This is the most ominous thing I've read in 2025. This is the CEO of Shopify, Canada's largest tech company. It's almost as valuable as the Royal Bank. He's pretty clearly saying Mark Carney's corporate welfare strategy of bribing foreign companies to open up branch plants here undermines homegrown success stories like his. Carney is paying foreign companies to compete against Canadian companies. Shopify has shown it can win in the free market; but Carney's World Economic Forum style of "stakeholder capitalism" prefers to artificially choose other winners, by giving them billions. I'm so sorry to say it, but I predict that Shopify will relocate to Austin or Miami in 2026.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
Before Mark Carney was Canada's PM, he was the head of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero, a cartel of woke investors that tried to impose a "capital strike" on companies with carbon emissions. It was an anti-oil boycott that, curiously, targeted non-OPEC oil countries like Canada and the U.S. And it was an extortion racket: buy carbon credits (that's the "net" in net zero), or be blacklisted for investment. So the U.S. Congress (including @RepThomasMassie) investigated GFANZ as an illegal cartel. They even interrogated Carney under oath (where he admitted he lived in the UK, not Canada). See more here: https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/judiciary-committee-probes-60-companies-over-esg-ties Obviously the GFANZ project imploded when Donald Trump became president. Companies managing more than $50 trillion have abandoned GFANZ. Source: Trump's war on woke corporate governance was part of it. But the new energy demands of AI data centres is another big part of it. Even the global warming extremist Bill Gates has abandoned his net zero ideas. But not Mark Carney. He's going to impose a carbon tax ("pricing carbon") on all Canadian data centres. Canadian data centres already had so many disadvantages compares to the U.S. -- from tariffs to our higher electricity costs. It was always a longshot to think an investor would build an AI data centre in Canada rather than the U.S. But this pretty much seals the deal. What do you think, @EvanLSolomon? When you're pitching AI data centres to investors, do you disclose that they'll be paying a carbon tax if they build in Canada? A made-in-Canada energy "tariff", higher than anything Trump would put on us. What do they say when they hear that?

Dear @elonmusk, The way to free Tommy Robinson is through legal action. While he’s in prison he’s asked me to help with two urgent battles. Permit me to describe them for you, and all your followers: 1. Tommy was sentenced to 18 months in prison for publishing that documentary you just retweeted. The judge specifically referred to Twitter/X, and the video’s wide distribution when giving out the sentence. Tommy will likely be released in 9 months, but in the meantime he is being held in segregation (solitary confinement). No man can do nine months of solitary without major mental health damage — it’s a form of torture, like what was done to Julian Assange. Remember, contempt of court in this case is a civil offence — not a crime. It’s outrageous and unprecedented that he be held in solitary, which is usually reserved for short-term punishments of violent prisoners who misbehave in prison. We have hired a lawyer who is an expert in prison law to challenge the way he is being held. We just received the reply from the prison governor, refusing to move Tommy from solitary, saying that he must stay there because of “the polarising nature of his ideology”. You can see that letter here: https://rebelgbp.nationbuilder.com/tommy_prison_legal_fund We are moving quickly to appeal that prison governor’s decision in a judicial review. 2. While Tommy is in prison, he is being charged with a bogus, trumped up charge under the Terrorism Act — a UK version of the Patriot Act. Obviously Tommy is not a terrorist (and police told him as much when they arrested him). They’re just using that extreme law to subject Tommy to questioning that he legally cannot refuse under the act and to search his phone without a warrant, as is also permitted in the act. Tommy refused to give police the password to his cell phone without a warrant (he had both legal and journalistic confidences in it), so they’re prosecuting him for that, too. For each of these two battles we need both a solicitor and a barrister (they’re different people in the UK). So we’re crowdfunding FOUR different lawyers. Frankly, we need help. Tommy has been debanked and deplatformed, so Tommy asked me and Rebel News to crowdfund his lawyers for him, which were doing at http://www.SaveTommy.com They really are throwing the unlimited resources of the state against him. Not for a crime, but for a political and journalistic disagreement. I don’t think you’ll be able to change the mind of Keir Starmer, the authoritarian Prime Minister who used to be the UK’s chief prosecutor. But if you could help direct attention towards our legal crowdfund, I think we have a reasonable chance to get him into a more sensible prison for the rest of his sentence, and to swat down this bogus Terrorism Act charge. Thanks! Ezra Levant Rebel News

I’m out of jail. But I’m back in court. This morning at 9:30 a.m. ET, Trudeau’s hyper-partisan @ElectionsCan_E is prosecuting me at the Federal Court of Appeal — my fourth hearing. They claim my bestselling book, The Libranos, published five years ago, was an illegal campaign interference. They’ve put a dozen people and a million dollars into pursuing me. This is the same Elections Canada that refused to investigate Chinese Communist Party interference in 11 different electoral districts in Canada. I’ll be live-tweeting the hearing; I’m pretty sure no so-called civil liberties groups or journalism groups will be there, because they’re too busy asking Trudeau for hand-outs. I mean, they were fine with me being jailed, why would they care about my book being banned? I’ll have one lawyer; Trudeau will have both Justice Department lawyers as well as expensive Bay Street lawyers he’s hired — I predict it will be six against one. I had my cell phone camera on during the pro-Hamas protest. I assumed the video was lost when I was arrested and my phone was taken from me. But I checked last night and it was all saved. The police said and did some absolutely shocking things here: https://t.co/yp41KB0fQZ
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
I was arrested two hours ago, handcuffed, searched and jailed for “causing a disturbance”. I was just released moments ago. I wasn’t causing a disturbance — I was standing by myself on a public sidewalk, silently filming a grotesque pro-Hamas mannequin in a Jewish neighbourhood — a reenactment of Hamas leader Yayha Sinwar. It would be like someone reenacting Hitler — and police were stopping me from filming it. I was pushed away from it by one officer. And another officer, named Macduff, said if I didn’t go to a special “free speech zone” they’d set up far away, I’d be arrested. I told him Canada was my free speech zone, I was a citizen and taxpayer, and I would not get off the sidewalk. Macduff said that was causing a reaction. I said the hysterical reaction of foreign thugs who hate Jews (and most other Canadians) doesn’t give them a veto over my Charter rights. Macduff said he “was the law”. I told him no, he was a servant of the law. So he arrested me and had me taken to jail. I was just released and I’ll have more to say — including in a lawsuit against Macduff and @TorontoPolice for violating my rights and refusing to protect me. Go to http://www.SaveEzra.com for more updates, and to help. (Thanks.)

Jordan Peterson was put through the ringer by the Ontario College of Psychologists because a couple of cranks didn't like some of his tweets. But a new law (C-63) would allow literally anyone to take him to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal for every tweet or YouTube video he publishes, not just in the future, but anything he's done historically that's still available online. Each complaint is free to file. It's not like a civil lawsuit where you have to hire a lawyer and pay a filing fee, etc. The government helps you if you need it. Each complaint can result in a.) a $20,000 fine payable to the complainant and b.) a $50,000 fine payable to the government. So it's the Trump treatment. Overwhelm the target with endless nuisance suits that take time and money to fight. Even if the complaints are dismissed, you're still at a loss. And if literally hundreds of complaints are filed against someone like Prof. Peterson, even if only 5% are upheld, that's economically devastating. As you can see by the screenshots below, the identity of the complainants, and anyone who gives evidence, can be kept a secret -- from the public, and even from the target himself. It could be the government, or someone paid by the government, filing complaints; it could be a political or academic rival; it could be a disgruntled neighbour! Complaints can be filed by literally anyone -- you don't need to have standing, you don't need to have been mentioned by Prof. Peterson. You just have to want to deploy the bureaucracy against him. The certainty of this happening is 100% -- it already has been happening on a small scale. But this law has invited every grifter, grumbler and hater to take their quarrels from the YouTube comments section into the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. I mean, you could write a mean tweet about Prof. Peterson. Or you could just turn that tweet into a "hate speech" complaint, and force him to lawyer up and reply -- and possibly pay you $20,000 per complaint. Trudeau is obsessed by Trump. He's been watching how corrupted courts and bureaucrats have declared "lawfare" against him. This is the Canadian version of that, but instead of a few spectacular criminal prosecutions, this will unleash literally hundreds, likely thousands, of "small" attacks on Trudeau's enemies. But how many people, even at Prof. Peterson's level of success, could withstand a barrage of $70,000 human rights penalties? ($20,000 payable to the complainant, $50,000 payable to the government.) Learn more at http://www.StopTheCensorship.ca I use Prof. Peterson as an example because he's high profile, he's already been attacked by the College of Psychologists, and he absolutely will be swarmed. But this law is also targeted at "normal" people, for whom a single complaint would devastate their lives and knock them out of public life.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
In Canada, the Trudeau government has been quietly paying left-wing lobby groups hundreds of thousands of dollars to file nuisance lawsuits against Trudeau's enemies. This takes the form of complaints to police and legal threats to social media companies demanding they censor conservatives. Attached is a document obtained by @RebelNewsOnline through an Access to Information request clearly showing that. Trudeau is using tax dollars to pay third parties to harass his political enemies. Note that the NGO in question, the ironically named @antihateca, wanted to keep this document "privileged and confidential" -- what they're doing was a secret. But what Trudeau's new bill C-63 does is it removes the need for race hustlers and grifters to apply for government grants. Now they can just file complaints -- by the dozen, by the hundred, by the thousand -- to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, and extract the money from their political targets directly. C-63 lets anyone who files a complaint demand up to $20,000 per complaint from their targets. Conservatives will have to pay for their own persecution, like when Stalin sent the families of the people he had executed a bill for the bullet they used. Now the vexatious litigants on the left can get their money directly from their enemies list. cc. @jordanbpeterson
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
Here’s how they’re going to get you, @jordanbpeterson. For years the Canadian Human Rights Act (CHRA) has banned discrimination against people based on “gender identity or expression”. You of course have never discriminated against anyone. But this new bill adds s. 13 to the CHRA, which now says that mere speech is considered discrimination if it is “likely to foment detestation or vilification of an individual or group”. So now, if someone watches one of your YouTube videos or reads on of your tweets about, say, transgender athletes changing in the girls change room, and as a result is “likely” to have hard feelings towards trans people, that’s hate speech. That’s step 1. Here’s step 2. Any member of the public (including non-citizens) can lodge a complaint against you to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal — an activist quasi-judicial tribunal run by non-judges, appointed by Trudeau. They can get up to $20,000 per complaint from you — and they don’t have to be the “victim”. (There doesn’t have to be a victim at all — remember it’s a future crime. They only have to show that your tweet or video is “likely to” (i.e might) cause one person to have hard feelings about another person. $20,000 that you’d pay the complainant — plus $50,000 in fines to the government. Per complaint. So there could be a new complaint for every tweet you make. Every video. And the complainants can be professional busybodies and activists — they don’t have to be a “victim”. Why wouldn’t woke activists literally file a CHRA complaint after every single thing you do or say on social media? It’s free. There’s no limit. Even if you “win”, you lose — the process is the punishment. And of course, they’re going to win. This will become an industry — to enrich woke grifters and destroy you financially. But here’s the truly amazing part: the complainants can keep their identity a secret from you. Secret testimony from secret witnesses — who get paid up to $20,000 to take a run at you. That’s how they’re going to come for you — and for us at @RebelNewsOnline. See screenshots. 1. Source: https://www.parl.ca/DocumentViewer/en/44-1/bill/C-63/first-reading 2. It gets worse. The bill creates a pre-crime called “fear of hate crime”. You can be put under house arrest, with an ankle monitor, forced to give blood samples, banned from talking to any person, etc. if someone “fears” you’ll say something hateful. https://t.co/QU3DAoykZA

1. Governments hide things by announcing them on Friday afternoons. Last night, Trudeau announced he now requires YouTubers, livestreamers & podcasters (including those streaming on X/Twitter) to “register” with the government. It’s part of his Internet censorship strategy.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
2. This shocking decision was not debated, let alone voted on, by Parliament. It’s a decree, like Castro would do. Trudeau used his hand-picked appointees at the CRTC — the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission — to announce this hijacking.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
3. The CRTC is a relic of the age of radio and TV, created in 1976. It’s been for more than a decade — other than for handing out lucrative monopolies to Canada’s cell phone cartel. Canadians literally pay the highest phone rates in the world: https://research.rewheel.fi/downloads/The_state_of_4G_5G_pricing_17_release_1H2022_countries_PUBLIC_VERSION.pdf
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
4. The CRTC is intensely political. It killed off the Sun News Network — dubbed “Fox News North” — in 2015. Sun News wanted the same regulatory treatment as the two left-wing all-news channels, and the CRTC denied it. https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/were-here-because-sun-news-has-not-been-getting-a-fair-shake/wcm/10d4475a-3aa9-4ccf-b8bd-97a6d90c78fb/amp/
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
5. I used to work at Sun News; out of its ashes we built Rebel News. We were rebelling against three things — Media Party groupthink; expensive TV infrastructure; and CRTC regulation. On the Internet we were free. Within a few years we had a much larger reach than Sun News had.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
6. Other online news sources have grown in Canada, too, as the legacy media have shrunk. News outlets like True North & Western Standard. And of course marquee names like Dr. Jordan Peterson, a global talent who just happens to be based in Canada and occasionally tweaks Trudeau.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
7. Trudeau’s approach since taking power has been to subsidize the dying Regime Media. He gives $1.5B/year to the CBC state broadcaster and annual bail-outs to the rest of the media. For about thirty seconds they objected. Now they beg for more: https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5147761
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
8. Despite sending billions of dollars to what Trudeau calls “trustworthy” media, fewer people than ever watch regime news. And it hasn’t helped working journalists — executives pocket big bonuses while reporters are laid off: https://www.unifor.org/news/all-news/metroland-media-betrays-workers-and-communities-local-news-cuts
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
9. By the way, the bailout media don’t just fail despite Trudeau’s cash. They fail because of it. Very few news organizations permit critical coverage of Trudeau anymore, and people can sense it. I mean, here’s the state broadcaster’s chief Ottawa reporter.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
@CBCNews 10. Rebel News started in my living room just eight years ago but 41% of Canadians already trust us MORE than age-old legacy media like the CBC, CTV, the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail. Here’s a Léger poll showing that and other interesting things: http://www.RebelPoll.com
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
@CBCNews 11. My point is: Trudeau is a control freak when it comes to the news media. He routinely bans journalists he doesn’t like from attending press conferences or even attending election debates. Twice the Federal a court has had to order him to accredit us: https://www.thestar.com/politics/federal-elections/federal-court-grants-rebel-news-access-to-cover-federal-leaders-debates/article_c7118d3f-6672-59b1-ae93-b04fd3ddd06b.amp.html
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
@CBCNews 12. But despite his bans, and his massive subsidies to his state broadcasters and the bail-out journalists at the newspapers, independent media led by citizen journalists continue to thrive and legacy media continues to decline. That’s where last night’s decree comes in.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
13. Trudeau recently rammed through Bill C-11. It put the entire Internet under the control of his CRTC appointees. Here's the text of C-11: https://www.parl.ca/DocumentViewer/en/44-1/bill/C-11/royal-assent One of their new powers is shocking: Trudeau can order Facebook/Google/YouTube to alter their algorithms.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
14. S. 9.1(1)(e) says: "The Commission may... make orders imposing conditions... including... the presentation of programs and programming services for selection by the public, including the showcasing and the discoverability of Canadian programs..." That's a search algorithm.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
15. YouTube, Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., already boost or throttle content based on their own criteria, and it's usually hostile to conservatives or contrarians, especially on issues like vaccines or transgenderism. But this new law puts Trudeau in charge.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
16. Trudeau has now given himself the power to alter the "discoverability" of Internet content. He already said he's going to decide which news is "trusted" and which isn't -- he said that in his very first media bail-out announcement: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-media-sector-gets-595-million-package-in-ottawas-fiscal-update/
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
17. That 2018 story reported: The government said the package will aim to help “trusted” news organizations, but will leave it to the media industry to define the application of the new initiatives. That was five years ago. Trudeau has lost patience. He's now going to decide.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
18. Trudeau introduced a news license called a QCJO licence: Qualified Canadian Journalism Organization. Trudeau gave himself the power to give or deny that licence: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/businesses/topics/corporations/business-tax-credits/qualified-canadian-journalism-organization.html Until now, that licence mainly meant you got tax relief. Now it means something else.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
19. Here’s Trudeau’s cabinet minister, Steven Guilbeault, three years ago, taking about forcing journalists to get a news licence.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
20. There was almost no pushback from the regime media, because they knew what it really meant — they’d get the licence, because Trudeau “trusts” them, but independent competitors would be shut down. It would ban their upstart competitors.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
21. There used to be some independent journalism NGOs in Canada, but they have been transformed into grant-seeking lobby groups who exist only to extract more bail-outs from Trudeau. They’d never criticize him — they are in perpetual begging mode and it shows.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
22. Rebel News applied for a QCJO news licence and we were turned down. Laughably, Trudeau's bureaucrats claim less than 1% of what we publish is news. I'm not even sure how that's possible, but that was their excuse. We're suing them -- learn more here: https://www.rebelnews.com/rebel_news_is_suing_justin_trudeau
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
23. Friday's announcement demanding that live streamers register with the govt is shocking but not surprising. Trudeau has been working on coopting the media since he was elected. He's about half-way through his plan. 99% of journalists are on the inside, so they're silent.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
24. Bill C-11 gave Trudeau power over the Internet, including altering search algorithms. C-18 gave Trudeau the power to collect a "link" tax from Facebook and Google, and to use it for a slush fund for "trusted" media. Those are both law and there's more coming.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
25. Trudeau introduced another censorship bill, called C-36. It died on the order paper, but he says it will be back. It includes secret trials for Internet "hate", and punishments including house arrest, ankle monitors and even jail: https://www.rebelnews.com/bill_c36_explained_the_trudeau_liberals_plan_to_censor_you
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
26. The final part in Trudeau's censorship plan is the most draconian of all, called the "Online Harms Act." In a confidential memo, Twitter said it was worse than anything they'd seen outside China, Iran & North Korea. And that was pre-Elon Musk Twitter! https://www.michaelgeist.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Twitter-Submission-Online-Harms-Consultation.pdf
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
27. In this final bill, Trudeau proposes to give himself what his cabinet calls the "nuclear" option, namely the power to actually ban entire websites from existing in Canada -- like China does with its "Great Firewall". You can read more about it here: https://www.rebelnews.com/the_worst_part_of_trudeaus_censorship_plan_a_digital_safety_commissioner
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
28. So that's what's happening. That's what Jordan Peterson is concerned about: You don't force journalists to "register" with the government unless you plan to regulate them, punish them, throttle them, ban them and even jail them.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
29. It's not just Jordan Peterson who will be forced to register, because of his Canadian residence. American broadcasters with Canadian audiences will, also. Nineteen out of the top 30 podcasts in Canada are American: https://chartable.com/charts/itunes/ca-news-podcasts They're covered by this decree.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
30. It will be interesting to see if American podcasters will save us, because the Canadian media won't, for the reasons outlined above. Forcing American media to "register" is anathema to the First Amendment, and likely a violation of the USMCA trade agreement.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
31. Trudeau doesn't care about much. He's known as a shallow man with no policy depth. He's 100% about spin and controlling the message. He has put forward not one but FOUR censorship bills; that's how obsessed he is. He really is like his father figure, isn't he?
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
32. We know that Trudeau has a hatred for Rebel News. He says so — look at his abusive answer to Alexa Lavoie, mere hours after the Federal Court found that he had violated our constitutional rights and ordered him to accredit us at this debate:

I hope I'm wrong. But I think Trudeau and Zelenskyy just did something terrible. Let me explain it in reverse. 1. In 2020, Canada's leading military affairs reporter wrote an article in a military journal about how Canada brought in 2,000 Nazis after the Second World War.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
2. The Nazis were in Hitler's 14th Waffen SS Division Galicia. According to military historian/journalist David Pugliese, they were able to sneak into Canada by changing their name and hiding their past.

3. Here's what Pugliese wrote in the military journal, Esprite de Corps: In an attempt to hide the SS connection, the unit had changed its name in the last few days of the war to the First Division Ukrainian National Army. Source: espritdecorps.ca/history-featur…

4. That was nearly 80 years ago, so most of those Nazis have since died. But one of them is apparently still alive -- Yaroslav Hunka. And if I'm reading the news correctly, Trudeau invited him as an honoured guest today, to Zelenskyy's visit to Canada's Parliament.

5. The Canadian Press wire service circulated this photo and caption. (This version is taken from The Toronto Star, but it was in many places). Look at the caption on the bottom.

6. It says, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recognize Yaroslav Hunka, who was in attendance and fought with the First Ukrainian Division in the Second World War before later immigrating to Canada, in the House of Commons on Friday.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
7. Can that really be true? Did Justin Trudeau really invite a Nazi SS soldier from the Second World War to Parliament as an honoured guest? Please tell me I've got a fact wrong here. cc. @LevittMichael @AHousefather @mgeist @CIJAinfo @bnaibrithcanada
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
@LevittMichael @AHousefather @mgeist @CIJAinfo @bnaibrithcanada 8. Hunka was introduced to Parliament as a 98-year-old soldier “who fought… against the Russians… a hero.”
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
9. Three months ago, Trudeau went to Ukraine and met with Andriy Melnyk, a Holocaust denier who was fired by Zelenskyy after he said Israel and Poland were lying about Jewish deaths: https://x.com/ezralevant/status/1667575268309966848?s=20
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
10. And last year, Chrystia Freeland held up a scarf promoting a far-right Ukrainian Nationalist movement linked to Neo-Nazis commemorating Stefan Bandera, the Nazi criminal. Freeland deleted her social media posts, but not before the photo was saved: https://tnc.news/2022/02/28/freeland-caught-holding-pro-nazi-banner-at-ukraine-protest/
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
11. Before the Russian invasion in 2022, David Pugliese wrote about Trudeau and Freeland working with Nazi groups in Ukraine. Here are two of his stories from November, 2021: https://ottawacitizen.com/news/national/defence-watch/allegations-of-canadian-troops-training-neo-nazis-and-war-criminals-sparks-military-review https://ottawacitizen.com/news/national/defence-watch/canadian-officials-who-met-with-ukrainian-unit-linked-to-neo-nazis-feared-exposure-by-news-media-documents
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
12. Those articles were published in the prestigious Ottawa Citizen. Here's an article in the Globe and Mail about Freeland's grandfather, a Nazi propagandist. She tried to keep that a secret for years, and then claimed it was Russian propaganda: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/freeland-knew-her-grandfather-was-editor-of-nazi-newspaper/article34236881/
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
13. Trudeau and Freeland routinely call peaceful, domestic political critics "Nazis" and "far right" and "racist". They're not of course -- they just disagree. It's Trudeau and Freeland who really do have a Nazi problem -- and it's coming from inside their house.
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
14. As usual, if it’s a report about Trudeau’s misconduct, you’ll read about it in the foreign press before you’ll read about it (if ever) in Canada’s news media, which has been colonized by Trudeau: https://forward.com/fast-forward/561927/zelenskyy-joins-canadian-parliaments-ovation-to-98-year-old-veteran-who-fought-with-nazis/?amp=1
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
@LevittMichael @CanadianFSWC @CIJAinfo @bnaibrithcanada @AHousefather @mgeist @LindaFrum 15. A masked agent provocateur unfurled a Nazi flag just long enough to be photographed and that’s enough for Canada’s regime media to denounce 100,000 truckers as racist. Trudeau deliberately invited a Nazi soldier to Parliament and… crickets. #MediaParty #JustinJournos https://t.co/HisQGPEBhH
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
16. Google has 738,000 hits for "trucker convoy Nazi", all stories from one fake photograph of an agent provocateur with a swastika flag that no-one else saw. 738,000 hits. Trudeau invited an actual Nazi SS veteran to Parliament and so far, not one story from the Regime Media.

Holy sh!t. Justin Trudeau just met with a full-blown Nazi and Holocaust denier. Here’s a sample:

Here is the hidden camera footage of my interrogation at the hands of two 30-year RCMP veterans hired by Trudeau to investigate me. They asked me why I didn't register my book about Trudeau's government with the Trudeau government:

BREAKING: I’m in Federal Court against Trudeau today — he’s trying to censor my book about him. I’m sending this from the Federal Court of Canada. For the next eight hours I will be on trial for writing a book called The Libranos. There is an army of lawyers here from the Trudeau government. If they win, they will set a terrible precedent, making it illegal to publish books critical of politicians without first “registering” those books with the government. In the 2019 Canadian election, there were 24 books published about Justin Trudeau. 23 of those books were pro-Trudeau. And then there was my book, “The Libranos: What the Media Won’t Tell You About Justin Trudeau’s Corruption”. That enraged Trudeau — especially when it became a best seller. So Elections Canada assigned a dozen staff to investigate and prosecute me. They’ve been hounding me for four years. They have already fined me thousands of dollars. And I’ve had to spend $100,000 in legal fees. But I’ve appealed to the Federal Court. And today is the day that political freedom — and the right to criticize the government — lives or dies. You might be thinking, “there’s no way books can be banned in Canada just for criticizing Trudeau. It sounds too crazy.” See for yourself. Go to http://TheLibranos.com to see the court documents surrounding today’s hearing, including my lawyer’s submissions, and Trudeau’s accusations. Let me quote from a notice I received from the Manager of the Compliance Unit of Elections Canada’s censorship branch: “the book title’s reference to “Librano$“,which was clearly designed to create an association between the name of a registered party and The Sopranos, a mafia-themed television show, and to link the party to corruption… drawings of the show’s characters were replaced with drawings of the leader and other public figures of the party.” Trudeau’s staff are now deciding what words and even what pictures we can use to criticize Trudeau. He really meant it when he said China’s dictatorship is the country he most admires. You might recall that Trudeau assigned two 30-year veterans of the RCMP to go after me — one of whom specialized in counter-terrorism. Those senior cops interrogated me for an hour. I’ll never forget it: one of their questions was to ask me why I didn’t register my book with the government before I published it. Here’s their theory: they claim that because my book criticized Trudeau, it was campaign propaganda and had to be registered with the government. Even though Canada’s election laws specifically exempt books and the promotion of books. I’ll be live-tweeting the hearing today, and I’ll also give you a video update during breaks. I’ve got a great legal team: the same lawyers who beat Trudeau in 2019 when he tried to ban Rebel News reporters from attending the election debates. Hopefully we’ll beat Trudeau again, today. If not, a terrible precedent will be set. If you can help me cover the costs of this lawsuit, please do. I suppose I could just pay the fine and move on. But that would set an atrocious precedent. We have to fight back, and set a precedent for freedom. If you give me the tools, I’ll finish the job. Please click here to help me pay for today’s freedom lawsuit. Yours very gratefully, Ezra Levant Rebel News P.S. Not a single journalism organization or civil liberties group has said a word to support me. Amnesty International, PEN Canada, the Canadian Association of Journalists, Canadian Journalists for Free Expression, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association — not one of them has even issued a statement, let alone intervened in court. They don’t believe in freedom anymore — but I do. P.P.S. The smart move for me would be to pay the fine and move on. Challenging this censorship is 50 times more expensive. But how could I just accept Trudeau crushing one of our ancient civil liberties? I must fight — not just for my own book, but for everyone. Please help me at http://TheLibranos.com

BREAKING: We just crushed Trudeau’s minister Steven Guilbeault in court. He illegally blocked us on Twitter. Today he was ordered to unblock us & pay $20,000 to Rebel News. His lawyers tried to get me to keep the details secret. Read the facts here: http://TwitterLawsuit.ca
@ezralevant - Ezra Levant 🍁🚛
Rebel News just crushed Steven Guilbeault in the Federal Court of Canada. And in doing so, we struck a blow for freedom of speech and freedom of the press for everyone. Here’s some background. Like his boss Justin Trudeau, Steven Guilbeault hates Rebel News because he can’t control us. We’re one of the few media companies that doesn’t take government money, so we don’t toe the government line. So the Liberals always look for ways to punish us. Like Trudeau, Guilbeault doesn’t care about freedom of the press or other constitutional rights. They both admire China’s dictatorship and they think they can act like little dictators themselves, by censoring us. And they’re both thin-skinned and petty. So here’s what Guilbeault did. He ordered his government department to “block” us on Twitter. So we couldn’t receive any government news updates from his department’s Twitter account. We couldn’t read anything, we couldn’t reply, and of course we couldn’t ask him journalistic questions on Twitter. We were effectively kicked out of the public square, which is what Twitter has become. We were banned from a government service just because we disagreed with a politician. So we sued. We went to the Federal Court of Canada and argued that we had a right to see those tweets — that it was a government service like any other. Remember, this isn’t Guilbeault’s personal account, it’s his government account — he has more than 20 government staff who run his Twitter. It might sound like a small thing but if Guilbeault can cut us off from receiving news and other information from the government, what else can he cut off? We’ve already seen Trudeau ban companies who don’t agree with him from receiving summer jobs grants. What’s next? Guilbeault fought us for more than two years. We had a court hearing in Toronto this summer and the government had SEVEN lawyers in the court, all just to stop us from seeing their tweets. What a shocking waste of money. Well, today Guilbeault finally caved — he agreed to a “consent order” against him. His lawyers must have told him that he had no case and the choice was either to settle now, or be humiliated at trial. I should tell you, Guilbeault’s government lawyers tried to get me to sign a confidentiality clause, banning me from disclosing the details of his settlement. Even as he was admitting he had violating our rights, he wanted to keep it a secret. What a crooked, corrupt government this is. Guilbeault has been ordered by the court to un-block me and to never ban me again, as long as he’s an MP. It’s glorious to see. And Guilbeault has been ordered to pay Rebel News $20,000 for making us waste two years and enormous legal fees to assert our constitutional rights. Of course, he’ll probably make taxpayers pay that for him, even though it was he was broke the law. $20,000 sounds like a lot of money, and it is — but unfortunately, it’s just a fraction of what we had to spend to finally get this little thug to back down. (I can only imagine how much it cost taxpayers for Guilbeault to have SEVEN government lawyers defending him — he’ll probably try to keep that amount secret, too.) In some ways, today’s victory is a small thing. But having the Federal Court smack down government censorship is never a small thing. And it sets a precedent for all other bullies in Trudeau’s government, reminding them that they cannot use public resources to carry out a vendetta against their political critics. This is a win for all journalists. Because the precedent will apply to politicians of every political party. We have made Canada freer for everyone. That’s something that the “official” civil liberties groups used to do. But we were in court alone — not a peep from the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, or Canadian Journalists for Free Expression or the Canadian Association of Journalists or PEN Canada or Amnesty International. Not a single so-called civil liberties group intervened on our behalf, because they have all been colonized by Trudeau. They all support censorship. Well, Rebel News won anyways. Steven Guilbeault lost. And every Canadian is just a little bit freer. It’s a great day. Ezra Levant Rebel News P.S. I’m glad that court ordered Guilbeault to pay us $20,000 in legal fees. But in reality, we spent over $95,000. If you believe this is an important victory, please help us pay our legal bill by visiting http://TwitterLawsuit.ca (thanks). P.P.S. I’m savouring this victory over that sanctimonious creep Guilbeault. But unfortunately, Rebel News is under attack by other government censors, too. That’s the thing about the left: they’re relentless, and they hate the idea of an independent news organization that doesn’t obey them. If you can help us stay strong, please click http://TwitterLawsuit.ca. I promise I’ll keep fighting for freedom. (Thanks.) P.P.P.S. Special thanks to our freedom-fighting lawyers, led by Chad Williamson!
