As advertisers navigate a paid presence on X, we wanted to remind you of the tools you have to create campaigns, with highest degree of control: Adjacency Controls: create negative keyword and/or account handle lists for ads running in X’s Home Timeline. The lists prevent your ads from appearing one spot above or below content that contains your identified keywords or is sent from your specified accounts. You can now add up to 4,000 keywords and 4,000 accounts to avoid, and the controls will apply universally to all campaigns you run from a handle. Sensitivity Settings: select a default sensitivity preference at the account level to control your general ad placement suitability on the Home Timeline. You can use Sensitivity Settings in combination with your granular lists from Adjacency Controls. Surface Opt-Out: opt out of ad surfaces and placements that do not support Adjacency Controls and Sensitivity Settings, like search or replies. Note: both the “For You” and “Following” versions of the Home Timeline support both Adjacency Controls and Sensitivity Settings. Keyword Ads: leverage desired keywords for targeting to place your ads near the most relevant topics on X.
