On May 28, Wu posted a photo on x of 3 people who died in the Tiananmen Square massacre. He claimed that this was the first time the photo had been published, and the photographer did not want to reveal his his name for safety reasons. Wu stated that this photo was taken at noon on June 4, 1989 at the China University of Political Science and Law or CUPL. Wu and approximately 20 other people witnessed these bodies firsthand on that day. Wu reported that at approximately 6 AM on June 4th, 3 Chinese army tanks pursued a group of students as they were leaving Tiananmen Square. Tank number 106 collided with protesters, resulting in the deaths of 11 people and causing injuries to many others. A driver in Beijing took the initiative to use a truck to transport the bodies of 5 students to the CUPL as evidence for a future lawsuit against the military for a massacre. Then the 5 bodies were moved inside the lecture hall due to the hot sun outside. By noon that day, 2 bodies had been identified and taken away by the school.
