Video Transcript AI Summary
You claim to be running against the Ottawa establishment, yet you've been part of it for a decade. Why should anyone believe you're not part of the establishment? People can see the dynamics of the race. I resigned because I recognized the need to focus on the threat posed by Donald Trump. Wouldn't you have had a better chance to help Canada by staying in cabinet? No, Canada is strong and will impress the world with our resilience. I take pride in rallying Canadians and advocating for our country every day.

Speaker 0: You told my colleague, Catherine Cullen, that you're running against the Ottawa establishment, the establishment that you have been a key part of for a decade. Why on earth would anyone believe the claim that you are against the establishment, that you are not part of the establishment? Speaker 1: Look. I think that people can see very clearly the dynamics of the race. But the reason that I'm asking Speaker 0: people to do this question was. I said, why would people believe that you are not part of the establishment given the the proximity you had to the prime minister for a decade? Are you actually just saying that because that is the only possible way for you to win at this stage? Speaker 1: Rosie, not at all. And I think it's important for people to remember that I resigned. I'm the minister who had the courage to do that. I'm the minister who saw that we needed to be relentlessly focused on the threat that Donald Trump posed. Speaker 0: Would you not? I'm not better. Speaker 1: Rosie, I'm not, I didn't just I'm not just saying that today. Yeah. I said that on December 16 before these when you're not in place. Speaker 0: Would you not, Kristy Freeland, have had a better, opportunity to help the country had you stayed at the cabinet table in whatever capacity the prime minister wanted you to. You would have been able to take on Donald Trump right now. Speaker 1: No. Canada is strong. Canada is going to astonish the world with our strength, and I am very proud every single day to be out there talking to Canadians, rallying Canadians, and speaking out for Canada.
