Speaker 0: When were you in Gaza? Speaker 1: End of April for the 1st couple weeks of May. Speaker 0: Doctor Mark Perlmutter, an orthopedic surgeon from North Carolina and vice president of the International College of Surgeons volunteered in Gaza. So of all the disaster zones you've seen, how does Gaza compare? Speaker 1: All of the dis disasters I've seen combined. Combined. 40 mission trips, 30 years, ground 0, earthquakes, all of that combined doesn't equal the level of carnage that I saw against civilians in just my 1st week in Gaza. Speaker 0: And when you say civilians, is it mostly children? Speaker 1: Almost exclusively children. I've never seen that before. Never seen that. I've seen more incinerated children than I've ever seen in my entire life combined. I've seen more shredded children in just the 1st week Speaker 0: shredded Speaker 1: shredded Speaker 0: what do you mean Speaker 1: missing body parts being crushed by buildings, the greatest majority or bomb explosions, the next greatest majority. We've taken shrapnel as big as my thumb out of 8 year olds, and then there's sniper bullets. I had children that were shot twice. Speaker 0: Wait. You're saying that children in Gaza are being shot by snipers? Speaker 1: Definitively. I have 2 children that I have photographs of that were shot so perfectly in their chest, I couldn't put my stethoscope over their heart more accurately, and directly on the side of the head in the same child. No toddler gets shot twice by mistake by the world's best sniper, and they're dead center shots. Speaker 0: In fact, more than 20 doctors recently in Gaza also told Sunday morning about gunshot wounds to children. One American doctor told us he even reviewed CT scans to confirm what he saw because he, quote, didn't believe that this many children could be admitted to a single hospital with gunshot wounds to the head. Some shootings have been captured on video. The Israel Defense Forces declined our requests for an on camera interview. But in an email, a spokesperson told CBS News, quote, the IDF has never and will never deliberately target children, adding, quote, remaining in an active combat zone has inherent risks. And the IDF stressed that it calls for the evacuation of civilians from combat zones. The UN reports that to date, more than 80% of Gaza's population has been displaced and the majority of its buildings destroyed, a reality which has taken its own toll on the well-being of children. What about the emotional wounds? Speaker 1: How can you measure that? I can't measure my own. How do you be an orphan, watching your family, you know, melted in front of you and shredded in front of you. How do you fix that? Ever fix that? Speaker 0: In fact, so many Palestinian children have had family members killed that doctors created a shorthand term, WCNSF, wounded child, no surviving family. We're very proud and honored to be able to bring Last month, speaking in Washington DC, other American doctors echoed doctor Perlmutter's calls for help. Speaker 2: We've described it as a catastrophe, a nightmare, a hell on earth. It's all of these and worse. We didn't even have, hand sanitizer or alcohol or soap most of the time. And while we're there, we're listening to, you know, aid is getting in. It's we're we're we're taking care of civilians. They're not being targeted. And yet we're witnessing a completely different story. Speaker 1: For dozens of miles, we saw 18 wheelers parked bumper to bumper, engines off outside of Gaza. Food or health care could not get in. Speaker 0: How many kids are in danger of starvation in Gaza? Speaker 1: All of them. Absolutely all of them. Speaker 0: United Nations experts have accused Israel of carrying out a targeted starvation campaign. But Israeli officials say they've allowed the delivery of more than 600,000 tons of food and supplies, quote, with the goal of bringing as much aid into the Gaza Strip as possible.

Thinking about how often we’re told that Palestinians are the obstacle to peace in the region bc they teach their children to hate.

@MacaesBruno - Bruno Maçães

I have always argued, until the education system in Israel stops teaching hatred to young children there is no hope for peace https://t.co/a0heCcbMAu

Alan Dershowitz failed to substantiate his claim about pro-ceasefire groups at Harvard being "pro Hamas." He suggested reading his book but couldn't cite it when asked. Some people are making baseless claims about college students chanting anti-Semitic slogans without providing evidence. Brie Joy is being praised as a better lawyer than Dershowitz. The tweet was shared for the clip's value, not to boast about lawyering skills.

@briebriejoy - Briahna Joy Gray

When I asked Alan Dershowitz to substantiate his claim that Jewish-led pro-ceasefire groups at Harvard & beyond were "pro Hamas," he first said I should read his book. When I asked him to cite his book, which he had in hand, he was unable to. You can watch the full interview here: https://youtube.com/watch?v=JIhaDx31rOA&t=695s…

Please look at how many people in response are *insisting* that college students have marched around American campuses chanting "Gas the Jews" and "kill all Jews," and no matter how many of them you ask, none will show you examples of videos or articles. 👇 That's insane.

To achieve peace in the region, self-determination is necessary for those living in conditions described as an open-air prison. Critics argue that Congress wrongly conflates this criticism with anti-Semitism, limiting free speech rights. The speaker equates support for Hamas with anti-Semitism, claiming that Jewish Voice For Peace and other groups praise Hamas, including at Harvard. The other speaker requests evidence for this claim.

Speaker 0: To have real peace in the region, you have to have self determination for that group of people who cannot continue to live in conditions that humanitarian groups have described as an open air prison. Is that are why are you saying that you think it's appropriate to con conflate that kind of a criticism with anti Semitism itself in the way that Congress has done, which many people on the right and the left have criticized as a an abridgment of the free speech rights of Americans to associate freely and to criticize a foreign government. Speaker 1: You're you're testifying now, so please let me speak and make my point. Speaker 0: Absolutely. I Speaker 1: don't Zionism with anti Semitism. I do equate support for Hamas with antisemitism. Jewish Voice For Peace supports Hamas. They praise Hamas. They think the rapes and the murders were good. They and and the National Lawyers Guild praised Hamas. And 33 Jewish groups at Harvard I'm sorry. Groups at Harvard praised Hamas. Praising Hamas is is anti, Semitic Criticism Speaker 0: Can you provide a citation, professor Dershowitz, for for that proposition, that Jewish voice for peace praise Thomas? Speaker 1: You're dominating this conversation.

In their desperate attempt to justify the killing of 7000 children, a country stooped to manufacturing 40 beheaded babies. This cruel and deranged act reveals their twisted mindset, as if the truth alone wasn't tragic enough. Tragedy turned into deception.

@briebriejoy - Briahna Joy Gray

They’re still mad they got caught manufacturing 40 beheaded babies. I mean, they had real tragedy on their hands, but are so cruel and deranged that the truth wasn’t tragic enough in their eyes. What kind of country makes up 40 beheaded babies? I guess one that needs to justify killing 7000 children.

@DGreenbaum - Daniella Greenbaum Davis

Stop being so shocked. They debated whether our babies were beheaded or just butchered. And whether our women were raped or just slaughtered. And whether our men were burned or just killed. Of course they don’t think calling for genocide is a problem.

There is literally no evidence Hamas is withholding hostages to keep rape claims under wraps. @matthewamiller admitted he had no evidence of this. But Fetterman is citing a Fox News lie anyway. No progressive should support him. Start thinking about challengers now.

Calling for an end to Israeli apartheid isn't antisemitic, just as opposing South African apartheid wasn't bigotry. Apartheid states lack inherent rights; people do. Palestinians have been denied their rights by Israel for 75 years. States don't possess intrinsic rights.

@briebriejoy - Briahna Joy Gray

No. Calling for the end to Israeli apartheid is not antisemitic, just as calling for an end to South African apartheid wasn’t *bigotry.* Apartheid states do not have any “right” to exist. States don’t have intrinsic rights. People do. And for 75 years, Palestinians have been denied those rights by Israel.

@RepJerryNadler - Rep. Nadler

Folks, this isn’t complicated: MOST antizionism-the type that calls for Israel’s destruction, denying its right to exist-is antisemitic. This type is used to cloak hatred of Jews. Some antizionism isn’t that. Thus, it’s simply inaccurate to call ALL antizionism antisemitic.

During the early stages of the pandemic, a group of virologists were consulted by the NIH. Some believed that the virus could not have occurred naturally, while others thought it was a 50/50 chance between a lab or natural origin. However, only one narrative was publicly discussed. Later, a paper titled "Proximal Origins of the SARS CoV-two Virus" was released, claiming that the virus was natural. This paper referenced a 2014 article about a 2020 outbreak, which seemed odd considering the years in between. Additionally, a grant proposal called the "diffuse grant proposal" was discovered, stating that experiments were being conducted to test the infectivity of similar viruses and even insert a furin cleavage site, which is present in the virus causing the pandemic. These findings raise concerns about the origins of the virus.
Full Transcript
Speaker 0: From the very beginning of this pandemic, NIH got together group of virologists and asked them in a private call, what do you think? And you know what they said? Well, some of them said, I don't see how this could have happened naturally. Mhmm. And others said, 5050, lab natural. Mhmm. And others said, odds on, in lab and you know what we never heard a word about that, we only heard 1 narrative. And then if you go a little bit more deeply which of course I was doing hour by hour day to day. A few days after that then secret call which became publicly known. A 1st draft of a paper appeared called Proximal Origins of the SARS CoV-two Virus. And it said definitively, this is natural. He said, how did you go from a phone call where they say we all know to a definitive outcome well, quite suspicious. And when you look at the argument why it couldn't have come from a lab, the footnote the critical footnote was to a 2014 article about a 2020 outbreak. Okay. That is weird. Wait. I don't understand. At 20 I I don't know. So so there there was an article that was Talking about an anticipated. So here's the story, March 2020, the critical article comes out saying, this is natural. And then they say in the text, it couldn't have come from a lab experiment because we know from the lab that this virus, this kind of virus was not being used in the lab so it couldn't have come from the lab. Footnote number 20 to 2014. I said, what do you mean? Didn't some research get done between 2015 and 2019? Right. Well, something was it makes your blood pressure rise a little bit and your hair stand on end. Then came the next bombshell of the FOIA release and the intercept carried this. And it is a grant proposal that is called the diffuse grant proposal. People can find it online at the internet download it fun reading, it's a lot of high level virology, but it says on page 10, and you just can't make this stuff up. It says we've collected a lot of virus strains of this kind of virus and now we're gonna test them for how infectious they are and For those that don't have a furin cleavage site, we're going to insert a furin cleavage site. Oh my god. In other words, the experiment that could have created this virus is described in the grant proposal. This is care raising.

"We keep reading in the mainstream media: "Putin's losing, Putin's losing...Is it really working?" - @JeffDSachs https://www.patreon.com/posts/67076008 American economist, academic, public policy analyst & Bernie surrogate Jeffery Sachs on Russia, Ukraine, & the America war machine.

Russia is gaining territory, not just in Donbas but also along the Black Sea coast. The efforts to defeat Putin seem ineffective, especially after the disastrous defeat of Ukraine's fighting force. Escalating tensions in a nuclear weapon environment is a major concern. It is crucial to bring the parties back to the negotiating table and for the United States to acknowledge that NATO enlargement is a necessary measure for global security, including Russian security. The idea that NATO enlargement is a gift to Putin is incorrect. Enlarging NATO into the Black Sea region should never have been desired.

Speaker 0: We keep reading in the mainstream media, Putin's losing, Putin's losing. I'm not so sure if you listen to a little bit wider media, Russia is taking a lot of territory, it is taking a lot of territory not only in the Donbas but if they know where their coast of the Black Sea, is this really working? This defeat Putin, is it really working? What we know is, it doesn't quite seem to be working right now. What we saw at Mario Opel, disaster, cruel, and a defeat and surrender of a major, fighting force of Ukraine. And I just worry that we're on a track that doesn't make sense for Ukraine first, doesn't make sense in general, is dangerous if we just escalate and escalate in, a nuclear weapon environment. Oh, we're told don't worry about that I have to tell you I worry day and night about that. How can you not worry about that? How many times have we come to the edge of the abyss and it could happen again. So of course, I worry about that. So I wanna see the parties back at the negotiating table. I want the United States to stand up and say, we understand NATO's not in large. That's not a gift to Putin. That is a prudent measure for US security, European security, Ukrainian security, Russian security, world security. The idea that that some gift is wrong. We should never have desired to enlarge NATO into the Black Sea region.
