📷/Thread This viral list circulating online was a big eye opener for me, and likely many others. Previously I'd just google and check the 1st site, which was generally a fact-checking page. But they were also repeating the same lies. I’ve recapped the list so you don’t have to.

🧵My red pill moment: Life-long registered democrat; voted for Biden. Hated Trump; thought he was divisive. My head began to spin at the start of the pandemic. First mental hurdle was that main-stream media and Big Tech had regulatory capture, in a big way as I'll show.

🧵90% of US media are owned by just 6 corporations ('96 Telecom Act). Much of what is fed to us is propaganda. I previously worked for the press, and cringed every time Trump said 'fake news.' But through COVID they all strangely parroted the same lies.
@XvirtueSignaler - Reality Check
#1 Trump called neo-nazis "fine people": This full press conference was the single biggest microcosm of the media being disingenuous with their coverage of Trump. I truly thought Trump was condoning racism because they were his supporters -- and it appears that way when taken out of context, backed by the media saying Trump refused to condemn neo nazis. When you watch the full clip you realize he’s only defending the group that wasn’t supporting the cancel-culture of tearing down statues illegally.

#2 Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation: Not only did Joe Biden lie on such a main stage, he had the backing of the Deep State, MSM and Big Tech to censor the story. FBI had the laptop in its possession and knew it was legit. They falsely warned Big Tech (including Twitter 1.0) that a Russian hack-and-leak was about to happen with the laptop and told all platforms to block any info to help Biden get elected. Once you realize they can lie in unison on something this big, you see it's done on a massive scale with all things.

#3 Russian collusion: DOJ Special Counsel, John Durham concluded his 4-year investigation exonerating Trump from any connection to Russia. In the meantime, they labeled the incumbent president during his election as a foreign agent working for Russia and framed him for treason. The probe relied on the 'Steele dossier' which came from a circular loop of people with little insight into Russia and also made up the Trump pee tape with zero credible backing. Between them lying to tarnish Trump's name, and lying to save Biden's name with his son’s massively incriminating laptop, how is that not direct election interference? If undecided voters knew Biden had a coke-addicted son who regularly slept with sex-trafficked prostitutes and minors, and accepted millions from foreign countries for influence peddling with no qualifications other than his father — or people thought Trump may be a Russian asset, ya that may sway some voters.

#4 Cloth masks prevent Covid: CDC relied on randomized-controlled trials (RCTs) for everything, except masks. There were only two RCTs done and neither was in the US. Both showed little to no effectiveness for masks. Masks are worn overseas for pollution and in hospitals to keep spit away from others, so unless you think you’re routinely getting spit on in real life, it may not make sense. N95s work on mannequins, but when it’s not perfectly fitted and humans have a tendency to touch and adjust their mask it’s not useful. Fauci was telling the truth the first time he said masks don’t work.

#5 If you get vaccinated you won’t catch Covid: It was later found the vaccine was never tested for transmission. If we had an honest media, this would’ve been one of its first questions but everyone lied about it.

#6 Covid lab leak was a conspiracy theory: The US Energy Department now openly says the Lab Leak is the most likely origin. The global elites wanted complete control of the narrative from the beginning and with compliance by Big Tech and main-stream media, they got it. It all started with ‘Event 201’, conducted by World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Oct 2019, meant to simulate what would happen if a world-wide pandemic happened. And the virus ironically happened right after. In the first year-plus of The Plandemic, if anyone on social media mentioned the lab leak theory they would be shadow banned, demonetized or outright de-platformed.

#7 Ivermectin is a horse dewormer and not for humans: Ivermectin was administered 2 billion times to humans, who it was designed for. But like many medicines that work for humans they are then also used on animals. The scientists who discovered ivermectin won the Nobel Prize in 2015, but a full-on smear campaign was started once it showed promise in stopping Covid. If another medicine was found to help Covid the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) would not have been granted. Ivermectin is one of the safest drugs on the market, safer than Tylenol, with little downside. But its patent expired with drug company Merk so no one could get rich off it.

#8 Mostly peaceful protests: Because Black Lives Matter (BLM) and George Floyd riots were mostly supported by the establishment, the media made them out to be peaceful despite $2 billion in damages and at least 25 deaths.
@XvirtueSignaler - Reality Check
#9 Governor Whitmer kidnapping plot: The media was in a race to claim Trump’s followers were dangerous as the election neared. The FBI conjured up a kidnapping attempt of the far-left wing Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Only problem is they later found almost all of the 14 supposed kidnappers were paid FBI informants.

#10 January 6 was an insurrection: Another case where feds were heavily involved was Jan 6, according to FBI whistleblowers. All the footage the MSM showed for the first 2 years was grotesque, but later released video showed a fully unarmed ‘insurrection’ where the doors were opened for most of the ‘intruders’. No one died on that day other than Trump supporter and US Air Force-Veteran Ashley Babbitt who was shot in cold blood by an officer that was later honored for his efforts.
@XvirtueSignaler - Reality Check
#11 Officer Sicknick was murdered by protesters: Footage showed protesters, and mostly agent provocateurs, hitting the police officer over the head with his helmet on. Sicknick died the following day due to 'natural causes' from a medical examiner after suffering two strokes.
@XvirtueSignaler - Reality Check
#12 Don’t Say Gay was in a bill: MSM is quick to demonize the Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, and new presidential nominee, who created a school bill. Nowhere in the bill did it say ‘don’t say gay’ as was routinely labeled in the media. Instead it simply said public schools couldn’t teach sexual orientation or gender identity to kids from kindergarten to third grade, which most protesters may agree with if they knew what it actually said.

#13 Covington kids: Covington Catholic HS student Nick Sandmann was portrayed as an aggressive Trump-supporting racist with a smirk on his face in a standoff with a Native American at a pro-life rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in DC. In fact, Sandmann simply stood there with his hands behind his back as the Native American approached him banging a drum in his face. Sandmann later won millions in defamation lawsuits when a full video surfaced showing his innocence.
@XvirtueSignaler - Reality Check
#14 Jussie Smollett: The former “Empire” actor maintains he was the victim of a racist and homophobic assault from two Trump supporters. But an investigation revealed Smollett was guilty of setting up the whole hate crime. Not before a cast of Hollywood celebs including Biden and VP Kamala Harris pledged their support for Smollett.
@XvirtueSignaler - Reality Check
#15 SUV killed parade marchers: As has become custom with the media, whenever a minority group commits a heinous crime, often race isn’t mentioned. Such was the case when a BLM supporter and Black nationalist drove into a Wisconsin parade and was labeled 'Tragedy caused by a SUV'.
@XvirtueSignaler - Reality Check
#16 Bubba Wallace garage pull: When the MSM demand for racism exceeds the supply, as is the case with most of these, the situations are almost fabricated out of thin air.
@XvirtueSignaler - Reality Check
#17 BYU students hurled racist insults at Duke volleyball player: An avid sports fan most of my life, I’ve grown to hate ESPN and their race-baiting tactics. The godmother of the player brought attention to the incident with the accusations. It turns out the godmother was running a political campaign and likely created the narrative to gain sympathy for her in this victimhood culture we live in.

#18 Many will claim, 'I don't even watch the news.' And I was the same. Yet I still had (incorrect) passive knowledge that everything in this thread was truthful prior to peeling back the surface.

Chamath Palihapitiya thought very little of President Trump when he came into office. But as time passes, he realizes how wrong his outlook was. The ultra-successful businessman and early executive at Facebook shows how a true free thinker can adjust their opinions. The whole All-In Pod also praised Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, a senior advisor to Trump and in charge of brokering peace between Israel and Palestine. Kushner's recent long-form interview on Lex Friedman's podcast brought praise. Chamath: "But Jared Kushner is thoughtful. He's smart. I was fed all these lies for years about how this guy was, like, moping around in the shadows and this and that, and it was all not true. David Sacks: "[Trump] was willing to meet with Kim Jong Un. He was willing to meet with Putin and Xi Jinping, and he avoided criticizing them personally. He didn't call them dictators. He talked about how smart they are. It's the art of the deal. Right. I mean, at the end of the day, he's looking to do business, and we need a little bit more of that. And I think this is why Jared Kushner was successful. He went in there with the mindset of a businessman. How do we find something that's beneficial to both sides?" Chamath: "I think that when Trump was elected, I was told that it was the end of the world, and that's what I thought. And I'd already underwritten him as an F, okay? And then, four years into the presidency, he was probably like a C in my mind. And then, as I get a little bit of distance away, I realized, no, hold on a second. This guy was like a B, B-plus. Like, he was pretty good. "But the further and further I get away from him and the less emotional I am, he did a pretty good job. He was a pretty good president." @theallinpod @chamath @DavidSacks @Jason
