A Black man has been charged with capital murder for the killing of a Vietnamese woman. 35-year-old Fernando Taylor was arrested this week for the brutal attack and murder of 56-year-old Tho Tieu. Tho Tieu, known to the community as Mrs. Kim, was robbed and killed in the parking lot of her Pho San Nam Vietnamese Restaurant in Arlington, Texas on the morning of December 29. Taylor traveled from Houston on the day of the killing and followed Tieu before attempting to rob her. Taylor ran over the victim with his car after she fell during the struggle.

September 2023. Manhunt underway for extremely dangerous convicted felon in Baltimore. Police are looking for 32-year-old Jason Dean Billingsley for the murder of 26-year-old Pava LaPere, CEO of a tech start up. LaPere's body was found at her apartment complex Monday morning at 11:30. Officers found the victim dead with severe head injuries but are remaining mum on other details of the murder. Billingsley is wanted for first-degree murder, assault, reckless endangerment and additional charges. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police Commissioner Worley warned "This individual will kill and he will rape. He will do anything he can to cause harm”. Police do not think LaPere knew her killer. Billingsley has quite the criminal record: he pleaded guilty to first-degree assault in 2009 and second-degree assault in 2011. He also pleaded guilty to a first-degree sex offense in 2015 and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. September 2023. 24-year-old Ja’Keivious Arnold has been arrested for the murder of a young Asian woman, Mitchel Dang, 25. Miss Dang's body was found in a parking garage in downtown Atlanta in August of this year. Arnold has been charged with murder, kidnapping and robbery. Detectives are releasing few details at this time other than the victim and her killer were strangers.

September 2023. Clay County, Alabama. Jasmine Hider copped a plea deal for the August 2022 killing of Adam Simjee in front of his girlfriend. Hider flagged the couple down in the Talladega National Forest under the auspices she was having car trouble. The con woman then marched the two into the woods at gunpoint when Simjee pulled his own gun out and shot her in self defense; he was also hit and died at the scene.
