Insecure individuals attempt to justify genocide by distorting the meaning of certain terms. Let's clarify their intentions: 1. Intifada signifies a nonviolent uprising against Israel's oppressive colonization and occupation. Palestinians sought to break free from brutal control. 2. A call for revolution aims to rectify the unjust system of Israel's settler colonial regime. Palestinians demand freedom, human rights, dignity, and an end to apartheid. 3. "Holocaust 2.0" refers to the ongoing atrocities against Palestinians, an unimaginably evil assault on humanity. No one should monopolize the term Holocaust, especially not those justifying Israel's mass atrocities. These expressions should not threaten anyone who believes in universal freedom and equality.

Perhaps these people are so insecure because they’re grasping at air to justify genocide? Let me explain what they’re trying to pass off as threatening to Jews: 1. Intifada means “a shaking off.” Its an uprising against oppression. It was the name of our 1987 nonviolent uprising against Israel’s colonization and occupation of our land when we sought to “shake off” Israel’s brutal control of our lives. 2. A call for revolution is a call for change in unjust systems like Israel’s settler colonial regime. It’s a call for something better and more just. Palestinians are calling for freedom, human rights and dignity; and an end to the apartheid system of Jewish supremacy. 3. Holocaust 2.0 is referring to what is happening now to Palestinians, which is the most perverse, evil, unbridled attack on humans and on humanity that many of us have ever seen. No one has a monopoly on the word Holocaust, ESPECIALLY not those justifying Israel’s mass atrocities. None of the above should threaten anyone who believes that ALL people deserve freedom and equality.

I never thought I’d see this @UofMaryland, my alma mater. Students chanting “there is only one solution - intifada revolution.” “Holocaust 2.0” written on campus. A university with the 4th largest Jewish student population in the country—over 6,000 students (20% of campus). https://t.co/7hVVwkxPjq
