"I've decided to move on" from CNN, @Acosta says, while expressing gratitude to the network and its viewers. Some parting words: "Don't give in to the lies. Don't give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth – and to hope." https://t.co/3OdyLTCGN8

I want to thank the incredible team behind the scenes at this network. After careful consideration, I've decided to move on from CNN after nearly eighteen years. While many ask if my highlight was covering Donald Trump, it was actually during President Obama’s trip to Cuba in 2016 when I questioned Raul Castro about political prisoners. As the son of a Cuban refugee, I learned that we should never bow to tyranny. The press must hold power accountable, and I intend to continue doing that. Remember, don’t succumb to lies or fear; hold onto truth and hope. Share your message on social media: "I will not give in." I’ll share more about my future plans soon. Thank you for welcoming me into your homes over the years. That’s the news. Reporting from Washington, I’m Jim Acosta.

Speaker 0: And I just wanted to end today's show by thanking all of the wonderful people who work behind the scenes at this network. You may have seen some reports about me and the show. And after giving all of this some careful consideration and weighing an alternative time slot CNN offered me, I've decided to move on. I am grateful to CNN for the nearly eighteen years I've spent here doing the news. People often ask me if the highlight of my career at CNN was at the White House covering Donald Trump. Actually, no. That moment came here when I covered for president Barack Obama's trip to Cuba in 2016 and had the chance to question the dictator there, Raul Castro, about the island's political prisoners. As the son of a Cuban refugee, I took home this lesson. It is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant. I've always believed it's the job of the press to hold power to account. I've always tried to do that here at CNN, and I plan on going doing, all of that in the future. 1 final message. Don't give in to the lies. Don't give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth and to hope. Even if you have to get out your phone, record that message. I will not give into the lies. I will not give into the fear. Post it on your social media so people can hear from you too. I'll have more to say about my plans in the coming days, but until then, I wanna thank all of you for tuning in. It has been an an honor to be welcomed into your home for all these years. That's the news. Reporting from Washington, I'm Jim Acosta.

>> @VanJones68 on CNN: Nikki Haley was like "Wonder Woman fighting off like a whole mob of, like, supervillains." https://t.co/M9VPTPV8as

Nikki Haley defended herself impressively during the debate, like Wonder Woman fighting off super villains. She even knew the provinces, despite Vivek's claim. Chris Christie also performed well, being both scholarly and gentlemanly. Abby agreed.

Speaker 0: I I thought it it was like Wonder Woman fighting off like a whole mob of, like, super villains. I mean, Nikki Haley had to defend herself every second of that, debate performance. And she did well. Haley, she actually held up well. She was actually able to pull it off. And even when when, Vivek was saying that she didn't know the provinces, Haley? She knew the provinces.
