being criticized for being weaponized and politicized, leading to unequal justice and application of laws. Additionally, Biden's previous denials about his involvement in his son's foreign business deals are being contradicted by evidence. The actions of the administration are deeply concerning and do not reflect the values of the American people.

Speaker 0: Sean, let's start with remembering the vision that our founders had for this country that we would be a country of laws, not of men. But every single day that we see more and more evidence coming out about how President Biden and his administration are politicizing the Department of Justice to serve their own personal and political interests ahead of the interests of the country, we can recognize that they are directly and intentionally So undermining that very foundation of our democracy, which is the rule of law. And they're doing it in 2 ways. Number 1, specifically to go after political opponents, namely Donald Trump, Donald Trump's supporters. And number 2, to protect themselves, to protect Joe Biden, to protect Hunter Biden, to protect their Personal and political allies. The American people need to recognize very clearly what is happening here, the threat to our democracy. And we have to make the decision, to to put a stop to this, to not allow this to go on because otherwise, we'll find ourselves in a situation in the United States of America, where this is now the new norm. Whatever party becomes the party in power will say, hey, look. The last guy did this. We can use the the the power of law enforcement. If the FBI is weaponized and politicized, that's a problem. DOJ, I think, has been. I don't think we have equal justice or equal application of our laws As of today in America, that's extremely dangerous to this Democratic Republic. It is. But I wanna ask you, Tulsi, this question. We know Joe Biden lied repeatedly both as a candidate and as a president when he said he'd never talked to his son or brother or anybody for that matter about his foreign business deals. And secondly, that he was never in business. That evolved in the last week or 2. He never was in business with his son. Now Devin Archer is confirming he was getting on the phone calls. You take all of the facts that you've just laid out, coupled with when, when, since when does the Department of Justice work on the weekend to send out A routine memo to expedite getting this guy, Devin Archer, into jail and then retracting it on a Sunday afternoon saying, Oh, no, actually, See, we didn't really mean to do that and he should be allowed to testify before Congress. They're acting so blatantly and abusing their power to benefit President Biden, the Democrat elite, there there's there's very it's hard to dispute the facts that are before us. It's unfortunate that Democrats the Democrats in Congress are trying to do that. What do you Speaker 1: say about your former Democratic colleagues that just, Oh, they were only talking about the weather, but he said he'd never talked about these things. We only have about 20 seconds. Speaker 0: You know, it it really Sickens me, Shawn. Newest Trump indictment is Biden Admin's latest tyrannical tactic to distract and drain resources from his main political adversary. So now anyone who criticizes how govt runs an election is a criminal? Dem elite are destroying our democracy/country.

Video Transcript AI Summary
The speaker criticizes President Biden's Department of Justice, accusing it of trying to destroy Donald Trump during the election by filing numerous indictments against him. They claim that this strategy aims to divert Trump's attention from campaigning and drain his resources. The speaker argues that the Department of Justice has become politicized, going after political opponents like Trump and protecting Democrats like Biden and his son Hunter. They believe this harms the American people and undermines democracy.

Speaker 0: Jordan, this is yet another example of how far President Joe Biden's politicized Department of Justice is willing to go to try to destroy his main political opponent as a presidential election is going on. That this foundational purpose of what the Biden administration is doing is is really the thing that should be most concerning to every everyone as we can see all of these indictments count after count after count being thrown at former President Donald Trump, is clearly an effort to to divert his focus away from the campaign and towards fighting on multiple fronts in these lawsuits and to completely drain his him and his campaign of of resources so they can't focus on on actually campaigning and trying to win this election. The the founders envisioned that our country would be a country of laws, not of men. And what we're seeing here, most concerning as it relates to the First Amendment but but you take all of these different attacks and indictments, in whole, what we're seeing is a politicized Department of Justice that has disqualified itself from being able to fulfill the awesome responsibility that they're entrusted with because they are using it, first of all, to go after their political opponents, namely Donald Trump and his supporters, and also using the Department of Justice to protect the Democrat elite, namely President Joe Biden, by extension, Hunter Biden. So we're seeing how this politicized Department of Justice is being used to achieve both of those purposes, both of which harm the American people's interests, the interests of our country, and our democracy.

In a taxpayer-funded campaign to push 'woke' ideology onto the world, the UN is advocating for the decriminalization of adults having sex with children regardless of the child’s age so long as the child “consents.” At the very least, American taxpayers should not be underwriting the UN until it stops all promotion of pedophilia and sex trafficking. https://freebeacon.com/latest-news/un-says-minors-can-consent-to-sex/

The RESTRICT Act is compared to the Patriot Act 2.0 for the Internet, as it would make it illegal for Americans to use TikTok. It grants unelected bureaucrats in the Department of Commerce unrestricted access to our personal data, including computers, phones, security cameras, browsing history, and payment applications. The act eliminates transparency and criminalizes the use of VPNs, with penalties of up to 20 years in prison and $1,000,000 in fines. Disturbingly, there is no opportunity to challenge this in court. This poses a direct threat to our constitutional rights, freedoms, and democracy. It is crucial that we prevent its passage.
