The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory is calling on the international community to support the International Criminal Court's potential issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli security and political leaders. The warrants would address crimes committed against Palestinians since 1967. The Observatory warns against obstructing justice and condemns smear campaigns by Israeli officials. They emphasize the importance of the ICC taking action to achieve international justice and end Israeli impunity. They urge the ICC Prosecutor to swiftly make decisions for accountability and peace in the region.

@ZainAbbadi11 - Dr. Zain Abbadi

🚨 Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory: We call on the international community to support the work of the International Criminal Court in its potential step to issue arrest warrants for "israeli" security and political leaders. The potential arrest warrants from the International Criminal Court stem from crimes committed against the Palestinian people on the occupied Palestinian territory since 1967. The arrest warrants threaten senior "israeli" officials including Prime Minister "Benjamin Netanyahu", Defense Minister "Yoav Gallant", and Chief of General Staff "Herzi Halevi". We warn against any attempts to obstruct the course of justice amid repeated talks about political pressure campaigns launched by "israel" and its allies, aimed at preventing the International Criminal Court from issuing arrest warrants for "israeli" officials. Any attempts to undermine the work of the International Criminal Court and affect its integrity and independence should be countered, and there should be no pursuit to elevate political interests over considerations of achieving international justice. We condemn the smear campaigns and incitement by "israeli" officials against the International Court to deter it from taking actions against them. We emphasize the importance of the International Criminal Court moving forward with its investigations in the case file in Palestine and taking the long-awaited judicial measures to issue arrest warrants for the "israeli" officials involved in committing crimes and prosecuting them. If achieved, this matter will represent a first step towards achieving international justice for the Palestinian people, a partial compensation for the historical injustice still suffered, and ending the actual state of impunity that "israel" has long enjoyed. We urge the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court "Karim Khan" @KarimKhanQC to make decisions and take legal actions according to the Rome Statute, procedural rules, and evidentiary rules of the court as swiftly as possible for the sake of accountability for the victims and in the interest of peace and justice in the region and the world. @CIJ_ICJ @IntlCrimCourt

Speaker 0: We have arrived at the house which was targeted by Israeli warplanes earlier. All the members of the family living here were killed. More than 10 bodies were found in this room alone. According to witnesses, Many of those killed were shot at close range by Israeli soldiers. The witnesses say they were killed in cold blood. Speaker 1: We recovered 10 bodies from that house, and another body was found here. And if you look around, You'll find all these industrial plants destroyed. Total destruction. The Israelis destroyed all that came in their past. May god punish them. Speaker 0: As I'm speaking to you, we hear a loud explosion over there. The Israeli soldiers are detonating explosives in what remained of the residential buildings inside Al Magazi refugee camp close to Salahuddin Road. All these industrial workshops and facilities have been reduced to rubble. There's huge destruction here as a result of the Israeli military's merciless missile strikes along with its artillery shelling in the past few days. A few hours ago, the Israeli soldiers pulled out of this area, leaving behind these scenes of devastation. I'm standing at what was once the main highway road of Salahuddin leading to the Al Magazi, Nus Saredes and Beres refugee camps. The Israeli occupation forces pulled their troops out of this area after causing destruction not only to the infrastructure but to people's property as well. And since all the roads were destroyed, ambulances have not been able to navigate them in order to recover the bodies, which are now decomposing.
