The Royal United Service Agency reported that the Canadian Air Force is facing a shortage of pilots, with only 56 available for NATO missions. Despite acquiring 88 Australian fighter jets, there is a lack of pilots to operate them. However, the procurement of new aircraft, including 16 multi-mission planes and 88 F-35s, is expected to address the pilot shortage. The Canadian Air Force remains committed to training and retaining pilots, and there are no plans to withdraw from NATO missions. However, the full operation of the F-35 fleet is not expected until 2032, and relying on the United States for pilot training may cause delays in addressing the shortage.

Speaker 0: RUSI reported the Royal United Service Agency came out Speaker 1: with their report on on the Canadian, Air Force fighter jets, And they're saying we're down to 56 pilots that we cannot maintain to operate nor at a NATO mission. And, you know, You're one of your predecessors, mister Sagen, went out there and bought a bunch of used Australian fighter jets. We got 88 aircraft supposedly, but we don't have the pilots to fly them. Are Are we gonna be withdrawing from NATO and doing any air policing? Speaker 2: Or And if I may, as you as you're well aware, we have undertaken Entered into a contract for the delivery of 88 of the F-thirty five's. Just last week, we also announced the procurement of 16 new Or up to 16 new p p eights for multi mission aircraft. In my conversations with general Kennedy Kenny, he's he's been very clear That the acquisition of these new aircrafts on both the multi mission and the new fighter aircrafts really creates an opportunity for him to turn around the challenge that they have faced in in in recruiting and training new pilots. It's an expensive proposition. We talked about the cost of training these pilots, Well, we remain committed to it. We are acquiring the aircraft that the Royal Canadian Air Force needs, and those the newly acquired aircraft will create New opportunities for us to meet our our recruitment, training, and retention goals. And, no, we are not withdrawing from any any missions. And in fact, mister mister Bevan, I believe, surely, these new acquisitions are going to enable us to fulfill our our NATO commitments And to do the important missions that we were obliged to do. Speaker 1: But we also know that we're not getting the F-thirty 5 fleet in full operation until 2,032. So we don't have the pilots for the CFA teams. We know that the training in Canada has been wound up, that we're going to be relying on the United States to train our pilots. And they have a backlog of their own pilots plus other allies to get through their own system. So we aren't gonna be able to address the pilot shortage quickly enough to deal with the threats. The war is not gonna wait for us if if if things continue to escalate on the global scene. Speaker 2: I I would always invite general Kennedy to to speak for himself

Speaker 0: An economic update from a couple of weeks ago. There is looks appears to be $1,500,000,000 less in it for Ukraine for operation reassurance. So are we backing off on our support for Ukraine because it's definitely less money than what we've given them in military aid? Speaker 1: That's an extraordinary question coming from you, mister. Speaker 0: Well, I want to see more. What's that? And I want to see more, but I'm not seeing actually a reduction. Speaker 1: Well, and you'll have every opportunity to continue to support more because that is the work that we are doing. Canada has so far committed $2,400,000,000 of aid to Ukraine and we've been delivering on those commitments. There are our most recent announcement was for 50 additional laps and medical, armored medical vehicles for Ukraine, and we're working very Closely with GDLS in in London to to to ensure that the production of that is accelerated and those vehicles will be delivered as quickly as possible to Ukraine. But but there has been no abatement or easement easing of our commitment to Ukraine, and we have been continuing to deliver. As a matter Back just just about a week and a half ago, I announced the delivery of nearly 11,000,000 rounds of ammunition to Ukraine, also with assault weapons And and other winter, equipment that they they Ukraine said they needed from us, when they ask, we deliver. Speaker 0: Thanks,

More footage from the seconds before peaceful protesters were trampled by police on horseback. OPS claimed there was aggression & needed to create space & deescalate. Lies. Some were thugs in uniform & had to be restrained by their peers. Choppy video-it was recorded it live
