I reflect on the stark contrast between the rapid construction of the Empire State Building and the prolonged timeline for a toilet in San Francisco. The project may or may not be functional, and I estimate it could take six to eleven months depending on the weather. The workers seem to be moving at a pace that stretches timelines, and I notice a lack of diversity on site, which I believe should reflect the community. Watching these projects unfold reveals a slow, costly, and often dramatic construction vibe in the city, where inefficiency feels almost theatrical. I can't help but worry about potential vandalism once it's completed.

100 years ago, it took 410 days to build the Empire State Building in New York City. Today in San Francisco, it took 540 days to build a toilet. https://t.co/KcuThCj9kz

the toilet may or may not still be functional.

I believe the project will take about six months if it starts after winter, and closer to eleven months if it begins during the rainier colder months LOL. They have it fenced off and the workers aren’t really going too fast or too slow, actually just fast enough to milk the clock. It’s one of those situations where progress feels steady, but you can’t help but notice how the timelines always seems to stretch. The construction sites aren’t very diverse. I don’t see any Black, Asian, Native, or White people working... it seems to be 99% Latino. I’d really like to see everyone working together, sharing the space and the work, so it feels more like a true collaboration. It would be great if these projects reflected the diversity of the community, not just in passing, but in who’s actually building it. Watching these projects in San Francisco, especially with BART’s ever ballooning budget, you get a real sense of the city’s construction vibe: slow, expensive and somehow always very dramatic. We need to build faster but there are many anti development folks in both the NIMBY and YIMBY crowd. There’s a kind of theatrical inefficiency where progress and money seem to go hand in hand, yet somehow never arrive at the finish line on schedule. It’s fascinating and frustrating at the same time, a reminder that in this city, construction is as much a performance as it is work. And of course, the fentanyl addicts, homeless and criminals will just destroy it or vandalize it within the first 24 hours of it opening.

I live in San Francisco and voted for Trump due to my experiences with frequent burglaries. Assembly Bill 1333, pushed by Southern California Democrats, threatens my ability to protect my family and home. I've had to physically confront intruders, and this bill makes me feel like I have to surrender my rights. It seems like California leaders prioritize criminals over law-abiding citizens, and the state I once knew is gone. I expressed these concerns in my speech at City Hall.

BREAKING CALIFORNIA: Assembly Bill 1333 I live in San Francisco and I voted for Trump because I am tired of waking up to burglars kicking in my door while my woman screams bloody murder and I gotta fight off burglars with my two bare hands. It’s happened more times than I care to remember… and now Southern California Democrats are pushing Assembly Bill 1333 to make it even harder to protect my family and home. As somebody who has had to fight off burglars multiple times this is absolutely horrible. What are they smoking in Los Angeles? California democrats want my family to roll over and let the thieves violate the sanctity of my domain. California Democrat leaders have no respect for my domicile. Apparently, self defense is a privilege here, not a right. The good guys have become the bad guys and the bad guys have become the good guys. Fentanyl's presence in our community, especially near playgrounds and schools, is alarming. Children are overdosing, and this is unacceptable. I see people using fentanyl along the streets, near parks, and public transportation. I urge you to take action to keep fentanyl away from our children. We must address those selling fentanyl, including individuals exploiting our sanctuary city status. Fentanyl is cheaper than basic necessities, fueling criminal activity. The open sale of fentanyl and the resulting property crime, like the burglaries I've personally experienced, are impacting our community. I wonder if those in positions of power truly understand the severity of the situation.

Speaker 0: Really important to me and probably every mother and father in our community and that is the presence of fentanyl on our playgrounds and in our schools. Children are overdosing and this is totally unacceptable. Today on my walk here to City Hall, I noticed many people using phenol along the streets, near the parks, our main corridors, BART entrances, bus stops, you name it, the whole nine yards. I implore you to take divisive and decisive action and employ measures to keep fentanyl away from our playgrounds and schools. We also must address the issues of people selling fentanyl, people here who are not legal citizens, who are abusing and taking advantage and exploiting our sanctuary city to sell fentanyl for $3 a gram. It's cheaper than a loaf of bread, cheaper than a gallon of milk, cheaper than a gallon of gasoline. We're seeing a boom Loop on Seventh And Market every night. There are hundreds of people selling fentanyl for pennies on the dollar and the collective stolen property of our community. A lot of the people who are ransacking our grocery stores, who are breaking into our apartments, My apartment's been broken into three times. I've had to waking up to burglars kicking in my door and fighting off burglars with my own two bare hands while my girl's screaming bloody murder, and that's happened more than once, more than I care to remember. And I'm just wondering if the people on top of the hill living on top of the hill have

My name is Darren Stallcup, and I live in San Francisco. I used to vote Democrat, but this year I voted for Trump. The reason? Illegal immigrants from Honduras have taken over our downtown area, selling fentanyl for just three dollars a gram, which is cheaper than basic necessities. Since 2019, 4,000 innocent Americans have died from fentanyl in San Francisco. The situation outside the old X HQ is dire, and it’s no surprise that Elon Musk moved to Texas. This is a humanitarian crisis.

My name is Darren Stallcup. I live in San Francisco. I used to vote Democrat. This year I voted for Trump. Why? Because illegal immigrants from Honduras have conquered our downtown area and are selling the cheapest fentanyl in the United States of America at just three dollars a gram. It is cheaper than a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk and a gallon of gasoline. Not to mention 4000 innocent Americans of all races and religions have died from fentanyl in San Francisco between 2019 and 2025. Here is what it looks like outside the old X HQ. No wonder @elonmusk relocated to Texas. This is a humanitarian crisis.

I’m shocked to learn that Governor Gavin Newsom has allegedly wasted $27 billion intended for California's homelessness crisis, as highlighted in a recent HUD report. This massive amount seems to have disappeared without making a dent in the ongoing issue, even as we mark the 20th anniversary of his 10-year plan to address homelessness. It feels like progressive policies are making things worse, and many of us are demanding accountability for this fiscal mismanagement. The situation is frustrating, and I can't help but wonder about the future leadership in our state.

BREAKING: Newsom Squanders $27 BILLION on Homelessness - Where Did the Money Go? In a shocking revelation, Governor Gavin Newsom has allegedly wasted a staggering $27 billion meant for tackling California's homelessness crisis, according to latest HUD report that's raising more questions than answers. This colossal sum, enough to fund a small country's economy, seems to have vanished into thin air, leaving the streets just as crowded as before. We are now at the 20th year anniversary of Gavin Newsom’s 10 year plan to solve homelessness. Billions of dollars later and everything has only gotten worse. Progressive policy is making everything progressively worse. We The People of California are demanding accountability, questioning if this is just the tip of the iceberg in California's fiscal mismanagement. California needs DOGE. How embarrassing. What’s next? A run for President in 2028? God help us all. And NO We don’t want Kamala Harris a Governor!

Meanwhile… In California… A group of kids with guns steal a Corvette directly out of the drive way of somebody’s house. RING camera picks up one of the robbers saying “Don’t come out. If you come out I will shoot you.
