Boycott Coca-Cola, Chevron, Disney, eToro, Expedia, Airbnb, AXA, Barclays, Fox News, Google, HP, McDonald's, PUMA, Sabra, Nestle, Hyundai, American Eagle, Carrefour, Bulgari, PepsiCo, Procter and Gamble, Danone, Aviva, Agoda, Unilever, Caterpillar, Express VPN, BP, Honeywell, and Boeing due to their involvement in or support of Israel's occupation and oppression of Palestinians. These companies profit from illegal settlements, human rights violations, and the theft of Palestinian land and resources. Boycotting them can have positive outcomes and promote ethical consumption.

๐Ÿงต Want to help end Israelโ€™s brutal and illegal occupation of the Palestinian Territories but not sure where to start? One of the first things you can do is to boycott organisations that are complicit in human rights violations by sustaining the illegal Israeli occupation. Historically, this has shown that it can yield significant positive outcomes by leveraging economic pressure. It creates a financial impact that can compel these entities to reevaluate and amend their practices. Be an ethical consumer and ensure that your hard earned money is not being misused. In this thread, I will try to cover which entities you need to boycott and why. First up on our list is Coca-Cola. Why? Because Coca-Cola profits from the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Coca-Cola's violates international law by operating in Atarot illegal Israeli settlement. Central Bottling Company (CBC) is an Israeli manufacturer and distributor of soft drinks, dairy products and alcoholic beverages. Coca-Cola profits from the occupation by working with CBC which sells its drinks in Israel. CBC has a Coca-Cola factory in Atarot illegal Israeli settlement. Israeli settlements are built on land stolen from Palestinians and are illegal under international law. By having itโ€™s Israeli franchise in illegal settlements, Coca-Cola ignores international law and profits from the illegal occupation." Boycott of Coca-Cola until it cuts ties with CBC. BONUS: Boycotting Coca-Cola is also good for your health.

Chevron had been the main international actor extracting gas claimed by Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean since 2020, and that it was therefore implicated in Israelโ€™s practice of depriving the Palestinian people of their right to sovereignty over their natural resources. This makes Chevron complicit in Israelโ€™s siege of Gaza. Israel illegally transfers fossil gas to Egypt through a submarine pipeline, owing Palestinians millions in transit fees. By boycotting Chevron, not only are you punishing them for their involvement in the theft of Palestinian resources, but you are also joining millions of others in pressuring Chevron to clean up its dirty impact on the environment.

Disney has gone as far as creating a character that personifies apartheid Israel. This is dangerous as it pollutes the minds of our children. Disneyโ€™s Sabra AKA Ruth Bat-Seraph, whoโ€™s backstory in Marvel comics includes working for apartheid Israelโ€™s government and occupation forces, the is a racist character in any form and Marvel is promoting Israelโ€™s brutal oppression of Palestinians. BONUS: boycotting Disney can be a good thing for your childrenโ€™s mental health.

Donโ€™t let their misleading marketing tactics fool you, eToroโ€™s promises of high returns usually exploit peopleโ€™s hopes and investments for profit. eToro was originally founded in Israel, and appears to have offices and staff based in Tel Aviv. While eToro is not an official BDS National Committee target, one of the company's investment portfolios feature Hewlett Packard and Chevron, both of which are subject to a official BDS boycott call.

Imagine someone stealing your land and renting it out for profit! This practice is made possible through Expedia. Expedia (US) offers rentals in illegal Israeli settlements built on stolen Palestinian land in the West Bank.ย Other travel booking companies such as Airbnb are also boycotted for this reason.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Similarly to Expedia, Airbnb (US) offers rentals in illegal Israeli settlements built on stolen Palestinian land." Airbnb had previously committed to removing rentals from settlements, but due to pressure it reversed its decision. BONUS: Renting directly from property owners can save money and earn you loyalty points

Insurance giant AXA (France) invests in Israeli banks financing war crimes and the theft of Palestinian land and natural resources. When Russia invaded Ukraine, AXA took targeted measures against it. Yet, Axa has taken no action against Israel, a 75-year-old regime of settler-colonialism and apartheid, despite its ongoing genocidal war on Gaza. You donโ€™t need these guys, there are plenty of other providers.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Barclays invests over ยฃ1 billion in arms companies supplying Israel with weapons and military technology. Barclays is bankrolling Israelโ€™s genocidal assault on Palestinians through its financial ties with arms companies that sell weapons to Israel. Boycott all Barclays services until the bank ends its complicity in Israelโ€™s attacks on Palestinians. BONUS: You are avoiding a crappy bank

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Fox News is the most powerful outlet for hate, fear, and propaganda in America. Its reporting has misled the public for generations. Block all their channels. BONUS: You will avoid being brainwashed. There are much better news sources out there https://t.co/3z1G7uINz8

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

You might not be able to fully boycott this one due to its storage services, but you can surely reduce how much money they make off you. In May 2021, as the Israeli military bombed homes, clinics, and schools in Gaza and threatened to push Palestinian families from their homes in occupied Jerusalem, Google Cloud signed a $1.22 billion contract to provide cloud technology to the Israeli government and military. By supporting Israeli apartheid with vital technologies, Google is directly implicated in its entire system of oppression, including its unfolding genocide in Gaza.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Want to be an ethical consumer and avoid shitty hardware at the same time? Boycott HP. HP-branded corporations provide services to the Israeli police and prison services. According to the Who Profits? website HPE was once again contracted to maintain servers for the Israeli Police until 2023.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Boycott Israeli dates. These dates are regularly grown in illegal Israeli settlements. Be careful because Israeli suppliers regularly labels them as โ€œMade in Palestineโ€ to improve their image and sales. https://t.co/822ht93OsK

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

McDonald's Israel franchisee donated meals and beverages to Israeli military personnel committing the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and promoted this extremely provocative and racist form of complicity on their social media channels. Boycott them until they cut ties with Israelโ€™s franchisee and apologies for what they have done. They have recently offered to buy out the franchisee, but that alone is not enough. They must apologise and make it public, otherwise, keep up the boycott. BONUS: one of the best things you can do for your health and is an opportunity to find local restaurants that make good burgers.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

In a major BDS win in December 2023, PUMA leaked news to the media that it will not be renewing its IFA contract when it expires in December 2024. Until then, it is still complicit, so we continue to #BoycottPUMA until it finally ends its complicity in apartheid. Unfortunately, they failed to specify the real reason as to why they will not renew their contract, meaning they donโ€™t plan on offering an apology and providing a lesson for others to learn from. BONUS: why wear a crappy shoe with a puma on it anyway? Theyโ€™re out of fashion.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

There is no reason whatsoever to eat crappy fake humus given the number of original good brands out there. Sabra hummus brand is part-owned by The Strauss Group (along with PepsiCo).ย The Strauss Group is Israel's second biggest food company. Sabra Hummus sold in the UK is labelled as 'Produce of Israel', but it's got a different owner: Osem UK Ltd, which is ultimately owned by Nestle, which we will come to in a second.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Nestle, nestle, nestle, where do I fucking start? Nestlรฉ has been the subject of boycott calls around the world since the 1970s for its irresponsible marketing of baby milk formula. It isย accused ofย "contributing to the unnecessary death and suffering of infants". Today, we boycott Nestle, the owner of the Cheerios brand, Nestle, owns a controlling stake in Osem. Osem is an Israeli food manufacturer which operates in Occupied Palestine. BONUS: They try to mislead you into eating unhealthy food. Support your local business and replace Nestleโ€™s sugar filled junk.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

They might offer cheap vehicles, but Hyundai heavy machinery has been used in the demolition of Palestinian neighbourhoods in Jerusalem, benefiting them commercially from the Israeli occupation. Boycott them until they stop supplying Israel with machinery used to demolish the homes of innocent pal BONUS: these vehicles are not very reliable anyway.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Some clothing and accessories retailers were stupid enough to demonstrate support for apartheid Israel. One of those is American Eagle, which posted an image of the Israeli Flag on their flagship billboard in Times Square showing their support for the apartheid state. BONUS: their merchandise sucks

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Carrefour have chosen profit over human rights. Carrefour made huge investments into Israel last year, opening 50 stores and is planning to open a further 100 by 2024. This did not change even as Israel carries out the modern worldโ€™s worst atrocities and was described as the โ€œmost criminal army in the worldโ€

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

If you are into luxury goods, then you are spending a lot of money. Please do your best to make sure that your money does not end up sustaining apartheid Israel. The owner of Bulgari's parent company, LVMH, Bernard Arnault invests hundreds of millions in Israeli companies BONUS: this will save you a lot of money and is an opportunity to find new brands.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

PepsiCo, bought SodaStream for $3.2bn and owns 50% of Sabra both of which had taken advantage of the Israeli occupation of Palestine by operating on illegal Israeli settlements. Avoid Pepsi and all other PepsiCo products until they terminate their agreement with SodaStream. https://t.co/JhrLx0baB3

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Boycott Procter and Gamble, who opened an R&D center in Tel Aviv, Occupied Palestine, in which it invests $2bn annually. Investments like this benefit governments that are complicit in genocide like the Israeli one. Proctor and Gamble have a wide range of products (in the attached photo).

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Danone, invests millions into the israeli food start up scene. Israelโ€™s war crimes against the occupied Palestinian population did not stop them. If you buy Danone products, your money indirectly aids Apartheid Israel. Similarly to P&G, they have a wide range of products that need to be boycotted if you want to be an ethical consumer. BONUS: you will give a huge boost to your communityโ€™s local businesses

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Aviva invests in companies selling arms and military equipment to Israel that have been used in the oppression of Palestinians. This has not changed in face of the ugly genocide we are witnessing today. Aviva claims that they are โ€œHelping you put the right PIECES together for your futureโ€ and yet their investments help Israelโ€™s army blow Palestinian children in to PIECES. That is not ok.

Agoda is an online travel agency catering primarily to consumers in the Asia-Pacific region, with headquarters in Singapore and operations in Bangkok, Thailand. Booking Holdings owns Agoda, allows listings in occupied Palestinian territory, and after initially deciding to add a label to properties which are in occupied territory, reversed that move under pressure from Israel. I donโ€™t know why they are so persistent in keeping properties built on stolen land among their listings. Imagine a company helping a thief rent out a property they stole from you. Not cool. Personally, I was a heavy user of these tools and while they are very helpful for travellers, there are alternatives. I no longer use them. BONUS: book directly with property owners, it can save you money, help local businesses and provide you with better loyalty points.

Unilever are absolute assholes. Let me tell you why. In 2000, the company scooped up Ben & Jerry's for $326 million with an unusual caveat: the Vermont-based ice cream maker would retain its independent board of directors, responsible for guiding its social and political identity. The socially responsible owners of Ben & Jerryโ€™s did not want their tasty ice cream to be sold in illegal settlements. Ben & Jerry's now believes that commitment to have been breached, following a furore over its plan to stop selling ice creams in the Israeli-occupied West Bank that eventually led Unilever to strike a deal to sell the brand's Israeli business. Unilever basically used a legal loophole to force Ben & Jerryโ€™s to continue being sold to illegal settlers living in stolen land, contributing to the normalisation of occupation and land theft. Ben & Jerry's, now worth over 1 billion euros ($1 billion), says the Israeli sale is against its values by allowing its products to remain available in the West Bank.

Caterpillar, heavy machinery manufacturer, which also manufactures footwear and clothing are among the longest offenders. Caterpillar bulldozers have been used in the demolition of Palestinian homes. The D9 bulldozer was specifically designed for the IDF. Do not buy caterpillar, do not work for caterpillar.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

Boycotting this company will probably help you more than it helps Palestinians. Express VPN is an israeli company owned by zionists who support the occupation of Palestine. This means that your data is not safe with them. https://t.co/w5I9p2Tuj4

BP was recently awarded exploration rights off the coast of israel, which would include water which should be Palestinian controlled. This is blatant theft. https://t.co/AZ6Je7SjNV

Besides being accused of bribery and needing to settle, Honeywell is one of the most serious offenders when it comes to the murder and oppression of Palestinian people. On the 6th of June 2024, Israel launched missiles at a United Nations run school where displaced Palestinians were sheltering. The attack killed more than 40 Palestinians, including 14 children and 9 women. An inertial measurement unit from the missile, used to aid with precision targeting, was manufactured by HONEYWELL. There is nothing related to honey or wellness here. These guys are directly responsible for the deaths. That same Honeywell component was also used back in 2014 by Israel to attack a different UN shelter. Boycott Honeywell and donโ€™t work for Honeywell. They sell a wide range of products, be vigilant.

@eddienelson00 - Eddie Nelson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŒŸ

If anyone is worthy of being boycotted over Israelโ€™s murder of Palestinian children, itโ€™s Boeing. Not only are their serious concerns about the safety of their aircraft, but two whistleblowers were found dead during an investigation. Boeing provides Israel with Hellfire missiles, F-15 Eagle fighter jets, MK84 2000-lb bombs and Apache helicopters. If this is not direct complicity, I donโ€™t know what is. Donโ€™t work for Boeing and check other options when booking flights.

Khamas never hurt America, but Israel did. The USS Liberty: When Israel attacked the US using US donated weapons 70 miles off the coast of Gaza on June the 8th in 1967. Can the US guarantee that it wonโ€™t happen again? https://t.co/EIe7CJcFov

Video Transcript AI Summary
Israel purposefully attacked the USS Liberty, killing 34 Americans in 1967. Despite clear identification as American, Israel fired rockets, jammed signals, and torpedoed the ship. The US did little in response, covering up the incident to protect Israel's image. Johnson faced pressure but ultimately increased aid to Israel and signed a secret intelligence treaty. The attack was labeled a mistake, and Israel faced no consequences.

Speaker 0: Did you know that once upon a time, Israel attacked its strongest and closest ally, the United States? And they did it on purpose. I know you've probably never heard about it, but I'm not kidding. This wasn't an accident, misfortune, or even a conspiracy. It was much worse. Israel actually conducted an aerial and sea attack on an unarmed US Navy vessel, the USS Liberty, killing 34 Americans and injuring more than a 170. Welcome back to the show. In today's episode, we see how Israel got away with murder and not for the first time. Picture this. It was a sunny summer day on June 8, 1967. The US wasn't having a good year. Racial discrimination and poverty had sparked riots all over the country. The Vietnam war was raging, and 10,000 US soldiers died that year alone. It was also the height of the cold war, and US president Lyndon Johnson found himself close to a conflict in the Middle East. Israel had surprised the world and its Arab neighbors when it attacked Egypt on June 5, 1967, starting what became a massive land grab. To give you some context here, Arab powers like Egypt and Syria were backed by the Soviet Union, while Israel was backed by the US and allied powers. Back to that sunny day on June 8th, the USS Liberty, a state of the art US intelligence gathering vessel, was sailing across Mediterranean waters and into the war zone. The spy ship was in international waters off the Egyptian coast and Sinai. Exclusive interviews obtained by Al Jazeera revealed the shocking details of the entire incident. Speaker 1: Our primary purpose was to intercept communications of the Russian spy aircraft as it were at Alexandria, Egypt, and then that was our job was to find them. We were not targeted against the Israelis. Speaker 0: At this point, the 1967 war had just 2 days left. Sinai, East Jerusalem, and Gaza had been seized, Jordan and and Egypt had been defeated, and only Syria was holding out. The USS Liberty survivors all claimed that they couldn't hear anything from the Egyptian side. Speaker 2: The airwaves were dead. The only voices we did get were those of Israeli or Hebrew was what we were hearing. Speaker 0: Israel owned the land and skies, and the Americans had been identified Speaker 3: knew it was American ship that came into the area. Speaker 2: They knew who we were. Speaker 0: All morning on June 8th, an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over the Liberty, knowing that it was an American vessel. Speaker 2: They were slowly lumbering over our ship, and we were waving at at them. They were waving at us. And I felt that we were in we were in great shape because they knew who we were. Speaker 3: They're our friends. We felt safe. Actually, it was a secure feeling to see them. Speaker 0: The Liberty was actually the only sizable vessel in the area that day. The ship even boasted a massive American flag that could be seen from miles away. The last thing that anyone expected was an attack. Speaker 4: Sun was shining, blue sky, clouds, nice, people sunbathing on the deck. We had lunch, and 5 minutes later maybe, here came the jets, and nobody really knew what was happening until they started firing. Speaker 0: Israeli military jets started opening fire at the Liberty. Surviving crew members recount how the Israelis fired rockets at the ship and jammed the signal so the crew couldn't request help, and then proceeded to drop napalm on the unarmed crew. And to top it all off, the Israeli Navy machined on life rafts that the US Marines were using to escape death and get the injured away to safety. They then proceeded to torpedo the vessel in hopes of sinking it. The dog had bitten off the hand that feeds it. And so you might be wondering now what the US did about all of this. Surely, they held the Israeli government to account, retaliated in some way, diplomatically, politically, economically, something. Well, no. The US did pretty much nothing to honor its victims, and the whole thing was covered up, which is probably the reason why you've never heard about the incident in the first place. Washington's first priority was to handle the media. They made sure no journalists could get access to the crew members or their families. Speaker 2: When they took the severely wounded to various parts, they, actually posted guards on the room so that no one could be interviewed by the press. The total press blackout was in effect. Speaker 5: My husband was killed on the Liberty. And by the time I got there, there were any number of people from the National Security Agency there. They were there to make sure that I didn't speak to anyone, from the press, and I didn't. They stayed night and day. Speaker 0: Despite the media cover up, Lyndon Johnson was still facing a crisis. He spoke to Newsweek off the record about the incident, but then Tel Aviv got to work. Speaker 3: The Israeli embassy, regarded this as a major problem, and that, what Johnson had told Newsweek practically amounted to blood libel. Alleging that his blood libeling is gonna arouse the Jewish donors. Speaker 0: Basically, threats of painting him as anti Israel in the hopes of derailing his political funding. But Tel Aviv also dangled some carrots and offered up a few favors to buy his silence. At the time, Johnson was facing huge public pressure on the Vietnam War. Prominent Jewish leaders in the US, who are typically vocal in their criticism of the war, turned silent and stopped the Johnson bash. Speaker 3: Leaders in the Jewish community were opposing him on Vietnam, and they were suddenly becoming more silent on Vietnam as the liberty crisis moves. Speaker 0: And more concretely, Israel provided the US with samples of Soviet made surface to air missiles that were giving them grief in Vietnam. So to save face, an official inquiry was launched. The report was written in 20 days. It did not include many testimonies of the crew on board, no interviews with Israelis, and even the recording of Israelis identifying the ship as American were buried. A 168 bags of American body parts were incinerated, and the cherry on the cake, the report exonerated Israel from any blame. And Tel Aviv danced to the beat, claiming it was a misunderstanding, a mistake that no one was to blame. The cover up was so bad that Johnson broke the long standing American tradition of the president handing medals to veterans on national television. He avoided this duty to shun media attention and avoid needing the liberty survivors, and instead stayed in the White House to give high school students their diplomas. In the following year, American aid to Israel increased fourfold, and Johnson signed a classified treaty with Israel for the mutual exchange of intelligence, an agreement that is still in place. Yeah. It's all pretty hard to believe. Have stranger things happened?
